I don't own Kingdom Hearts or any of the characters within the Arkhamverse. They belong to Square Enix, Disney, DC, and Rocksteady. And here we are again, back with another chapter. I've come up with lots of ideas for this What if...? scenario so let's dive into the reviews and then we can jump into the chapter!
Darth Mando: Exactly what I was thinking! Trust me, he and Wonder Woman will get along great in this fanfic! And I've got plenty of surprises for this story! You might like you see!
the mysterious Mr.E: Thank you!
weavile101: Don't worry, I try to fix any mistakes, I make as I re-read the chapter. I edit them as I go. Glad you like this so far.
VaderSkywalker: Oh, the Power of Waking will play a big part in the story. I don't want to say too much without spoiling the whole story. And yes, I do plan for the fictional universe role I've used in my said previous stories to play a role in here as well. We don't go too much into it until the next chapter though. And yes, I do have a whole joke to set up that realization. As for where this takes place, while the Sora vs Yozora does happen, Kairi has not yet gone to sleep, and our other Keyblade Wielders are just beginning the search for Sora.
Guest02957: Glad you like it so far and I actually have so many ideas for this fanfic, you'll just have to see what will happen in this story.
G09F17R02: Thank you!
urlgang: Because it's been well-established lore since the first game. It mentioned that it's the only thing that can truly destroy them and free the Hearts they consumed. That's why the Organization needed them in 358/2 days and II, because if they could do it, they would've not needed Sora, Roxas, or Xion. Sure, we never got a good example of it on screen, but that doesn't mean they ignored their own lore. Maybe they'll show in KH4, maybe they won't... either way, fanfic writers, like myself, like to use that idea for the need for the hero to rise to the occasion.
Superwheeltires: Thank you!
danifan3000: You'll have to wait and see what happens!
With that out of the way, let's start the chapter! Enjoy!
Chapter 3: Beware the Bat
As Sora tried to catch up with Flash and Green Lantern, he sliced down as many Heartless and Nobodies along the way. Getting stronger after each one he slayed. At the rate he came to this world, he was back where he started, so he knew he had to regain his power any chance he'd get if he was going to help Flash knock some sense into Green Lantern.
He did occasionally run to survivors and stopped to help them get away from the Heartless and Nobodies. After striking down the remaining monsters, one of the survivors, a mother of two young children ran up to him, "Thank you so much!"
"Find somewhere safe, and lock yourselves inside until it's safe," The Keyblade Wielder told the group of survivors, "I'm going to find the League and fix this mess."
"You be careful, kid," A cop spoke up, "Meta or not, these monsters are no joke!"
"I'll be fine," He reassured the cop as Sora and the group of survivors went their separate ways. As he continued to run, he muttered to himself, "This would be easier if Donald and Goofy were here."
As he continued to run, he noticed something. It was another crack but this one was a lot smaller than the one he went through, "What is this?"
The first one he saw was definitely a portal to this world. This one was different. Part of him wanted to check it out when he saw a burst of lightning zooming across the streets with Green Lantern on his tail. His eyes widened, "Ugh! What am I doing?! Flash needs help now!"
Sora then picked up the pace, using his Keychain to pull himself closer to where all the action was. He was getting closer to the action, he could feel it. Soon enough, he pulled himself on a rooftop of a building, when the Flash ran up to him, "Kid! It's not safe out here. Meta or not, you should find your parents and get yourself to safety! Leave the hero work to the pros!"
"But I can help! I-" Sora tried to explain himself when the two noticed Green Lantern made a giant construct of himself looking down the fastest man alive.
"No time to argue! Hide! Get to safety!" Flash told the Keyblade Wielder before he ran over the streets far from Sora was to keep his attention off of him.
"C'mon, Flash!" The giant Green Lantern called out to him, "You're making this a whole thing!" He tried to keep up with the Scarlet Speedster, "Flash! You've got the WRONG IDEA about Brainiac! Come back to the skull ship-"
"I don't know, man!" Flash cut him off as he stopped at another building, "'Skull ship' sounds pretty evil villain to me!"
The Lantern then constructed to giant mini guns and fired them upon the non-corrupted superhero, as the Flash ran around easily dodging the bullets. Sora tried to keep up with the fastest man alive with Keyblade in hand, but by the time he got there Flash had moved on, as the Green Lantern kept his attention on him as Flash warned Sora, "Out of control Lantern! Stay back!"
Sora groaned in frustration as he continued trying to keep up with the speedster. All while the possessed superhero gave out his own frustrated laugh, "Flash! I'm TRYIN' to be easy here! Brainiac just wants to talk!"
Sora rolled his eyes, even he knew that was a flat out lie... and he's hung around legitimate pirates so he knew a lie when he heard one... most of the time. Flash even countered, "Like he TALKED to you?! Listen to yourself! You've been brainwashed!"
Green Lantern fired his massive guns at Flash again who easily out ran every shot as the latter called out to his friend, "Lantern! Wake up, buddy! See what Brainiac's got you doing!"
"I'm saving the world!" The Green Lantern argued, "That's the League's mission! Now get over here BEFORE I HAVE TO HURT YOU!"
"This is bad, kid! Go! Run!" Flash ran by Sora only for a moment before running in front of the Lantern to get his attention as he called out to latter, "You want me, buddy... Then HERE I COME!"
As Lantern prepare for another attack, Flash began one of his own running in circles to create a cyclone! The bursting winds pushed Sora back, but he tried to fight it. Really with Marshmallow was here to help protect him from the winds so he could reach Flash. Soon, the two heroes struck and knocked each other flying back. The teenager's eyes widened in horror, "Oh no! Flash!"
As the winds died down, Sora used his grapple to launch himself in the direction of Flash. He ran, leap, grappled from building to building as fast as he could. The Scarlet Speedster took a nasty hit there and he had to get there before the Green Lantern recovered or the Heartless and Nobodies reached him first.
Eventually, he seeming lost the trail of the fastest man alive, as he sighed, "Flash! Where are you?!" When he didn't get a response, he groaned, "I could've sworn he was knocked back in this direction!"
He put away his Keyblade as he crossed his arms to think, "Wait... Flash had something he used to get out of tight spots... he said so in his holo recording thing. He could vibrate his molo-something to make himself invisible. So, what if he is here, just invisible?"
He looked around for any sign of the Flash, as he walked aimlessly on the roof, "I mean, he's gotta be around some-" Shuddenly, he tripped on something, "WHOA!" Before collapsing on the ground, "Ow!"
He was about to wonder what he tripped on when Flash stopped vibrating, "Kid... you're going to get yourself killed if you keep following me..."
"I could say the same thing about you." He ground before getting back on his feet, "Going after Lantern alone." He then noticed he was injured pretty badly, "And he really did a number on you." He then began to search in his pockets, "Hold on, I might still have a healing potion on me."
"No, you need to get out of here," The Scarlet Speedster shook his head, "They're coming."
Sora didn't even need to ask who as Heartless appeared all around them. Quickly summoning his Keyblade, he went into his battle stance as on Heartless exclaimed, "Order's from Brainiac. Bring in the Flash alive. Bring in the human boy for study."
"Just come a try it," Sora retorted as the Heartless pounced at him. Swinging his blade, he cut down the first three with ease.
As Sora fought off the Heartless, Flash whispered, "Hold on... I'll get us out of here... just need a minute..." He then coughed, "Okay, coughing's not a good sign."
Avoid a swipe, he cut down the Heartless with his Keyblade, freeing the hearts it consumed. A Large Body jumped in, creating a small shockwave, but Sora avoided it and struck it from behind, destroying it. A NeoShadow tried to get Flash discreetly, but Sora noticed, "Oh no, you don't!" He aimed his Keyblade at the Heartless and exclaimed, "Water!"
Thankfully the water spell still work as the water shot out of his Keyblade and blasted the Heartless away from the wounded hero. Sora finished it off with a single strike. He then quickly went to move and take out the remaining Heartless. Doing a quick scan of the area, once he knew they were safe for the moment, Sora ran back to Flash, "Flash?! Flash! Can you move?!"
The speedster only groaned in response. He was out cold. Sora groaned, "Great..." He then brightened up, "Nothing that a potion can't fix!" He dug in his pocket but after a minute of searching, his eyes widened in realization, "I'm fresh out of potions!" He frowned, "Must have used the last one's I had when restoring Kairi's heart..."
He stood up, "Okay, I can still get more. Just need to find a Moogle Shop." He then heard an explosion in the distance, before glancing to Flash, "But first I need to get you to safety before Lantern or more Heartless and Nobodies come back."
He then looked around the area, "But where to...?" He then spotted a museum. A Batman museum that claimed to be: "the ultimate Batman experience." Sora instantly brightened up, as stated, "Perfect! Good place to hide and I get to learn more about Batman! It's a win-win!"
"C'mon, Flash," He ran over to the speedster as he started to pick him up, as he grunted, "They... made... this look... so much easier... in the movies..." Lifting Flash over his shoulder, he tried moving the fastest man alive to safety, "Man... I really wish I brought... Donald and Goofy with me!"
Well, at least it wasn't a far way to the museum...
As Sora moved Flash to ground level, he wasn't away that a dark figure was watching his presence before leaping over to the museum first...
Sora shoved the doors open and pulled Flash inside, he then set the speedster down, took a moment to breathe, "Whew! Made it!"
He then glanced to the door behind them and immediately closed it. Summoning his Keyblade, he aimed it at the door. Light swirled around it as a beam of light shot from the tip of the key, and locked the door so no one could follow them, "And that should buy us some time."
Hearing some groans, he turned to the Flash as he tried to get up before collapsing to the ground. He rushed over, "Don't move. I'm going get someone to help heal you up."
"I'll be alright, kid," He reassured him before coughing, "I've always been a fast healer since I've had my powers." After a few more coughs, he told him, "I have to admit. You weren't that bad out there for kid. You really have a handle on your powers."
"Well, this isn't exactly the first time doing this," Sora admitted, "And quit calling me kid. My name is Sora."
"Right... Sora..." He slowly nodded, "How long have you been doing this?"
"Uh, let's see, what day is it today?" Sora pondered that question for a moment, "What day is it today?"
"Friday," The wounded hero answered.
"I've been doing this for almost three years," Sora answered.
"Three years?" Flash blinked in confusion, "How come I never heard of you until now?"
"I'm..." He started before thinking about the World Order. However, considering most of the League didn't keep a tight lid on the other worlds, he figured there would be no harm telling him, "I'm not from your world."
"Oh, you're an alien like Superman," The Scarlet Speedster slowly nodded, "That explains a lot." He groaned, "What brought you to Earth?"
"It's a long story..." Sora admitted before Flash placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Sora, listen, you have a good heart," The scarlet speedster admitted, "But you can't face Brainiac alone. He's more dangerous than we realized. He's got most of the League under his control. Lantern, Superman... even..."
He then was on the verge of passing out again, "Hey, stay with me. I promise, we're going to help them. But first we need to get you back on your feet. But first we need to..."
Sora paused. Things were quiet in here. Too quiet. Even with the doors locked, he figured the Heartless would try to find a way inside. Not to mention, they wouldn't have held back Green Lantern. Suddenly, he heard footsteps, running their way. He turned to see a police officer running for his life as he pleaded, "Help me! Help-"
Then something flew in from the shadows, grabbed him and pulled him back to the darkness as the officer's gun fell to the ground. Sora's Keyblade quickly appeared in his hand, "Heartless! Thought things were a little too quiet!"
"No... not monsters..." Flash made out as he fought to stay conscious, "Someone... worse..."
"Well, I've battled Titans, Krakens, and All-Powerful Genies," Sora bravely stated, "I'm sure I can handle whatever this Brainiac can throw-"
Suddenly, the officer fell back to the ground beaten, broken, and motionless as his last expression remained on his face. Pure terror. Blinking dumbfounded, a Heartless would've consumed his heart and even the more powerful Nobodies couldn't leave that an effect. What could have done this.
Those answers came as another figure descended to the ground. Before standing to face Sora as his widened in recognition. While his cold angry eyes that glared at him were purple like Lantern's, his identity could not be mistaken. This was the Batman.
Batman glare remained upon Sora as he pulled out a device from his belt before using his thumb to activate the device as the entire room darkened as the Dark Knight faded from view. Metal gates sealed around the entrance Sora and Flash entered so no one could escape. The weakened hero warned the Keyblade Wielder, "Sora... run..."
While his confidence drifted a little, he still kept his battle stance. Even as smoke poofed in his eyes temporarily blinded him, "Argh!"
Shaking off the smoke, he wondered around the museum as he muttered to himself, "This wasn't exactly what I had in mind for the ultimate Batman experience."
And this was definitely not how he wanted to meet the League. Still, despite not beginning at his full strength, Sora bravely walked around to search for the Batman. He knew Batman didn't have powers but that wasn't the deciding factor of this fight. After all, he was a part of the Justice League for good reason. He couldn't afford to underestimate him.
Maybe he could try reaching out to his heart, maybe something would reach him. Like when Tron was Rinzler in the Realm of Sleep. He called out, "Batman! Bruce! I don't want any trouble! I'm a friend! I just want to get Flash some help! He's hurt badly! I know this Brainiac did something to you and Green Lantern! I know you don't really want to hurt me!"
He then something incoming from the shadows. Wiping his Keyblade, he deflected the bat-like projectiles thrown at him. Waiting for the next move, he wondered around the museum, "Come on! I really don't want to fight you either!"
All of a sudden, he heard something beeping underneath his feet. He looked down to see he stepped off a drawing of a bat made of some kind of foam... only for it to explode, knocking him over, "Gah!" He groaned, "Okay... watch out for anything bat shaped... got it..."
He stumbled back to his feet as he went back on guard. With his very limited vision, he walked around the museum, "C'mon, Bruce! There's no need for this! Just come out so we can talk!"
Suddenly, he heard something rush past him, and he turned around to see a body being dragged into the vent. Rushing over to the area his eyes widened at the bodies that lied all over the ground. They were all dead! From what he learned about Batman, he would never kill anyone! Especially an innocent! What did Brainiac do to him and Lantern?!
As he cautiously, walked around the museum, he found more dead bodies in his wake. He was no stranger to danger, but... still this reminded him when the he and the Guardians of Light first attempt of the Seekers of Darkness... and it frightened him to his core. Suddenly, another body feel in front of him. Sora quickly went to check on the victim, only to realize he had already taken his last breath.
He moaned for the lost of these innocent lives. All he could hope that they were in a better place now. He then looked up to see if he could spot the Dark Knight, "Bruce! I know we never met but I know your story! I know what happened when you were a boy! These people you..." He shook his head trying hard not be angry at Bruce, knowing this wasn't his fault, "They had families! Friends! People that cared about them! How can you possibly be okay following someone who's forcing you to hurt innocent people like your parents?!"
Suddenly, he heard something gliding down towards him, he turned just in time to see Batman appear to strike him, feet first. He was able to block his kick with his Keyblade just in time, and pushed him back causing him to flip and land on his feet. His purple eyes still glared at Sora as the latter exclaimed, "C'mon! Say something!"
Batman only charged at him as he threw his fists at Sora. He narrowly avoided his own strikes only to be kicked in chest knocking him back. Skidding on his feet, he charged in and swung his Keyblade as Batman easily dodged and blocked each one of his attacks. He grabbed him Keyblade and threw him to the opposite end of him causing him to stumble. Sora turned back to face him, only to discover that he was no longer there. His eyes narrowed, "I think I'm a little old to be playing hide and seek with you, Bruce!"
"Now come back down! Or find you and knock some sense into you!" Sora threatened. When he still didn't hear a response, he continued his path, making sure to avoid any traps Batman may have set up. He knew he had to take the fight to him, otherwise, he'd always be at a disadvantage. Thankfully, while Batman was far more experienced than he was, he did have on advantage on his belt...
...he fought enemies who like hide in the darkness all the time! He aimed his Keyblade in the ceiling above him, "FIRE!"
A burst of fire launched from his Keyblade. The room temporarily lit up, as the flame was about to hit a gargoyle Batman was standing on. Pulling out his grapple, he fired his wire and swung over to another gargoyle as the flame struck the one he was on. Sora smirked to himself, "Gotcha! Two can play at this game!"
He then used the other end of his Keyblade and grappled onto the gargoyle Batman was going for and yanked himself upright to the same gargoyle the latter was about to land on. Sora slammed his body into the Cape Crusader causing both to fall back to the ground. Both quickly recovered, but Sora was quicker as he was able to wack Batman with his Keyblade, knocking him back. The brainwashed Bruce wiped the little mark on his face as he turned to Sora and finally spoke, "All that effort for a speck of blood."
With that, the two reengaged each other, Sora swung his Keyblade as Batman once again blocked and countered every strike. Eventually, Batman grabbed onto the handle of the Keyblade as Sora struggled to remove it from his grip. Batman forces Sora to make his Keyblade hit the ground before using his free hand to make the teenager bump his head on the hilt, he grabbed his keyblade and kicked him across the room. Stumbling to his feet, he stretched forth his hand.
The Keyblade vanished from Batman's hands. If he was surprised, he didn't show it, even after it returned to Sora's hand ready to strike. Before it could hit, Batman threw something on the ground, clouding Sora's vision with smoke, "Agh! Again?! Seriously?!"
As Sora's vision returned, Batman had vanished from view again. He hated to admit but at the rate he was going, he couldn't take on this possessed hero. He couldn't give up either. He thought to himself, "I need a new plan. Think... until I get my strength back, Batman will always be ten steps ahead of me. My best bet is to get Flash somewhere safe so he can recover. Then we can take on Batman together."
He then headed back in the direction where he came from still keeping his guard up. He found more of the bat-shaped explosive gel, but he quickly washed it away with water magic before he stepped on it. He also made sure to avoid the wall vents and look up if Batman was hiding on the gargoyles again. Without too much trouble, he found his way back to Flash. He whispered, "Flash. If you can hear me, we're getting out of here so you can recover. We can help Batman once you're better and figure out how to fix him."
Before he could reach him, Batman leaped out of the floor grates, much to Sora's shock, and kicked the teen to the floor. Sora groaned, "Cheep shot!"
As he tried to recover from the attack, Batman placed a finger on his right ear and spoke, "Green Lantern, I have the Flash. Your Multiverse Meta-Human. He led me right to him." He knelt down and picked up the fallen officer's gun with his free hand, "No. He may have some skill and power but he's not a threat at all..." Sora glared at that... if he hadn't lost most of his powers again... He groaned as he tried to get back up but he was too wounded. Batman then slowly walked up to him, "Still... let his corpse strike fear to all who'd resist."
He stood over the defeated Sora and aimed the gun at his head. Just as he pulled the trigger, Flash regained consciousness and ran in to intercept Batman. While everything happened in seconds for Sora, Flash desperately tried to intercept the bullet before it could kill the boy. After missing it a few times, he finally managed to touch it and moved the bullet just inches away from the Keyblade's Chosen One. Sora moved his head as the fire bullet hit the ground. However, Batman managed to get on top of the speedster and started beating him down to the ground. Sora weakly tried to get back up, "Stop it..."
However, Batman refused to listen as he continued to punch Flash, even after the latter was already defeated. Sore pleaded, "Please. He's your friend..."
After another punch, he was about to strike again, when he stopped. At first, Sora thought he managed to reach him. The Dark Knight dropped the Flash on the ground and placed his finger back in his ear, "Alive. Of course, Brainiac." He stood back up as he stated, "We're ready for phase."
Just then purple energy swirled around them, as Flash weakly turned to Sora, "Find... Diana... find... her..."
"NO!" Sora reached out to the two Justice Leaguers before they were teleported away. Slamming his hand on the ground in defeat. He couldn't save either of them. Now, whatever this Brainaic did to Batman and Green Lantern, he was going the same to Flash. How was he going to save this world at this rate, let alone the Justice League? Just then, he noticed something, whatever teleported Batman with the captured Flash, left a small breach. It was just like the one he had seen earlier... not a portal. But something else entirely. Maybe... it led to wherever Batman took Flash. Maybe he could still pull him out before it was too late.
Picking up his Keyblade, he weakly raised it at the crack, which caused the crack to open temporarily blinding Sora. He dropped the Keyblade as a figure walked out of it... it sort of looked like... When he tried to get up, he fell back on the ground, as he muttered, "Ow..."
The figure seemed alert to the cry of pain, turned, and waddled over to him. Looking down at him as the figure greeted him, "Hello. I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion."
Sora looked back up in time for the lights to come back on to see a large balloon-like figure looking down at him, "Baymax?" He shook his head to make sure he wasn't seeing thing but sure enough, it was him. The same robot friend he met in San Fransokyo. Or one of him at least. He wondered, "How are you here?"
"I was alerted to the need for medical attention when you said, 'Ow.'" The robot of Big Hero 6 answered.
"No, I mean..." He shook his head. He wasn't sure how to ask him how did he ended up on another world without breaking the World Order. Were those cracks summons? Or did he unintentionally just drag a random friend from another world? Donald was going to kill him.
"On a scale of one to ten, how to rate your pain?" The healthcare companion asked him as his chest showed him a picture of one being minor pain to ten being a major injury.
"Baymax. I'll be alright, I just need a minute or a potion." Sora tried to reassure him as tired to get back up.
"I will scan you now," Baymax stared at his injured friend.
"There's really no need," The teenager tried to reassure the robot.
"Scan complete."
"Of course," Sora moaned.
"You have multiple bruises on your body, possibly as a result of a recent fight," Baymax blinked, "Sora... have you been in a fight recently?"
"Yes, you know, fighting Heartless, and all of that." Sora groaned before his eyes lit up, "Wait, do you still have that healing spray?"
In response, Baymax lifted a finger at Sora and sprayed him with a familiar liquid. The same kind of liquid that comes from potions. Sora immediately felt recovered as he stood back up. He sighed, "Thank you, Baymax." He turned to the robot, "But seriously, how'd you get here?"
"I was alerted to the need for medical attention when you said-" The robot repeated.
"No, I mean how are you here?" Sora decided to rip off the band-aid as he sighed, "You're not in San Fransokyo anymore. You're... somewhere far away from your home."
Baymax blinked as he observed the museum around them. As he finally turned to the sign that read, 'Arkham Intense Treatment.' "You appear to be correct. There is no information of this Arkham in my healthcare database of all of San Fransokyo."
"That's because we're on another world, far from either yours or mine," Sora revealed as he could already hear Donald yelling at him.
"There is no evidence that intelligent life could exist outside of our solar system," Baymax revealed.
"There hasn't been a solar system for eons," He sighed, "It's just an optical illusion of what people see that makes people think that their world is all that matters. It was my job to protect those worlds from the Heartless like yours. I figured with Xehanort gone for good, and all my friends safe, I just needed to find a way home but clearly that's not the case." He rubbed his head, "I am so dead."
"Your wounds have been healed," Baymax countered, "None of them were fatal even if they were untreated."
"No, I'm not supposed to talk about this. No one should know that I'm from another world. It's a standard rule," Sora revealed before shaking his head, "Except here apparently! On this world, it's common knowledge and now this Brainiac guy is using the Heartless to invade it!"
He collapsed on the floor as he muttered to himself, "I don't know how I'm going to fix this on my own. Or send you home for that matter."
Baymax walked over to him, "You appear to be stressed."
"And anxious and worried," Sora sighed," This world is full of great heroes who are being taken advantage of. And I'm not sure how to free them."
The robot blinked before he stated, "There are many ways to combat stress. Such as avoiding things like news and surrounding yourself with friends and/or loved ones."
"I know," Sora nodded not at all attempting to leave the ground, "But the only one I actually know around here is you, which I don't even know how I did it..." He then wondered, "What were you doing before coming here?"
"Hiro was catching up with the original Baymax while I was finishing recharging..." Baymax answered. Sora's eyes lit up. Well, guess this answers which Baymax he was speaking to. The healthcare robot continued, "That's when I noticed an anomaly in Hiro's room, I was attempting to scan if it was harmful when it dragged me in."
Sora lifted his head for a moment, "How long ago was this?"
Baymax lifted a finger, "Approximately 1.5 hours ago."
"About the same time, I escaped the Final World and came to this one," Sora groaned before dropping his head back on the ground, "Great... so that's my fault now..."
Suddenly, his phone started ringing, as Baymax looked down to his Phone, "Your phone would appear to be ringing..."
"Really?!" Sora brightened up as he dug out his phone, "Oh! I was so worried it was busted when I couldn't contact my friends!" He then hit the answer button, "Maybe it's Riku or the King! Maybe they know a way they can help out!"
Hoping either one would show up on screen, he was instead greeted by a strange symbol of a green-faced woman with white eyes, "Hello? Are you getting this?"
Sora blinked in confusion. This was the King or Riku. He didn't recognize the voice either. Sora repeated, "Hello?"
"Are you the boy who has been helping the people of Metropolis?" The caller asked him, "The one who helped the Flash?"
"This is him speaking..." Sora was still puzzled about who he was speaking to.
"Oh, thankGod!" The caller sighed in relief before telling him, "Sorry for hacking your phone, but when you attempted several calls in the Hall of Justice, I figured this was my only chance to contact you. My name is Oracle."
"I'm Sora," The Keyblade Wielder introduced himself, "How did you...?"
"...know about how you were hiding out in the headquarters of the Justice League and everything you've done up to this point?" She assumed as she gave a light chuckle, "Word travel's fast and I've always been good with technology. I used old security footage to trace back your steps of where you originated. When you made you're attempted calls, your number kept popping up, I was able to piggyback to calling you. I'm not sure how you managed to find a way to fight off Brainiac's army when everyone else has barely made a dent."
"You mean the Heartless and Nobodies?" Sora assumed, "I've been dealing with them for years but I never heard of a Brainiac until now."
"Then you might be our best shot in taking back our world from these things," Oracle replied, "Is Flash still with you? I seemed to have lost track of you for a moment when you entered Batman's museum."
Sora shook his head, "No, Batman ambushed us. Flash sacrificed himself to save me. Batman took him to Brainiac."
"Damn it!" Oracle cussed as Baymax walked up to Sora, "Sorry, after everything that's happened, I was hoping for some good news."
"What has happened? Who is this Brainiac?" Sora tilted his head, "What does he even want?"
"Unclear. His ship showed up over three weeks ago," The caller answered, "The League went off to face Brainiac, but not long after, Brainiac sent his monsters to our world either turning them into monsters or killing everyone in Metropolis. What's even worse, he seems to have complete control over Green Lantern and Batman. And now he has Flash. And I can only assume the worst for Superman and Wonder Woman. No one has any luck in stopping him."
Sora frowned at this news, as he stated, "Look. I want to help. I don't know Brainiac but I do know the Heartless and Nobodies. My weapon is the only thing that can stop them."
"I believe you and word has reached the ears of the resistance within Metroplios, and they believe you can help as well," She reassured him, "But first, I have to know, how do you know these things. I doubt you've been sleeping within the Hall for over three weeks while this was going on just to show up now."
"Well, for starters," Sora glanced between Baymax and his phone before confession, "I'm not from your world."
"Oh, so you're an alien? Like Superman?" Oracle assumed.
"No, I'm human... it's..." He tried to explain, "It's complicated. Long story. But I wanna help. It's my job. There are others, like me, who fight the darkness. We're kinda like the Green Lantern Corps that I've been hearing about."
"Interesting... I'd love to hear the full story..." She admitted, "But first, we need to get you out of there. Before Batman or Lantern find you again." After a moment, the gates opened up around Baymax and Sora, "There. I disabled the security within the museum. You should be able to leave now. I'm contacting the head of the resistance, and trying to get you to a place to meet. Was the Hall safe when you left it?"
"Honestly, I didn't know about this Brainiac and the invasion until after I left the Hall of Justice," He admitted, "I left through another exit so I wouldn't bother the security."
"Good. That might be a good place to hold up any survivors and plan a counterattack on Brainiac." Oracle replied, "I'll have you meet her there. I'll also request backup to come to get you there in one piece. I'll contact you again when I hear a response. Until then, try to get as close to the Hall as careful not to get caught as you can"
"Great! I'll meet her there," Sora smiled before his eyes widened as he remembered something, "Oh before Batman took Flash, he told me something. He told me to find Diana. I think Wonder Woman might still be okay."
"Are you certain?"
"Yeah," He nodded.
"That's great! I'll try reaching her through the Justice League coms." He could hear Oracle brighten up, "You may not know it yet, but you may have actually given us a chance to stop this monster!" Sora chuckled at that. He was glad to give them some hope. She then told him, "I'll call you again when I get someone until then, stay safe!"
With that, the call ended. Sora sighed to himself, "Well, it may not have been Riku or the King, but at least she seems like a friend."
Baymax stated, "Your mood seems to have improved."
"You bet it has," Sora smiled, "Maybe with this Oracle's help, I can meet up with Wonder Woman and the resistance and figure out how to fix this and send us both home and save this world!"
"You two mention that people are hurting, I wish to help them as a healthcarecompanion." The superhero robot stated, "And you are still my patient, I wish to help you as well."
"Well, beats walking to the Hall alone," Sora smiled as he gestured to the exit, "Come on! We've gotta hurry!" He then ran right to the exit, which he seemed to forget that he already locked up earlier, and slammed right into the door causing him to fall back to the ground, "Oooooooowwwww..."
Baymax looked back down to him, "You have hit the door." The cart appeared on his chest, "On a scale of one to ten, how do you rate your pain?"
Sora only groaned in response...
Meanwhile, Wonder Woman frowned as he stared at the Skull ship, the majority of the League was under Brainiac's control. She hadn't seen Flash since she told them they should start evacuating civilians. She didn't know how she was going to reach her friends. But she had to, it was their only chance if they were going to stop Brainiac.
Just then, the Justice League communication turned on. Thinking it was Flash, she quickly answered, "Flash! Are you alright?"
"Diana. It's me."
"Oh, Barabra," She recalled Batman's former female protege, "Sorry, I thought..."
"I know, and I have news good and bad," Oarale told her.
"Let's start with the bad," Diana walked over to the side to focus on the call.
"Batman recaptured Flash," The Princess of the Amazons' heart ached when she heard that. Now, she was the only one left. "But someone tried to help him. Someone who knows the monsters Brainiac is using and did manage to escape both Lantern and Batman's hands.
Her eyes lit up, before asking, "Who is this person?"
Underneath the Hall of Justice, the portal that Sora had entered was still open and remained inactive... that was until Yozora leaped out of it. His eyes narrowed with determination, "I will save you, Sora..."
Aaaaaand Yozora's back to cause further problems, but we've got a special appearance in this chapter by Oracle! Not only that, but Baymax is here as well.
