"Where is it!?" Dex tore through his room, searching for the cartridge. "Chiaso's going to be here any minute! I've gotta find that game!" he exclaimed. Model F came out from under the bed, covered in dust.
'Oi! Nothing down here!' he said. Gutsman checked the game consoles' systems again.
"And there's nothing in here either, guts!" he said. Dex dove down, and started throwing things aside. "I searched and searched for that game, and I'm going to play it with Chiaso!" he stood up, very emotionally. "He's been begging to play Street Fighting II with his big brudder ever since I promised him that I'd find it! I owe it to Chiaso!" he said, and dove down into the mess that was his room. Model F squeezed under the desk.
'We'll find it, man! Letting down your little brother is a no way, no how!' he said. He pushed out a stack of smaller cartridges from under the desk. 'Is it here?' he asked. Dex spun around, and started sorting through the stack.
"Myth of Rinku, End Epic V, woah! Even Needlemouse and Dreads! I thought I lost that one! But no! It's not here!" Dex stacked the games haphazardly on his desk along with the other missing games he'd found. Model F whistled at his collection. Dex spun around, and pointed to his closet. "Let's tackle the closet! Gutsman, watch for Chiaso!" he said. Gutsman stood at ready.
"On it, guts!" he said. Dex threw open his closet door, and started tossing clothes into the mass that had been slowly growing since the search began. Wonder Plumber Sunrise, Hoshi Kitsune, Epic Fighting Clash. The pile on his desk just kept growing. Dex stepped back, looking into his now-empty closet.
"This is impossible! I know I bought it!" he said. Model F came out from a narrow corner of the closet.
'Think, man. What did you do after you bought the game?' he asked. Dex stared.
"I showed it to Lan, bragging about it. Then I brought it home, and to make sure it was all ready for when Chiaso came, I put it-" He stopped. "The living room!" he said, and took off. The games here were a little less thrown around than in his room, but there was still a lot of them. Model F knocked cartridges like Pink Dream World, Capsule Monsters Garnet, and even that cheesy football game off the top. Dex stacked them on the shelf. "Anything else?" he asked. Model F floated down.
'Nope. Where next?' he asked. Dex threw open the cupboard, throwing Little Monkey Racing aside.
"Check under the couch, and in the cushions!" he said. The TV screen turned on.
"Chiaso's just gotten off the Metroline, guts!" Gutsman exclaimed. Dex felt like he was about to explode.
"We're not gonna find it in time!" he said. Model F came out from behind the couch cushions.
'Dex! Get a grip! No matter how we do it, we always get results, we always do what we've set our mind on. That's what it is to be the Fire Mega Man!' he exclaimed. He turned around. 'There's still one place we haven't checked yet. Are you gonna give up now, or go for broke?!' he said. Dex nodded.
"Go for broke! For Chiaso!" he said, and ducked under the couch along with Model F. Dex grabbed Child Angel, Homeward, G-One-
'I found it!' Dex looked up, slamming his head against the couch top.
"You did?!" he exclaimed. Model F glowed bright, lighting up a cartridge wedged between the wall and the couch.
'Problem is, I can't knock it out, and moving the couch might break it.' he said. Dex pulled out.
"Then let's lift it!" he said. Model F still glowed.
'Let's!' he said. Dex grabbed the Biometal.
"Model F! Megamerge!" he exclaimed. Model F's eyes flashed.
'MEGA System online!' Dex lifted the couch and watched the little Street Fighting II cartridge fall. He grabbed it with one hand gently.
"We got it." he said, staring. Gutsman appeared.
"Chiaso's coming in!" he exclaimed. Dex flinched, and lowered the couch as quickly as possible. He set the cartridge on top the correct console, and exited out of the Megamerge just in time for Chiaso to enter. Chiaso looked up, all smiles.
"Big brudder!" he exclaimed, and charged into him. Dex hugged him tight.
"Chiaso! I got it!" he said, and showed him the game. Chiaso's eyes sparkled.
"You got it, big brudder! You got it, you got it, you got it!" he cheered. Dex smiled, sighing in relief.
"It looks like he cleaned up a bit too." his dad said. Dex blinked. If Model F could shrug, he would.
