It was a rather peaceful day in the dinosaur jungle.
Most creatures were either busy doing their normal routines and what not.
Two Baryonxes who seemed to be searching for something walked through the forest together as they let out a screech.
They received a screech in return that seemed to be a signal of some sort from some place far away as they
headed towards it.
Camp Fam
Up in a tree was Darius with binoculars watching the same two Baryonx make their way through the forest.
He then turned his attention to some Pterosaurs flying in the distance.
At the bottom of the tree the rest of the group minus Ali sat there bored.
Kenji kept throwing rocks at the tree Yasmina was sitting at the side of.
The rock kept making a smacking sound with the wood as Yasmina finally had enough.
This time he throws a rock not expecting Yasmina to turn around and catch the rock.
As she did this she gave him a look that said 'try me' as he dropped the next rock that he was about to throw with a look of guilt and fear.
"Hey, has anyone seen Ali?" Brooklynn asked noticing the absence of the all star.
"He said he had to check something out, I'm sure he's okay." Sammy reassured her.
Darius climbs down the tree to the floor with an exasperated sigh.
"Good news?" Sammy asked incredulously.
"The Pteranodons are nesting on the Eastern mountains so that's out." Darius announces.
"Ugh, bad news." Sammy said looking at all the X signs they made on the map so far.
"So we can't live on main street because dinosaurs, the mountains, grasslands, and jungle are out because of dinosaurs!" Brooklynn exclaims annoyed as they all groaned.
"And Kenji's penthouse is out because he's bad at math." Yasmina adds in.
"Hey, I didn't think my dad was serious about changing the lock if I failed algebra, that is not my fault." Kenji replied in his defense.
"That's actually completely your fault." Yasmina points out to him.
"Okay, whatever the whole island is full of dinosaurs, we're cooked." Kenji said giving up.
"We can't give up yet, we set off the emergency beacon, we just need to find somewhere safe to hole up before rescue arrives." Sammy says not wanting to give up.
"Where, it's been days, we're out of options." Yasmina says not feeling the energy.
"Actually there's one place we haven't tried yet, don't know how you guys will feel about it though." Ali points out announcing his presence to the group.
Everyone jumped slightly since he essentially came out of nowhere.
They all immediately calmed down as Ali chuckled slightly.
"Well, lead the way then." Darius says as Ali began walking off leading them to his plan.
Old Camp
The group make their way to their old camp being led by Ali.
Obviously after the Indominus attack the camp was left in nothing but ruins.
"So this is where you were? Are you serious? Didn't we specifically run away from here?" Kenji asked not seeing the point in being back here as they all looked at Ali questioningly.
"Just hear me out, there's a stream for fresh water, we have trees and mountains to protect us from the bad weather and the dinos." Ali lists off.
Brooklynn clears her throat reminding him that it was the Indominus that destroyed the camp in the first place.
"Okay, maybe not every dino attack, but if you were coming to rescue some campers wouldn't this be the first place to check?" Ali points out as they seemed to look sort of persuaded now.
Darius walks over to his side to aid him now.
"Ali has a point guys, plus we've even got supplies to build a shelter right here." Darius says gesturing to some debris.
"They're, uh, broken supplies but, we can do it! Right Brooklynn?" Darius said as Brooklynn looked puzzled.
"What?" Brooklynn asked arms crossed.
"You have to have atleast one video made about building a shelter, your channel has basically everything on it." Ali points out.
"Right, like all you do is videos." Kenji said insensitively.
"Excuse me, I do lots of things other than videos, I have a whole life of doing other things, but yes, I did help raise a barn for unboxing Amish culture." Brooklynn says crossing her arms again.
"Knew it." Ali and Yasmina said at the same time.
"Oh, I love that one!" Sammy exclaims.
"There you go." Kenji says proud of himself.
"Welp, what are we waiting for let's clear this stuff." Yasmina said enthusiastically as she limped over to the debris.
The whimper of pain she let out didn't make her seem too reliable for this type of work.
Yasmina then began trying to move some debris.
Darius and Ali look at her unsure if she was fit to be working that hard with the injury she had sustained.
"Hey Yas, maybe it's best if you sat this one out?" Darius suggested
"Yea, remember what I said, working while injured can cause the injury to become even worse that it already is." Ali said aiding Darius.
Yasmina turns to them. "What? I am perfectly fi-woahhh!" Yasmina exclaims as she begins falling only to be caught by a pair of strong arms.
Yasmina looks up to see Ali holding her with a smirk.
"Perfectly fine, huh?" Ali asked incredulously as Yasmina grabbed her leg.
"It's nothing, I'm fine now, I wanted to lay down for a sec, that's all." Yasmina said with pain evident in her voice as she rubbed her leg.
"This isn't nothing, your ankle is still hurt, all that running over the past few days didn't help the injury either." Ali said as Yasmina simply sits up with a defiant gaze.
Darius grabs the map and gasps at a discovery.
"Based on this symbol there's some sort of clinic nearby, we'll go and see if we can find anything for your ankle, just rest here we'll be back." Darius says but Yasmina was ready to protest.
"No way, I'm not sitting around while you go back out there, I can pull my own weight." Yasmina says as she tries to get up.
Sammy pushes her back slightly. "Rest, you're gonna need that ankle to win gold medals when we get off this island." Sammy said smiling.
"I'll stay behind to make sure Yasmina doesn't do anything reckless." Ali says as the others nod.
"And I'll stay behind to make sure these two don't mess anything up." Kenji said proudly as he gestured to Yasmina and Ali.
Everyone else stares at him deadpanned knowing he's likely to be the biggest trouble maker of them all.
"Um, are you sure Kenji has to stay? I'm sure Ali is enough help." Yasmina says holding onto Sammy's hand as Sammy was getting up.
"Okay this is great, we're an even group now, Kenji and Ali, while Yas rests you guys start sorting through the broken stuff and find something we can use." Darius says as Ali nods.
"A hundred percent...maybe." Kenji said unsure as Ali shook his head at him.
Brooklynn grabs three pieces of wooden planks to use as weapons.
She threw two of them to Darius and Sammy as they tested out their makeshift weapons.
"These will be useful." Darius said as they began walking to the clinic.
Jungle
After the weapon test they made their way to the clinic.
Team Darius, which consisted of Darius, Sammy, and Brooklynn were walking through the jungle on high alert because it was still a jungle filled with wild dinosaurs.
Darius notices a gash mark in a tree and drops his weapon. "Woahhh." He said touching the tree.
"Darius, take a look at this." Sammy said kneeling over something as Darius rushes over.
It was a wood colored plate that seemed organic.
"Woah, it's a Stegosaurus plate, they shed them as they grow!" Darius exclaimed excitedly.
"Ohh, like a deer shedding antlers? Round March you can't walk two feet without stepping over those back home." Sammy said getting a little homesick.
However she quickly gained her usual happy look again. "Me and my sister used to compete to see who could find the most." Sammy said smiling at Darius who returns it.
Sammy then gets up and walks over to the same tree Darius was at a moment ago as Darius gets up to follow her.
"Ya know, these look just like the marks the deer make, helps with the shedding, maybe dinosaurs do the same thing." Sammy said making a real world connection.
"This could be new behavior, that's so cool." Darius said excitedly.
"You know what would be even cooler, if there was dung nearby." Sammy said as Brooklynn walked by them with a look of anger on her face while holding the wooden plank, was she jealous of Sammy?
"We could see what the Stegosaurus ate for lunch, Brooklynn we're gonna see if there's dung!" Sammy says to Brooklynn who was walking a head of them.
Brooklynn sighs to herself and keeps walking.
"Just keep walking, just keep walking, you don't have to witness this if you just keep walking." Brooklynn says to herself as she keeps going forward.
Suddenly a loud noise is made putting Brooklynn on alert. She readies her weapon as she looks around.
"Uh, guys, do you hear that?" Brooklynn asked as Sammy and Darius looked over at her concerned.
The two ran over to Brooklynn with their weapons as Brooklynn looked worried.
"Did you say something?" Sammy asked because what Brooklynn said wasn't clear at first.
"I-It's nothing, must've been a weird bird or something." Brooklynn says as Sammy and Darius looked unsure.
They eventually dropped it and the group went back to walking.
Team Ali
Back with team Ali, who's leader wasn't present at the moment.
Ali went out to get some sort of food for them, he had cleared some debris already but hard work takes energy, and food is energy.
Before he left he ordered Kenji to sort through some more debris and make sure Yasmina didn't do anything to exert herself.
That was probably the biggest mistake, tasking Kenji with such a responsibility was not smart.
Since he was gone there was nobody to keep the other two at bay.
Kenji was lounging around, while Yasmina tried to clear some debris even though she was clearly told not to.
This was all going against Ali's orders.
She dwindles then falls to her knees from how heavy the wood plank was.
As Yasmina pants in exasperation, Kenji laughs at her expense.
He then began to stretch and crack his knuckles.
"Okay, time to pick through camp garbage for useful garbage." Kenji said kicking a small amount of debris around.
"Okay, complete." Kenji said after doing absolutely nothing.
Kenji then makes his way over to a tree and lays down on it. He then gets comfortable to take a nap.
Yasmina hops over to him on leg. "That's it? Dude you didn't even try." Yasmina said in absolute shock of how lazy one person could be.
"Shh, and join me at my resting tree." Kenji said in a relaxing tone.
"Your resting tree?" Yasmina asked still in shock.
"It's a tree, where you rest, the name kind of covers it." Kenji said incredulously.
"That's not-" Yasmina cuts off that sentence as she pinches the bridge of her nose.
"Ali said to sort through the rest of the debris, if you don't do it, and I can't do it, who will do it?" Yasmina asked gesturing at him.
"Everyone else, Yas the best things in life are things you make other people do for you, example, I've never cleaned my room I just wait for it to get messy enough that my dad's assistant caves and he makes one of the maids do it for me, win win." Kenji said with a smirk.
"And you're proud of this?" Yasmina asked not seeing what was to be proud about here.
"Obvi, otherwise I wouldn't have told you about it, now stop talking, and start relaxing." Kenji said slumping again.
"Bu-" Yasmina tries to retort but Kenji cuts her off with random babbling noises as he scoots over making space for her.
He then pats the ground next to him silently telling her to rest next to him.
"Resting tree." Kenji says as Yasmina relents and walks over to the tree.
Yasmina stands at the side of the tree with an annoyed look. She then slides down to a sitting posture as she sits against the tree.
Kenji looks at her with a smile as he made the babbling noises once again.
Yasmina mocks him as she rolls her
eyes.
"Man I really needed this, you know some quality Kenji time." Kenji said not realizing Yasmina actually had left seconds ago.
It was amazing how fast she could move for someone who had an injured ankle.
Kenji opens his eye after getting no response. He begins to panic and look around.
"Yas? Yas?" Kenji called out repeatedly, worried for his friend and worried for what Ali might do if he foun-
"Kenji? Where's Yasmina?" Asked the voice of Ali as Kenji turns to see Ali frowning at him with a leaf filled with berries in them.
Kenji looks at him guilty, how do you tell someone you let an injured person go off into a dinosaur infested jungle on their own.
"Well you see, I may or may not have let her out of my sight for thirty seconds and let her go in to a dinosaur infested jungle to possibly get killed." Kenji said all together as Ali looked at him with a shocked/angered expression.
Ali sighs heavily. "I knew I shouldn't have tasked you with this type of responsibility." Ali said as this kind of hurt Kenji's pride.
"Hey wa-" Kenji tried to defend himself but Ali puts a hand up stopping him.
"Save it, this was my fault for thinking I could trust you." Ali says walking off into the jungle to find Yasmina.
Kenji looks down at the ground as Ali's words rang through his head.
"Why do I have to be so useless!" Kenji yells at himself as he hits the tree.
He then looks over at the debris. Kenji gains a determined look as he got up.
"That's it, I deserve respect, and I'll show him I belong." Kenji said determined to prove to Ali he was trustworthy.
Team Darius
Team Darius was still pushing through the jungle.
The trio eventually get to a gated area in the jungle that had a health care sign on it.
They smiled as they found their target destination.
"Let's make this quick, anything that might help with Yasmina's ank-" Darius is cut off by Brooklynn.
"Food!" Brooklynn yelled raising a can of food.
"I never thought I'd be excited to see canned fruit, but check out all of this canned fruit." Sammy said excitedly as she picked some cans up.
"Finally something other than soggy pizza." Brooklynn said exasperatedly.
Darius picks up a book and begins flipping through it. He then puts the book in his pocket as he moves on to find more supplies they could use.
Darius opens a hatch and gains a look of surpise. "Look!" Darius exclaims as Sammy walks over.
"A compression bandage, this is exactly what Yas needs." Sammy said picking the bandage up. She then gains a weird look as she unwrapped the bandage.
"All twenty feet of it." Sammy adds in shocked at how long the bandage was.
Suddenly a loud roar is heard which puts them on alert.
They grab their wooden planks and began walking towards the roar in order to investigate it.
As they were walking to the sound they turn into a little area that had cages.
What was inside these cages wasn't much of a shock, there were dinosaurs in the cages.
The trio looked at eachother in concern but then they eventually walk forward to investigate further.
"What is this place?" Brooklynn asked never hearing about this in Jurassic World.
She gets no response as they all simply went up to the first cage they saw.
It held a Sinoceratops who was weakened since it had been days since everyone evacuated therefore the poor creature had nobody taking care of it and no way to get out of the cage in order to get food and or water.
"This must be a veterinary station for herbivores, I guess when everyone was evacuated they got left behind." Darius takes a guess at what happened.
"Like us, they're out of food and water too, you poor thing." Sammy touching the creature's leg as it groans.
More roars are heard from other cages which makes the campers turn their attention to the other suffering dinos.
"We have to do something." Sammy said determined.
"We saw that Cinoceratops herd in the grasslands, if we let her out." Darius starts.
"She could be with them, and eat all the grass she wants." Sammy said finishing his sentence.
'Oh great they're even finishing eachothers sentences now.' Brooklynn thought to herself with an annoyed expression.
"What happened to making this quick?" Brooklynn said pushing her jealous thoughts away.
"We're adapting Brooklynn! New mission:Free the dinos." Sammy says as Darius opens the Sinoceratops cage.
"Be free!" Sammy yells happily.
The Cinoceratops groans as it gets up weakly.
It eventually gained it's strength and walked over to the opening.
However it doesn't walk all the way out, it instead stops and grunts.
Darius looked confused, while Brooklynn wore a wary expression.
Sammy however was smiling. "That's fine, be free to hang around here." Sammy said with a chuckle.
"Next up, Stegosaurus!" Darius said as he and Sammy made their way to the next pen.
"Totally what we came here to do, haven't lost track of our goal at all." Brooklynn said sarcastically following them.
Darius and Sammy were opening the gates for all the different dinosaurs there.
As they released the final dino they hear a loud screech that didn't sound like a friendly herbivore of some sort.
This creature sounded like it was extremely aggressive and hungry so that wasn't a good combination.
"Uh guys?" Sammy said as they all creeped carefully over to the creature's pen.
The creature runs around screeching inside of the cage.
As Sammy gets close the dinosaur roars and lunges at the the door of the cage.
This scares them all as they flinched and back up.
Now that they have a good look at the creature they realize it was a green Baryonx with a yellow underside.
"This one seems meaner than the others." Brooklynn points out.
"That's a Baryonx, predator." Darius informs her.
"Predator? Uh what exactly are we planning on doing with it." Brooklynn asked them both.
"Well it's totally a no brainer." Sammy said with conviction.
"Totally." Darius continued.
"Obviously we should free/leave it." Said them both at the same time as Brooklynn gasped at the two who were agreeing on everything before coming to a disagreement.
Darius was thinking they should leave it while Sammy wanted to free it.
"Wait what?" They both said to eachother.
"Interesting." Brooklynn said finding this rather intriguing.
Team Ali
Team Ali had been split apart because while Ali was absent, Kenji allowed Yasmina to leave.
Ali now with a wooden plank of his own to use as a weapon trekked through the forest searching for the stubborn Yasmina.
"Yas! Yas! Stubborn girl, of all the hardheaded things to do." Ali mutters repeatedly as he kept moving forward.
He then hears some rustling as he readies his weapon to attack.
As he's about to attack whatever made the sound he stops himself as he notices the sound was coming from none other than Yasmina herself.
She was hopping on one leg trying to pull a vine off of a tree.
"There you are, what are you doing out here?" Ali asked her slightly annoyed his order was disregarded.
"Helping move the camp debris easier, we use the sticks as levers, toss the vines over our branch, and use them to hall the rest of the broken planks and stuff away." Yasmina announced as she handed him some supplies.
"Uh this looks like the exact opposite of what I told you guys to do, you're supposed to be resting right now you can't-" Ali tries to reason with her but she rounds on him and glares in his direction.
"Three time state track champion, four times placing at nationals, twice on the international world track competition, I've competed in rain, sleet, snow, and each time I've medaled, what does that say to you?" Yasmina says as she gets in his face.
"It says that you're very tough and brave, and a great runner, but you know what factor that's missing from everything you just said, you weren't competing with a broken ankle." Ali says standing his ground as Yasmina's eyes widened since he got her on a technicality.
Yasmina wasn't done however. "Still, I don't give up, unlike some people we know." Yasmina says as Ali knows exactly who she was talking about, Kenji.
"You have a lot of heart Yas, I respect that, but I'm not gonna sit back and watch my friend do this to herself." Ali said as he grabbed the branch she was using as a cane from her causing her to yelp as she fell back on her backside.
Yasmina glares daggers right through his soul as she looked up at his eyes.
"If you agree to go back to the camp, you'll get your stick back." Ali said with a stern look and a smirk at once.
"No way! I'll get this stuff myself!" Yasmina says as she got up and began limping in the other direction.
She then trips over a vine that was on the ground and lands with a hard thud and a wince of pain.
Yasmina then begins breathing uneasily as she grabs her ankle.
Ali's expression immediately became one of concern.
"Yas!" Ali exclaimed worried for his friend.
Yasmina sat there in pain as she breathed hard.
Suddenly she feels a sensation on her leg that makes her calm down almost immediately.
Yasmina looks over to see Ali massaging her ankle soothinly.
She blushes at this but doesn't stop him because of how good it felt.
"A little trick my pops taught me when I had a sprain or sore muscle." Ali said with a small smile.
Ali then stops to look at her. "It's worse, I think I hurt it worse." Yasmina said to him with a pained voice.
"What do we do now?" Yasmina asked Ali as he looked at her worried.
Ali sits in thought for a bit, what could they do now?
Team Darius
Back with team Darius, they were still arguing about what to do with the Baryonx.
"We can't free the predators!" Darius said walking away from the Baryonx cage.
"But why? I thought you cared about these animals?" Sammy asked in a confused tone.
"I do! But I also care about getting home, you know, uneaten!" Darius yells back.
"What do you think Brooklynn?" They both ask Brooklynn at the same time.
Brooklynn raised a hand to them to show she was distracted. "Do you hear that?" Brooklynn said listening for the sound.
"Way to help B." Darius said walking off as Brooklynn looked at him confused.
"But Darius!" Sammy exclaimed running after him.
"No guys I actually-" Brooklynn cuts herself off with a sigh and just follows them.
"If we free the herbivores we have to free the predators it's only fair!" Sammy said trying to reason with Darius.
"You wanna free something that's wants to have us for dinner?!" Darius asks/yells.
Sammy grabs his shoulder turning him around.
"We found them, which makes us responsible, so if we can't let them go we'll have to come back everyday to feed them." Sammy said as Darius looked at her like she was crazy.
"With what? Baryonx eat more than a hundred pounds of meat a day." Darius says flailing his arms.
"With this." Sammy said pulling out a can of peaches.
"Peaches? They're carnivores not omnivores." Darius said walking away again.
"Okay, fine then, where do we get that much meat." Sammy said putting the canned fruit away.
Darius deadpans at her and gestures to the Sinoceratops.
Sammy gasps and gets in front of the Sinoceratops protectively.
"No!" Sammy exclaimed looking at him as if he was a monster.
"Don't look at me like that, she's what they eat!" Darius retorts as the Sinoceratops growls lowly.
"We're not feeding Maria to them." Sammy said revealing she gave the Sinoceratops a name.
"Wait you name- ugh, doesn't matter, they aren't going to eat canned fruit or frozen pizza." Darius says sternly.
"If I can't feed them, then we're going back to plan A, release it into the wild." Sammy says as she made her way over to the Baryonx pen.
Darius runs in front of her stopping her.
"We're not releasing it, why would you even want too?" Darius asked confused as to why someone would willingly release a predator as dangerous as a Baryonx.
"Because they should get to go home, these guys didn't ask to be here, but they are, and now they're trapped, away from their family." Sammy said depressingly forcing Darius to realize how similar their situation was to the Baryonx.
Before the discussion goes on they hear footsteps running towards them they turn to see Brooklynn running hard.
"Run! Run!" Brooklynn exclaims running past them.
They hear more footsteps only these were more heavy.
Sammy and Darius turn to these footsteps and what they turn to see makes them flinch and gasp sharply.
Team Ali
Back with Ali and Yasmina who were now making their way to camp.
Ali was carrying Yasmina on his back piggyback style because she obviously couldn't put pressure on her ankle at all.
"You know you're carrying me pretty easy, I didn't realize you were this strong." Yasmina says squeezing his shoulders causing him to blush lightly.
"That's what everyone says until I actually use my upper body strength since I don't really have a buff build." Ali said with a slight chuckle.
Yasmina then wraps her arms around his neck slightly.
"Just so we're clear here this is another one of those things that sta-" Yasmina goes to say but is cut off as
Ali hitches his step on purpose to
make her yelp.
Ali chuckles at her annoyed face as she delivers a swat to the back of his head making him yelp in pain.
"Okay I may have deserved that one." Ali said laughing as Yasmina smiled at his goofiness.
"Hey Ali can I ask you something?" Yasmina said after a small period of silence plagued them.
"Go right ahead." Ali says to her.
Yasmina then picks up the pendant hanging around his neck by the chain connected to it.
"What does this pendant mean, 'Capalot' she sounds out, we're both from New York so I'm guessing you know cap means lie so I don't see why you'd have a chain that basically says "lies a lot." Yasmina stated questioningly.
"Well yea cap does mean lie in New York, but my cousin is from Chicago and he gave me this chain, he died due to some reasons I'm not comfortable sharing right now...but he was my best friend." Ali said as he smiled up at the sky where his cousin was.
He never shared this information with someone outside of his family, but he felt like he could trust Yasmina.
Yasmina was saddened by the news of Ali's late cousin.
"Rest in peace." Yasmina said solemnly, even though she was curious as to how his cousin died, but she wouldn't press him about it.
"Thanks Yas, anyways, my cousin said in Chicago cap means 'do the most'." Ali said as Yasmina gains another questionable look.
Ali thinks for a second before he breaks it down even more.
"Basically this chain represents the fact that I would do the most for my friends, even if they are in the wrong I would still do the most I can to help them out." Ali said as Yasmina finally understands the meaning to the chain.
"In that case, I guess I'm Mrs. Capalot cause I would do the most for my friends too." Yasmina says as Ali looked shocked at her declaration before he smiled at her.
"That's good." Ali said with a chuckle as he looks to Yasmina who now had a look of sadness on her face.
"Yas, what's wrong?" Ali asked to her as she looked at him.
"I'm the trackstar, the person that coaches my team, the one everybody relies on, but now, I'm not, and if I'm not strong anymore, what good am I?" Yasmina asked as Ali looked at her with a look of shock that she opened up that much to him.
Ali then gained a look of understanding because he's been there before.
"Yasmina, do you remember when I said I hurt my leg in my basketball season?" Ali questioned.
"Mhm." Yasmina responded.
"Yup, tore my achilles tendon." Ali informed her as she winced with an audible 'ooo.'
"I know, it hurt like hell, but I was still able to atleast get up and walk to the locker room, and even though we were the away team the home fans had enough decency to cheer." Ali said as she smiled at that.
"It's even more ironic, because the reason I got injured so bad was because I tried to play on a prior injury that wasn't as severe but still required rest." Ali said with a slight chuckle before continuing.
"Anyways, I felt the same way you do right now, I thought I wouldn't be of use to my team if I'm not on the court balling with them." Ali said as Yasmina listened carefully.
"However I quickly realized I didn't have to actually be playing to impact the game in favor of my team, I drew up plays to help us score, defend, pass, and do even more, I also brought energy and enthusiasm to the table and you know how many points we won by in the first game I was out?" Ali asked as Yasmina still listened intently.
"Forty-six we completely destroyed them and I didn't even have to play to help the team do that, so what I'm saying Yas, is just because you can't physically help us, does not mean you can't do anything to help at all." Ali said as Yasmina smiles at him getting the picture.
"Your plan to use the vines to move the debris more quickly and efficiently was a great plan and shows that you don't need to exert yourself to be helpful." Ali said as Yasmina kisses him on the cheek surprising him as he was a bit flustered.
"Not that I'm complaining, but what was that for?" Ali said with a chuckle.
"That was just for being you." Yasmina responds as she was happy after realizing she still served a purpose on the team.
"Alright now lets hurry up and get back to camp don't want Kenji messing up more than he already has." Ali said as he and Yasmina chuckled.
Camp
After making it back to the camp Ali had almost dropped Yasmina in shock at what he was seeing.
Yasmina also looked on in shock.
There in the middle of camp was Kenji...working?!
Kenji had moved some more debris into the pile Ali had started and his hard work was evident in the sweat, dirt, and fatigue all over his face.
Kenji was exerting himself a lot but he was ignoring the voice that was telling him to 'give up and just lay down', all just to prove he wasn't worthless.
Ali sets Yasmina down gently against the resting tree.
Ali then makes his way over to Kenji smiling proudly.
Kenji grunted from his hard work and was working up even more sweat.
Kenji then started breathing hard as he began falling foward, the fatigue was finally kicking in.
'N-No, I have to keep going.' Kenji thought to himself as he lost the feeling in his leg and was basically on the verge of collasping.
As Kenji fell foward he felt an arm catch him by the chest and raise him back to his feet.
Kenji looks up in shock to see Ali smiling proudly at him.
Kenji returns a weak smile before finally closing his eyes giving into exhaustion.
"You did good Kenji, you did good, now rest easy." Ali says as he puts Kenji next to Yasmina on the resting tree and goes to get the materials for Yasmina's debris moving plan.
Kenji still exhausted opens his eyes to see Yasmina next to him actually resting. "Wow that's the biggest shock I've seen all day." Kenji said in a tired tone.
"Really? I saw an even bigger one, you actually working hard." Yasmina said crossing her arms.
Kenji says nothing as he just opted to rest his eyes.
Yasmina smiles at him proud that he actually did something for once.
Team Darius
Team Darius were now running as they were being chased by a wild Baryonx.
This was a different Baryonx obviously considering it was outside, it was an all gray Baryonx.
As it charges them it tries to takes
a bite at them but they duck out of the way.
The Baryonx pays them no mind anymore however, it focuses it's eyes on it's fellow Baryonx that was stuck in the cage.
They roar and screech in distress at eachother while Sammy and Darius look on in fear.
"Guys, over here!" Brooklynn yelled in a hushed tone from the other side of the bin they were leaning on.
Darius and Sammy crawl over to this side to get out of sight.
Darius and Brooklynn poke their heads out to look at the Baryonx trying to free it's friend by slamming into the cage to no avail.
"It's trying to free the other Baryonx." Darius whispers to them.
The trio get up and creep over to the other side of the fence quietly.
They look back in fear but luckily the other Baryonxes didn't pay them mind.
Suddenly they hear a hiss and turn to see yet another Baryonx.
This one was brown in color with a yellow underbelly.
They whimpered in fear as it roarss and lunges at them, the trio dodge and run away with shrieks of terror
from the dangerous creature as it roars again.
The Baryonx then runs after them as they kept running as fast as they could go.
Sammy ducks behind a bin out of sight.
Brooklynn and Darius kept running.
"Quick up here!" Brooklynn says pointing to one of the cages as they used the boxes to climb up.
Darius makes it to the top but as Brooklynn is almost there the Baryonx slams into the boxes making her yelp and almost fall.
Luckily Darius catches her and lifts her up by her arm.
The Baryonx jumps to try and nip at them, on the final jump Brooklynn smashes her wooden plank against it's face causing it to stop jumping at them as it reels back.
The Baryonx sees a Stegosaurus in the cage and roars at it.
It doesn't pay the Stegosaurus any mind however as it then begins jumping at Darius and Brooklynn again.
The two back up in fear. Darius turns to two Stegosaurus as he gains an idea.
The Baryonx rams into the cage shaking it startling them.
"Sammy!" Darius yells over to Sammy who was hiding behind a bin. Sammy then looks at him.
"The Stegosaurus', open the cage!" Darius yells pointing at the Stegosaurus pen.
Sammy nods and then runs to the Stegosaurus' cage and opens their cage.
"Now get." Sammy whispers to them as they begin making their way over to the Baryonx with roars of their own.
Sammy then frees the other Stegosauruses to add on to their numbers.
"It's working, it's working!" Darius yells as the Baryonx stopped it's assault and goes on the defensive against the Stegosaurus.
The gray Baryonx that was trying to free the other realizes this and comes to the aid of his friend.
"Come on!" Brooklynn yells/whispers as her and Sammy run away.
Darius stops and looks back at the Baryonx. "We can't leave that Baryonx trapped, they're a family." Darius whispers to himself as he runs to the cage where the Baryonx was held.
"What are you doing!?" Brooklynn yelled concerned for him.
The Baryonx roars at him, Darius closes his eyes and opens the gate letting her out.
The Baryonx ran out of the cage leaving Darius alone shockingly, she only cared about protecting her family.
"Aww." Sammy said as the Baryonx family was reunited.
"Ahh!" She yelled right after realizing
these were still blood thirsty killers.
The trio run off screaming followed by the three Stegosaurus as the Baryonx come to a stop and roar at them.
"Nice reunion and all but I'd rather live!" Sammy exclaimed as they ran back to camp
Camp
Kenji had gained some energy back and was in the process of making a little contraption to help with the plans.
"Welcome to Camp Kenji!" He announced as Yasmina looked at him weirdly.
They then hear loud footsteps as they turn to see Team Darius running from a stampede of dinos.
"Up the trees, quick!" Brooklynn yells.
Kenji helps Yasmina climb up as she in return pulled him up.
Darius helps Sammy up as she then pulls him up aswell. Brooklynn had climbed up first out of them all.
The stampede runs right by them as they were thankfully left unharmed.
"No! No! No! This is exactly why you should never work on anything, ever." Kenji says grieving the loss of Camp Kenji as Yasmina puts a hand on his shoulder paying respect.
"Uhh why are you guys in that tree?" Ali asked as he walked up to them with materials in had vines and branches mostly.
"Why is it everytime something happens he's nowhere to be found? I'm starting to think he's the one pulling the strings here." Kenji says accusingly as they drop down from the tree.
Ali looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"I have no idea what you're talking about, I just went to get materials for a plan that Yas had." Ali said as they looked at the stuff in his hands.
Darius then gains a look of thoughtfulness.
"Hey, maybe our new shelter should be more like a tree house." Darius suggests.
"Sounds like a good plan to me." Ali said on board with it.
"Hmm, could be something like this." Yasmina said as she began sketching a tree house as Ali put the materials down and climbed up the tree to watch her draw with the others also watching.
"What do you guys think?" Yasmina says showing them all the drawing.
"It's great, oh but we definitely need a lookout tower." Darius suggests.
"And an awesome girls bunk, the boys can have whatever." Brooklynn said not caring.
"Oh and a place for storing food so the dinos don't get it." Sammy said pointing at the page.
"And, ofcourse a place to rest." Kenji said as everyone chuckled.
Everyone looked at Ali because he didn't make a suggestion yet.
"What?" He asked confused as to why he was being stared at.
"Don't you want to make a suggestion, Ali?" Yasmina asks him.
"Oh, I honestly just want...a place to call home on this island." Ali said as they all smiled at this.
"Home." Yasmina says to herself as she writes home down on the top of the page in capital bold letters.
Later
Later on in the afternoon everyone was hard at work.
Brooklynn and Kenji were moving wooden planks into place, Darius was walking around the camp making sure everything went right.
Sammy was sorting through debris with the help of Ali.
Yasmina was working hard as well as she was still sketching the plans and used a rock Ali rolled over to her as a way to support her ankle.
Ali who was sorting through the debris suddenly gasps as he had found something.
Sammy looked over at it and gasped too. Ali made his way over to Darius.
Darius was at a table setting out supplies from the bag they had onto it.
"Yo, Darius." Ali said as Darius turned to him.
"I found something that you've been missing." Ali said revealing Darius' raptor tooth to him.
Darius looks at him in surpise and takes the necklace from him. As Ali smiles at him Darius puts the necklace on.
Darius looks up at Ali and smiles back. The two then embrace eachother in a brotherly hug.
"Thank you." Darius said sincerely.
"Anytime, dino nerd." Ali remarked playfully.
"We need some more vines, the ones Ali brought are running out!" Yasmina yells out.
"On it!" Brooklynn retorts as she was carrying wood.
Brooklynn picks up another wood plank just to drop all the ones she was carrying as that mysterious sound she heard before came back again.
Brooklynn kept her plank firmly grasped in hand and was on high alert from that sound.
Brooklynn looks into the forest as she walks over to investigate the sound.
She eventually makes her way to a clearing.
Brooklynn notices some flowers that had radiant colors, it was actually quite beautiful.
She touches a petal, it cracks and falls apart.
"They're frozen?" Brooklynn asks to herself confused.
"What the heck is going on here?" Brooklynn asked herself once more.
