Chapter Eleven: A Friend in Need
Kion, Bunga, Ono, and Beshte chased after Fuli, determined not to leave their friend alone in her distress.
Kion: "Fuli, where are you?" He called out, his voice filled with concern.
Bunga's keen ears picked up the sound of soft cries coming from inside a hollow log.
Bunga: "She's in that log." He said, pointing.
They hurried over to the log, where they found Fuli curled up tightly, burying her face in her paws.
Kion: "Fuli, are you okay?" He asked gently, kneeling down beside the log.
Fuli: *muffled* "Leave me alone!" She snapped, her voice muffled but full of pain.
Kion: "Come on, Fuli. Please come out." He pleaded, but she remained hidden.
Fuli: "No, go away!" She insisted, her voice shaking with emotion.
But the Lion Guard wasn't about to abandon their friend. Bunga, ever determined, crawled into the log and gently tugged on Fuli's tail, trying to coax her out.
Fuli: "Bunga, I told you to leave me alone!" She protested, her voice growing more desperate.
Bunga: "Well, you wouldn't come out, so I had to pull you out." He explained, his tone light-hearted despite the situation.
Frustrated, Fuli tried to retreat back into the log, but Bunga still had her tail firmly in his grip. She pulled away, but Bunga refused to let go.
Bunga: "I'm not letting go, Fuli." He said, his grip unwavering.
Fuli: "Hrrrrrr." She grunted in frustration, still resisting.
Ono: "It's okay, Fuli. You can talk to us." He said softly, trying to reassure her.
Fuli: "Hrrrrrr-Ughh. I told you, I don't want to talk!" She growled, continuing to struggle.
Beshte: "We're here for you, Fuli." He added, his voice full of compassion.
Kion: "You're not alone." He nodded, his voice gentle but firm.
Realizing how much her friends cared for her, Fuli finally sighed deeply and stopped struggling. She sat down, her body relaxing slightly.
Fuli: "You can let go now, Bunga." She said quietly.
Bunga nodded and released her tail. The rest of the Lion Guard gathered around her, offering their support.
Fuli: "Bongo was supposed to be my best friend. But now he believes everything that his dad thinks about us. I don't think Bongo will ever be my friend again." She said, her voice trembling.
She began to cry, and her friends quickly wrapped her in a big hug, offering her the comfort she desperately needed.
Kion: "Fuli, you know that deep inside, Bongo is still your best friend. And you are still his. You just have to believe in it." He said softly, his words full of hope.
Fuli: "Yeah, I guess you're right. Thanks, you guys." She wiped her tears, her heart feeling just a bit lighter.
Kion: "Hakuna Matata." He replied with a smile.
Ono: "No problem." He added, his voice warm.
Bunga: "We're your friends, Fuli." He said, his tone cheerful as always.
Beshte: "And friends will always be there for each other." He agreed, his smile reassuring.
Fuli finally smiled, feeling the warmth of their friendship surrounding her. They shared another hug, drawing strength from each other. Just then, Fuli's ears perked up, her sharp hearing catching something alarming.
Fuli: "That's Bongo! He's in trouble!" She exclaimed, her heart racing with worry.
Kion: "Then let's go save him! Till the Pride Lands' ends!" He immediately took charge.
Bunga, Fuli, Ono, and Beshte: "Lion Guard defend!" They shouted in unison.
Without wasting another moment, they hurried toward Bongo's family's tree, determined to find out what was wrong and save Fuli's best friend.
