Totally Spies: Clover's Totally Fabulous Birthday

Chapter 4

As soon as the spies were finished with their pizza, they waited in the living room for their friends to show up.

"As soon as Britney and the others show up, that's when we go to The Groove for our shopping spree, right?" Alex spoke up.

"Yep, and while we're doing that, Britney, Dean and Blaine will be setting things up for the party," Sam explained.

Despite Clover's earlier apprehension that something bad was gonna happen, she was suddenly very excited.

"Oooh, I can't wait! This is going to be so much fun!" Clover squealed in excitement. "I can't wait to go to The Groove with my friends and family!"

"Me neither!" Daisy said with excitement in her voice. "I've always wanted to go shopping with you at your favorite hangout place, Clover."

"Well, Daisy, today's your lucky day," Clover said happily. "Cause soon you'll get to see what The Groove is like."

Suddenly, the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it," Sam said.

Sam opened the door and saw Dean standing on the other side.

Dean waved, "Hey, Sam."

"Hi, Dean," Sam said blissfully. "Glad you could make it."

"Wouldn't miss this for the world, Sam," Dean said politely.

Dean walked into the penthouse and saw Alex and Clover standing there along with Clover's mom and sister.

"Happy Birthday, Clover," Dean said with a wave.

Clover smiled brightly.

"Thanks, Dean," Clover gestured to her mom and sister. "This is my mother, Stella and my sister, Daisy."

"Pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Ewing," Dean spoke. "Clover told me you're a WOOHP agent too. And quite a skilled one in such a short time, I might add."

Dean and Stella shook hands.

Stella giggled, "My, you're a charming young man. Well, it certainly wasn't easy getting into it at first. But rescuing our daughters turned out to be all the motivation we needed."

Dean giggled, "I believe that."

Dean turned to Daisy.

"It is also nice to meet you, Daisy," Dean said politely.

"Nice to meet you too, Dean," Daisy responded with a smile.

As Daisy shook Dean's hand, she developed a look of bliss as she stared at his face.

"Wow, Clover was right, he is a major cutie," Daisy couldn't help thinking.

"Clover tells me you're quite the martial artist," Dean spoke.

"Oh, I am," Daisy said with a nod. "I could show you my skills some time… uh, if you don't mind sparring with me, that is."

"I'd love to spar with you sometime, Daisy," Dean said with a smile.

Daisy giggled.

Clover stifled a little giggle. Her little sister seemed to have taken a liking towards Dean. And to be honest, who could blame her. Clover herself along with Sam and Alex also had major crushes on Dean ever since they met him while training to be super-spies.

"Hey, guys," a familiar female voice came.

Clover and the others looked to see Britney walk into the room.

"Britney!" Clover said happily. "Glad you could make it."

"You kidding? There's no way I'd miss a chance to hang out with you, Sam and Alex on your birthday, Clover," Britney said with a smile.

"We're glad to see you too, Britney," Sam spoke up.

"Yeah, thanks for coming," Alex said in appreciation.

"No problem," Britney responded.

Britney took notice of Stella and Daisy.

"And you must be Clover's mother and sister, right?" Britney inquired.

"We are," Stella answered. "I'm Stella and this is Daisy."

"You must be Britney," Daisy spoke up. "Clover spoke very highly of you."

"Yeah, I've done missions with your sister and her friends before," Britney spoke. "They are the best friends a girl could have and I've learned so much from them, especially Alex."

Alex smiled.

"And Clover told me that you're highly skilled in karate, is that right?" Britney inquired.

"I am," Daisy nodded. "I've been taking karate lessons for five years."

"Awesome!" Britney said in amazement. "Maybe you could show me your skills one day."

"I'd love to," Daisy said with a big smile.

"Hey, where's Blaine?" Sam suddenly asked.

"Yeah, Britney, didn't Blaine say he was coming here with you?" Alex asked.

"He was right behind me," Britney answered. "Oh, there he is."

Sure enough, the very person they were waiting for to arrive last came through the doorway.

Blaine waved, "Hey, Clover, it's been a while, hasn't it?"

Clover smiled, "Yes, it has."

Blaine rubbed the back of his head, "Look, Clover, about what I said on the…"

Clover held her hand up.

"You already apologized, Blaine," Clover pointed out. "Really… we're good."

"What she said," Sam added.

"Yeah, don't worry about it, Blaine, we're all friends here," Alex added.

"Ok… thanks," Blaine gratefully.

"I'm just happy that you apologized and that you would come over for my totally fabulous birthday," Clover spoke.

"And I'm glad I could come here to support you on your birthday, Clover," Blaine responded with a smile.

Clover gestured to her mom and sister, "This is my mother, Stella and my sister, Daisy."

Stella crossed her arms, "So you're my daughter's ex-boyfriend who tried to kill her once, correct?"

"Mom!" Clover whispered hastily.

"It's ok, Clover," Blaine interjected. "I kinda deserve that," Blaine developed a nervous look, "Though, would it help at all if I said, I'm really, really sorry I tried to kill your daughter and broke her heart?"

"I was just messing with you," Stella spoke. "If Clover says she forgives you, then so do I. But I'm keeping my eye on you."

Blaine nodded, "Fair enough."

"I forgive you too, Blaine," Daisy spoke as she stepped forward. "People make mistakes and sometimes they just don't know any better. It's perfectly normal."

"She's got that right," Alex spoke up. Sam nodded in agreement.

Sam and Alex knew exactly what that was like because they too didn't know better the last time they fought Geraldine.

"Thanks," Blaine said in appreciation. "You're Clover's sister, huh? Daisy, is it?"

"That's me," Daisy responded.

Daisy walked up and shook Blaine's hand.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Daisy," Blaine said politely.

"Nice to meet you too," Daisy responded.

"Well, now that we're all here," Alex spoke up. "Are we ready to get Clover's birthday shopping spree on?"

"I sure am!" Clover exclaimed in excitement. "I am so ready to be a shopaholic today!"

"Ok," Sam spoke up. "So… Dean, Britney, Blaine… you know the plan… while we go shopping, you guys will set things up for the party."

"Don't worry about it, Sam, we got it," Dean pointed out.

"We'll have this place birthday party ready by the time you get back," Britney added.

"Hey, Britney," Alex spoke up. "Are you sure you don't want to come with us?"

"Nah, it's alright," Britney said with a wave of her hand. "It's Clover's special day. I'm just happy to help."

"Alright, fair enough," Sam said. "Now who's car are we taking?"

Suddenly, Jerry's face appeared on the TV screen again.

"Taking a car actually won't be necessary, Sam," Jerry announced. "I've sent the WOOHP undercover hover limo to pick you up and take you to The Groove."

"Awesome!" Sam, Clover and Alex all said in unison.

"A hover limo?!" Daisy said in amazement.

"You mean a limo that hovers," Stella said in disbelief.

"That's right, Stella," Jerry confirmed. "It'll be waiting for you at the Mali-U entrance."

Clover gave a thumbs up, "Good choice, Jerr. Nothing like taking a posh ride to your favorite hang-out on your birthday. Especially with your mother, sister and best friends."

Daisy giggled, "You got that right."

"Well, then what are we waiting for?" Sam spoke up.

"Yeah, to The Groove we go!" Alex said excitedly.

With that, Clover, Sam, Alex, Daisy and Stella all walked out of the penthouse and started making their way to the front entrance of Mali-U.

Meanwhile, Grace continued to use her flying bug camera to spy on the girls as they left their penthouse.

Grace smirked. She then turned around to face a person who was standing behind her concealed in the shadows.

"They're leaving their penthouse," Grace announced. "They're heading for The Groove. You know what to do."

Stepping out of the shadows was none other than Mandy. She was wearing what looked like a dark purple jump suit. Mandy smirked evilly.

"Oh, don't worry, 'Mistress'," Mandy said sinisterly. "Me and my spy-sassins will make sure that those spy losers are history by the end of the day."

"Good," Grace spoke. "Remember, eliminate Alex and Sam, but I want Clover alive.

"Um, why would you want Clover alive, of all people?" Mandy said in an annoyed tone. "I'd relish the opportunity to eliminate her myself."

"Let's just say, I have something… special in mind for her," Grace said vaguely. "As for her mother and sister, you can do whatever you want with them."

"Oh, with pleasure," Mandy said evilly.

"Just don't lose sight of the true goal," Grace pointed out. "We need those annoying spies out of the way so we can get my Aunt Geraldine out of prison."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Mandy said dismissively. "Don't worry about it, we'll get the job done."

"See that you do," Grace said in a stern tone. "Or else there will be dues to pay."

Mandy just huffed and stormed off.

Grace turned back toward her computer screen and smirked evilly.

"Even if Mandy's little ambush fails, I still have my backup plan as well," Grace said aloud. "All I need is a little… leverage."

She said this as she stared at her computer screen which currently had a view of the spies. Particularly, Clover's sister.

"If I can't get Clover as a hostage," Grace continued speaking aloud. "Then her precious little sister will do quite nicely."
