Chapter 17

Two hours before dawn, the night after the second possession beast appeared...

"Zenki, come with me, we need a shower and clean bedding if we want to sleep tonight! We're sticky all over!"

"I did tell you I'd cover you with my scent tonight, so everybody with a working nose will know you're MY mate!"

"Oh, I'm not complaining about that, tonight was very pleasurable, I enjoy a lot being your mate, but the downside is that we're all sticky and we need to get clean before the sticky fluids dry and we'd have a lot of trouble getting them out!"

"I guess you are right, Chiaki, I can see that when it dries it would be hard to get out of our hair!"

"Well, now that we're here, let's wash each other, hair and body... Let's enjoy being together!"

A little after dawn, before breakfast...

Zenki was watching Chiaki sleep in his arms, wondering how this young woman had changed him, at first he hadn't cared about much besides fights, eating possession seeds, and being free to do what he wanted. That had slowly changed until Goki and Chiaki had become the most important people in his world: his brother and his mate.

Now that he knew how to love, he didn't want to be like before, even if he put up a front out of pride, and he only let the people he cared about see his caring side. Before Chiaki, he had been like a beast enslaved, but Chiaki had given him a measure of freedom, even if it wasn't total. She had loved him from the start, even if neither of them knew it was really love until he became human. He would protect her with his life, he swore.

Later, Zenki woke Chiaki up with a kiss.

"Ohayou, Chiaki!"

"Ohayou, Zenki!"

"Let's go get ready for the day, we'll have to see if we can find more possession seeds or beasts!"

At breakfast:

"Zenki-dono, Chiaki, have you thought about marriage?"

"Yes, baachan, we want a small wedding ceremony and meal, only with the people we care about, otherwise it will be rather stressful for our tempers, specially Zenki's!"

"What kind ceremony would you like to have?"

"Well, Christian is out, we aren't Christian, I don't know how the buddhist goes, and I rather like the Shinto ceremony, so we'd like that. Zenki doesn't care what kind of ceremony we have as long as it's a short one without a lot of people!"

"Chiaki-sama, Zenki, I'll take care of most of the preparations, but you and Zenki have to be fitted for your wedding garments, so you'll have to endure someone taking your measurements."

"As long as they don't take hours doing that, I think that Zenki and I can manage to get through that without completely losing our tempers!"

"Like Chiaki says, I'll try to have patience, but try to keep things short!"

After breakfast, and a good deal of tea to finish waking up, Zenki, Chiaki and Gokimaru went outside to try to locate possession seeds.

"Link your minds with mine, Zenki, Chiaki-sama, try to feel the landscape in my mindscape, let's sense any threats nearby..."

"There, in the forest! I think it's a possession seed, Chiaki, Gokimaru!"

"Let's go see if we can get it without much trouble, guys!"

"Before we go, I have to talk a bit with Zenki, Chiaki-sama, it'll be just a moment..."

.:Zenki, what the hell? Your scent is all over Chiaki-sama!:.

.:That was my intention, I want to make anyone with a working nose know she's MY mate!:.

.:Well, I can't fault you for that, our master is a very atractive young woman, even if I see her as a sister!:.

After the brief mind to mind conversation, the three of them went into the forest surrounding the Enno shrine and started searching.

"I think it is over the branch of that tree... it may be the same seed that Dokuro-sou used to bait me!"

"Chiaki, can you let me transform? I'd like to eat this seed..."

"OK, Zenki, i'll release the binding on your true form..." "Vajra On Aku!"

"Thank you, Chiaki, you're the best master I've ever had, and a wonderful mate too!"

"Oishii!"

"Ne, Gokimaru-kun, what do we do now?"

"I think we should search the forest and then go home. We'll link our minds again and if we sense any threat I'll transform so we can search faster!"

"I sense one, but it is moving, lets follow it!"

"Akasha On!"

Zenki, with Chiaki in his arms, and Goki, went in search of the possession seed or the beast.

"Look, there is a giant black crow!"

"It just dropped a possession seed!"

"Vajra!"

"Damn it, I missed!"

"That crow may be the servant of our new enemy, Chiaki-sama, Zenki!"

"You're probably right, that crow gives me a bad feeling, Goki!"

"Chiaki is right, that crow gives a bad sensation to me too!"

Zenki ate the seed, and the three of them returned quickly to the Enno shrine.

"Saki-baasama, today we found two possession seeds, and there was a giant black crow dropping the second seed in the forest. It escaped, unfortunately, it may be a servant of our new enemy. I can't see what motivates them, though."

"I see, Goki-dono, it's a pity we don't know anything about our new enemy other than that it exists!"

"Saki-baa, since we can't do anything about it right now, I'll transform into my human form and go with Chiaki to the onsen, to relax and let go of my frustrations!"

At the onsen...

"Chiaki, thanks! I need to relax, and being with you calms me down!"

"You're welcome, Zenki, do you want to kiss and fondle a bit?"

"I'd like that very much, Chiaki, I enjoy a lot being your mate!"

"Let's have a bit of fun to wash away our frustrations!"

"We'll mate again tonight, Chiaki!"

"OK, but don't make it all night long, I don't have your stamina!

"Ah! Sometimes I forget you're human, since we fight together and you're powerful enough to deal with some enemies on your own!"

"I'm glad you think I can deal with the enemies, but the truth is that I need some rest to be ready to fight, mate, and whatever happens!"

"OK, but for now, let's play and enjoy the soak together!"

In that remote underground location where Shishaou and his spirit minions were...

"So, Kurogarasu, you have news?"

The giant crow projected the images of how Zenki, Chiaki and Goki dealt with the stinky possession beast, and how the crow had escaped narrowly from Zenki's Vajra that same day."

"Soon, when the moon is totally dark, i'll be able to start my revenge on the descendants of Enno Ozunu!"

I wont be updating until after New Year, I have writer's block with the chapter I'm working on now. I also need to tidy up the timeline (what happens when) Also, real life will keep me quite busy until after the Christmas holidays. I'll be writing snippets of the story if I feel inspired.
