Chapter 489: The Reunion aftermath…

(A hospital in Fresno California.)

We see Michelle, Lincoln and Luna waiting outside and are deeply concerned about what had happened and they are praying for Amanda to be alright and fine. Then the doctor comes out, Michelle's cousin Dr. Clark J. Lewis. They go over and Michelle asks. "Clark how is she?"

Clark then explains. "Surgery was a success. We took out the bullet and Amanda will recover. She lost blood, but not too much. You can go and see her but she's still gonna need some rest."

This makes them happy to know. The trio go inside the room and they see her, Amanda Bright on the bed and unconscious. Her glasses on the table nearby and she's stable and fine. They sit by her side and hold her hand.

Lincoln and Luna have teats and want her to come back. Lincoln cries. "Please… please come back mom, please come back to us."

Michelle then hugs her kids and she too has tears. "Amanda is strong kids… she will recover. We just need to be patient and let her rest, okay?"

Then the door opens and Edgar and Bernie Lewis show up. They are both shocked to see Amanda in this state and are deeply concerned. Edgar then speaks. "Clark told us her state, we're sorry about what had happened."

Bernie speaks. "We found out that Oscar and Emily drugged the guards which is how they managed to get the slip into the place. We never knew that something like this would happen. We're sorry guys."

Michelle departs from the hug with her kids and she speaks to Edgar and Bernie. "You both are bot at fault here. We didn't see that coming and the true criminals are those two snakes who orchestrated the whole thing and those who sided with them." That one angers Lincoln and Luna deeply. She then asks. "What happened to all of them?"

Edgar explains. "The ones who sided with Oscar and Emily are now arrested and we have chosen to remove them from the Lewis last name for good. Oscar of course is dead and it seems he stay that way. Emily will be locked away in a fortified FutureTech Prison from your friends and the prison where Oscar and Emily came from is going to be replaced and the warden and guards arrested for corruption."

Just then someone groans and they see Amanda slowly opens her eyes. "What the hell? Wait, why is it somewhat blurry?" then she realizes. "Right, glasses." She then grabs her glasses and wears them. "There we go…"

But then she gets hugged by Lincoln and Luna. She smiles from this and so Amanda hugs them back and she sees the tears in their eyes. "Hey guys. I'm alright and back again." She then looks to Michelle. "I'm glad your okay."

Michelle has tears of joy and she goes over and embraces her girlfriend and they share a small kiss. "You saved my life and… and I thought I wouldn't see you again, I love you… we love you."

Amanda smiles. "I love you guys too and I will do whatever it takes to help keep this family together and safe." They are all happy that Amanda is awake and alright again. They'll tell her about her injuries later.

Michelle then looks towards Edgar and Bernie. "I know we should be staying for a week and all… but I think we should be heading home soon. Sorry."

Bernie nods. "No, it's alright. We understand Michelle. After what had happened, you guys need the break from the whole experience." Edgar and Bernie leave them be.

Luna then looks to Michelle. "Mom, are you sure about this decision?"

Michelle smiles and she nods. "I'm sure. After all, we have been through quite a lot lately and… I just wanna go back home and spend time with the three most important people in my life."

This makes Lincoln, Luna and Amanda smile and they share a group hug, a big family group hug.

A/N: Yup, the whole thing might have turned to good with Amanda doing fine, and the others in trouble, it still seems right for them to go back home, to Royal Woods Michigan. I do hope that you all enjoyed reading this new chapter everyone.
