When President Oliver called in advance upon the immediate evacuation of the Mojave region due to numerous reports of the deadly winds coming from The Divide and the toxic cloud emerging from The Strip and Hoover Dam, I took it upon myself to evacuate every single man and woman out of that landscape. But General Monroe had different plans.
She had taken upon herself to redirect my orders of evacuating everyone to sending soldiers back into the Strip and that forsaken Dam on some make belief that they can still hold the land despite all the hellish things that are coming into the region.
I pleaded with her, I begged her to reconsider her orders as they would only be sending those troops to die for essentially nothing. But she ignored my pleas.
As The Fall was in full effect, I finally lost it with Monroe, outright yelling at her face and calling her out on her failures and her unwillingness to let go of the Mojave instead of saving the people they could.
One thing led to another, and two shots were fired, with one leaving Monroe dead in the temporary military camp of Boulder City.
With me in charge of the forces, or. . remaining forces in the Mojave, I immediately called upon total evacuation of the Region alongside its abandonment, as at that point it was too late to make evacuation procedures for the region, we could only save what we can as any other options were suicide or we just simply didn't have the time.
I thought that was the only decision. But rethinking it all after these years, I feel like I could've done more to save as many people as I can. As I can hear their voices asking why I couldn't save them, why I couldn't have done more.
And. . I just wish I could've done more. . maybe if I had acted sooner, less people would've suffered,
-General Hsu, Savior of New California (2294 - 2298)
If there is one thing that she could already hate just from walking down the dirt road. It would be how much she could still see even in the middle of the night.
While in hindsight it was better than having constant winds that blew dust every direction one should go, she simply didn't like the fact that she could see as much as it made feel uneasy each time she walked forward. At least in the Mojave she always anticipated that something was gonna jump out from the winds and attack her, here? Everything was completely clear as nothing was affecting her vision.
[55 Survival] And. . it felt like it was trying to lure her into a calm state. Where the area around her was attempting to make her feel like she was in a safe place where she didn't have to fear anything at all
Admitally that is what The Dust Survivor felt as she walked through the road.
Until she came across two hunters preying their eyes on a house which they discussed as a potential victim for them.
The Dust Survivor didn't know the extent of how bad cannibalism was outside of the Mojave. As she never was informed of how bad things were for regions of California or Arizona. The only place she knew that suffered from something was the NCR as after The Fall the NCR faced mass starvation due in part to failing crops and lack of water.
But that was back in 2291, and as far she knew, the NCR was still operating as she had the misfortune of dealing with their rogue elements for two years.
Regardless, while she wasn't particularly surprised that Cannibalism is a thing out of the Mojave, she was. Very confused on the choice of protection they had chosen.. Or for a better term that they lack protection as one was virtually going around without anything to protect its skin from being struck by a bullet or blade. Not that she was complaining, makes it easier to put them down.
What made it odd about them was just how clean their skin was. Which bothered her a lot as it meant a lot of things if they were that clean, and one thought that was looming her head was that they weren't hunting because they were desperate for food or they've lost all sense of meaning, they were just hunting for sport and to bring whatever remains to their 'Civilized home'.
The Dust Survivor utterly despised that, it always made her blood boil in rage whenever she came across a group like that. While she only came across a settlement like that only once, it still didn't make it feel any better regardless.
Then added the simple fact that they were mutants. Did she know what kind they were? No but they certainly weren't some kind of ghoul variant as their skin wasn't rotting to any capacity nor has she ever witnessed a mutant have wings and skin of a Coyote. But it did make her wary of where she was as if there were gonna be some kind of variants of Human mutants.
. . .
. . .
And she really hoped that there wouldn't be any plant mutants. As she has no real desire or mood to discover if they were a real thing in her time in this place.
As she continued to walk down the seemingly endless paved road, her eyes caught onto something up ahead, two wagons to be exact with no animal in carrying it or any corpses near it, The Dust Survivor began immensely wary as she slowly pulled out her Ranger Sequoia from her holster as she slowly crouched down as she approached the empty. .
Car-
Ca-. .
. . .
Caravan?
Yeah, Empty Caravan.
As she slowly made a reasonable distance from the Caravan, she stopped her movement to see and hear any movement. Nothing happened. Wanting to make absolutely sure there wasn't anything in there wanting to jump her. She picked out a rock that was on the side of the paved road, and she simply threw it, hitting the wood of one of the wagons. And again, there wasn't any movement within the wagons.
The Dust Survivor then slowly moved inward towards one of the wagons and slowly peaked her head inside. It was completely devoid of any life as the only thing inside was a bunch of crates inside. She then slowly crouched towards the other wagon and had the same result inside. She looked over to the sides of the road expecting some kind of ambush any second, yet. The night remains quiet as it has ever been.
FInally giving herself the chance to relax for a bit, she put revolver back into her holster and walked towards one of the wagons and opened the back part of it and grab onto one of the crates and pulled it out letting drop onto the ground, she then crouched down and manifested a crowbar into her hands and plucked it into the near opening of the crate and lift it open by the crowbar as the lip opened.
She then placed it back into her internal storage as she then checked the contents of what was inside of the crate and it was. .Apples? She stood there for a second before crouching down and picking up the apple as she inspected it. Through the thick gloves, she could feel that it was pretty fresh and it showed by its bright red color. She couldn't recall the last time she saw a food this fresh was in the Divide or at Camp Golf.
There were also other contents inside of the crate, she didn't know what they were but some were in the colors of orange, red, even green. Didn't know what they were but she assumed they were something related to Apple. As she examined the apple once more, she felt her stomach feel a slight ache, signifying that she was evidently hungry and sensed there was one source of food right of her. Well there wasn't anything showing anything wrong the food,
She then proceeded to slowly remove her gas mask as she held it with her right hand, her dried mouth then opened as she then took a bite out of the apple and. .
[Heartless] Something felt off. .
She didn't know what it was but the taste almost felt nonexistent as she felt like she was biting into nothing. Even as she chewed she felt suddenly unnerved by something as she then swallowed the piece inside of her, but even when looking inside of the apple, it still looked very fresh.
Maybe it was just her not being used to eating anything fresh as she only ate things that were irradiated or rotten. She didn't exactly recall apple tasting like that when she was in the Divide, but maybe it was just her.
The Dust Survivor simply sighed as she took another bite out of the fruit and chewed only once.
[Heartless] And she immediately felt the taste repulsive as she spat it out from her mouth as she dropped the apple on the ground as her hand then landed on the wagon as she began to cough before eventually vomiting out her guts onto the ground.
She began to breath heavily as she slowly went to her knees as she placed her hands on the ground as she gurgled out just a bit more of puke as she collapsed onto the floor. Her body shook violently for about a good few seconds before she slowly got back up again back to her feet.
Her body was still shaken but was stabilizing itself as she felt the disgusting taste fade away as it was going back to a tasteless state. She felt her breathing returning normally as she made a clear focus on the apple she had taken a bite into.
As far as she knew, apples don't even taste like that, regardless if it was fresh or rotting, she could still tell if one was digestible. And it's pretty clear that this apple was messed with.
Or rather, someone had taken the opportunity to poison the insides of the apple.
Did she know what exactly was inside, not a damn clue but she had to assume it was something meant to knock her out. And if by going with that logic alone, then it means they are nearby. Watching her.
The Dust Survivors head spinned as she looked around her surroundings, merely checking each feasible spot where one of the perpetrators could be. Which wasn't exactly a lot as there were only open spaces and small parts of a hill. Which didn't exactly make a lot of places where one would hide.
[Perception 2/2] She then heard muffled voices coming from a good distance behind her.
Slowly turning around, she could hear the voices much more clearer, two to be exact. Coming from behind a small hill.
The Dust Survivor tensed slightly as she heard the faint voices coming from the hill, but it did confirm that some were waiting for her specifically, and ain't figured out she heard them.
[Sneak 75/75] Crouching down, she slowly began to make her way towards the source of the sound as her footsteps barely made any noise as she went across the paved road and into the grass. As she got closer to the voices, she heard the voices of two women speaking to one another behind the small hill.
With one being particularly annoyed.
"Sha. How incompetent do you have to be to mess up one simple thing!?"
"Wh-How was this my fault!? How was I supposed to know that-"
"I literally teach you this every single week! And when the time finally comes to containmate something as simple as fruit! You somehow mess it up!"
"I DIDN'T-"
"Ugh! This will be the last time I leave you alone to do something as simple as poisoning a prey!"
. . .
Did. . Did they think this is some kind of. . some kind of. . some kind. .
. .
Sport was it. . ?
Did they think it was that? A Sport?
[Psychotic Rage] The Dust Survivor felt her blood beginning to boil as her hands balled into fists as her vision began to redden in rage as her head shook slightly by the mere thought of more of these 'Civilized Cannibals'
And without a second thought on what she was going to do next, she stood up as she rushed forward towards the two being over the hill. As the voices stopped as the Survivor went over the hill and saw two mutants laying on the ground. One appeared to be taken off guard as the mutant jumped back slightly out of shock, and the other attempted to grab some kind Sledgehammer off from the ground.
She then kicked the mutant right in the jaw as it was getting up with its weapon as it fell down back as they rollled slightly down the hill. Seeing the mutant holding down on it's jaw as it was bleeding while struggling to get up, The Dust Survivor took the opportunity to go and run towards the mutant as it had her eyes widened in complete fear as it noticed her immediately.
The strange mutant attempted to pull her hand up to stop her but was ignored as the armored woman punched her in the face knocking her back down onto the grass. At this point, she crouched down and began to punch her again and again.
And each punch made her vision redder and redder as everything around her surroundings went void as the sounds of the punches and screams of the cannibal mutant went louder and louder.
Then, everything went completely red.
If there was one way to describe the atmosphere around Amberwood.
It feels tense.
That was the only way to properly describe it.
Despite the residents of the town still doing their day to day activities and while they didn't necessarily have any change in the town.
It was constantly up in the air.
Most likely due to the news of Mamono raids and Bandit raids against their surrounding areas. In the past week or so, there were raids of small farms as the families living there suddenly disappeared or their neighboring town of Eldoria, which was 5 hours away, was being harassed by Bandits which rumors stated were a small village who had their homes destroyed by the order due to it housing Mamono sympathizers.
The residents of Amberwood. While concerned about the bandits, they were more concerned of the possibility of Mamono infiltrating inside of the town. And despite the possibility being somewhat low at the moment and being ensured by the guardsman that nothing will happen. The atmosphere still feels tense.
And the one who had to hear most of these concerns was Aiden.
Aiden was a simple man from the people of Amberwood, he didn't have any particular strengths or weaknesses, he was simply a bartender to serve those who enter the bar and give them something to end their worries after whatever job they needed to do. Some had hinted he got that from his father when he used to own the bar, he didn't know where they got that from but he digressed.
And seeing it was bright in the morning, there were only a few who were in the bar, just the ones who had their day off or had an injury, so they couldn't go to work and were just spending their time drinking away. Not that he had a problem with it as they were mostly just in the corner just drinking or dozing off. Practically the quiet ones.
Within the morning, he would sometimes use the opportunity of an empty bar to refill the alcohol or to simply clean some dirty parts of the bar that he missed from the cleaning the day before. But he ran into one issue that made it very apparent when he got a visit from his friend Bobby who usually brings in the delivery of alcohol every two weeks.
"What do you mean they didn't arrive last night?" Adian questioned as he paused on cleaning the counter.
"I don't know how much more to say to you man, the watchmen said that no deliveries arrived last night," Bobby stated once more as he took a cup of whisky.
Adien placed his hands on face as he breathed loudly. "Did they check at least at what time they were supposed to arrive or sent out somebody to check?"
Bobby simply shook his head. "Look man, the delivery was supposed to have arrived in the afternoon yesterday man. And because it didn't arrive in the afternoon, you can have a wild guess what happened to the delivery"
Adien placed his hand on the bottle of whisky as he poured some into a glass cup and drank it as he took in the new information. He sighed before looking at Bobby again. "This is not good man, am about to limit how much I have to give out until I receive a new shipment right?" He stated toward Bobby.
Bobby raised an eyebrow at that statement. "How much do you have?"
Adien placed his hand on his forehead as he did the math inside of his head as he gave an answer to him. "Well if I ration with what I have, then I would make it 2 weeks at best, maybe another half? Maybe. And before you ask," He suddenly said to Bobby who stopped raising his finger. "If I don't ration at all, then you can expect everything to be dry within three days."
Bobby frowned at that but made no further comment as he went into his right pocket and pulled silver coins and placed them on the counter. "Thanks for the drink Adien and um. . sorry for the bad news"
Aiden just simply slowly nodded his head before he waved him off as Bobby walked off from his line of sight. After hearing the bar door open and close, Aiden sighed once more before continuing to clean the counter.
It was not good. Not at all.
He knew that while rationing the liquor was the most obvious approach, it also meant that people would drink less than they wanted. He might get some problems from his daily customers, and it didn't exactly help that a majority of them were on edge just looking for a way to drink their worries away even more than usual.
Feeling a migraine coming up, he stopped cleaning the counter before turning around and viewing the alcohol that was behind him. After a good minute, he picked some Gum and poured it into a small glass cup. Before putting the bottle down and taking a good drink on the cup before placing that also down.
He sighed as he slowly shook his head before turning around only to jump slightly out of the shock of an armored figure standing across the counter.
Aiden yelped out slightly as he breathed heavily in and out as he looked at the figure. The figure looked like it was just staring at him directly in the eyes as he slowly gained his breath. He placed his hands on the counter as he took one final breath before speaking up. "You know you could've at least said something. .?"
Aiden waited for a response only for. .nothing to come out of the armored figure. Well just assuming from the armor itself and how the body was shaped, Aiden just had to assume that it was a female. But the female was just unresponsive to his question.
"Hello. . ?" The man said quietly as he waved his hand to where the female was looking towards. And it was only then when the armored figure slowly turned their head directly at him and.
He felt his skin go cold.
Aiden couldn't explain at all, he just felt suddenly unnerved by the women just staring at him. Almost like it had a presence around them that just made him just feel terrified to some capacity.
Finally, the woman then slowly pointed it hand behind him. Looking behind him and seeing where the woman was pointing, it was pointing to an old sign of available rooms in the upper floors,
If Aiden had to think of the strangest thing that his father ever thought of, it would be adding an apartment into the bar. He asked once to him of why he wanted that in the first place, he never gave a clear answer, always giving out excuses or what not. And those apartments on the second floor didn't get any traction, maybe just a visitor each 5 months but that was about it.
He turned his head back into the woman and onto the sign of where rooms were on sale. "Do. . Do you want a room?" The Aiden simply asked.
There was a moment of silence before the armored woman courtly nodded her head and retracted her hand down. Aiden then turned around and walked towards a drawer, pulled the top one open and went through a pile of keys before finally picking one up before walking towards the women and placing the key on the counter.
"Um. . your room is at the end of the hall on the second floor. .Ma'am." Aiden slowly stated towards the woman as she simply stared at him. The woman then turned to the side before making her way out of the bar section and into the stairs while slowly going up.
As Aiden heard the steps fading away, he then felt much more calmer when her presence left. Which left him very confused on why he felt the sudden spike of fear when the women looked at him. It clearly showed that she wasn't a Mamono as they give off a different kind of aura, but it still didn't make it sound any better.
He then slowly realized that he had just forgotten to ask her to pay for the room, he faceslamed a bit before sighing it off as he'll just ask her should they leave their room during the day.
As Aiden grabbed his cloth to walk over to a table to see if it was dirty, he looked at the entrance and realized something.
How in the hell did he not hear her open the door in the first place?
The Dust Survivor slowly walked down the hallway as its eyes were directed at the door to which the bartender down below told her. She had the key on her hand as she was now faced with the door, she simply moved her hand to the keylock, turned it and the door was open as she walked inside, closing and locking the door behind her.
Inside was nothing too remarkable, there was a simple bed, a table with a mirror, a closet, a window and a drawer. Just the basic needs for a person staying for the day.
She walked towards the bed simply observing it as she slowly sat on the edge of the bed as her eye directed towards the wooden floor before closing her eyes as she let out a slow but barely audible growl.
. . .
She might have lost her appetite for the rest of the week. .
The Dust Survivor didn't mean to do what she did back last night, but she didn't have control over herself anymore when she felt incredibly angered and so hungry that last night. Maybe if she had brought food for herself before she went out to take out the courier, she wouldn't have done what she did that night. Maybe she would've been incredibly pissed but maybe she wouldn't have lost herself in the process.
The moment of realization when her senses came back to her. . and the moment of what she was doing. .
The Dust Survivor immediately shook her head to keep the thoughts away for the time being, she couldn't be thinking about that, not now at least. She needed to cool off and to sleep.
Which she was already not keen on doing in the first place, but she needed to give her body a rest as she barley would recall the last time she did, and her fatigue was starting to show as she could remember almost collapsing twice throughout the journey and she didn't to pass out suddenly while walking down a street.
The last time it happened, she almost lost her life to a bunch of Cannibals.
Taking a deep breath, she then slowly layed down on the bed as her helmet made contact with the pillow and. . despite her head being protected by the Ranger Helmet, she could feel the softness of the pillow and how soft the bed itself. Really the truly most comfortable thing she ever felt for as long as she could remember.
Another thought for comfort was the town she discovered, if she had to take a wild guess, it would be similar to that of Boulder City. And the residents are, mostly normal people, kinda reminds her of the folks in the Divide. As she could see how pleasant they are and how they do things. Despite her spooking the guards and the bartender unintentionally by her appearance and her [Terrifying Presence].
Though they did look on edge for some of the people. .but again that could easily be a number of things, whether it'd be Tribals or Cannibals, seeing how much of a defense they have, she wasn't concerned that much.
And she didn't see anyone eating human meat, so that was much more comforting to know.
Before The Dust Survivor could enter her somber, she slowly pulled out of her handheld Pip-boy and clicked on the radio section and lowered the volume by a large amount before pressing play on a personal save on songs.
And a song in a calm tune, gently rang out in the room.
"I can see that lone star from a thousand miles away
Calling me back home, though I've ventured far astray
When I see that beacon shining for me all alone
It calls me back to Texas and to home"
The Dust Survivor hummed to the song as she then lowered Pip-boy onto the drawer. She then placed her hands onto her stomach as she felt her somber slowly taking her. She then closed her eyes as she gave out one sigh of just genuine relief.
For the first time in what felt like years, she rested.
If there was one way to describe the scene that Lord Alita of the Orc Tribe was seeing. It was a tragedy by any accounts.
When Lord Alita heard about two of her own going off on their own to set up an ambush to possibly get a husband on the previous location where her tribe raided a couple of small travelers. She wasn't really concerned as she would get to see them in the morning or in the afternoon when she finally decided to get the remaining supplies in the wagons. And even should they get into trouble, Alita had full confidence that Kristi could've handled it as Sha ran away to get help from her sisters.
But something went wrong the moment her underlings said they saw smoke in the middle of the night and heard the faint yet loud shrieks of presumably Sha ringing.
Alita was dumb, she had simply that Sha was having fun with a new husband, one where Sha could've brought back to camp and show em all that she finally did something when she first joined the tribe. And the smoke? She just thought it was a small camp they made.
As her eyes went through the devastation. The wagons were completely burnt with whatever products that remained in there being turned to ash. Kristi was in a horrendous state, her face was mutilated to a point where nobody could recognize her face as whoever attacked her went deep into her skull. And Sha. .
Oh Sha. .
Alita's eyes looked upon a corpse. A corpse that looked completely unrecognizable to any capacity, Her entire body was covered in blood. Her organs were exposed as someone has seemingly cut open her up as they ripped their skin off, parts of its body was scattered in the field including the mutilated head which had nothing more than a petrified expression forever placed on its face.
And the worst part? There were parts of her insides scattered across the corpse, and looking deeper into the limbs and organs. There were multiple bite marks.
Someone had eaten parts of Sha as she was still alive.
That is what shook Alita to her core, someone had done this to one of her underlings, one of her own followers. And she was scared.
But also furious.
That some human had done this to her, a girl who was just going out on her first run outside of the tribe. And this is the first thing that happens to her. Not even including the simple fact that they ran after her.
After Kristi and Sha were buried respectively where they died. The two Orcs that came with her had a face of sadness and fear. Their eyes were still red due to their cries, some were still shaking from seeing the state of their fellow sisters.
But one thing kept ranging in her mind.
Someone had to pay for what they did to her underlings.
And to track where they could possibly be was very simple. Amberwood.
Whoever did this was most likely headed towards there.
Gripping hard on her Battle Axe, she tapped on the shoulder of one of her girls and firmly said. "When we arrive at the camp, rally all the girls. Because tonight we are going to sack Amberwood."
The Orc had a questioning look before nodding. "S-Should we tell them what happened to them. ?" The Orc quietly questioned.
The Lord Orc simply shook her head, surprising the Orc. "No. It'll only dampen their morale. We need them at their fullest confidence"
The Orc looked to be questioning the decision the lord had stated, but simply nodded slowly before walking on. Alita then looked toward the direction of Amberwood, and she only made one promise.
That tonight, they will find who did this to her girls, and they will be heavily punished for their horrific crimes. Regardless if they are male or female.
"Sooo. . She is here at the moment?" Guardsmen Collins questioned as he gestured his thumb upstairs.
Aiden took a quick look at the ceiling before nodding his head. "Yeah she's been there the entire day. Hasn't gone out or anything" He simply commented as he took a small sip on his cup.
Colins frowned slowly as he gave Aiden a questioning look. "You sure that she's not doing anything in that room"
Aiden then gave the Guardsmen a blank expression before shaking his head. "Nah, I came in the middle of the day to simply check on her because she was quiet and all, and. .she was practically knocked out in the bed"
Colins frown then disappeared as he simply nodded as he took another sip from his cup. Aiden knew that Collins was a paranoid guy, which is why he gave more alcohol to him than the others. Because frankly, if Collins didn't get his alcohol, yeah things would go bad pretty badly for him.
Suddenly his train of thought was interrupted when the front door burst open showing a frantic Guardsman rushing to Collins as he took in some deep breaths before speaking up to Colins. "Sir, you need to come with me, the Orcs are here!"
Colins eyes went wide as he dropped the cup and stood up. "Oh for the love of- Aiden!" Which caught the Aiden out of his shock momentarily. "Lock the door up and hide, don't be stupid about it!" He said as he got his helmet and rushed out alongside with the other guardsmen out the door.
Aiden followed behind as he locked the door behind them. After confirming it was locked, he then turned as he rushed behind the counter and moved a barrel revealing a hatch and he frantically pulled out his key and opened it.
Before he even went in, he then remembered about the woman upstairs. Cursing to himself, he frantically stood up once as he ran towards the drawer and rummaged through the keys before picking up the spare key. He then made his way through the bar and up the stairs, even slightly losing his balance due to how much of a rush he was in.
As he made it into the hallway, he rushed down as footsteps were loud as they echoed through the building, he then knocked frantically on the door the woman was in. "Ma'am!" He yelled out as he knocked once more as he put the key on the door. "Ma'am! You need to come with me! There is a raid goin-"
He didn't have the time to register it before the window right next to him broke open and an Orc landed right next to him. He tried to open the door but was then pulled by the Orc and pushed to the wall.
Aiden looked up as the Orc standing in front of him smiled lustfully, then her hands were placed on him as she spoke in a low tone. "Mmm~ A young one are ya?~ Lets see how much ya got~"
The man attempted to get the woman off of him, to fight back at any capacity. But the Orc kept her grip firm as her smile grew as one of her hands began to lower and lower. "Get the hel off of me!" Aiden yelled out but the Orc only laughed at him.
But before the Orc could do anything to the man. The door suddenly opened causing the Orc to turn her attention towards the door only to be met with a Machete being placed between its eyes.
The sudden attack caused Aiden to crawl away for a bit before stopping as he watched the Machete slowly being removed from the Orc as the dead Mamano was then kicked by the Armored woman as it now laid lump on the floor as its corpse bleed. Turning his eyes towards the stranger, he could now see the woman's mask, which was vacant of anything before, now having blue lights emitting from them as the woman then looked at him.
Aiden yelped in response as he crawled one more step. The two stared at each other for a moment before the armored figure walked forward causing Aiden to shake slightly as his breath quickened as his eyes drifted from the bloody machete and to the blue lights of the woman.
Then, the woman then placed the machete behind her as she then gave a hand, Aiden looked at the hand momentarily before he then took it. As the woman got him to his feet, Aiden took a deep breath as he momentarily looked at the Orc corpse before looking at the women. "Thanks. ." He said slowly.
The woman was unresponsive as she simply looked at Aiden before looking towards the stairs. Aiden then spoke. "Hey listen, there is an Orc raid going on at the moment, I need you to follow me-" Aiden was immediately shut up as the woman placed her gloved hand onto his mouth. Before he could question why she is doing that. He heard a sudden crash downstairs and heard voices.
"Elena?~ You better not be messing with him by ya self!~"
Aiden felt his heart sank when he heard the Orc's enter inside of the building, the woman then removed her gloved hand from his mouth before motioning him towards the room he gave her. Aiden tried to say something before the women crouched and began to walk towards the stairs, he gave a glance between the room and her before eventually choosing to slowly go to the room.
As he entered inside, he then heard a strange sound of something being pulled back. But not wanting to know what it is, he simply closed the door and locked it.
"Ugh, what is taking Elena so long?" Richelle questioned impatiently as her foot stopped on the gravel.
Genie simply sighed. "Maybe she already took matters into her own hands? Why are you even questioning it?" She simply asked as Richelle scoffed.
"Genie. Every one of our sisters is either getting glory or having a new husband tonight, and Elena said she was willing to share one tonight with us!" Richelle spat out to Genie who simply looked away.
"Well, Marcy already went inside to go look for her, maybe they are looking a male. So if you're all so pent up. Why don't you-"
Suddenly a loud bang could be heard from inside of the bar, followed by a loud scream. Genie was shocked as she took a step back from the bang unlike Richelle who immediately grabbed her spear.
"Marcy! Hel damit!" The Orc simply stated before she rushed forward towards the entrance of the bar.
"Richelle! wait!" Genie attempted to say before Richelle was already at the entrance of the bar. And with a flashing light, something exploded as Richelle was pushed back with her arm disconnected from her and she was left there laying on the ground bleeding.
Genie screamed out of the top of her lungs seeing the sudden state of her friend. Her eyes were suddenly directed at the entrance as she gripped her Axe tightly while being a shaking mess while her ears were ringing.
At the entrance of the bar, there was a figure, a figure whose entire body was covered up in unknown armor to the likes she has never seen before. And she saw the eyes of the figure, looking at the cold, straight in the eyes as it was bright blue looking right at her.
And before she could do anything, the figure simply raised up something and pointed directly at her, and without a skip of beat.
She fired, causing Genies vision to go black.
Welp, this is another chapter done.
Now, before any of y'all say anything. Yeah the pacing in this chapter might be garbage. Or at least I hope not.
But regardless, I hope you enjoyed the chapter.
And I am really glad I got it out this month. Was kinda worried I would've done nothing for this month but alas, I did something. Maybe I'll get out another chapter this month as I have a pretty good idea what I am writing for the next chapter.
Also the title for the chapter sucks.
But yeah, hope ya had a good day/afternoon/ and night folks.
. .
. .
Also I gotta stop posting these chapters so late at night. Like jesus.
