Sorry for the very long wait. Guess this chap is a bit of a time skip and filler.

Chapter 14

Sora stepped out of the Corridor and looked around. He knew he needed a rest, his energy levels were low, it seemed even Nobodies could become exhausted if they went without rest for too long. He headed into the small town and soon had a room booked, lying on the bed.

It had been…months since they left Twilight Town and he had met up with Kairi and Riku once since then. They wanted more meetings but he would not put them in danger. So far, it seemed Xemnas had not realised he was still 'alive'. At the moment, he was tracking Demyx, hoping that after his run in with the two, he would be open to leaving the Organisation.

He kept in more regular contact with the other three, it was more comfortable speaking with Axel. They were doing well, sabotaging what plans they could while also exploring. They deserved the chance to live and be happy after everything.

Ienzo felt like things were settling, though it had taken time. It had been a relief when Aeleus and Even had appeared but Even still hadn't woken. The Restoration Committee was wary of their presence but allowed them to remain in the Castle, some even brought them supplies and Aerith had examined Even for them, saying he should recover with time. They had also informed them that Kairi and Riku were travelling with the King's men, working to foil Xemnas' plans. Would they succeed? But…there also seemed to be something they were keeping secret.

Sometimes, he wondered about Roxas. Had he fought him to defend Riku? Had he remembered something of his past finally? What would he do if they faced each other? Unless…had he been destroyed? Would they find him some day in the Castle since it had been where he died to free Kairi's Heart? He did not blame Roxas for destroying his Nobody, they had not been good beings, they had been using Roxas so if he had broken free then that was good.

Kairi smiled as she danced with Riku, Belle and the Beast dancing across the room. She was happy but it still didn't feel entirely right, not with Sora missing. They had defeated Xaldin this time though, so at least the World should be safe from now on.

If a Heartless was a person's Heart and the Nobody their Body, what happened to those parts when destroyed? There had to be some way to restore them, to make them a complete person again, there had to be. They hadn't told Sora but they were looking for it, so was Mickey.

She shook those thoughts off, tonight was meant to be happy, for fun. And she was determined to have a wonderful time with Riku. She leant in for a kiss and he laughed, spinning her. She felt very pretty in the dress Belle had lent her for the night, even if Riku was stuck with his fairy given clothes, he still looked very handsome, his hair tied back. He really did need to either cut it or let it get a little longer so it would stay firmly back when tied.

"Keep your guard up," Axel called in warning as Toshi lunged.

Naminé yelped, shifting back, but managed to bring her staff up in time to mostly block the blow. She was getting better every training session, not surprising if she was Kairi's Nobody since the girl was both a Princess of Heart and Keyblade wielder. She had chosen a staff as her weapon since it was more defensive than offensive, for the most part.

Travelling with the kids was very different to life in the Organisation but in some ways, it was the same. It felt better than it had since Roxas had left, as much as he could feel anything anyway. They travelled by ship and Corridor since all three of them could open them, no one would really expect Naminé to be able to but she was still a Nobody. There were no daily missions or anything, just the general guideline of helping Worlds and keeping the Heartless and Nobodies as contained as possible.

He missed doing missions Rox…Sora, but the two were growing on him. It was getting easier to fight beside them. Besides, Sora was meant to be meeting up with them soon, he better show up. If he got himself killed Axel would never forgive him.

Sora ducked the attack and spun, Keyblade spinning, taking out the last Heartless.

"Wow! How'd you do that? It was so cool!" A voice called, and he looked around but he couldn't see anyone. "Up here!"

Sora looked up, staring at the strange blue and red figure crawling on the wall. "How are you doing that?"

"I'm Spider-man," the figure answered, dropping off the wall, flipping around to land on their feet. The white eyes glance where the Heartless had been. "Do you know what those things are? Are they aliens?"

"They're Heartless. Have you seen more around?" his Keyblade vanished, Spider-man didn't seem to be a threat.

This World wasn't like the others he'd seen, such tall buildings and so many people. If not for the people and light, it would be similar to the World the Organisation had claimed but even that World wasn't quite as built up.

"Yeah, mostly around Central Park."

"Can you show me?" he asked, and then got the feeling he was being smiled at.

"This way," Spider-man launched himself into the air, swinging on…a web?

Sora blinked but then took off after him.

Peter watched in awe as the stranger seemed to dance between the strange creatures. Heartless, that was a weird name. Sora seemed like a good guy, maybe…very socially awkward? But he was a great fighter, even if his weapon looked off, then again, who was he to talk when he used spiderwebs? And then he aimed it at a tree and Peter's eyes widened behind his mask as a strange Keyhole appeared, a beam of light connecting the two, a click sounding from somewhere.

"With the Keyhole locked, there shouldn't be as many Heartless coming."

"So, are you an alien?" He asked curiously.

The other teen looked at him and then a strange dark portal appeared. "I'm Nobody." And then he was gone.

That had to be one of the strangest afternoons ever.

"Sora!" Naminé called as the Corridor shut, Sora pushing back his hood. She ran to him and he caught her in a hug.

"How are you?"

She smiled and spun her staff. "I'm getting better."

"She hits hard," Toshi rubbed his shoulder, looking a little awkward with Sora there, he still wasn't really sure about his acceptance which was sad.

"Hey Sora," Axel slung his arm around Sora's shoulders. "Seen any interesting Worlds?" he asked, and they moved to sit inside, ordering food, sharing stories of the Worlds they'd seen lately.

Riku dodged back, slashing through the Heartless, they seemed to be a never-ending swarm. Kairi was in the city, defending the Emperor and he was on the Mountain trying to keep them from reaching the city.

And then lightning struck several jumping between them. "Need a hand?" a familiar voice called and he grinned.

"Bet I can get more than you!" he called in challenge.

And then Sora was at his back, the two of them fighting in sync. It seemed to take forever, but finally they were done and he spun, pulling Sora into a hug that was easily returned.

"Missed you," he whispered, leaning in for a soft kiss.

"Sorry," Sora offered. "Are you hurt?"

"A few scratches, nothing bad." He held Sora's hand, heading back down the Mountain. "Kairi's in the city, you'll stay, right?"

"For a little while," Sora agreed.

They walked for hours down the Mountain and to the city, holding hands the whole time until they reached the city, parting once there since Riku wasn't sure what the local attitudes were. They made their way to the Palace where Kairi was in the throne room with the Emperor, Mulan, Shang, and…

"Mushu?" Sora asked and the small dragon spun.

"Who are you?"

"Sora!" Kairi yelled, running to them, and Sora caught her in a hug.

"Sora?" Mushu asked in surprise. "Wow, you've really grown."

"Thanks," Sora smiled at Mushu and it looked more natural now.

Riku stepped up to report on the events on the Mountain, promising they would be back again to check on things.

"Sora!" Goofy picked Sora up, spinning him around.

He was then smothered by Goofy and Donald who were very happy to see him.

They headed for the ship together, eating a meal and then the three of them headed for the bedroom, curling together in the bed to sleep. Riku was at Sora's back, his arm around his waist and Kairi was lying at Sora's chest with Sora's arms around her. It might be cold and snowy outside, but the ship was warm and safe so he soon fell asleep.
