Morning time on the island was usually peaceful, every creature would more than likely be sleeping.
All the campers are doing different things around their new living area, the camp treehouse.
Darius, was writing in a book he had used for documenting behavior in dinosaurs.
He had been writing about a family of Compies that was sleeping in a dog pile position in front of him.
As he finishes writing about them he just smiles at them in admiration.
They were sleeping so peacefully until none other than Kenji came stomping through causing them to wake up and scatter.
"Shoo! Shoo! You retro iguanas!" Kenji yelled chasing them away.
Kenji picks up a blue towel that the Compies were sleeping on and walks away with it.
He was oblivious to the annoyed glare Darius was sending his way.
As Kenji climbed up the ladder to their new tree house base, Darius follows along begrudgingly.
The tree house wasn't as fancy or elite as Kenji's penthouse probably was but it was definitely a good piece of art being that it was made by a group of teenagers with limited resources.
More than that, it was a place they could actually call home on this wretched island.
As they made it to the top Darius sits on a couch and opens his book.
Ali was also on the couch as he was using his free time to get some much needed rest.
Kenji now in his boxers opens up a door that led to a make shift shower they had created.
Kenji turns the shower on but the shock of cold water hitting his skin caused him to yelp.
"Does this water ever get warm!" Kenji shouted.
The shower was right next to the couch so Kenji's loudness got to Ali easily as Ali scrunched his face up and sighed.
Ali then opens his eyes and sits up facing Darius.
"You can never have a relaxing moment for more than twenty minutes when you're around this guy." Ali said to Darius who nods in agreement.
The others campers were all doing random things.
Yasmina now with a makeshift leg brace was walking down the stairs wincing slightly each step.
"Five more minutes." Brooklynn groaned out as she tossed in her bed.
"Come on, just open!" Sammy yelled as she repeatedly hit a can of food with an...ice cream scoop.
Sammy eventually gave up on the can and throws it.
It rolls over the table Darius was sitting at and rolls over to Yasmina gently bumping her.
"Oops, sorry Yas!" Sammy exclaimed.
"It's cool!" Yasmina yells back.
"And another one." Yasmina says to herself as she marked another mark on a tally chart she made.
Yasmina then walks over to the couch that Ali and Darius were sitting at, she wanted Ali to peel the mangos for her.
She put her hands behind her head to relax.
Ali decided to try and go back to sleep as he laid his head on Yasmina's lap and closed his eyes, this action causes the trackstar to blush slightly.
However, she eventually relaxed fully again soon after.
Their relaxation was stopped as Kenji once again reared his head.
Kenji throws a empty water barrel at
the table gaining everyone's attention.
"No mas agua! Little help!" Kenji exclaimed waving his hand to them.
"If we don't say anything do you think he'll believe help came for us already and we forgot him?" Ali asked receiving shrugs.
"Anything is worth a shot." Yasmina said plainly.
"I got ya Kenj." Darius says as he got up to get the water barrel refilled.
"If you keep doing that for him, he'll never learn to do it for himself." Yasmina points out to Darius.
Darius simply shrugs. "It's okay, don't sweat it." Darius said chuckling.
Darius then uses the slide they created as a means to make travel easier all the way to the ground.
He then gets up and walks over to their water supply which was the stream next to the camp.
However what he saw shocked him which caused him to gasp quietly and drop the water barrel.
"Uh, guys!" Darius yells as everyone except Kenji came down immediately because of the urgency in his tone.
They came to an abrupt stop as they all gained the same shocked expression Darius had before.
The stream they used to get water had dried up for some unknown reason.
"Where'd all the water go?" Sammy asked confused.
"Why don't we ask Mr. Forty-five minute shower?" Yasmina asked sarcastically as Kenji walked up to them conveniently.
"Hey looking good is part of my brand." Kenji defends himself.
"Then your 'brand' isn't doing too well cause I don't see the 'looking good' part at all." Ali replies as Kenji glared at him.
Brooklynn walks down into the dried up stream ignoring their banter.
She kneels and touches a little bit of water that was left.
Brooklynn is then alerted as she heard that weird noise from before again.
She narrows her eyes as she walks to the other side of the stream.
"Guys we gotta figure out what's wrong or we're gonna run out of drinking water." Darius points out to them.
"Darius is ri-" Ali goes to say but is cutoff as Brooklynn loudly shushes them.
They all turned to her confused as to why she just shushed them.
"I hear that hum again." Brooklynn says after a little bit of silence.
The entire group groans at her, here they go again.
"Not this again." Ali said in an annoyed voice.
"The river must've been drowning it out before, if I can find that sound I bet I could find tho-" Brooklynn is cutoff by the entire group.
"Frozen patch of flowers." They all said simultaneously with tired looks.
"Oh, I've mentioned it huh?" Brooklynn asked sheepishly.
"What? Nah you've only said this about four hundred times I think we'll be good after a couple more hundred times Brook." Ali replied sarcastically.
Brooklynn turns her back to them flailing her arms slightly.
"Uh, I'm sorry for wanting to get to the bottom of all this weirdness on the island, I came here to un-" Brooklynn is once again cutoff by the entire group.
"Unbox Jurassic World, and that's what I'm gonna do!" They all yelled once more in unison as she looks at them shocked and then neutral.
"If you're gonna go look for the noise can I come too?" Sammy asked excited as she ran over to the other side next to Brooklynn.
"If that's okay, it would be nice to have an adventure for a fun reason, and not a running from dinosaurs or imminent death reason." Sammy said as Brooklynn shrugged.
"I'll go if Sammy is!" Yasmina yells walking over to them.
"And uh Brooklynn, Brooklynn too." Yasmina said lamely as the boys on the other side deadpanned at her.
"Looks likes it's a Camp Cretaceous girl adventure!" Sammy yelled out excitedly.
"Great, and while you do that, Kenji, Ali, and I will go figure out why the river stopped." Darius says as Ali nods and Kenji looked confused since he wasn't listening.
"Sorry Kenji do what now?" Kenji asked in confusion.
"You wanna keep up your shower habit don't ya? And you know also survive, lets go unbox the mystery of the missing water." Darius said trying to sound cool.
Kenji sighs. "I'm in, makes sense since I know this entire island like-" Now it's Kenji's turn to be cut off by the rest of the group.
"The back of my VIP hand!" Everyone else yells straight faced.
"We have been spending way too much time together." Kenji said as he felt they knew eachother too well now.
"You have no idea." Ali said as the two groups split up and go about their business.
Boys
The trio of Darius, Kenji, and Ali walked through the jungle on their way to see what was causing the water to stop flowing into the stream.
Darius again has his book out writing notes about the environmental observations he noticed.
Darius was holding a branch in his hand for whatever reason.
Kenji armed himself with a plastic knife for 'protection' against the dinosaurs.
Ali walked with his arms behind his head as they trekked through the jungle.
Suddenly Kenji yelps as Darius accidentally bumps him with the branch.
Kenji turns to him. "Dude, this is the tenth tree on a tree you've written about, how can you be so obsessed with trees growing out of other trees?" Kenji asked as they all came to a stop.
"These ferns are an important part of a Triceratops' food chain, oh you're gonna love this, they contain neo-" Darius tries to say but Kenji cuts him off.
"Wasn't actually looking for an answer." Kenji said taking a drink of water from a little bottle they had been sharing.
Kenji then walks off from the other two boys.
Darius looks shocked and then deadpans.
Ali noticed his friend in distress and decides to help.
"Watch this." Ali said patting Darius' back as they walked to where Kenji was.
Ali walks up to Kenji who was taking some more water from a little puddle in the dried up stream that had stretched through the jungle apparently.
"Hey Kenji, I know you like to front about how cool this place is, but do you ever sit down and think how insane it is that we're living next to actual dinosaurs? This is only a dream to most people, the dinos are basically living relics." Ali said pointing to a herd of Parasaurolophuses as Kenji raised an eyebrow at him.
As he said this the Parasaurolophus roars at them not wanting to be disturbed.
"When they aren't occupied that is." Ali adds in awkwardly, earning him a deadpanned look from the alpha male.
Darius who was standing next to Ali gasps as he runs over to the other side of the stream fully.
Darius stops at a steamy dirt mound and kneels over it.
"Dinosaurs can sometimes compete over geothermal vents to use as incubation chambers for their eggs, see coool." Darius drags out the word 'cool' as he looked back at the other two.
Ali and Kenji walk over to where he was kneeling.
"Dirt and steam may be never ending sources of wonder for you but my standards are a little higher." Kenji says as Darius sighs.
"This is the same guy that thinks those tacky sunglasses he wore the first day here were 'suave'?" Ali asked as he made air quotes as Darius snickers.
Kenji turns to him. "Hey! Those sunglasses were the epitome of stylish." Kenji said elegantly as Ali deadpans at him.
Kenji then turns and begins walking again.
"How can I get him to stop being so nonchalant about this place?" Darius looks to Ali for his input.
Ali puts his hand on his chain. "Hm, maybe you should try and show him in a more childish, Kenji like way?" Ali suggests as Darius thinks it over for a second.
Darius then gets an idea and runs after Kenji.
Ali follows shortly after with a confused look.
After running for a bit Darius gets in front of Kenji stopping him as Ali stops at Kenji's side.
"Broseph, only VIP dinos with mad connects can get primo egg cribs." Darius said trying to sound cool but ultimately he sounded more lame if anything.
Ali simply facepalmed, if Kenji didn't care before, he definitely didn't now.
Kenji deadpans and then continues walking by Darius.
"Didn't we talk about you and the bro talk?" Kenji says as Darius sighs.
Ali walks passed Darius as well as Darius runs to catch up with them.
"You know I feel bad for you, you can't see what makes this place so amazing." Darius says as they once again stopped.
"I don't know about that 'amazing' part Darius literally on our fourth day here everything fell apart completely." Ali points out as Darius looked away as he remembered the tragedy that stranded them in the first place.
"Besides, I have seen all of this place, like a gazillion times, and those ferns you're so psyched about are just there to hide speakers." Kenji says pushing a fern back to reveal a speaker.
"Sorry bro, but I am way over Isla Nublar." Kenji finishes once again walking off.
Darius' eyes widen in shock and he almost looks heartbroken.
Ali touches Darius' shoulder to catch his attention.
"Don't worry Darius he's probably just stressed out like I said, a lot of things have happened since we got here." Ali says reassuringly as Darius smiles at him.
They then inspected the speaker that was behind the fern.
"Woah, Darius! Ali! You guys have to see this!" Kenji yelled as they ran to where he was.
"Darius you were right, it's, it's...a dead end." Kenji says pointing to a rock formation that blocked their path completely.
Kenji lets out a fake gasp. "This place is the coolest." Kenji says sarcastically pulling Ali and Darius into half hugs.
Ali annoyed at his sarcasm pushes his arm off of his neck.
"It's a waterfall, or should be." Darius says walking to the rock formation before turning to them.
"You know what this means, who's up for rock climbing? That's cool right?" Darius said raising his hand for a highfive.
"Don't leave me hanging." Darius adds in as Kenji simply walks by without highfiving him.
Darius looks down trodden at this until he feels another hand tap his lightly.
Darius looks up to see the taller Ali highfiving him.
"I got ya buddy." Ali said with a smile as he walked to the rock formation.
Darius smiles at Ali as he follows after the other two.
Girls
The female trio was trekking through another part of the jungle since they were on their own little venture.
Brooklynn with a stick in hand for protection walked ahead of the other two.
Sammy and Yasmina were kinda behind because they were busy talking and giggling.
"Favorite place?" Yasmina asked to Sammy as they were playing some form of twenty questions I guess.
"Highschool." Sammy responds to the question.
"Your favorite place in the world is highschool?" Yasmina asked confused since most people including herself hated highschool.
"Yea, there's lockers, dances, passing notes in class, getting detention for passing notes in class." Sammy said the last part slyly.
"No, school is where you do a bunch of boring stuff before coming back the next day and doing it all over again." Yasmina says exasperatedly as Sammy looks at her weirdly.
"I may like square pizza day in the cafeteria." Yasmina admits lowly.
"Oh please! Your favorite is orange, orange, and orange!" Sammy exclaims bringing up Yasmina's joke from before as they both burst into giggles.
Suddenly Brooklynn appears next to them trying join in by giggling as she felt left out.
"Uh, oh wow yea, pizza is orange, so funny, right?" Brooklynn said awkwardly.
"Uh no, it was kinda something Yas said, before." Sammy said as they looked at Brooklynn weirdly.
"Oh, yea cool, cool, cool, cool." Brooklynn said putting her head down and walking up ahead again.
Sammy looks at her then looks at Yasmina.
Yasmina looks back at her, Sammy gestures to Brooklynn with her head.
Yasmina relents and then looks at Brooklynn.
"Hey, what's your favorite thing about school Brooklynn?" Yasmina asked in a totally authentic tone.
Brooklynn looked surprised at this and turns to them.
"Oh wow, wow, uh gotta pick just one? I mean I really love...the um, the big food fights? Big food fights." Brooklynn said awkwardly.
Yasmina shakes her head. "Uhuh, you've never been in a highschool in your life, have you?" Yasmina asked rhetorically as Brooklynn looked at them with an expression of shock and guilt.
"No, a hundred percent online tutors, oh but one time I dropped my camera in front of my neighbor and he picked it up and gave it back to me, seems like a school romance scene right?" Brooklynn asked with an awkward smile.
Sammy and Yasmina shake their heads as Brooklynn looks down once more. "Uh, have you guys had any crushes?" Brooklynn asked as they both blushed slightly.
Images of a certain knucklehead in a blue shirt and khakis flooded Sammy's mind.
Yasmina remembers kissing Ali on the cheek, twice, and him carrying her on his back as she blushes even more.
"Uh guys?" Brooklynn asked after a few seconds of silence.
"Okay fine, I like Kenji." Sammy admitted bravely.
"Kenji?!" Yasmina and Brooklynn yelled at the same time.
"Well, there you go, how about you tell us yours huh Brooklynn?" Sammy said still blushing slightly.
Brooklynn sighs. "Darius." She says mumbling.
"What was that?" Sammy asked not cupping her ear.
"Darius!" Brooklynn yells as Sammy and Yasmina laugh at her now tomato hued face.
"So Yasmina?" Brooklynn asked taking the attention off of her.
"Well, I like Ali." Yasmina surpisingly admitted, they thought she wouldn't be open about it at all.
"Well, that was pretty obvious." Sammy said with a chuckle, as Brooklynn joined in.
"It was not!" Yasmina protested as they all fell silent from the revelations.
Now the three stood there for a little bit all three blushing hard.
"We should keep going." Brooklynn says nervously trying to get off the topic as she turns and takes a step.
She hears a crunch and stops to look at what she stepped on.
It was a frozen flower like the others she found.
"I think this is the place." Brooklynn said determined.
Brooklynn then gains a shocked look along with the other two as they hear the humming sound she's been hearing finally.
"I actually hear it." Yasmina said now on alert.
"I told you guys." Brooklynn said gesturing at them.
Yasmina and Sammy look at eachother in shock as the female trio investigate the patch of flowers.
Brooklynn puts her hand over them as she feels a breeze hit her hands.
"It's super cold air, and the ground is...vibrating?" Brooklynn questioned as she cleared some of the flowers away from the area.
What is revealed causes the girls to gasp simultaneously.
It was a vent that was letting out the sound and the cold air.
"What?" Sammy asked in total confusion.
Boys
Back with the boys who had just climbed up the rock formation.
Kenji and Darius gasped for air and felt completely exhausted.
Ali stands up and looks at them with deadpans.
"Seriously you guys should try some conditioning, your stamina is terrible." Ali says as they look at him like he wasn't human.
"Well I'm sorry for not having four lungs like you Mr. Alien, but that was exhausting for us normal people!" Kenji yells as he and Darius stood up.
Darius then looks over at beginning of the waterfall to see some rocks and trees blocking up the water.
"Well that explains our water problem." Darius says as the other two looked where he was looking.
"Okay, so all we have to do is move that tree and we should be good to go, it's gonna be lit!" Darius said as Ali shakes his head at his awkwardness.
"You're seriously trying to convince me this'll be cool?" Kenji said as Darius just stares at him.
"Let's just get this over with." Kenji says patting Darius' fro and getting up to walk to the water blockage.
Darius and Ali follow after him.
The three stood and looked at the biggest tree there.
They then began trying to move the tree with their bare hands.
All that is heard is grunts of struggle as they tried their hardest to move this giant tree.
Kenji falls over the side he was pushing on and sits up breathing heavily.
Ali and Darius also stopped as they too breathe exasperatedly.
"Aww man thought that would be easier." Darius said bummed out.
"I don't know what we exp-" Ali was about to say but is cutoff by a loud roar.
Both him and Darius dive behind the side Kenji was on to hide as that roar didn't sound friendly at all.
They poked their heads out to see two Stegosauruses who were going at it.
"They're fighting for dominance, Stegos are super territorial." Darius whispers informing his friends who watched the intense battle unfold.
As he said this they are forced to duck as one of the Stegosaurus' tail swipes a rock that flies at them.
Luckily they got out the way before anyone of them lost a head.
Darius then turns to the side of the tree and gains an idea as the Stegosauruses were still going at it.
"I know how to fix our water problem." Darius whispers as he runs out of hiding.
"What?" Kenji asked in confusion.
"Darius, what are you doing get back
here!" Ali yelled/whispered.
Darius ignores them and then proceeds to yell at the Stegosauruses to get thier attention.
"Hey! Over here!" Darius yells waving at the fighting beasts.
Ali sighs and then runs out of
hiding to see what Darius was doing.
Kenji watches him run toward Darius as he sighs and runs after them.
"What are you do- Why do I have to be the mature one today?" Kenji asked himself .
"Darius what are you doing?" Ali asked Darius as he came up to his side.
Before he gets a response Kenji comes and grabs them both trying to pull them back into hiding.
Darius rips out of his grip causing him to let go of Ali in the process aswell.
Darius then begins to imitate the Stegosaurus roar.
That doesn't work, Ali still did not know what the plan was, but he had faith in Darius so he decided to help.
Ali presses his fingers to his lips and lets out a loud whistle that gets the attention of the Stegosaurus that won the fight.
The winner of the two then turned to the trio with an irate glare.
The Stego began charging at the trio as they yelped an ran.
"Okay so why did we do that?!" Ali yelled/asked.
"Just trust me!" Darius exclaimed as they ran to a certain point.
Before Kenji could go back to hiding Darius holds him and Ali with both of his arms.
"Hold." Darius says determined.
Kenji yelped as Ali then holds his stance.
The Stegosaurus closes in on them as it roars again.
"Hold!" Darius yells as it finally reaches them and turns to do damage with it's tail.
"Now!" Darius yelled as he and the other two dove out of the way of the attack as the Stegosaurus inadvertently helps them by hitting the large tree that blocked their water causing it to get unstuck.
As the tree falls into the river it allows the water to flow properly now which means the water problem was fixed at last.
The water fall rushes vastly with water.
The trio were running still as they were trying to escape the irate Stegosaurus.
"We did it!" Darius exclaims as suddenly Ali pulls him and Kenji down to the ground to avoid the Stegosaurus' attack.
They then got back up and began running from the Stego again.
"Great now how do we get rid of this thing!" Kenji yells as they ran hard.
Luckily the other Stegosaurus came to their rescue inadvertently as it rammed into the one that was chasing them allowing them to escape unharmed.
After gaining some ground between them and the warring beasts they stopped to catch their breaths.
"Phew, crisis ave-" Ali is cutoff as they hear stomping.
Their relaxation was put on halt as another threat stomped in front of them.
All three of them looked up to see a giant theropod dinosaur with a horn on it's snout.
It was gray in color, this was a Ceratosaurus, a very dangerous predator that was a cousin to the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
The beast looked at them with a low growl. Kenji pulled out his plastic knife in defense.
Ali looked at it as he was on the defensive.
Darius looked absolutely terrified at the sight before him.
How were they going to escape this one?
Girls
Back with the female trio who were still investigating the hidden vent.
"I knew we would find it, wait, if there's no electricity on the island what's powering this?" Brooklynn asked the main question.
"This place just keeps getting weirder and weirder." Brooklynn says puzzled.
Sammy gasps and drops the stick she was holding in shock. "Yas, Yas, Yas, Yas, this is just like that episode where Ester follows that graffiti trail!" Sammy exclaims excitedly grabbing Yasmina's arm, Brooklynn turns to look at them.
Sammy realizing she was being slightly rude looks at Brooklynn apoplectically.
"Sorry, Yas and I were talking earlier about this show we loved called-" Sammy is cutoff as Brooklynn springs up.
"Ester Stone: Highschool P.I.! Episode twenty-three where she exposed a cryptocurrency ring, I've seen every episode like eighty times!" Brooklynn exclaims excitedly as Sammy and Yasmina looked at eachother in shock before turning back to Brooklynn.
"No way, you watch Ester Stone?!" Sammy exclaimed/asked as she and Brooklynn walked towards eachother and grasped eachothers hands.
"Eh what do ya know famous people are just like us." Yasmina said incredulously.
"A K-Pop group turned me on to it when I was touring Asia with them." Brooklynn said to Sammy.
"Ish, like us ish." Yasmina adds to her sentence from earlier with an eye roll.
Sammy then grabs them both into side hugs much like Kenji does to Darius and Ali all the time.
"Then what are we waiting for, it's time to investigate..." Sammy trails off.
"A stone cold mystery!" They all exclaimed at once.
"Spread out, see if you can feel anymore vibrations." Brooklynn says as they all went to different areas to search.
Brooklynn kneels down next to some plants and begins pushing them around to search that area.
Sammy was examining some ferns as she searched for clues.
Yasmina kneels in a patch of grass as she hears the hum sound.
She then gets up on the alert and looks into the forest.
"Hey! I hear something." Yasmina exclaims as the other two walk up to her.
They smirk at eachother. "Follow that hum!" Sammy exclaimed excitedly as they ran to the sound.
Brooklynn kneels and touches the ground. "The vibrations are getting stronger, that means we're on the right track!" Brooklynn points out.
"This way!" Sammy shouted as she pointed foward and they began running again.
"Hey, remember when Ester found out the super intendants phone vibrating was actually morse code?" Brooklynn asked starting an Ester fan girl session.
"And had that killer chase scene in the warehouse." Yasmina adds in.
"And still made it to prom in that amazing dress, so good." Sammy said exasperatedly.
"I love that episode when she finds the..." Brooklynn trails off as she stops running along with the others.
"Genetics lab?" Brooklynn asked in confusion.
"Yea but that was in season two, and we don't talk about season two." Sammy said looking at Brooklynn.
"Not that lab, that lab." Brooklynn said directing Sammy's attention to the actual genetics lab in front of them as Sammy and Yasmina looked up in shock.
Boys
Back with the boys who stood face to face with death itself...again.
They all looked up at the Ceratosaurus in fear as it lookes back at them not attacking for some strange reason.
It continues staring them down as the suspense would probably kill them before it did at this point.
The large beast suddenly lets out a growl and turns away from them leaving them alone.
All three boys looked at the the Ceratosaurus as it walked off in total shock and confusion.
"Um, can someone explain to me how the hell we are alive right now?" Ali asked to nobody in particular.
He received no answer as Darius began walking foward to see what the Ceratosaurus went to do.
Kenji and Ali followed cautiously.
As they reached over the slight hill they notice an entire herd of different dinosaurs taking a drink of water from the watering hole, carnivores and herbivores in perfect harmony.
"A watering hole, Dr. Grant theorized that they can become neutral grounds for predators and prey under the right conditions." Darius informs his friends as they see the Ceratosaurus peacefully drinking water alongside some herbivores.
"Now without any cages or fences to keep them contained they're behaving like natural creatures, that's actually pretty cool." Ali adds in realization.
"We might be the first people to ever see something like this." Darius said as they watched the creatures drink water.
Darius and Ali then run towards the watering hole leaving Kenji behind.
"Wait, where are you guys going!" Kenji yelled in a hushed tone.
"Come on!" Darius yelled calling him over.
Kenji sighed as he cautiously crept over to the watering hole with his plastic knife.
The three boys made it to the watering hole as they stood in-between a Cinoceratops and the Ceratosaurus.
Kenji looked uneasy about this as he looks at the Ceratosaurus drinking water as it looked back at him still drinking.
"Um, are you guys sure this is safe." Kenji asked to Darius and Ali who were kneeling next to him.
Darius puts a hand on his shoulder to reassure him.
"Just calm down Kenji, if the Ceratosaurus wanted us dead we would have been dead already." Ali says calming Kenji down slightly.
They then smiled at eachother after Kenji was calm now.
Forgetting everything in the world at that moment they all leaned forward and grasped some water in their hands and took a sip of it.
Darius sipped his in relief as Ali sighed at how fresh the water was.
They hear the sound of sniffles coming from Kenji's direction.
They both turn to see Kenji tearing
up.
"Kenji?" Darius questions in confusion.
"Are you...crying?" Ali asked in shock that someone as prideful as Kenji would cry in front of them.
"It's just so majestic." Kenji said in bliss.
Darius puts a hand on his shoulder again as Kenji looked at his two friends who were smiling at him.
He returned the smile to them.
"This is nice." Ali said as they took in the scenery.
Girls
The girls had stumbled upon the genetics lab as they were on their mission to find out what was making that humming sound.
As they went into the lab the first place they went was Wu's lab.
"The Indominus Rex, the hum, Mantah corp." Brooklynn lists off.
"Mantah corp." Sammy says quietly.
"Yea, it all connects here, Dr. Wu was up to something big, something secret." Brooklynn said taking a look around his desk for some sort of evidence to support her claim.
Yasmina flips a switch, it does absolutely nothing. "No power." Yasmina states out loud.
"Uh, who do you think took everything?" Sammy asked as she knelt behind a flipped over table inspecting it.
"Something has got to be here." Brooklynn said determined to figure this out.
She then gets up and runs out the lab as Sammy and Yasmina run after her.
They fail to hear a low growl coming from a dinosaur that didn't look too friendly coming from behind the other door.
As they made it to another room they walked in and began looking around it to find something that would help solve the mystery.
They each looked in different areas of the room.
Brooklynn walked over to a cake, this was the cake from Eddie's birthday(the guy who tried to steal their vehicle but paid the price with his life in book one).
Brooklynn taps the cake but immediately repulses as it was hard and stale from being left in the open for weeks now.
She then steps foward and hears a crunch, she looks down to see a photo of Dr. Wu and Eddie under her foot.
She picks the picture up recognizing Eddie..sort of.
"That birthday guy! Ofcourse!" Brooklynn exlaims as she put the pieces together.
"Who?" Yasmina asked not remembering him at all.
"The van stealing birthday weirdo that Ali punched in the face, remember? He mentioned something about the other guys." Brooklynn says as she began crawling around the floor looking at various documents that were scattered on the floor.
"And that no one knows what was really going on here, could he have also been working for Mantah Corp?" Brooklynn asked to herself.
"Again! Nothing!" She yelled out in frustration as she threw the documents she had in her hands into the air.
"Brooklynn, what did you expect to find?" Yasmina asked to try and get her mind off it.
"I don't know, something big, something important, I came here to unbox Jurassic World..." She trails off as she looks at Yasmina and Sammy briefly before sighing.
"You know the rest." Brooklynn said in a solemn tone.
Yasmina and Sammy look at eachother in concern for their friend.
Before they can say anything they hear a loud roar that startles them.
They yelp and then quickly run to hide from whatever made that sound.
As they looked at the hallway they realized the culprits were the Baryonxes from before.
One of the Baryonx continues it's way down the hallway.
The other turns it's head into the room as it roared lowly and growled.
The three girls stay quiet in fear of the monster at the door.
"It's Chaos!" Sammy exclaimed as she revealed the name she gave the gray Baryonx.
"I named the Baryonxes Chaos, Grim, and Limbo." Sammy whispered to Brooklynn and Yasmina.
"After the hacker gang in episode sixty-eight?" Brooklynn asked in confusion.
Yasmina shushes them lowly as Chaos walks into the room slightly growling.
Chaos walks over to where they were as she lets out a low growl, thankfully Chaos didn't see them as the Baryonx turns and walks in the other direction.
Yasmina began crawling away followed by Brooklynn and Sammy.
Brooklynn hits the picture frame again but this time she notices an envelope next to it.
Brooklynn picks up the envelope and looks at it for a second in thought.
She hears Chaos roaring which reminds her that her life was in danger so she grabbed the envelope swiftly and kept crawling.
Chaos kept sniffing around the ground as they kept crawling and made it to the door.
Sammy and Yasmina run all the way to the end and hide.
Brooklynn stops and hides behind a table and flips the envelope over.
"E750? I know that number, it was on Wu's computer!" Brooklynn yells in a hushed tone as Yasmina shushes her.
They look at Chaos who was still searching the room growling and roaring.
They got up to move again, Brooklynn stops and looks at the envelope again and gasps at what she noticed.
Yasmina grabs her hand and pulls her behind the new hiding spot before Chaos can see them.
Chaos then gets occupied with a table that was accidentally knocked over.
Seeing this as their chance they began running.
Brooklynn trips on her own feet and lets out a groan.
This alerts Chaos as the Baryonx roars and runs after them.
"Go! Go!" Sammy yells realizing this as they just ran instead of sneaking around.
Chaos roars as she chases them across the room.
Everytime she was about to attack them they turned a corner to avoid the attack.
They finally get out the door after a couple close calls and began running out of the underground lab to get outside immediately.
They are given the chance to escape because Chaos and Limbo began fighting eachother which distracted the Baryonxes from them.
The girls were out scot free now as they ran to the exit, another life threatening situation avoided.
Boys
The boys were still at the watering hole admiring how beautiful this place was.
"Darius, thanks this was so..." Kenji trails off.
"Cool?" Darius asked him smirking.
"Super cool." Kenji said as he went and sat down on a tree.
Ali and Darius walk over to him. "I wish Dr. Grant was here, he'd write the most amazing article about this." Darius said sitting down.
"Well who says Dr. Grant has to write it? You have your journal right here, why don't you write about it?" Ali suggests as he sat in-between them.
Darius gets his journal out and turns to Ali. "This? Nah I'm just messing around." Darius said sheepishly.
"If this really isn't something nobody else has ever seen, I bet you could make this Dr. Dork mad jealous that he didn't see it first." Kenji said playfully reaching over and hitting Darius in the chest.
"Um, could have worded that better but basically he's got the right idea, why wait for Dr. Grant when we're witnessing it right now." Ali pointed out to Darius.
Darius then smiles at them. "Wanna stay a little longer?" He asked as he began writing.
"Sure, I don't see why not." Ali said in response.
"Yea, this place has even got a sweet resting tree." Kenji said getting comfortable.
Darius begins writing about the sight before him eagerly.
The three boys sat there in peace and tranquility, life was good, even on this island at the exact moment.
Girls
Unlike the boys the girls were nowhere near peace or tranquility as they were out of the lab now running for their lives screaming.
As they make it outside they come face to face with the beast that is Grim.
"Grim!" Sammy exclaims as Grim roars loudly at them.
Suddenly Grim hears a noise and forgets about them and just runs towards the noise instead.
Brooklynn, Sammy, and Yasmina didn't question why Grim ignored them, they simply run into the jungle away from the Baryonx trio.
After they've gotten a safe distance from them they pant and sigh in relief.
Brooklynn falls to the ground exasperated as Sammy and Yasmina began laughing since they survived imminent death once again.
They stopped laughing as they noticed Brooklynn looking at the ground sad.
"What's wrong?" Yasmina asked.
"It's just, I was so close to finding something, but I dropped the envelope." Brooklynn said looking up sadly as Sammy walked over to her and kneeled down.
"You mean...this?" Sammy questions as she pulls out the envelope and hands it to Brooklynn
"Sammy! You grabbed it?" Brooklynn asked in shock.
"Ofcourse!" Sammy exclaims in response.
Brooklynn then began flipping through the content of the envelope.
"Alright, a bunch of numbers, and letters, and...this thing." She said as she picks up a blank chip of some sort.
"No answers, just more questions, maybe we should check if th-" Brooklynn is cutoff as they hear a Baryonx roar loudly startling them.
"Or we should just go." Brooklynn says as they began to run away from the area, not a second to spare.
Treehouse
Back at the base the boys had came back, and were now waiting for the girls to return from their mystery solving escapade.
"Looks like someone solved the water problem." Brooklynn says as she climbs up the ladder announcing their presence to them.
"You're welcome, all me." Kenji says pointing to himself.
The girls then began cheering since the boys got the water back.
"And we found this!" Brooklynn yelled showing them the blank chip thing.
"A blank chip...that's the highlight of your investigation?" Ali asked not finding this as crazy as they made it seem.
"Well kinda." Brooklynn says as she highfives Sammy.
"Okay awesome." Darius said with little enthusiasm.
"Woo-hoo yea." Kenji said faking excitement.
"That is the dum-" Before Ali could finish his sentence Darius and Kenji cover his mouth causing his sentence to be muffled.
Kenji chuckles as the girls deadpan at them.
"Oh, come on girls you know how he gets when he doesn't have his nap." Kenji says smiling awkwardly.
Sammy ignores them. "You know if Ester Stone was here she'd say-" Sammy is cutoff by Kenji.
"Life is hard so any day that goes right deserves to be celebrated with a party." Kenji said as the girls looked at him in shock.
"What? It's a great show, the relationship between Ester and her dad is really compelling." Kenji said crossing his arms and looking away as everyone smirked at his antics.
"I mean, he's got a point the show wasn't that bad, except for season four." Ali said.
"Why didn't ya like season four?" Sammy questioned him.
"Well for starters they put Ester with some rich guy she had absolutely nothing in common with, when they hinted that she would end up with her best friend for the longest." Ali ranted.
"They forced it hard, Ester has no chemistry with that dude bruh." Ali finished.
Kenji snorts. "I have to agree with my dread headed friend here, that would be like me dating Brooklynn." Kenji said as they all burst into laughter except Brooklynn.
"Yuck." Was Brooklynn's cryptic response, causing the laughter to intensify.
"Okay, well in the spirit of Ester Stone, let's..." Sammy trails off.
"Party!" Kenji exclaims as they all have cups and clink em together.
"Check it out!" Kenji said putting down a recorder on the table and hitting play.
"Oh yea! Feel the beat!" Exclaimed the voice of Dave over a recording as he starts rapping.
Kenji bumps his head as Yasmina gets up and leaves with no words.
"Kenji, what is this?" Sammy asked with a rasied eyebrow.
"Dave's demos, found it in what's left of his bunk and was waiting for the best time to show you, here's the best part." Kenji says as the voice of Roxie repeating 'Dave' with auto tune played.
"This is a disgrace to rap and hip-hop." Ali said shaking his head as everyone else except Yasmina and himself began bumping to it.
Ali then walks over to see what Yas was doing followed by Darius.
They notice her drawing a herd of Parasaurolophuses.
"Pretty drawing." Ali commented out of nowhere surprising her.
"Yea, I would suggest making the Parasaurolophus' crest a little bigger though." Darius says as Yasmina nods and fixes that bit.
"How's this?" Yasmina questioned showing them the picture again.
"Perfect!" Darius said making the nice sign with his hand.
"Even better." Ali said with a good guy grin.
"Darius, Yas, Ali, come on!" Brooklynn yells as she grabs Darius by his arms as they look back at Yasmina and Ali.
"I'm gonna finish this up." Yasmina says as they look at Ali.
"I'll stay with Yas I wanna see how it turns out." Ali says as Darius and Brooklynn shrug and began dancing.
Kenji and Sammy were already dancing, jamming to Dave's track.
"Woah, look at that." Sammy says as she gets their attention directed to beautiful meteor shower that was happening over head.
Kenji pulls Ali and Darius into a side hug like they usually do.
Sammy does the same with Yasmina and Brooklynn as they all watched the meteor shower.
They then look over to see a light flickering in the distance.
"What is that?" Yasmina asked in confusion.
"A fire." Brooklynn pointed out.
"A camp fire." Sammy said in realization.
"Guys we're not alone." Darius says as they all smiled.
"You think they got left behind too? Or did they get our S.O.S?" Ali asked nobody in particular.
"Hopefully it's the second option." Kenji says as everyone agrees with that.
"Well there's only one way to find out." Ali said as they all nodded and prepared to go meet their possible saviors.
