Edd was quiet as he sat alone, watching the sunlight slowly come in through the open window.

"And today marks the beginning of the second day." Edd said as he took a small rock and etched a small line next to another one in his cell. He then readjusted his prison rags before sitting down in a corner of his cell to think

"HEY! COME ON ALREADY! LET ME OUT!" Eddy yelled from inside his own cell. "I DIDN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING WRONG THIS TIME! WHY AM I IN JAIL?!"

"SHUT UP IN THERE!" a guard yelled back while smacking the cell bars, making Eddy jump back and growl.

"Hiya, Eddy!" Ed waved from his own individual cell.

"And you! Stop sticking your hands out of the cell door!" the same guard snapped at Ed.

"Why?" Ed asked.

"Ed, just do as the nice guard tells you. We're already in enough trouble." Edd told his friend.

"Double D! Why aren't you angry?! We're locked up in prison!" Eddy huffed.

"Despite my calm exterior, I'm also quite upset about our predicament." Edd clarified. "Still, our incarceration is not without merit."

"Your fancy talking friend is right. You three are in here on the grounds of assaulting a member of Jarl Balgruuf's court." the guard spoke up.

"That was Ed's fault! He's the one who threw the stupid rock at the guy after he said 'Let me have it!' So why are we down here as well when Monobrow's the one who did it?!"

"The Jarl has been on edge lately. First with this war, then dragons returning. So seeing one of his loyal subjects attacked like that probably sent him over the edge." the guard answered. "Luckily, Farengar knows healing magic, so he was able to undo the damage to his face. Not even a bruise."

"Whoop-de-doo!" Eddy huffed.

"Despite Eddy's attitude of the situation, he does raise a fair point. Why was he and I put into prison as well?" Edd asked.

"I'm getting to that!" the guard grunted. "After some time, the Jarl will probably have you two released when he's calmed down. But as for your strangely chinless friend, he's to be kept in that cell for...what did you say earlier? This is the second day?"

"That's correct." Edd nodded.

"Then that means you've been here for a full day. Only four years and 364 more days for him." the guard answered.

"Oh dear! Five whole years?!" Edd asked in surprise.

"That's crazy!" Eddy yelled.

"What do you expect? Your friend attacked a member of the Jarl's court! An action like that would usually call for the death penalty!" the guard answered, making Edd and Eddy pale. "The only reason he's been given a chance to get out alive is because you said he's like a big, dumb kid!"

"That lunkhead won't survive in here for five years!" Eddy declared.

"Surely there must be a way to reduce his sentence! He's strong, so he could do manual labor!" Edd suggested.

"Not my call. Unless a miracle happens, he stays in that cell." the guard answered.

"Hey!"

Everyone turned as another guard approached the first guard.

"The Jarl wants the...Eds, I believe, up in the war room! Immediately!" they said.

Jarl Balgruuf, Farengar and Irileth were surrounding a table with a map of Skyrim upon it, many red and blue flags marking the locations of camps for both sides of the war. They were looking at it and discussing matters before the Eds, hands bound in rope and lead in by two guards, approached the table.

"As you requested, my Jarl. The criminals known as...Ed, Edd and Eddy. Who named these people?" the guard muttered the last part under his breath.

"Uh...hello?" Edd waved nervously.

"Hi, Mr. Jarl!" Ed yelled while waving with his whole arm, snapping the bindings with ease and sending the guards on edge.

"Ed! Shut up! Let me do the talking!" Eddy ordered.

"You three will be silent!" Balgruuf spoke up while the guards aimed their swords at the three's throats, making them shut up. "The reason I had you three brought up here is because my domain is in trouble. I just recieved word that a dragon has been spotted just west of here."

"Oh dear." Edd muttered before yelping when a guard brought his sword closer.

"Stand down, soldier." Irileth ordered, making the guard retract his sword.

"As you can surmise, my Housecarl, Irileth, will be taking a battalion of men to take care of this dragon. However, they've never fought anything like this before. That's where you three come in. You encountered a dragon in Helgen and lived to tell the tale. That means you three have the most experience with them, even if it's not a lot." Jarl Balgruuf explained before approaching Ed. "Your friends here will be released tomorrow as free men. You, however, I have sentenced to spend five years for attacking Farengar, despite that not being your intentions. However, I am willing to grant you your freedom, IF...you assist my men in destroying the dragon!"

"You mean Ed can be a dragon slayer?!" Ed asked, a big grin on his face as he started to radiate with excitement. "Cool!"

"I do not understand what you mean by 'cool' but I'll take your excitement at the thought of killing a dragon as a yes." Balgruuf stated. "Very well! I'll have your equipment returned to you so that you can fight."

"Wait a minute!" Eddy yelled, not minding the swords pointed at him. "You can't send Burrhead out to kill a dragon!"

"Silence!" Irileth snapped as she reached for her sword. "Your friend here has agreed! You have no say in the matter!"

"Permission to speak?" Edd asked while raising his bound hands.

"Are you going to protest as well?" Irileth asked with a glare.

"Even if I did, it wouldn't matter. That look in Ed's eyes says he won't listen anymore. I merely wish to ask to accompany you all as well." Edd answered

"Are you nuts, Sockhead?! You actually want to go out and fight a dragon?!" Eddy balked.

"Of course not. However, I do know that Ed needs someone to direct him. Otherwise, he'll either get lost on the way there or forget to dodge when necessary." Edd answered. "I merely wish to ensure that Ed walks off that battlefield alive."

"So you wish to accompany your friend? Then I shall allow it. Release his bindings and return his equipment as well!" Balgruuf ordered.

"Yes, my Jarl!" the guard answered.

"And what of you? Do you wish to join your friends?" Balgruuf asked Eddy.

"No way! One dragon was enough! I'm not going anywhere near it again!" Eddy declared.

"Very well then. Return him to his cell." Balgruuf ordered.

"Yes, my Jarl." another guard obeyed. "Follow me!" he ordered Eddy, who merely frowned at being ordered around.

"If you do manage to kill it, could you try and bring any of it's remains to me for study?" Farengar requested as Eddy was lead down the stairs. "I'd be willing to overlook your friends actions earlier. And I'd be willing to pay for an extras."

"Pay?! As in cash?!" Eddy yelled after zipping back towards them, making the guard do a double take at how fast Eddy moved. "Sign me up!"

The Eds, now back in their gear, were travelling with Irileth and a battalion of soldiers out towards the Western Watchtower, the last place the dragon was spotted.

"I can't wait to fight the dragon!" Ed said in excitement while brandishing his sword.

"I just hope this dragon isn't as powerful as the one from before." Edd said in a hopeful tone. "Your men did say that it wasn't a big black dragon, correct?"

"Indeed. It didn't match the description of the dragon you said you encountered in Helgen." Irileth answered.

"Then that means there's more than one dragon out there." Eddy said before his eyes turned to dollar signs, spooking some of the soldiers. "Which means more parts we get to sell!"

"Enough. This isn't a friendly stroll! We'll be fighting for our lives!" Irileth snapped as they approached the Watchtower. The area around had a few bits of scorched land, some having tiny flames burning here and there.

"Oh...Oh thank the Divine! Reinforcements!" a lone guard said in relief as he stumbled out of the Watchtower.

"At ease, soldier. Everyone! Spread out!" Irileth ordered. Everyone did while Irileth sat the weary guard down on a nearby stone. "Tell me what happened."

"It...It came out of nowhere. It was huge! It spoke in a language none of us had ever heard before it...it started to spew flames from it's maw!" the soldier described. "We tried to fight, but we only had a handful of men to fight. Aside from me and the soldier we sent to warn the Jarl, I don't think anyone else from the battle is alive."

"Don't worry, soldier. Help has arrived." Irileth said with confidence before she and everyone else perked up at the sound of roaring in the distance.

"Oh dear! I recognize that sound!" Edd said as he started to tremble.

"LOOK!" Ed yelled while pointing towards the distance. Everyone looked to see a large dragon approaching from the sky, it's yellow-green scales shining in the sun.

"Oh Gods! It's coming back!" the Watchtower soldier yelled in terror.

"MEN! BRACE FOR BATTLE!" Irileth shouted. The soldiers all drew their various weapons as the dragon approached.

"Oh man! Why'd I come out here again?!" Eddy whimpered again before the dragon landed with a thud, shaking the earth and making everyone stumble.

"Hmm! You mortals are back for more? Very well! I shall send you all to your deaths!" the dragon said.

"MEN! ATTAAAAACK!" Irileth ordered. The men all released a battlecry as they charged at the dragon, hitting it while either trying to block or dodge it's wings, tail or jaws. A few men were already lost from the attacks while the dragon tanked their arrows, melee and magic attacks

"ED WILL DESTROY YOU, EVIL DRAGON FROM THE SKIES!" Ed bellowed as he charged with his warhammer.

"Hmph. Another foolish creature trying to attack-"

BAM!

Everyone watched in awe and bewilderment as Ed swung upwards at the dragon's jaw with enough force to launch it skywards, flip over twice and land on it's back. The dragon groaned while Ed laughed in triumph.

"WOOHOO! NICE SHOT, LUMPY!" Eddy yelled from within the Watchtower.

"ED HAS SLAIN THE DRAGON!" Ed declared while raising his war hammer above his head, heedless to the dragon slowly rolling back over.

"ED! LOOK OUT!" Edd yelled. Ed turned back to the dragon just in time to see it spew flames at him, engulfing him in an inferno. The dragon ceased, leaving Ed a smoking mess.

"Ouch." Ed simply said while staring at nothing before falling over.

"ED!" his friends called out.

"Fried. Just the way I like my food." the dragon chuckled. He opened his mouth to devour Ed before he was soon assaulted by the soldiers, with Edd and Eddy joining in.

"LEAVE. OUR. FRIEND. ALONE!" Edd yelled as he kept launching arrows from atop the watchtower, with Eddy throwing small stones and insults at the dragon.

"OVER HERE, YOU GIANT LIZARD!" Eddy yelled as he tossed another stone, this one managing to hit the dragon in the eye. The attack made him growl before he turned his attention towards Eddy, who gave a nervous smile and dropped his stones before running inside. "HELP!" he cried out as the dragon launched another wave of fire at the tower, flames blowing in from the windows.

"Impudent coward! Come out and face your death!" the dragon snarled as he kept attacking the tower, making Edd stumble before falling down the tower steps, knocking into Eddy who was running upwards.

"HEEEEELLLLLLLP!" both Eds yelled, their voices reaches their unconscious friend.

"Who's there?" Ed asked as he rose up before shaking the soot off of himself. "Eddy? Double D?" he said before seeing the dragon attack the tower, with Edd and Eddy screaming for their lives inside. "MY FRIENDS!" he yelled before he ran over and grabbed the dragon by the tail. The dragon stopped and looked back at Ed, who was glaring at the dragon. "LEAVE ED'S FRIENDS ALONE!" he yelled before he pulled the dragon away and launched it backwards, causing it to land with a loud thud.

"Mmph! How can one little human be so strong?" the dragon asked as he righted himself. He perked up and turned at the sound of screaming before his jaw dropped at the sight of Ed running towards him, the entire watchtower being carried by the strongest Ed. With a mightly leap, Ed soared through the air as he aimed towards the dragon, swinging the watchtower towards him with all his might. The absurdity of it all left him too dumbfounded to even think of moving, allowing the tower to completely crush him before it crumbled to pieces.

"ED HAS SLAIN THE DRAGON FOR SURE THIS TIME!" Ed declared to everyone present, their eyes wide that you could practically see them through their helmets.

"Either I'm on Skooma...or that man just swung the watchtower around like a club." one soldier said.

"I haven't had a drink in weeks and I'm not believing it." another soldier answered. Other soldiers began to mutter to themselves after seeing Ed's strength. The only one silent was Irileth as she looked at the broken watchtower, her mouth hung open and her right eye twitching a few times.

"That was fun! Can we do it again, Eddy?!" Ed asked as he looked around, his smile fading at the absence of his friends. "Eddy? Double D?"

"...present."

Ed turned towards the broken tower to see Edd and Eddy crawl out, both of them battered and bruised.

"What are you guys doing in there?" Ed asked before having his throat clamped shut by an enraged Eddy.

"You idiot! WE WERE IN THAT TOWER!" Eddy yelled as he throttled his friend.

"If not for the fact that we've taken worse abuse in our show, I'd be very worried about dying from these injuries." Edd mumbled.

"How are those two alive?" one soldier asked.

"They're not normal. Are they even human?" another asked.

"Wait! What's that?!" a third yelled while pointing at the watchtower. Everyone snapped out of it and looked to see the dragon's skin start to peel and burn away.

"Eww! That's sick!" Eddy grimaced before a strange energy came out of the dragon and flowed into Ed, all while the dumb Ed just stood there in confusion. After it ended, Ed just continued to stand there and look at nothing, his eyes slowly going in opposite directions.

"Uhh...guys? My brain feels funny." he said.

"What brain?" Eddy asked.

"Ed! Are you okay?" Edd asked in concern while the soldiers started to chat louder.

"Did you see that?"

"I think he just...absorbed the Dragon's soul!"

"But wouldn't that make him...no. It couldn't be."

"Silence!" Irileth yelled, shutting them up before she approached the Eds. "You! The one called Ed! What did you do?!"

"Me? Ed smashed the dragon! Then funny sparkles ran into Ed and said Ed can go FUS!"

Irileth stumbled as Ed released a wave of energy out of his mouth, stunning everyone around.

"What the heck was that?" Eddy asked.

"Intriguing. Perhaps that strange energy from the slain dragon has gifted you with strange abi-"

Edd's words were cut off as a chorus of voices boomed through the air.

"DOOOOVHAAAAAKIIIIIN!"

"...Please tell me those voices were friendly." Eddy begged.

"Unbelievable." one guard spoke up. "Those were the Greybeards atop High Hrothgar."

"The who from the where?" Ed asked.

"There's no mistaking it. That power. That summons! There's only one explanation!" the same guard said as they stared at Ed, a shaky finger pointing at him. "Dragonborn!"

All of them were now staring at Ed again, the dim Ed staring back...before looking over his shoulder behind him.

"Where?" he asked, making his friends facepalm.
