Three months after Kiara, Kovu and Vitani were born.

Mufasa was out patrol the Pride lands border with Runju.

Simba and Akila were at odds sometimes.

Kovu and Vitani were allowed access to play with Kiara.

Scar watch them from a distance while Zira hunting with her lioness team.

Akila was uncomfortable with being around Scar and the outsiders.

(With Nala and Malaika at sbathing rocks)

Nala sat down with her younger sister and ask "so, any chance, Kiara will have a cousin?"

Malaika laughs "actually we haven't talked about that yet. We're like almost two years old now."

Nala shakes her head "sister? Are you scared of mating with your mate?"

Malaika sighs "what was it like for you and Simba?"

Nala smirks "at first, painful, but after a few thrust, the pain turned to pleasure of mating. You become one with your mate intimately."

Malaika sighs "I'll try it with Akila tonight."

Nala grins "I'm going seduce Simba tonight if I'm lucky."

(At the border)

Mufasa and Runju reached the riverside border when Scar approached them.

Runju ask "what are you doing over here, Scar?"

Scar sighs "I got a visitor from mine and Mufasa's past."

Mufasa ask "who would that be?"

Scar nervous answers "Moto returned to come after us."

Mufasa ask "Mtoto?"

Scar nods his head "yes. He sent pack hunter to kill me."

Runju ask "so this Mtoto lion is coming after you two for revenge?"

Mufasa tells Scar and Runju "if Moto is coming to kill us, we have to prepare for battle."

"Right you are, Mufasa."

Mufasa, Scar look to the voice to see Mtoto standing with twenty lions.

Runju comments "I would feel good with help ourselves."

Mtoto commands "kill Mufasa and Scar!"

The lions attack.

Runju did his best to defend himself.

Three lions restraint him allowing Mtoto to attack Mufasa and Scar."

Once Mufasa and Scar was beaten enough after being attacked.

Mtoto snarls "you both defeat me in battle and my father replaced me. Now I'm going to kill you both."

Runju roars "NO!"

Mtoto stab Scar in his throat.

Mufasa whispers "King Simba will end this war."

Mtoto ask "who's Simba?"

Runju frees himself and pounced on Mtoto and bit his throat and ripped it open before the other lions could react.

Once Mtoto was dead, the other lions leave Runju heading home.

Mufasa moans "Runju."

Runju ask "yes, Mufasa?"

Mufasa pants "help support Simba."

Runju sighs "you need help, sire."

Mufasa shakes his head "my wounds are too bad to heal."

Runju panics and runs to home to get help.

Mufasa closed his eyes to rest.

Two hours later, Runju returned with help to carry Mufasa home for treatment.

Simba arrives at Pride Rock after Zazu informed him of the attack.

Akila ask "what happened?!"

Simba answers "I don't know what happened?"

At night, Runju woke up from his injuries and ask "how's Mufasa?"

Rafiki answers "I don't know. It's too early to tell. His wounds were a little deep. Only medicine can help. For now, we wait."

Two days later, Mufasa status hasn't changed.

Simba and Akila were doing their best to lead the Pride lands as kings.

Malaika ask "so, sister? How have you been, with being a mother and all?"

Nala answers "good. Kiara is a good cub."

Malaika sighs "after Mufasa was attacked, Akila been pushing me aside like I'm second to his father."

Nala gape "Akila been ignoring you?!"

Malaika nods her head "yeah."

Nala sighs "I'll have a talk with Simba. He'll talk to his brother for you."

She leaves her sister to go find Simba to have a talk with him about his brother.

Simba was observing Kiara playing with Kovu and Vitani.

Nala smiles "hey, Simba? Could we have a chat about your brother and my sister?"

Kiara smiles "hi, mommy."

Nala nuzzles her daughter lovely.

Kiara purrs in affection.

Simba ask "what's wrong with my brother and your sister?"

Nala answers "your brother has been pushing my sister aside and focusing on your father health and the kingdom."

Simba sighs "well I'll definitely have a talk with him about balancing between ruling a kingdom and spending family time together."

Nala ask "how are the cubs going for as socializing with each other?"

Simba smiles "their okay. Zira left to go hunt and mourn for Scar."

Nala sighs "I can't believe a lion from Mufasa's past came here to kill him."

Simba sighs "neither can I."

Nala tells him "I'll watch the cubs. You go talk to your brother before my sister decides to break up with him."

Simba nods his head and leaves to go find his brother, Akila.

He search everywhere in the Pride lands, until he found him by the hippos herd and says "we need to talk. Now!"

Akila scoffs "what could you possibly want from me?"

Simba answers "apparently, you have been ignoring your mate and not showing her love and affection. So talk to me."

Akila turns away and says "I feel scared to get that way with Malaika."

Simba sighs "what else?"

Akila ask "how can you be calm over everything that happened since you returned?"

Simba sighs "as a king, you must have all the pieces to paint a picture and sometimes the pieces can paint a fake picture and you could pass wrong judgment."

Akila ask "is that why you kept going see your uncle."

Simba nods his head "I wanted to know what caused him to turn dark and maybe help him let go of hate. He liked the idea of two kings law that I got passed."

Akila ask "why wasn't you afraid of Scar and his followers?"

Simba sighs "I was afraid, but I had three best friends to help me. Plus I told them when I came there with Sarafina, I told them I wanted peace between them and our pride."

Akila sighs "I guess I need to stop being afraid of things."

Simba nods his head "yep."

Akila smiles "I'm gonna go show my mate love."
