Chapter Twelve: The Battle for Bongo's Family
Janja and his hyena clan had surrounded Bongo's family, their eyes gleaming with malice.
Janja: "Alright, boys, looks like we've got Bongo and his family surrounded." He sneered, his voice dripping with sinister glee.
Bakari: "Janja, what do you want from us?" He stepped forward protectively, his voice steady despite the fear in his heart.
Janja: "We just want to invite you over for dinner!" He grinned wickedly.
Cheezi: "Hehe. Yeah, for dinner!" He echoed, his laughter maniacal.
Chungu: "Because we're so hungry!" He added, his voice full of excitement.
Janja: "Would you two furbrains shut it, so we can eat!" He rolled his eyes in frustration.
Amara: "Please don't hurt us." She pleaded with them, trembling.
Bobo: "Leave our Mom and Dad alone!" He stood tall, not one to be intimidated.
Bongo: *stutters* "Y-Y-Yeah." He added, trying to sound brave despite his stutter.
Janja: "Awww, the little baboon can talk." His grin widened as he mocked Bongo.
Cheezi: "Wait, he can talk now?" He asked, genuinely surprised.
Chungu: "I thought he doesn't talk at all." He added, looking confused.
Janja: "Hehe, well, even though he can talk. What's he going to do with that little stutter of his?" He chuckled darkly.
Bongo started to shrink back, feeling insecure under Janja's cruel words.
Bobo: "Hey, don't make fun of my little brother's stutter!" He snapped back, not willing to let his brother be insulted.
Janja: "Oh yeah? And what are you going to do about it?" He taunted, his eyes narrowing.
Bobo glanced at Bongo, who nodded in silent agreement. They were ready to fight back.
Bobo: "We're about to do…" He began.
Bongo: *stutters* "T-T-This!" He finished, his voice strong despite the stutter.
In a swift movement, Bongo kicked Cheezi, and Bobo landed an uppercut on Chungu. The brothers fought bravely, kicking and punching, putting up a good fight despite being outnumbered.
But their courage wasn't enough. Nne and Tano quickly overpowered them, tackling the brothers to the ground and pinning them down.
Bongo: "Ugh! Ugh!" He grunted as he struggled against Nne.
Bobo: "Hrr! Mmm!" He growled, trying to free himself from Tano's grip.
Janja: "You two got some good tricks, but it ain't going to save you or your parents!" He bared his teeth, looming over them.
Bakari: "No, don't hurt them please!" He pleaded desperately, seeing his sons in danger.
Amara: "Someone, please! Help our sons!" She cried out, her voice filled with fear.
Just then, the Lion Guard arrived in the nick of time.
Kion: "Janja, get away from the baboons!" He roared as he tackled Janja to the ground.
Bunga: "Zuka Zama!" He shouted as he took down Cheezi with a well-placed blow.
Ono flew in circles around Chungu, distracting him long enough for Beshte to charge at him.
Beshte: "Twende Kiboko!" He bellowed as he sent Chungu sprawling.
Meanwhile, Fuli, seeing that Nne and Tano were still pinning down Bongo and Bobo, moved with lightning speed to subdue them.
Nne and Tano: *growls* They growled in defiance.
Fuli: *snarls angrily* Back off, hyenas!" She snarled, her voice filled with fierce determination.
When Nne and Tano tried to tackle Bongo and Bobo again, Fuli swiftly took them down.
Fuli: "Tackle my friend again, and I swear you'll regret it!" She warned, her voice low and dangerous.
Realizing they were no match for Fuli, Nne and Tano fled in fear.
Fuli: "Are you both okay?" She immediately turned to Bongo and Bobo.
Bobo: "We're okay." He nodded, his voice steady.
But Bongo, still shaken and filled with anger, looked away, crossing his arms in silence. Without a word, he ran to his parents, leaving Fuli standing there, her ears drooping in sadness.
Bobo: "Don't worry, Fuli. I'm sure Bongo will come around." Seeing the look on Fuli's face, he tried to reassure her.
Fuli managed a small, sad smile, but her heart felt heavy as she watched Bobo follow his brother.
Amara: "Bongo, Bobo, are you okay?" She rushed to her sons, her voice trembling with relief.
Bobo: "We're okay, Mom." He replied, but his eyes were filled with concern for his brother.
Amara: "Thank goodness, Fuli saved you." She said, her voice filled with gratitude.
But Bongo's heart, still full of anger and hurt.
Bongo: *stutters* "I-I-I don't c-c-care! She's n-n-not my f-f-friend any-m-m-more!" He snapped back.
Bobo: "Come on, Bongo. You don't really mean that." He frowned, trying to reason with his brother.
Bongo: *stutters*"Y-Y-Yes, I d-d-do! Dad w-w-was right, T-T-The Lion G-G-Guard are tro-bl-bl-blemakers!" He insisted, his voice trembling with emotion.
Amara: "You see what you did, Bakari? Because of you, you've ruined your son's relationship with Fuli!" She turned to Bakari, her voice sharp with accusation.
Bobo: "Yeah, way to go, Dad!" He added, his voice tinged with disappointment.
Bakari, still resentful but also grateful for Fuli's actions, remained silent, the weight of his decisions pressing on him.
Kion: "Janja, from now on, you are going to leave Bongo's family alone!" He stood over him, his voice commanding.
Janja: "Alright, alright! Let's go, boys!" He grumbled, realizing he was defeated.
Cheezi: "But Janja, I'm still hungry!" He complained.
Chungu: "Me too!" He added, rubbing his stomach.
Janja: "Just move it!" He snapped, leading his clan as they retreated back to the Outlands.
As the hyenas disappeared, the tension slowly began to fade, but the damage to Fuli and Bongo's friendship felt deep and lasting.
