Chapter 2:
"Hello? You still here?"
"Helllooooo?"
"WAKE UP"
"I'm up I'm up!! What the? Where I'm I?" Spider-Man asks as he look at his surroundings. He notices that he is no longer in the laboratory and is now in a forest with trees having orange leaves.
"Um did fall come early or did I hit my head too hard" Peter ask wondering what happened.
"Oh I don't know, maybe it's because you messed with Electro to much and now that stupid explosion sent us to who knows where!!" Venom yells, not thrilled to be stranded into an entirely new place.
"In my defense, I didn't think Ock would take advantage of the situation and rip out the control panel! And plus I couldn't just leave knowing people could have gotten hurt or killed by the explosion!" Spider-Man yells trying to defend himself.
"Then why didn't you just go get anybody in the building out instead idiot?" Venom spats out to his human host.
"Why didn't you come up with that yourself then, aren't two brains better than one?" Spider-Man counters.
"…… I hate that your right." Venom mumbles
"What was that I couldn't hero you?" Spider-Man sarcastically and mockingly asks the symbiote.
"You heard me, let's just get out of here." Venom grumbles
"Alright fine let's just go home. Aren't you gonna go into suit form? Would make getting home a lot faster." Spider-man asks as he sees he is not in the symbiote suit and back in his classic suit."
"No, I had to use a lot of energy in order to protect you from getting badly hurt. I will need time to recover, until then don't get us killed." Venom instructs Spider-Man as he then goes and rests for a while leaving Spider-Man alone with his thoughts.
"Aw man, fine, good thing I still got my web shooters with me." Spider-Man states as he pulls out his web shooters from his backpack which also contained his clothes, his phone, a couple of notebooks, a chemistry kit, and an old photo of him and his aunt and uncle from his 10th birthday.
After Spider-Man puts his web shooters on he takes a moment to look at the photo. After a few moments he puts it pack in his backpack and says, "With Great power comes great responsibility, I won't forget what you taught me Uncle Ben. Alright let's go home back to Aunt May, I don't want to keep her worried."
After reloading his web shooters, he then starts swinging from the trees and looks around for any signs of civilization. As he swings his spider-sense goes off and he dashes into the foliage of the trees, he then looks down and sees a group of four black wolfs covered in white bone plating sniffing the air as if they were looking for something.
" Okay, those wolfs look odd, where in the world did that explosion send me?"
Deciding it would be a waste of time to engage with these wild animals, and the fact he didn't want to hurt them, Spider-Man decided to just stick to jumping from tree to tree stealthily.
After an hour of looking, he spots a city in the horizon thankful that he wouldn't have to look any further.
"Finally, thank god! Now I can rest soon." Peter shouts triumphantly, put before he could go any further his spider-sense warns of an incoming danger so he jumps forward and looks back to see the same group of wolfs behind him, looking at him with the intention to kill him.
"Aw man, I thought I lost you four mutts! Fine, just for the record, I'm a cat person by the way." Spider-Man states as he gets in a defense position awaiting the wolfs next move.
At that moment, one of the wolfs lunges at Spider-Man, but he just dodges by jumping over the wolf, attaching a web line onto its back and throws it into one of the other wolfs knocking them down.
The other two wolfs lunges at him attempting to surround him, but Spider-Man just jumps and lands on one of the wolfs kicking him downward. He then punches the other wolf in the snout, send it flying backwards into a tree. Then, the two other wolfs that were knocked down first get up and circle around Spider-Man attempting to find an opening to attack.
"Oh, you doggy's want a bone, sorry but the only bones I got are mines and I kinda need them." Spider-Man says jokingly. While he dodges an attack by the other wolfs.
For a few minutes, all Spider-Man is dodge fooling around with the wolfs. After a few minutes, Spider-Man decided to stop messing around and knock them out so he can find his way home.
"Alright time to send you dogs to pound!" Spider-Man quips as all the wolfs all lunge at him at the same time. Spider-Man then does a spin kick, hitting all of the wolfs sending them back and hitting the ground knocking them out.
"How's that for you daily dose of bodily ha-" but before he could finish his sentence, he witnessed all of the wolfs slowly turn to dust, leaving nothing behind.
"-arm. Okay that's weird, what the heck were those things? Man I need some sleep." Spider-Man says leaving the area.
A half hour later, Glynda arrived at the location the last saw Spider-Man looking around for clues.
"Ozpin, I'm here, and I don't see anyone here." Glynda tells Ozpin through her scroll.
"I see, it seems whoever this individual is, they seem to be headed to Vale, try to follow them and see what they are up two." Ozpin instructs Glynda, so she can find out more about this individual.
"Of course, I'll follow them and try to catch them." Glynda tells Ozpin. A few hours pass by when it starts to get dark and the moon has start to rise up in the sky. Glynda then arrives at the location where Spider-Man fought the wolfs and inspects the scene looking for clues.
"Ozpin, I think the individual fought some Grimm here." Glynda tells Ozpin.
"Really now, what can you tell about this fight." Ozpin asks intrigued with this new information.
"For starters one of these trees look damaged and there seems to be a small crater in the middle here as if something was spammed into the ground. There seems to be now signs of ripped clothing or blood." Glynda answers, telling Ozpin of her findings.
"Really now, so it seems whoever this individual is, they seemed to be skilled enough to fight grimm." Ozpin sums up from what little information he has received.
"I wouldn't call it skilled, more like reckless, they seem to have no disregard for their surroundings or what could potentially be people around them." Glynda says, think about how reckless this individual seems to be.
"That could be a problem, if you would ple-" Ozpin stops mid-sentence as he looks at live footage outside of the wall surrounding Vale.
"Ozpin what's wrong, is something the matter?" Glynda asks, in a worried tone.
"It seems that our mysterious individual has reached Vale and is outside the wall. Glynda please return back to Beacon." Ozpin answers watching closely at what the unknown hero will do next.
"What?! How did they get there so fast?? Should I stop them now? Glynda asks waiting for further instructions.
"No head straight back to Beacon, I'll watch careful at what they will do. And please be quiet about this, if we react hastily we could cause a panic." Ozpin instructs Glynda, eyes glued to the scroll waiting for Spider-Man's next move.
"Of course, I'm on my way." Glynda answers, hanging up the call and heading straight to Beacon as quickly as possible.
"Now what's your next move?"
"Why is there a wall here? Is it to keep out those wolf symbiote rejects? Spider-Man asks himself wondering what the purpose of the wall is.
"Well better start climbi-" Just as he starts to climb the wall, Spider-Man looks at the Moon and notices the current state of said.
"WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO THE MOON!! WHY IS IT IN PIECES!! Oh god, please don't tell me I'm on another planet. Maybe I'm just tired I'm going to close my eyes and open them and the Moon will go back to normal AND NOPE ITS STILL BROKEN CRAPBASKETS!!"
Spider-Man then starts to pace in a circle contemplating what he is going to do.
"Okaaaaayyyyy so I might be on another world with no way back home, Symbie here is DEFINITELY gonna hold it against me and oh no…" Spider-man these stops in his tracks coming to a sudden realization.
"Aunt May, how am I going to get back to her, oh god I left her all alone, what have I done." Spider-Man then has his head down looking sadly at the ground.
"Okay, think Spidey think, maybe these people have discovered interstellar travel or something and could get me back home. Then again I could either be on another planet in the universe or in another entirely different universe all together. Crap there's gotta be a way back home." Spider-Man then thinks about his next course of actions, he then gets an idea.
"Hold on, they have got to have some sort of library here, I could learn about where exactly I am, really hope there isn't a language barrier or I'm screwed." Spider-Man then starts to climb the wall with a new goal in mind. Once over the wall, he then finds a place to change out his classic costume with no cameras nearby that could alert others of his alter ego.
Spider-Man, or now known as Peter Benjamin Parker when out of costume, exits an alley way when he sees the coast is clear. Peter is dressed in brown cargo pants, brown shoes, and white sweater with a blue T-shirt over it. He also carries his backpack with him containing his suit, hiding it so no one would notice.
"Okay let's see here, where is this town's nearest library? Hmm maybe I could ask someone." Peter looks around for someone that could help him, he then approaches what appears to be a police officer and asks him for directions.
"Excuse me sir, do you know where the nearest library is?"
"Go down two bocks and turn left, there should be one there." The officer answers.
"Thank you have a nice day." Peter replies, thankful that there doesn't seem to be a language barrier for him to worry about.
As he walks towards the library, he looks at his surroundings, noticing how the town looks like a mixture of old European and futuristic style like buildings.
"Okay this is weird, but at the same time pretty cool. I just hope I can get some answers at this library of the town."
After a bit of walking, Peter then finds and enters the library, when he does, he notices a young woman with fox ears on her head.
"Huh, must be some sort of new dad going around." Peter thought
"Hello there, how many I help you?" the women asks in a friendly tone.
"Hi, can you direct me to the history section I'm a bit behind for my class." Peter asks, telling a form of half lie.
"Sure the history section should be on the left of the entrance, good luck on your studies." The lady replies.
"Thank you, have a nice day. Alright let's see what I can find here."
Peter spends the last remaining hour reading everything he can about Remnant, from it's inhabitants, the Dust used in order to power their world, and to the creatures of Grimm.
" So those things I fought are called Beowolfs, and these things are soulless, man no wonder there like dollar store value symbiotes, they practically knockoffs of it. And since they don't have souls, I'm basically fighting robots, phew glad to know I don't have to hold back on those things then, but I probably should as to not raise attention to myself."
Peter continues reading, but what keeps his attention is the issue of Human and Faunus.
"Yeesh, guess it doesn't matter where you go, there is bound to be prejudice. I just hope the Faunus catch a break soon. Now do I think about it, if I choose to keep being Spider-Man here, I think it's best if people think I'm one as my alter ego. I don't want people knowing I'm actually a meta-human, god knows this world doesn't need any here, guess that technically makes me this words first."
Before Peter could read anymore, the lady from the taps him on the shoulder, getting his attention. "Excuse but it's closing time and I believe you should go home since it's extremely late."
"Oh sorry, lost track of time, thanks for having me goodnight l miss." Peter says as he leaves thanking the woman.
"One thing is for no matter where, I am, that won't stop me from behind who I am, I won't ever look the other way again."
"Dramatic much?"
"Oh there you are, I forgot you were still here, how was your nap Symbie?" Peter quips.
"Please don't call us that, it's irritating, anyways where are we? This doesn't look like New York." Venom asks, confused as it doesn't recognize the town.
"Long story short, Multiverse theory sucks, and where in another universe." Peter answers, waiting to hear what the symbiote will say next.
"…… I blame you for this. Now what are we going to do!?" Venom screeches, not exactly pleased at the current situation.
" Yeah I get it, but as for what to do next, I have no idea, from what I've read the power source they have hear is pretty much useless outside of the planet, so there's a very good chance we may never get back home." Peter tells the symbiote.
"I would say you're taking this lightly, but I can hear you internally screaming right now, please stop it's annoying."
" Sorry, it's just painful that I may never see my Aunt again and that I left New York defenseless." Peter admits, feeling like he failed everyone back on Earth.
"Oh stop crying it's like she is young, she is pretty old. She probably only has a few years left anyway, you would have been orphaned sooner or later." Venom states, tired of it's host's whining
" I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that, anyways, if you want to know more just go into my recent memories, I don't feel like explaining everything to you." Peter explains to the symbiote as he starts looking around for anything that could help his current situation.
"Really, that's just lazy, fine I'll look at your memories, for the record your memories are a mess." Venom retorts.
A few minutes later, deciding to go out as Spider-Man to better search for a place to sleep, while Peter is putting on his costume, Venom yells, "OK WHY THE HELL ARE THOSE THINGS TRYING TO COPY US!"
Peter chuckles at the symbiote's frustration, and proceeds to jump up and shoot a web line, and swing over the town.
Meanwhile, Glynda and Ozpin were reviewing the footage recorded at the wall when Spider-Man arrived at Vale. They listen closely when they hear him speak, hoping to learn more about.
"Ok, clearly this individual has lost their mind, how can they not recognize the Moon?! And why would they assume their on another world?" Glynda asks, skeptical about Spider-Man coming from a different world.
"Now Glynda, I know it sounds skeptical, but that could explain where this young man came from, however, he could be suffering from amnesia so maybe that would explain his outburst." Ozpin answers.
"Hmph, but that doesn't explain what we saw earlier, what surrounding him, a new type of Grimm?" Glynda asks, slightly paranoid of a potential grimm attack inside the city of Vale.
"Yes, that could be a problem, however it's best we keep things quiet as to not cause a panic. Tomorrow, you should scout the city and find where this individual could be hiding." Ozpin replies.
Glynda nods and wishes Ozpin good night. Ozpin is left alone in his office, constantly replaying the footage of the symbiote retracting back into Spider-Man.
"If she has anything to do with this, then this could be a problem."
Spider-Man is swinging through the City of Vale, looking for a safe place to sleep. While looking, the symbiote starts questioning Spider-Man on what the plan is.
"So what are we going to do now, you do know we are going to need to eat soon correct? What's your plane there?" Venom questions.
"I don't know, I guess I could find a shelter to stay at until I can find a job. Maybe I could be a freelance photographer here like back home?" Spider-Man answers, still unsure on what to do.
"That's your plan, really? Couldn't think of something else, why don't we chuck take some cash for ourselves and use it to get what we need? Venom asks, wanting to take a much easier solution.
" No, I won't use my powers for selfish needs, I'll just find my own solution to our problems." Spider-Man chastises the symbiote's solution.
"Fine, you heroes and you morals just makes things complicated, why is that." Venom replies.
" Because being a hero is about doing the right thing and helping others, with gre-" but before he could even start speaking the motto he has lived by the symbiote interrupts saying " I don't need your lecture Spider, all you ever do is repeat that motto in your head, I don't need to hear it for the millionth time."
" …. This is how the rest of my life is going to be with you isn't it?" Spider-man asks.
"Very much so yes, think of this as payback for the times you tried to destroy me." Venom bluntly answers.
Spider-Man just stays silent decided to just let the symbiote have this. A few minutes later, he spots what could be a homeless shelter and decides to head towards it, but before could go any further, his spider-sense goes off alerting him towards a nearby alley way. Once he arrives to said alley way, he sees a group of three thugs surrounding a Faunus couple, getting ready to assault the young couple.
"P-please don't hurt us, we give you whatever you want!"
"Once we're done with you animals no one will know what you look like." One of the thugs threatened.
But before any of the thugs could take another step forward, the one in front gets snatched up in the air in a matter of seconds. When the other two and the young couple look up, they see the captured thug dangling in the air covered in a cocoon made of webs.
"Man you thugs are all so generic, I mean can't you think something more original?"
Everyone looks behind the two remaining thugs, and see the Arachnid hero hanging upside down from a web line.
"Who the heck are you?! Some sort of huntsmen?!" The third thug asks.
"Doesn't matter let's get him!" the second thug yells. Both thugs then attempt land a hit on Spider-Man, but he just dodges all their attacks.
"Stand still freak!!"
"Yeahhhhh how about no." Spider-Man replies.
A few moments later later one the thugs swings his crowbar from behind thinking he would hit him, but to his surprise, Spider-Man catches his crow bar and breaks his into his hand.
"Sorry, was that important?" Spider mockingly asks.
Before the thing could do anything, Spider-Man kicks him towards the wall then webbing him into place. Seeing no way of winning this fight, the last remaining thugs attempts to flee but is stopped dead in his tracks and falls to the ground. When he looks behind him, he sees his legs have been webbed together and is being dragged back towards the spider hero.
"Sorry dude, but the trip to prison is a 3 for one deal." Spidey quips as he webs up the thug onto the floor. After a few moments all the thugs are hanging in the air in a much larger cocoon.
Content with his work, Spider-Man begins to leave but is stopped when the female Faunus asks him, "Wait who are you?"
Spider-Man answers in an enthusiastic tone, "Why I'm your friendly neighbor Spider-Man of course!" , he then shoots a web line and swings of into the distance heading towards that homeless shelter for the night.
" That was fast, I thought you would mess with them a bit more." Venom states expecting it's host to have mess around more.
" I didn't want that couple to get hurt, they were corned with no way out so it was best to wrap it up. Maybe next time I can quip and mess with the next batch of criminals a bit more." Spider-Man replies.
" Of course, let's just go rest, and refuel, we can find out what we can do tomorrow ." Venom instructs wanting to end the night soon.
Spider-Man just nods and heads towards the shelter, after changing into his regular clothes, he enters the building to see if he can rest there. After a little while, he is resting on an available mattress trying to go to sleep.
" Hey Symbie can I ask you a question?" Peter asks.
" Ugh, sure ask away." Venom replies, annoyed that it's host hasn't gone to sleep.
"What exactly are you? I never really bothered to understand what you are, and since I'm stuck with you, I might as well know." Peter asks.
"Isn't it obvious? I'm what you called me when you first found out I attached to your leg. I'm a symbiote, I bound to hosts on a molecular level. But if you want to know what my species are called, we are called Klyntar." Venom answers.
" Klyntar? So that's what you are called then? Are there others out there?" Peter further asks.
" Hey I only agreed to answer one question. If want the answers to those questions then I'll tell you when I feel like it, now go to sleep!" Venom yells getting tired.
"Yesh, fine good night then." Peter replies.
As he is falling asleep, he wonders if there could be a way to get back home, and if not, he doesn't know what to do next. The last thing he thinks about before falling asleep is about his Aunt May, hoping she is alright and feeling guilty for leaving her all alone.
Early the next morning, Ozpin reads a new article of a newly discovered vigilante. The news article describes the vigilante saving a Faunus couple and webbing up three criminals that attempted to assault the duo. From what the article states, the new vigilante refers to himself as "Spider-man".
"Spider-Man? What are your motives?" Ozpin asks himself learned the name of the newly discovered individual.
