Thanks for letting me know, to clarify, his guild mark is on his shoulder, not his shoulder blade. i dont entirely know the human body even though im almost an adult, so sorry bout that. now on too the story!

chapter 3

To prove himself! Link vs Erza

Early that morning Link is in the guilds kitchen, helping Mira with cooking, thinking it was a good thing to pass the time with while he waited for Erza to arrive.

"Here Mira, these are a few ingredients from hyrule. I thought they could add a little something new to the cooking." Link hands Mira a couple of hearty radishes and truffles before going back to chopping up various vegetables

"Thanks Link! your such a big help, and you only joined yesterday!" Mira begins to dice them up and sauté them. "Link... you know you dont have anything to prove right? if Natsu asked you to join the guild, you deserve it. were all a little worried that you'll hurt yourself fighting Erza"

"I.. I know Mira.. i guess i just want to make sure im not rusty... and I'm always used to proving myself in everything i do. But i also wanted to do this because though i may have gotten here only yesterday... I think I'm drawn to Erza... so i wanna see if she'll agree to a bet I have in mind. sorry if i rambled"

"its fine Link! now tell me this bet,the guild will want to know, and i want to make sure you dont kill yourself by offering it. Ive known Erza forever so i'll know if it'll slide" Mira chuckles to herself as we finish up cooking.

"O.k heres what i want it to be... I was hoping to Bet with Erza that If I win I--"

Link is cut off as the doors to the guild open. "Where's Link!? I thought we said 7 Am, he's Late!" We hear Erza yell from outside the kitchen, Links Ears twitching, picking up every tone and tamber in her voice.

"Sounds like she's ready... is it normal for me to now be scared somehow?" Link sweat drops as he he feels a touch of fear deep in his core, seeming to sense that Erza is going to go all out.

"Its fine Link, she wont kill you... slowly" Mira mutters that last part, excited for the battle. Link sighs pretending he didnt here the last part. " Well, lets get going"

Link opens the door to the kitchen, with a slice of Strawberry cake in hand. "Im right here Titania, and i hear you like cake, so i thought i would treat you before the fight.

"Thanks, I'll make sure to have it after i win" Erza smiles and pulls link outside the guild hall. "Natsu and Gray destroy the guild enough, im not going to ruin it more. so were doing this outside. now ready your blade"

Erza Draws her sword and gets into a ready stance.

Link himself smiles and snaps his fingers, Requiping out of his hylian tunic and into the champions tunic. he then draws his sword and readys his shield. "before we start mind if we make this more interesting?"

Erza confused by his request reluctantly nods. "what do you have in mind?"

"A bet. if you win, you get whatever you want from me, a weapon, armor anything. but if i win... i get to take you out on a date" Link smiles teasingly as Erzas face turns crimson red.

"HAHAHAHA" Natsu laughs at links request, before the whole guild joins him jn his laughter, Erza still a blushing mess trying to recover from the shock and sudden forwardness of his request.

"Dang Link! i thouught you were the reasonable type, i didnt know you were that forward!" Natsu says to link still laughing. Erza, now recovered from the shock glares at natsu and the guild and they all immediately shut up

"Link... that was suprising. but yes, ill take you up on your bet, mainly because i dont plan on losing."

With those words uttered out of her mouth, Erza rushes forward to link, aiming horizontally at his chest. Link blocks with is shield just in time to avoid the strike.

"Wow Erz, warn me next time" Link chuckles as he struggles to keep her sword at bay, mildly suprised at her strength.

Eventually Link knocks her shield away and goes in for his own strike, infused with a spell.

"Naborises Rage!" Link yells as his royal broad swords comes down and a thunderous crackle of lightly covers his blade, a magic circle with the symbol of vah Naboris appearing as he does so.

Luckily Erza jumped out of the way, but is *shocked* at the strength of the blow, a tiny crater formed in the ground. "Wow... if you didnt just join i would let you In the S class trials. but enough of that, if your going to use spells, so shall I. Requip!"

Erza requips into a red armor, that puts her hair into pigtails. " Flame empress Armour" Erza declares as she then envelops her blade in fire and charges at link.

Link dodges the blow and requips into a differnet suit of armour. "I can do that to you know." Link smiles and he requips, a golden light enveloping him

Daruks theme begins to play

Link is now in a brown suit of armour, with some red highlights at where his elbows and knees are. there is a sort of mask on the front of the helmet allowing him to see. he then summons the Boulder breaker, gifted to him by the gorons, and he holds it with one hand.

"This is my flame Breaker Armour, grants me the ability to barely break a sweat in the heat of a volcano, and greatly reduses fire damage. so were still an even match" Link smiles as he describes his new suit of armour, before guesturing for Erza to come at him

Erza obliges and charges Link and they engage in many blows, there weapons issuing a loud clang around the town of fiore. Link is unable to land a hit with his Boulder Breaker do to the now reduced speed ot gives him.

"Crap i should have thought this threw" he chuckles as he is dealt blow after blow from Erzas Blade, wincing slightly as it begins to pierce threw the armour.

he Jumps back and requips back into his champions tunic and cracks his neck. "Sorry if that seemed unfair, still trying to work out the kinks with using that one handed. but now its my turn. Revalis gale!"

Link shoots upward in a gust of wind before requiping a bow and several arrows. "Bullet time" Link yells as he draws back the bow and fuses bomb flowers to the tip.

"Exploding arrow barrage!" Link crys out as he begins to launch volley after volley of arrows at Erza, she mostly deflecting all of them, but the ones that make contact leave slight burn marks on her.

Link lands after his attack is finished and runs at Erza sword now drawn. "Now Spin attack!" Link crys as he sddenly stops and spins in a rapid circle cutting a shallow wound across Erzas chest.

there fight would continue in a fashion simmilar to this, with both of them requiping different weapons and armour as they exchange blows.

After sometime they both are running low on magic, So to end the fight Erza channels the rest of her magic into a final attack.

"Requip, Heaveans wheel! 1000 blades!"

changes into her Heavens wheels armour, a simple armour set, that grants her the ability to pull swords out her pocket dimension and fling them at her opponent.

Swords begin to fly towards link and he is forced to block with his shield.

'Links thoughts' "Crap, i need to find an opening. if i can find one, i can end this, and finally prove myself to people that dont know my reputation... oh crap do i have social anxiety?" a stray thought enters Links Brain before he shakes it off and focuses on her attacks. "Thats it!"

Erza POV

'Come on Link, just give up and we can both rest, i dont want to hurt you any further, you are a guildmate.' Erza thought as her blades kept flying at him.

suddenly she sees him deflect on of her blades with the shield, then he dissapears?

'where did he go!?' Erza thought in panic as she tried to process what just happened. Then she heard Link utter two words before she was immobilized

"Flurry rush!" Link cried as his blade suddenly appeared at her throat, just slightly digging into the skin, but not enough to draw blood.

Link Pov

"wha--" Erza began to say before Link interupted her

"I have you immobilized, if you move you would die, do you yield?" Link asks, sword still at her thoat

"y--Yes.. i yield" Erza puts her hands up and drops her blades, accepting defeat. the entire guild is in shock and disbelief, before they errupt in cheers.

Link flashes a smile to Erza. "sorry for bringing out that move on you, i wanted the fight to end, i was getting tired." Link chuckles before guiding her inside.

"what was that move anyway?" Erza asks as she goes to the bar with him, and starts to eat the cake he made, moaning happily as she savors the taste of it. "also this cake is amazing"

Link chuckles again "glad you like it. and its less of a move more of a technique i was taught. when you dodge an opponent at just the right time, it gives an opening for an attack, if you channel your magic you can substantially increase your speed and use that opening to unleash a flurry of blows, hense its name the flurry rush. if you want i can teach you. now to hold up your end of the bet, wanna go to dinner after the S Class trials are over?"

Erza blushes her normal stoic appearance washing away remembering there deal and nods. "yah... sure"

"oh also here, to help with the wounds." Link hands her a bottle with a pink liquid inside. "this is a hearty elixir, it heals all wounds no matter how severe. i got my limbs back at times thanks to this"

Link smiles before going into his own food. "and great fight Erz. i knew i was going to like you." with that Link walks off, to leave Erza to process what he just said.

Hey guys! hope you enjoyed the chapter, made it a bit longer than in the past. next chapter will be the start of the S Class trials, and yes, link will be in it, but i wont reveal how.

also i am a few arcs past the S Class trials, so dialog wont be exact, so dont judge. see you guys next time!
