Tornado adopts a Unicorn

It was a beautiful and peaceful day in Japan. You only have to ignore the constant explosions destroying Mother Nature, giant floating rocks that could crush entire buildings, and green streaks of lightning rampaging around.

Katsuki Bakugou was constantly using the force of his Howitzer Impact, destroying everything in its path without stopping for even a second.

Ochaco Uraraka removed the gravity of so many rocks that she constantly felt nauseous. She was way over her normal weight limit.

And Izuku Midoriya was pushing his body to its absolute limits, using OfA at 20%. He was just standing around, not moving an inch, to let his body adapt to OfA.

After the teens collapsed, agreen aura surrounded them, and they began to train again. It was like a loop. They destroy their body, they collapse, get healed, and start again. It was pure torture.

But why are they doing that?

Let's rewind the clock for a couple of days.

/

First day of training under Tatsumaki.

Tatsumaki stood before the brats to explain her harsh training regime. She wanted to make them stronger very fast, or else she would constantly have to wait for them to follow her on patrol. They needed to be fast and strong.

She looked at them with a serious gaze and spoke in an authorial tone. "Let's start with you, Sparky. During the first three days of training, you will focus on strengthening your explosions and letting your body adapt to them. I will heal you after you damage your arms too much, and then you can start again. After that, we will improve your movement. I will constantly throw small rocks at you from all directions that you have to dodge. If you get hit, I will increase the gravity around you, and we will start again. This time with more and faster rocks. And in the last two days, you will face off against me in a battle. If you collapse, I will heal you, and ... you know how it works by now." She finished her explanation emotionless, not caring that she was basically torturing the poor teens.

But Katsuki was not intimidated in the slightest. Quite the opposite. He had his usual grin on his face and was ready for the challenge.

Then, Tatsumaki turned her attention to Ochaco. "Now it's your turn, Chibi. Because your body is weaker than Freckles's and Sparky's, and your quirk is useless too, I have to train you even harder. Like Sparky, we will try to improve your weight limit for the first three days. That means that you will be removing the gravity of some heavy rocks I provide for you. You said your limit is three tons? That is pathetic. You will constantly remove the gravity of a rock that weighs at least one ton above your limit. And like Sparky, I will heal your body after it collapses from overusing your quirk. If you adapt to five tons, we move on to seven, then nine, and so on. After that, I will put weights on your body, and you have to dodge projectiles I fire at you. In these two days, I want to improve your movement. And you and Sparky will face off against me in the last two days."

Ochaco was shaking on the spot. What has she gotten herself into? It was torture. It was inhuman. She won't even survive the first day. Sweat began to run down her whole body.

Tatsumaki ignored the scared girl and focused on Izuku.

The poor boy looked at her, terrified. If the others had to go through that, then he didn't want to know what she had planned for him.

A smirk appeared on the espers face as she looked at Izuku. She really wanted to unleash his full potential. The energy inside him interested her tremendously. Her tone was making his skin crawl as she spoke to him. "Well, Freckles. Your training will be a bit simpler, but that doesn't mean your training will be easier. You will push your quirk to a point where your bones don't break and only tear apart your muscle fibers. Like the others, I will constantly heal your injuries so you can forcefully adapt your body to your quirk. I want you to reach at least 25% in the next three days. And again, like the others, you will be dodging projectiles I throw at you at high speed. With this, your body will adapt to move around at 25%. And lastly, a three-on-one fight against me. It's actually not much different compared to the others." Her tone was as emotionless as usual.

Izuku was petrified. Tearing his muscle fibers? Does she know how much that hurts?

The esper clapped her hands together and turned around to walk away. "Come, brats. You are training over there." She pointed to a little arena she built with her powers as she spoke to the teens.

Like she said, they will train every day from 2 pm to 6 pm, and Tatsumaki does her work from 8 am to 2 pm. Today is the only exception, as it's the other way around because she needed to attend class in the morning.

Let's start with Katsuki's training.

On the first day, Katsuki destroyed his arms fast. He could only fire his most powerful explosions 8 times before the strain became too much, and his arms tore open. Tatsumaki healed him like she said, but it still hurt like hell.

But the training was effective. Normally, this kind of training would not produce results, but because Tatsumaki constantly healed his arms, his muscle fibers regenerated stronger after every session.

Each time, he could make stronger explosions and keep going for longer periods. It was amazing how strong he could become if this continued for the rest of the training.

By the end of the first day, he could fire his strongest explosions a staggering 17 times without a problem. And they were at least 50% stronger than before. He had the nastiest grin on his face. With this, he surely will surpass the midget someday.

This continued for the second and third days.

By the end of the first phase of his training, he could fire them 36 times with an overall increased strength of 160%.

Then came the second phase. In this phase, he needed to improve his already strong mobility and adapt to the increased strength of his explosions. Tatsumaki fired numerous projectiles at him from various directions and at unmeasurable speed. As if that was not enough, his gravity was increased by 50%, and every time he let himself get hit by a projectile, it would increase even further.

At the start, he could keep going for one hour before collapsing from exhaustion. But Tatsumaki quickly healed him, and she continued the session without giving him a single break.

By the end of the second phase, Katsuki's stamina had dramatically increased, and he was way faster than before. His reaction time and reflexes also got an upgrade. He himself couldn't believe how strong he had become in just five days. It was like he had activated a cheat code.

There was just one problem. The nerd was getting stronger way faster than Katsuki. It was pissing him off. He couldn't understand how Deku was doing it. Is he really that weak compared to him? First, he got himself captured, and then All Might retired because of him. Then, he was rescued by Deku. Of course, he would never admit it to himself. But it was like a parasite inside his mind that constantly told him he was too weak. It was driving him crazy. Why must he chase after someone who was always so far behind him? Deku even got the attention of All Might. It was ...

He needs to get stronger. He needs to push himself even harder. He won't be behind the nerd anymore. He will surpass everyone.

But before we continue with Katsuki and look at Phase 3, let's see how the other ones fared at Phase 1 and 2.

For Ochaco, it was like hell on earth. She was constantly removing the gravity of herself AND rocks that together weighed 1 ton above her weight limit. The moment the training started, her nausea kicked in. It was like ... well, if she was old enough to drink alcohol, she would describe this feeling as the worst possible hangover.

Like Katsuki, she was healed the moment she collapsed from exhaustion. Then, Tatsumaki increased the weight by 50 kilograms. The esper was forcefully trying to increase her weight limit. It worked, yes. But it was totally inhuman in Ochaco's eyes.

To make it worse, the esper moved her around the air and spun her around like crazy. It was like Tatsuamki enjoyed tormenting them.

She actually was.

By the end of the first phase, Ochaco's weight limit had increased by 9 tons. She could now remove the gravity of objects that weighed 12 tons.

But in phase 2, Tatsumaki pushed her even harder. Because Ochaco, compared to Katsuki and Izuku, was not a prodigy when it came to fighting, Tatsumaki was extra hard on her in this phase.

Ochaco had to remove the gravity of several rocks with a total weight of 5 tons. These rocks were fixed in place by Tatsumaki in the air like a 3-dimensional spider web. Additionally, Tatsumaki put some weights on Ochaco, adding to a total of 6 tons. Then, Ochaco needed to remove her own gravity. With her in the air now, she needed to dodge Tatsumaki's projectiles.

How?

Simple!

She had to push herself from rock to rock. It were the rocks Ochaco removed the gravity from, that Tatsumaki fixed in the air around herself.

Yeah, this was no training. It was madness.

But the results spoke for themself. By the end of the second phase, Ochaco tremendously increased her perception, reflexes, and instincts. She was like a totally different person.

And lastly, we have to focus on Izuku's training.

Izuku was currently pushing OfA at 14%. It hurt all around his body. His muscles tore apart, and he got cramps in every part of his body. The healing he got fixed the injuries, but the pain was unbearable. But at least he could increase the percentage of his quirk. It was like he got 10 days of training in just 1 hour. He's glad to improve, but would it hurt to just get 5 minutes of rest? Apparently not. Tatsumaki said, "If you have time to whine about the pain, you are not pushing yourself hard enough."

By the end of the first phase, he could use OfA at 25% without a problem. He thought Tatsumaki would be proud of him, that he had reached the goal she had set for him. But Tatsumaki said that he should have aimed higher than that. At this point, Izuku thought that nothing could please the esper.

The second phase, again, was not that different compared to Katsuki's and Ochaco's training. His gravity increased several times, and he needed to use 25% of OfA to dodge the projectiles that Tatsumaki threw at him. If he got hit, the gravity increased even further. Like Katsuki, his reflexes, mobility, and other aspects of him got sharper and better by the end of it.

And now it was time for the face-off against the Tornado.

For the next two days, 4 hours per day, they will fight against Tatsumaki three-on-one without a single break. Tatsumaki wanted to push them beyond their limits and even further. She was ruthless. She pushed them into the ground and broke several of their bones in the process. Of course, she healed them instantly, but it was still inhuman.

With Katsuki, she only needed to push him really hard. This punk learns the best when he is pushed past his limit in battle, so his training was straightforward.

Ochaco, on the other hand, needed to learn how to fight properly. Yes, she was already not bad in that regard, but it was still the one aspect where she needed to improve the most. So Tatsumaki simply told her to constantly attack her head-on. With this, she got the needed experience when it came to fighting in close quarters.

Again, she was extra hard on Izuku. Why? Because she felt something inside of him. It was like something wanted to be unleashed. She couldn't describe it otherwise. Like a sleeping beast that would rampage completely mindless. That was the feeling she got from him.

Freckles even acted differently this entire time. He was hiding something. The moment the third phase started yesterday, he was acting different. More nervous and cautious. It was like he had a nightmare or something.

The truth, however, was a bit more complex. He was inside some kind of mind space or something else when he got to sleep after finishing the second phase two days ago. He could see two people standing face to face with each other. The shorter one was arguing with the taller one. And the taller one was mocking the shorter one. It was bizarre.

After that, the scene changed. The shorter one stood before Izuku now and said something that creeped him out. "It is time. Ninth." What the heck?

That was two days ago, and this feeling inside of him only grew stronger. He doesn't know what will happen to him. And it's scaring him. Is OfA in danger? Did he do something wrong? What if he does someth- BAM!

Izuku was hit on his head by a rock. "What the hell are you doing, Freckles? Get your head out of the mindwork and concentrate on the training. Are you going to daydream when you fight against some villains, or do you want to defeat them?" Tatsumaki noticed his mind wandering and hit him with a rock.

That's it. She will force this strange energy out of him. If he wants to daydream, it's his problem. But he had better not come to her after training and cry about her methods.

The majority of her focus was now on Izuku. She threw rock after rock and several energy beams at him, increasing the gravity and getting faster and faster with the projectiles. Izuku was trying his best not to get hit. But it was becoming nearly impossible, and his muscles screamed at him.

But Tatsumaki won't give him any rest. "You better not give up on me now. If I see you getting hit by something for the tenth time in the next 3 minutes, you won't be doing hero work with me and the others. Come on, show me what you've got!" Her tone was getting even rougher now. The 'nice' approach was over.

Izuku couldn't believe his ears. Did she just say he couldn't accompany her doing hero work? Oh no. He can't fail here. What will All Might say to him if he loses this one-in-a-million chance? He can't let this strange feeling hold him back anymore. He needs to go even further beyond.

PLUS ULTRA!

With his newfound determination, he dodged projectile after projectile. But it was still too difficult. He was already hit seven times in the span of two minutes. If this continues, he will fail this exercise. He needs to be faster.

Faster, faster, faster, faster. Get faster, Izuku Midoriya.

Dodge, dodge, dodge, dodge. You need to dodge everything.

Izuku wasn't even blinking at this point. His whole mind was occupied with thoughts about getting faster and dodging.

Another hit. This time, his right shoulder.

One for All burnt within himself. His limit of 25% was not enough, and he has pushed further to 30% now. The muscles on his body were aching. It hurt so fricking much. His eyes were burning because he wasn't blinking, and it was getting harder to find room to breathe.

He got hit in the stomach. NO! Just one more hit, and it was over. He still has 28 seconds remaining.

This can't be it. He will not fail here. But ... it was impossible.

Izuku was with his right knee on the ground, and several rocks and lasers were coming at him from all directions. It was over. He can't dodge this.

ZING!

It happened unbelievably fast. One moment, Izuku was in an unavoidable situation, and then he was next to Tatsumaki.

Tatsumaki was surprised. She was sure he wouldn't have been able to dodge that. Only she could have dodged that. How did he do it?

But that was not all. Freckle's eyes were unfocused. What the hell had happened to him? His aura completely changed, and he felt like a new person.

A smirk appeared on her face. "Heh, color me surprised. I was sure you were done for. Good job, but there are still a couple of seconds remaining. You sure you can keep going?" She taunted him with a mocking tone, but Freckles continued staring at nothing.

She raised an eyebrow at that. 'Did he just ignore me?'

Not liking his new attitude, she increased the speed of her lasers and the rocks. They were once again flying at him from various directions, but Izuku still had this unfocused expression on his face. And without even flinching or looking around, he dodged all her projectiles without much difficulty.

Okay, what the hell happened to him?

Not trusting the current situation, Tatsumaki scanned over the brat with her powers. And thank god she did that. It looked like the kid was freaking out and scared shitless. Is he trapped inside his own mind?

Deciding to defuse the situation, Tatsumaki overloaded his system, and he fell unconscious.

"What the hell happened to the nerd?" Katsuki asked no one in particular, confused and slightly annoyed.

Ochaco was at a loss too. "I don't know. But I think Tatsumaki did something to him."

The esper faced them and crossed her arms. "Well, I will only fight you two for the next couple of minutes. Freckles over there is unconscious. I could wake him up, but it feels like his mind is occupied now. So let's wait till he wakes up naturally." She said in an emotionless tone as she got ready to fight again.

Giving them no time to prepare, they were immediately attacked by the merciless esper again.

/

'Where am I? What is this place?' A confused Izuku asked himself as he found himself in a strange place.

In front of him was a ginormous vault door, and he was standing on concrete floating in the air. Eight chairs were before him, one of which was occupied. The man on the chair had long white hair and green eyes. He looked a bit annoyed.

He stood up and walked to Izuku as he sighed in confusion. "Haaah, you should have awoken a different quirk, you know? Blackwip would have been the best quirk to master first. But it happened. We just have to make the best out of it." The man explained calmly. His aura was strangely comforting.

Izuku doesn't know what the heck is happening right now, but it seems this strange person isn't a threat. He hopes so, at least.

What was a bit annoying was that Izuku couldn't seem to be able to speak here. Strange fog covered some parts of his body, including his mouth.

The man looked at Izuku and began to speak again. "You must be confused. Let me explain things from the beginning. My name is Hikage Shinomori, and I'm the fourth user of One for All. The feeling inside your head that you felt during the battle against that esper was my quirk, Danger Sense. One for All evolved and reached singularity. You will be able to use all of the past user's quirks in the future." He began to smile at Izuku. "I will give you a tip to make it easier to master my quirk. Just let it happen, and don't push against it. Now, you should wake up again. You were unconscious long enough." The man, now Hikage, explained the situation in a calm tone.

Izuku wanted to ask so many questions, but he found himself in the waking world again.

He was on the ground, looking up at the sky with an esper that looked down at him, with an interested but annoyed look in her eyes. "Spit it out, Freckles. What the hell happened to you five minutes ago? And don't you dare lie to me. I know when someone is bullshitting their way out." She threatened him with her usual cold aura.

This situation could not get any worse. How should he explain this without telling her about OfA? Her perception is dangerously sharp, and her intellect is nothing to scoff at either. Izuku must be very careful not to accidentally tell her something that could lead to OfA's secret getting out.

"Ummmm, I ca- can't really explain this myself, but ... it seems I have awoken a new aspect of my quirk. I got this strange feeling inside my head that told me where the danger was coming from. And suddenly, it was easier to dodge. And I think ... I will develop more abilities in the future. I have more of these feelings inside me. It is the same feeling I had before unleashing this new power. So, in theory, I will be getting more abilities in the future. I think?" He tried to explain things as carefully as possible to avoid making Tatsumaki suspicious of him.

Tatsumaki looked at him for a long time, her gaze sharp as ever as she looked directly into his eyes. Then, she crossed her arms and huffed. "Hmph, that's fortunate and unfortunate at the same time. It's good that your power finally showed its true colors, but now we must train for an extra day to get you accustomed to your new ability." Tatsumaki used her telekinesis to move around the brats, placing them down side by side before her. "Alright, that's enough for today. I promised to let you do some patrolling with me tomorrow, but instead, we have to use the day to train Freckle's new ability. You know the way home. And don't be late tomorrow." With that, she flew away, leaving the teens for themself in the wasteland.

Katsuki was annoyed by this. "Great! Fan-fucking-tastic, you shitty Deku. I will push you into the ground tomorrow for ruining my first chance of being a hero. Tch, I need to fucking vent." Katsuki angrily told Izuku in his usual rough tone and flew away as well.

He was angry to be stuck on another day of training. Yeah, the training was effective, but he really wanted to beat up some villains. But the main reason was that Deku seemed to be getting further ahead of him. Again, this voice told him he would never be number one and that he would forever be stuck behind Izuku's shadow. It was driving him mad.

Izuku was still rooted in place. He's just glad that Tatsumaki does not seem to be suspicious of him. Katsuki's angry declaration that he would put him in his place was not his priority right now.

Ochaco saw Izuku's tense state and tried to calm him down. She grabbed his shoulder and spoke with a calm and gentle tone. "Don't worry, Deku. I think it's really cool for you to get a new power. We will get through this together. Let's get back and calm down first. Okay?" She told him in hopes of getting him out of his tense state.

And it kind of worked. After getting back his bearings, Izuku shook his head and smiled at Ochaco. "Thanks, Ochaco. You're right. Let's just get home and think about this clearly." He sounded far more relaxed now. He's glad to have such nice friends.

He picked Ochaco up, she removed their gravity, and they took off with a blast.

/

In the week that Tatsumaki trained the brats, she was also working as a hero. She did not have as much time as before, but it was still enough to satisfy her needs. She was active worldwide and was the sole reason the crime rate was under 10% in every country.

It was not officially announced yet, but the projections show a clear picture. The villains are so scared of her that they either give up being villains or confess all their crimes. It was unbelievable.

At this point, she had numerous titles given to her by fellow heroes, civilians, and villains. The Symbol of Terror, The Monster of Japan, and Tatsumaki the Unstoppable were just some of them. She kind of liked the last one.

But she can't think about that now because it's time to pick up Eri from the Hobo. It's so frustrating that Eri is fond of this half-dead insomniac waste.

The only one to blame for this is herself though, because Tatsumaki was the one who told Eri to befriend as many people as possible. But she preferred that Eri's friends would be closer to her own age and not some middle-aged men.

Tatsumaki arrived at the dorms and bolted to Aizawa's room. Without knocking, she walked inside and spotted Eri on the couch, playing with the Switch-9. Eri noticed Tatsumaki and sprinted across the room with a large smile. "Mom, you're back early."

The esper crouched down and welcomed Eri in a hug. "Yes, I am. We made good progress today, so I finished training the brats sooner. Do you want to do something with me?" She asked Eri as she picked her up and began to walk outside.

Aizawa saw the esper leaving and quickly stood up from his chair. "Hey, wait! You must tell me what you are doing to my students. They come home every day, covered in wounds, and are so exhausted that they can't even speak anymore and walk straight to bed. They don't even tell me about it in class. Izuku and Ochaco are too afraid to talk about your training, and Katsuki only tells me it's hard. They are kids, Tatsumaki. You have to ..."

She had already left the room and left a fuming Aizawa in it.

Aizawa may look like a rough guy, but underneath all that, he is a caring teacher who wants to protect his students at all costs and just wants to prepare them for the future that awaits them as a hero. Tatsumaki's training may make them stronger, but they still should enjoy it to some extent. He will have to talk with Nezu about it. He seems to be on good terms with the woman.

With his thoughts set, he continues grading the tests of his students.

/

Tatsumaki still had Eri in her arms as she walked through the dorms of 1A. She looked at her daughter and smiled. "Hey Eri, do you want to practice with your quirk today? Nezu told me yesterday that you tried to get better control over it while I was away training with the brats." She asked calmly.

Eri looked at her with wide eyes. A look of betrayal could be seen. "Awwww, why did he tell you that? I wanted to surprise you." She pouted and crossed her arms. "Hmph, I must get back at him. He ruined my surprise for Mommy." She cutely said in a low voice as she glared at nobody in particular.

For Tatsumaki, it was like looking at a miniature version of herself. It was really cute, in a way. However, she may have to tone down her antics around Eri, or she will end up like herself in the future. She patted Eri's head and spoke in a soft tone. "Don't worry about it. To tell you the truth, I would be way happier if you trained your quirk with me."

Eri's glare softened. "Hmmm ... okay. Then, can we get the little dinosaurs from Nezu?" Eri asked her mother exited.

Tatsumaki looked at Eri, confused. "Dinosaurs?"

The kid in her arms nodded at her. "Yes! They are soooo cute. And they can take off their tails and grow a new one. Nezu told me that they sometimes lose their tail by accident and that I need to help them get a new one faster. I'm like a hero for them." She proudly told her mother with visible excitement.

Ah ... the dinosaurs are lizards. That makes sense.

"Yeah, sure. Then let's go to the rat first and get your dinosaurs." Tatsumaki told her. She let go of Eri to let her fly beside her. Eri liked to fly with her mother.

The rest of the day was spent training Eri's quirk with lizards as Tatsumaki watched with proud eyes over her daughter.

End of chapter 10.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter.

We never saw Tatsumaki uses healing abilities, but I'm sure she has them. If Fubuki can heal someone, then Tatsumaki can do it too and even better. I still believe that ESP can't regrow lost limbs or heal scars, but we saw how powerful Fubuki's healing was. So imagine how strong Tatsumaki's could be.

And I hope I didn't over due it with the training. Their progress was really fast, but they need to be stronger or they will be left in the dust by Tatsumaki. And let's be honest, it's anime. The harder the training, the better the results xD.

Izuku is already in the full vestige world. Because he can use OfA at 25 to 30%, he has better access to it. But only Hikage at the moment. I chose danger sense because the situation was forcing Izuku to focus on dodging, and that quirk was perfect for it. Also, I wanted Izuku to get a different quirk.

Well that's all folks. Please review. :)

Bye.
