Chapter Three-hundred and twenty-two: Postgame, part two

The Jelly-Filled Donut flew overhead above Melemele Island of the Alola region, landing on the sandy shore of a beach near the residency of Professor Kukui, the resident Pokémon Professor of the Alola region. After the flying ship landed and its drawbridge shot out, some of the crew came out and stepped foot onto the beach. They stretched their arms into the air as they were able to let out how tiring the flight was.

"Man oh man, is it good to be back on solid ground," Kenny said as he stretched both arms into the air as Dawn, Trip, and Mina were the first to follow Kenny off of The Jelly-Filled Donut.

"We're only here to check up on Ash to see how he's doing ever since he returned to Alola following having helped us with the final battle against Team Scorn over in Johto," Dawn pointed out, "Also we got a call from Misty's sisters asking us to come to Kanto to see Misty. We might be able to swing bringing Sophocles with us, given he's Misty's boyfriend."

"Ash is friends with Misty," Trip pointed out, "Maybe we can bring him as well?"

"Given I was told by Misty's sister Daisy that Brock was also going to be there, I fail to see how bringing Ash along as well is a problem," Dawn replied, "Well anyway, come on. We got some friends to pay a visit to." The other reborn trainers all nodded in agreement as they followed Dawn off to go see how their friends in Alola were doing.

...

They eventually found Ash, Serena, and all of the Alolan friends having a party of some kind at the restaurant that Mallow's family owns. As it turned out, said restaurant was seeing even more popularity because Mallow's family claimed to have the Seal of Approval from Ideku Badorigo, who is known the world over as the hero who led the charge that resulted in Team Scorn being defeated wholly and for good.

Pointing at the poster put up in the dining area of the restaurant that made said claim, Dawn said to Mallow's brother and dad, "You guys do both realize that Ideku, if he doesn't know about this, can potentially sue your restaurant, don't you?"

"Relax, Dawn," said Mallow's brother, "Ideku does know and he did give us his consent to do that."

Dawn merely arched a wry eyebrow at Mallow's brother. "...So if I were to call Ideku up right now," began Dawn, "And tell him about it, he'll confirm the story."

"Indeed he will," replied Mallow's brother, instantly looking a tad nervous. Only Dawn caught how Mallow's brother had gotten nervous, and she could tell from it that Mallow's brother was actually lying. "Also, there's no need to bring Ideku in on this," Mallow's brother remarked, "No need for him to even know about it."

Yeah, Dawn was, in a rare case, one-hundred percent sure of something, with that something she was sure of being the fact that Mallow's family's restaurant was engaging in false advertising. She usually only gets up to being ninety-one point six percent sure of something, but the way Mallow's brother was acting, the shifts in his tone and expression, had given Dawn a full one-hundred percent certainty of something for once.

Dawn decided that she'll call Ideku about it anyway. Knowing him, Ideku will take legal action to only make the false advertising stop without doing anything to make things difficult for Mallow's family; he's not the kind of guy to sue others into financial ruin, even if given every legal reason to do so. Dawn turned away to look where Mallow was chatting it up with Lana, Lillie, Serena, and Mina, an all girls group aside from Dawn not being there.

"Yeah, I'm still pissed that Lana's mom turned out to be the girl that Lana's dad originally had feelings for," Trip said when he walked up to Dawn and saw her looking at the other girls, "Only he didn't recognize her because she lost a lot of weight between their first and second seeing each other, and that hooking up with Lana's dad after becoming thin made Lana's mom develop a number of fatphobic beliefs that could very well have killed Lana."

Dawn gave another look of consideration to Lana specifically. Originally she was rather slender, and dangerously enough so that she passed out from hunger at school at least once. But now, Lana was notably overweight. She wasn't as fat as Dawn when wearing a fat suit for a Kenny Harris Studios movie, nor was she as big as Serena at her peak. Proportionately, Lana was actually slightly more slender than Sophocles.

But it still couldn't be denied that Lana was clearly the biggest girl in the restaurant. "I guess things being cleared up helped Lana recover from the trouble she got from her mom before certain info was revealed," Trip said, "Although Lana should take care not to recover too much."

As Dawn nodded in agreement, she and the others were surprised when a courier came into the restaurant and went right up to Ash. "I've been looking for you, Ash Ketchum," the courier said after getting Ash's attention, "Got something I'm supposed to deliver, your hands only. Let's see here..." After rummaging through his satchel, the mailman said, "Ah, it's a letter from a retired merchant guild leader living here in Alola. It looks urgent."

After Ash received the letter from the courier, the courier said, "Look like that's it. Got to go." The courier then left Mallow's family's restaurant.

After the courier had left, Kiawe looked to Ash. "What would a retired merchant guild leader want with you, Ash?" asked Kiawe.

Ash opened the letter and scanned the contents. "...It's that Shinpachi guy who led the guild that Admin Mage was expelled from!" Ash said.

The others in Mallow's family's restaurant all perked up at that, the reborn trainers especially so; Shinpachi had founded and led a merchant guild early in his life, ran it for fifty years, and then had to retire, most likely due to age catching up to him. Shinpachi before his retirement had expelled Mage from the merchant guild when Mage had been accused of stealing from the guild by Shinpachi's adult son Masaharu.

But it turned out that Masaharu was the true guilty culprit, framing Mage who found out and got evidence to prove Masaharu's guilt so as to cover his (Masaharu's) tracks better. When Shinpachi retired, he left his son in charge of the merchant guild, not knowing the truth of Masaharu's greed. About six months after Shinpachi retired, the merchant guild ended up going bankrupt due to how poorly Masaharu ran it, also he was using the guild as his personal ATM.

The betrayal that Mage was dealt by Shinpachi had led the former merchant guild member to join Team Scorn, eventually becoming an Admin which is the rank of officer that gets to be put in charge of running general operations for an entire region. In Mage's case, he was put in charge of Alola. The heroes had no idea exactly what became of Mage and other notable members of Team Scorn's Scarf Sector, but they had a feeling that they were about to find out.

After Ash finished reading the letter, he folded it up and put it in his left front pocket. "Serena, Dawn, Kenny, Trip," Ash said, "You all mind coming with me?"

"Aye aye, Captain," Kenny replied, as even he was able to tell that Ash was being serious given who he was asking to come with him. The group of five left Mallow's family's restaurant and took off to go pay a certain retiree a visit.

The group eventually found the residency of Shinpachi, with Ash being the one to go knock on the front door. Dawn could tell that Ash wanted to take charge here, given that this all was going down in Alola, and he's the Champion of Alola. Dawn had to respect Ash, give him credit for being so serious here. After a few seconds, the front door to Shinpachi's residence opened, but who Ash and the others saw took them by surprise.

It was Aya, the Admin's Assistant who worked under Mage in the now defunct Team Scorn. She was dressed in a sleeveless dress shirt, white with light blue trim, a light blue skirt that barely brushed the top of her knees, and light brown leather sandals. Oddly enough, Mage's signature scarf was worn around Aya's neck, and in the same way Mage had been known to wear it. A look of resigned sadness was on Aya's face, which looked like Aya had cried recently.

"...Mai and Yomi are also inside with Shinpachi," Aya said, "You heroes ought to come in. There's a lot we need to explain."

Ash and the others, unsure of things since they were greeted by someone affiliated with Team Scorn, nonetheless made their way in, hoping a fight won't break out inside of Shinpachi's home.

...

The heroes stood around while Aya sat in an armchair opposite of the one Shinpachi sat in, with Mai and Yomi both sitting on a loveseat off to the side of the two armchairs. Similarly to Aya, Mai and Yomi were now both dressed like civilians; Mai wore a white and light blue sleeveless blouse with a light blue trim lighter than what Aya's top had, a matching long skirt that ended just above Mai's ankles, dark blue boots that reached up into and under the skirt, and a white and light blue sun hat. Mai also wore white dress gloves that reached her elbows.

As for Yomi, she wore an orange sleeveless dress that ended at her knees, light brown leather sandals, and a yellow hair band that kept some of her hair back. Similarly to Aya, both Mai and Yomi looked like they had cried recently. In his arm chair where he sat, Shinpachi had a look on his face that was a mix of various feelings; guilt, disappointment, resignation, trouble. The older man let out a long, troubled sigh that got everyone's attention.

"I see that Champion Ash got my letter asking for a private talk," Shinpachi said, "Well Ash, you did bring from friends along, but no harm can be said to have been done here, so all is well I suppose."

"Is there a reason why three former members of Team Scorn are here?" Serena asked Shinpachi while gesturing to Aya, Mai, and Yomi.

Shinpachi let out another troubled sigh. "Well first off, let me point out the fact that out of all Team Scorn members in Alola, only the girls here have escaped justice by going into hiding. But they are willing to surrender themselves willingly, provided that we help them with something first."

"They're the only Alolan Team Scorn members to evade capture, huh?" Kenny asked, his arms folded over his chest.

Aya gave a single nod in the affirmative. "A... A lot of the command structure of the Scarf Sector was killed in the attempt to bring them in. The biggest loss was Mage, he was killed giving the girls here and I a chance to escape which we did. He at least was able to give me both his scarf and his Pokémon before Mai, Yomi, and I fled."

"So Mage is among the big names of Team Scorn killed when Team Scorn was all rounded up, huh?" Trip replied.

Aya nodded in the affirmative. "Yuichi, Bulat, and Jun'ichi were also killed in the attempt by Alolan authorities to arrest everyone in the Scarf Sector. Sayaka, Satomi, and Konishi were successfully arrested, although Satomi was moved to a juvenile detention facility due to how young she is. The girls here and I are the only ones left from the Scarf Sector's command structure that's still both alive and free."

"But you girls are apparently willing to turn yourselves in if we help you with something first," Ash said.

Once more, Aya nodded in the affirmative. "Shinpachi's adult son, Masaharu. He's been tracked down to the Alola region, actually is stuck here and unable to leave the region. He's wanted for his connection to at least half a dozen murders, all of which were of people Masaharu was supposedly in debt to. Masaharu is the reason Mage became who he had ended up becoming." Looking to the heroes, Aya went on, "That's what the girls here and I want. Help in capturing Masaharu."

"Tetsuya," Shinpachi began, "That's Mage's real name in case anyone forgot, was dealt a bad hand because I had been tricked. I owe it to Tetsuya to help avenge what happened to him. And if that means I have to see my own son in jail... well, Masaharu had made his bed, I suppose. Now he has to lay down in it." Looking to the heroes, Shinpachi asked, "Would you all be willing to help Aya, Mai, and Yomi track down Masaharu?"

Folding her arms over her chest, Dawn replied, "Well first off, I think it's necessary to know if Aya and the others have any leads on where Masaharu could be."

The former Team Scorn girls lit up in hope, seeing Dawn's response as a sign that the heroes will help. "Well I got it that Masaharu is wearing a disguise while mingling with the top of Alolan society," Aya began, "He thinks that the higher up someone is in Alolan society, the more money they must have. That's been his greatest desire for so long, getting as much money as possible."

"So he's looking for rich people to fleece," Kenny surmised, "Fair enough. I think that means that Lillie's family may be prime targets then, they're super loaded."

Turning to look at Kenny, Serena said, "That... is a valid point. Also, Ash and I are rather popular here in Alola, I mean he's Alola's Champion and I'm Alola's first Contest Kahuna. I'm not too sure if we're making enough money to lure Masaharu to us, though."

"...But you two are big names in Alolan society," Trip went on, "I propose, then, that we get Lusamine in on a little plan that I got brewing."

That evening, Trip's plan ended up being revealed as having Lusamine host a party were all of the biggest names in Alolan society were invited. The fact that the plan and party were thrown together and carried out so quickly actually surprised Dawn to a degree. The plan was to have Aya, Mai, and Yomi, all very well disguised as servant staff as Masaharu would recognize them if he saw them, be at the party and act as servants bringing refreshments to the guests.

Kenny's movie makeup artistry skills, cultivated over the career of Kenny Harris Studios, failed to disappoint. The only reason that the reborn trainers plus Ash and Serena knew that it was Aya, Mai, and Yomi in those disguises was because they saw the former Team Scorn girls put said disguises on. Were it not for that fact, then Ash and Serena, and perhaps even the reborn trainers aside from Kenny, might have been fooled.

The girls all wore wigs that disguised their hair as jet black, collarbone length smooth and shiny bob cuts. They also wore fake glasses, and maid outfits with long sleeves and long skirts that reached just above the ankles. They also wore white stockings, black shiny shoes not unthinkable for real maids, and black and white maid head bands. Were it not for the girls being of varying heights, the three of them could have been mistaken for triplets.

"We know what Masaharu looks like," Aya said, glad that the long sleeves of her maid outfit covered up her scar on her arm, "We'll point him out to you guys when he walks in."

"Are we sure he'll even come?" Serena asked.

"Given how much the party was advertised," Trip said, "Combined with how all of the big names that accepted invites to the party had been advertised, there's no way a money grubbing ladder climber like Masaharu won't come."

Indeed, everyone looked around the party hosted at Lusamine's grand mansion home, seeing all of the top people in Alola hob nobbing with one another. Even Ash and Dawn, recognized as region Champions with Ash being the Champion of Alola, got a fair bit of attention. Aya and Mai stuck with Dawn and Ash respectively. Yomi ran recon on the party as a whole, and would report to Kenny, Trip, and Serena if she saw Masaharu.

During the party, as Dawn was talking to Wicke who confirmed that Faba was caught and is currently in jail, Aya got Dawn's attention. "Sinnoh Champion Dawn," Aya began, playing her role as a servant well, "That fellow over there seems quite important. Perhaps you ought to go speak with him?" Dawn saw that Aya was pointing out a man about half a head taller than Wicke, and he was dressed quite well.

He wore a brown bowler hat with red brim, light brown dress suit with black under dress shirt and red neck tie, dress pants matching the suit top, and shiny black dress shoes. He was fair skinned and had somewhat faded hair the same color as the now arrested Konishi. Aya was able to tell full well that the man was Masaharu, and as predicted, he couldn't resist getting to rub noses with rich and important people, no doubt because he hoped to fleece them.

Dawn understood the cue and made her way over to where Masaharu was speaking with Lusamine herself. As Dawn and Aya made their way over, Dawn saw Kenny, Trip, Ash, Serena, Mai, Yomi, and a few crew members from The Jelly-Filled Donut make their way over to subtly surround Masaharu to ensure he can't slip away. With Dawn taking point, she and Aya made their way over to where the man who ruined Tetsuya's life stood, trying to get cozy with Lusamine.

"Excuse me, Lusamine," Dawn began, getting the attention of both Lusamine and Masaharu, "But who is this gentleman you're talking to?"

"Oh, this is Ivan," Lusamine began, "He's a business broker who works here in Alola. He's trying to convince me to help finance the construction of a new business office on Melemele Island, and I have to admit he's got a lot to back up his claims on how it'd be a benefit to Alola as a whole."

Dawn saw from the corner of her eyes as Aya gave a slight but knowing nod that told her that such a ploy was common fare for Masaharu. Dawn was about to introduce herself to 'Ivan', but the man cut her off by reaching down for her right hand, grabbing it, and giving Dawn a rather strong handshake. "Dawn Berlitz, the Champion of Sinnoh," said Masaharu, his tone making it clear he saw Dawn as another business opportunity, "It is a great honor to meet you in person!"

Pulling her hand free, Dawn said in a tone showing that she was on her guard, "People usually wait until a handshake is offered before taking it, not reach in and seize it like you did just now. You didn't even ask me to shake hands with you."

"Oops, sorry for getting carried away there," Masaharu replied, "But it's just that you're so great and accomplished a trainer. I heard it that, had it not been for your asthma attack, you would have ended the most recent season of the World Coronation Series as the Monarch."

Dawn could tell Masaharu was trying to save face after he had screwed up and said screw up was pointed out to him. Dawn was about to speak up, but Aya stepped in. "It may also be considered rude to remind someone of a failure on their part that they had no way of helping or knowing about," Aya said firmly.

The shift in Masaharu's expression made it clear he didn't like being talked back to by someone who clearly looked like part of the help. But he was in the company of Dawn and Lusamine, he had to be careful with how he replied. "I... suppose you have a point, young lady," Masaharu said, hoping to steer the conversation into a direction that would benefit him directly.

But Aya, while Dawn's allies slowly closed in, kept pressing Masaharu. "You know, my late boyfriend would have enjoyed coming to a party like this," Aya said, "But he was killed saving not just my life but the lives of two of my best friends as well."

"Oh my, I am so sorry to hear that," Lusamine said, looking shocked.

Nodding once, Aya said, "Oh my, yes. Tetsuya would have enjoyed this party, he always liked having fun where and when he can."

A look of recognition appeared in Masaharu's eyes. "Your... your boyfriend's name was Tetsuya, huh?" Dawn could tell that Masaharu felt that now would be a good time to leave the party and do his best to make himself scarce, given he was slowly backing up so that he could leave.

But he ended up walking backwards into the waiting, open arms of Zarbon the named Machamp. Zarbon threw his arms around Masaharu to trap him in a bear hug, and as people noticed that 'Ivan' was being taken hostage, Kenny had Cell the named shiny Scizor tear off Masaharu's right sleeve, revealing an old tattoo of the Pixie Lore merchant guild symbol on the middle of his right bicep.

"The jig is up, Masaharu!" Dawn said as she and the others with her began to surround Masaharu who was trapped.

"Dawn, what is going on?" Lusamine asked.

Gesturing to the trapped Masaharu, Dawn explained, "This man here is actually Masaharu, whose wanted in connection to loads of homicides and various financial crimes. I suspect that his trying to get you to fund a project was actually a bid to skim some of your pocketbook for himself."

"I... I actually heard of that," Lusamine said, "Heard of Masaharu. He ran a merchant guild he inherited leadership of into the ground and then went on the run to avoid people he was in debt to, then said people he was in debt to were killed."

More and more people were shocked to hear it as news spread through the party that 'Ivan' was really a wanted criminal who used to belong to the now defunct merchant guild Pixie Lore. The man screamed and kicked as he struggled in vain to escape the well toned, muscular arms of Zarbon, who let out a hum of aroused, sensual pleasure at Masaharu struggling.

Getting Masaharu's attention, Kenny said, "Yeah, a word of advice. Don't struggle while Zarbon has you in a hold. He's... a very interesting Machamp." Within due time, law enforcement came in and, when Masaharu was identified to them, they became rather ecstatic to get to be the ones arresting a man with the criminal reputation of Masaharu. They hadn't had such a notable day since arresting various members of Team Scorn in the recent falling of that group.

This was going to make the news for sure.

The following morning at the Trainer School on Melemele Island, classrooms were abuzz with gossip about the arrest made at Lillie's family's mansion last night, and that said arrested person was a wanted person on the run. The person in question, a man named Masaharu, was thrown into jail and is awaiting trial.

Oddly enough, the jail he was thrown into was the same jail that Masaharu's son Konishi, along with a woman named Sayaka, were also thrown into. Both of them were leading members of the now defunct Team Scorn. Masaharu had to be sent to confinement when, while attempting to form an alliance of sorts with Konishi, he was attacked by Konishi, Sayaka, and a few other prisoners. Both Konishi and Sayaka attacked Masaharu out of revenge, the other prisoners who attacked him did so because Konishi and Sayaka started it, and the other prisoners wanted an excuse to fight.

Surprisingly enough, three persons from the now defunct Team Scorn, girls named Aya, Mai, and Yomi, all turned themselves in after Masaharu was arrested, officially booked, and thrown into jail. Aya's only request was that nothing be done to her scarf she wore when she and the other girls had turned themselves in. The scarf ended up being turned over to the custody of, surprisingly enough, Professor Kukui, who locked it in a trunk in the basement of his lab slash home for safe keeping.

Two days after word of the complete cleaning up of Alola's native Team Scorn sector made news stations all over the world, the reborn trainers and Ash plus his classmates were surprised when Iris the Unovan Champion came to Alola. "Where's that murderous jerk Admin Mage?!" Iris demanded, "I wanna gloat to him now that he's getting what he has coming for killing Clair's Druddigon!"

"Admin Mage," Dawn began in an even and unamused tone that was matched by her flat expression, "Or as he's really known as Tetsuya, is dead. He was killed buying time that was successful in letting Team Scorn affiliates Aya, Yomi, and Mai escape capture."

Iris's expression changed instantly to one of surprise. "...So he escaped justice is what you're saying," Iris replied.

"Given that he was taken down by authorities in the end, I don't think saying Tetsuya escaped justice is an accurate thing to say," Dawn replied.

"Iris, you need to settle down because there's a few things we need to explain," Ash said. After Iris agreed, Ash with help from Serena and the reborn trainers explained to Iris how Aya, Mai, and Yomi all willingly turned themselves in after they were helped in bringing to justice the man who had set Tetsuya on the path that eventually saw him become Admin Mage. The man in question is currently in jail, with no bail being offered, waiting for his sentencing.

The story covered all necessary points, and ended with Ash saying how Tetsuya's scarf, the only thing left of him, was being kept safe in Professor Kukui's home, in a trunk in his basement. "So when do you guys plan on destroying the scarf?" Iris asked.

"We are NOT destroying the scarf," Ash said firmly, his firm tone and expression catching Iris off guard, "It's the only thing that a girl has left from the guy she loved but said guy died trying to save her. It will be kept safe until such time it can be returned to the girl, if that's possible. If not, then a different plan will be worked out."

Iris, forgetting her previous intimidation from Ash, said, "Like destroying it."

*SLAM*

Iris flinched again when Ash slammed his hands on the surface of the table he sat at. "Team Scorn is defeated and brought to justice already, Iris!" Ash snapped, "There's no need to go as far as doing so petty an act out of what is clearly your own personal sense of justice! Holy geez, Iris! Why in the name of all that is sacred are you being such a little kid about this?!"

"Dudes!" Kenny exclaimed, "Ash just called Iris a little kid! After all the times she called him that, hearing him call her that is awesome!"

As everyone talked while hanging out in the dining area of Mallow's family's restaurant, they were surprised when Professor Kukui walked in. "I got some interesting news just now, yeah?" Kukui said, "Apparently, Aya, Mai, and Yomi have just been given their official sentences, and it turns out that helping to being Masuharu to justice was a good enough buff to let the girls all get off on probation, albeit it's a five year probation."

"They're getting off with just probation?!" Iris exclaimed, "Why in blazes did they get such a lenient sentence?!"

"Like I said, their aid in helping to bring Masuharu to justice really helped," Kukui said, "Anyway, their confiscated Pokémon were returned to them, and apparently I'm to serve as their probation officer. I'm not sure why the role of probation officer was given to me, though. Now we just need to figure out a way for them to earn a living."

Holding up a hand, Mallow said, "My family's restaurant needs to hire on three more servers due to increased activity because of how well we've adverti-"

*slam*

Mallow was cut off when the front door leading into the classroom was thrown open, and in walked Ideku Badorigo, accompanied by someone who by the way they were dressed was clearly a lawyer. "My client Mr. Ideku Badorigo has just learned that a restaurant called Ania's Kitchen is making the false claim that he gave it his Seal of Approval, following his actions that resulted in him being hailed as the hero who saved the world from Team Scorn," the person who is now undoubtedly a laywer said, "I would like to hear an explanation for this, given that I know that the daughter of the family that owns Ania's Kitchen is in this classroom."

"What do you think you're doing, Ideku?!" Iris snapped, "Why are you bullying Mallow and her family with a lawyer?!"

"Actually Iris," Dawn began, "Mallow and her family really did claim that Ideku gave their restaurant his Seal of Approval, which is a blatant case of false advertising."

Nodding once in agreement, the lawyer said, "That's right, along with the fact that they've used his name to bolster their business without his knowing or consent. However, my client is willing to not press charges if the establishment stops falsely claiming they have his Seal of Approval and make apologies for their false advertising of such."

Growling in frustration, Iris said, "Why can't you just-"

"You're the Champion of Unova, aren't you?" Ideku interrupted, cutting Iris off, "Don't you think that it would reflect poorly on you, not to mention Unova as a whole, if word were to get out that you told a foreign region's Champion to let a restaurant get away with falsely claiming to have said person's Seal of Approval?"

Folding his arms over his chest, Ash said, "There is the problem that, if it gets out that Mallow's family's restaurant had lied about Ideku personally approving of them, they may see some trouble for it, mostly with business becoming less booming." Looking to Mallow, Ash went on, "Did your family even think about the consequences?"

Mallow, looking abashed, remarked, "Well we just wanted the restaurant to succeed is all. We didn't think Ideku would mind it since he's a cool guy who's typically chill with most things."

Sighing in a resigned manner, Ideku said, "If you had asked me first, maybe let me try some of the cooking you guys make so I know how good it is, then I would have consented. But you and your family had not even bothered to ask."

...

Eventually, a deal was worked out where Mallow's family signed some legal form that basically said they were officially and formally apologizing to Ideku for their actions against him. Given that if word of their false advertising did get out it would be trouble for Mallow's family, Ideku said that he was okay with not making the finer details of the situation public. Ideku, though annoyed his name was used in false advertising, wouldn't go so far as to cost Mallow's family part of their livelihood.

Additionally, if Mallow and her family were going to continue to claim that Ideku gave them his Seal of Approval, then they should at least let him try the cooking that their restaurant offered. Ideku had to admit that it really was pretty good. "See?" Iris said, "No harm no foul! I fail to see why you were being such a little kid about what Mallow and her family were doing!"

"They were making false claims while using his name and or likeness," Dawn said, "That's actually illegal, Iris. Ideku had every legal right to go further than he did, so the fact that Mallow and her folks got off as lightly as they did really does show how lenient Ideku can be." Turning to look at Mallow, Dawn went on, "Although I do hope that you and your folks have learned a lesson, Mallow. Don't go making wild claims without at least having actual backing to make said claims."

Sitting back in his seat, Ideku said to Iris, "Well now, miss Champion of Unova, how are things over there since Team Scorn has been brought down for good?"

Sighing, Iris admitted, "Actually, I, umm... I'm no longer the Champion of Unova."

"You lost your title?!" Ash said.

Looking guilty about it, Iris said, "Yeah, I was beaten by some boy named Nate who has a girlfriend named Rosa. Nate's really tough, he has an Excadrill that single handedly defeated half of my team, including my own Excadrill." The others were surprised to hear that Iris lost the Unovan Champion title to a boy name Nate, although Dawn recognized Nate's name, and the name of Rosa, as the names of the player characters from the Black 2 and White 2 games from her previous life.

Leaning back in her seat, Iris said, "Surprisingly enough, Nate's closest partner Pokémon is his Simisear, which defeated my Emolga during the battle. I mean, why use a Pokémon as unpopular as flippin' Simisear?"

Ash gave an amused smirk. "I wanna meet this Nate guy. He sounds like he'd be an awesome trainer to have a battle with."

"That's just like you, Ash," Ideku said. Turning back to look at Iris, Ideku said, "Well anyway Iris, how are things in Unova now that Team Scorn has been taken down?"

Scowling in annoyance, Iris said, "Well first off, authorities failed to capture Admin Swordsman due to him committing suicide to avoid being taken in alive. That pissed off Bianca like you wouldn't believe as it means she'll never get real justice for her father's murder. The rest of the top names in the Longsword Sector were captured alive though, although that chubby girl who is the cousin of Swordsman got off on a probation deal thanks to Elisa who wants her as a plus sized model for her fashion brand."

The heroes remember Admin Swordsman, the guy who valued freedom, and people having it, above all else. It didn't surprise a lot of them that Swordsman would rather kill himself then let authorities take him; he'd rather die free than live in imprisonment. All other top names in Unova's native sector of Team Scorn were caught alive though, although Swordsman's chubby cousin got off on a deal due to Elisa scooping her up to be a plus sized model for her fashion brand.

Dawn arched a wry eyebrow at Iris. "I'm surprised you aren't complaining about Swordsman's cousin getting off on probation, and going on to be a model for a fashion brand."

"I'm not going to complain about how a girl who deserves better is getting that better deal," Iris replied, "Besides, Elisa told me to knock it off with the complaining because she thought I was being fatphobic towards Swordsman's cousin, although Elisa did settle down after I had explained to her that I was upset because the girl was a member of Team Scorn, her being plus sized had nothing to do with it."

Shrugging, Trip said, "At least you aren't fatphobic for real, unlike how Lana's mom used to be before some misconceptions were cleared up. I'm still pissed off that Lana's mom was like that because she used to be bigger herself, but lost weight in secret to attract Lana's dad which ended up proving to be unnecessary ultimately as he liked her pre-weight loss anyway, but Lana's mom's experience made her think all girls had to be thin to get boys to like them, and that had ended up driving Lana to some rather bad places."

"That's..." Ideku said, "...an interesting story."

"We have time to go over the details," Lana spoke up.

The following morning, Dawn with Leona and Omiyo helping her was getting things set up on The Jelly-Filled Donut. The three girls stood on the sandy shore of the beach near Professor Kukui's home when they were approached by a group consisting of Ash, Sophocles, and Serena. "We're ready to go when you are," Ash said to Dawn's group.

Looking at Ash's group, Dawn said, "I wasn't aware that Serena was coming as well."

"I wanted to get some info on the Contest scene in Kanto," Serena explained, "And also I want to have a more pleasant Kanto trip. The last one involved fighting Team Scorn."

"Well this trip, according to Dawn," Leona began, "Is because the sisters of a girl named Misty wants Ash and Brock to come see her. I got it Sophocles is Misty's boyfriend so it makes sense why he'd come along."

Dawn was getting vibes from Serena that she was a bit on the jealous side that Ash was going off to visit another girl, even if said girl was just a friend of Ash's and said girl already was dating a boy who is not Ash. Shrugging, Dawn remarked, "We'll have to adjust slightly for the one extra person, but it shouldn't be too big of a deal. Just beware of any silly antics that may go on aboard The Jelly-Filled Donut."

"That reminds me," Ash said, "Kenny told me he's excited to introduce Brock to the flying ship and tell him what its name is."

Nodding once, Serena said, "I'm willing to bet that ninety-one point six percent of the silly antics that you Dawn are warning me about will come from Kenny."

"Oh come on, Serena," Omiyo said, "I'm sure that-"

*bang*

"What are you and Trip doing, Kenny?!" Lance the ship cook could be heard crying out, that plus the bang cutting Omiyo off.

"The boys are making a pie to give to Misty and her sisters when we get to Kanto," Mina could be heard calling out, "There's no need to-"

*roar*

"Myde, use Ice Beam on that monstrosity oozing from the oven!" Trip was heard crying out.

The sound of an Ice Beam attack could be heard going off, but another roar called out. "No, back in the oven, you!" Kenny was heard crying out, "You're a pie now!"

Dawn's group turned to look at Ash's group, the combined six people standing there all wearing dry looks that lacked surprise in them on their faces. "...I'd ask what in blazes Kenny had done this time, but at this point I've learned to not bother trying to figure out the jumbled mess of holiday lights that is Kenny's mind," Dawn said dryly.

END, CHAPTER THREE-HUNDRED AND TWENTY-TWO

Author's notes;

This chapter ties up a loose end in the history of Admin Mage, otherwise known as Tetsuya, where the man who got him expelled from the merchant guild he used to belong to is brought to justice. Aya, Yomi, and Mai get off on probation for their Team Scorn work thanks to the help they gave in bringing Masuharu to justice. Iris comes my Alola to gloat to Tetsuya, only to be bummed to learn that he was killed.

Admin Swordsman is revealed to have died as well, killing himself to die free rather than live in imprisonment. Iris also lost the Unovan Champion title to the male protagonist of the Black 2 and White 2 games. Swordsman's chubby cousin also gets off on probation because Elisa who wanted her as a plus sized model for her fashion brand pulled strings. And now The Jelly-Filled Donut is set to go to Kanto.

Chances are that the next chapter will be the last one in this story as everything has wound down. But I will try to end things on as nice of a note as possible. Until then, take care.
