Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha or any characters associated with the wonderful and original Rumiko Takahashi.

Authors Note: I wrote this story years ago and never finished it. But now I will do so on this new account. This is my own OC, the woman I WISH Sesshomaru had been with instead of Rin in Yashahime. I'm trying to blend her in with the story as much as possible. Reviews and other ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Meet your Arhat, then Slay your Arhat, Meet your Parents, then Slay your Parents, know this and the path to righteousness will be yours.

Chapter 1: Meet the Arhat

Can you imagine a moment when demons weren't so human? When they could behave as demons and no one judged them as savages?

A time when demons worked to survive the next era rather than fight over irrelevant details in each other's ways?

Where tolerance was preached rather than holiness.

An age when a demon prince considered being a businessman instead of his father's son. A war dog.

Can you imagine a place where demons and yokai could bond over survival, and be entertained by human's petty wars. When there was a clear distinction between the two. Human and Demon.

The Western Lands were our last chance. For demons to exist outside of human society and still maintain their own traditions. Blood communions and hunting rituals, mating vows and tribal markings all masked behind the glow of our glorious moonlight.

Of course it wasn't a group of demons that thought of this idea, it was one. A messiah in her own right.

This is the tale of that woman, and her incredible fight to save all yokai species before they were wiped out by human's puritanical ways.

With every meeting of the messiah, there comes a slaying. In meeting your parents, there comes a time when you must slay them as well.

Meet the Arhat, Rhema the Compassionate, Queen of Beasts.

After all, only a Bitch can ever truly understand a Beast.

Princess Beast

"The cats are going to take over the world!"

"Of course they are Puppy."

"They're planning a major revolt! They're headed this way!"

"Ridiculous."

"They've got subordinates hiding in human villages!"

"Right….."

"And consorts of all the species of felines!"

"They are not organized, Rhema…."

"But…"

"Enough."

Sesshomaru stared at his mate in silent wonder. Together the two sat under a tree away from the human village they currently rested outside of, their demeanors a major difference from their usual attire. The dog demon prince frowned as he looked down at his simple beggar's clothes he wore when he wanted to spend time with her in peace, the rain hat on his head covering his ears and markings. He was unable to fight this way. A pale hand gripped the top of the Nintojo lightly as he considered her words, the cats in this village were ridiculous, almost every resident owned one.

Next to him the woman known as Rhema the Compassionate angrily wrote words in the journal resting in her lap, documenting every superior cat she saw as she passed through the village earlier with her mate in tow.

Brown hands gripped the reed pen in her hands like a vice. Her own trousers were already inked, spotted from the speed she kept using to reink the end of her writing tool. The jackal growled low to herself as she became lost in thought. Her words were being ignored as usual. Better to write them out than explode, again.

"How could a simple cat get all the way to the Far East?"

"They have their subordinates scout the areas, then they follow with their armies."

Sesshomaru glanced over at Rhema, her cloak covering her face up to her eyes. His frown deepened, she was receding. Holding out a hand to her suddenly, she looked up at him as he lightly took the book from her and placed it in his own lap, the hand that held the Nintojo free as he placed the staff behind him. Lifting his rainhat, a pair of gold eyes stared at her words in the journal, only a moment passing before he silently asked for her reed pen, he had an idea for a picture. She gave it to him without question.

"The cats are coming, they already got my homeland, I don't want them to take yours too."

"Hn."

Her accent was thicker with her next words, she was becoming agitated. "What can we do to keep them from taking over the world?"

He didn't answer immediately, his focus completely on his task at hand as he wordlessly moved his hand around the page, the idea in his mind becoming realer with each stroke of his art.

"I just wish canines could have the same idea and use it for themselves."

"Our people don't think about organization."

"Or how to maximize on differences."

"Hn." A sharp stroke on the paper made the woman turn and look at Sesshomaru's work so far, it seemed almost like he was drawing a castle on the page. "Hey Sess?"

"Hn?"

"What does a castle have to do with cats?"

"Our fortress."

She snorted, "Don't you mean Your fortress?"

"You are my mate, what is ours is ours." He glanced at her for a moment, "Is that not what I vowed?"

"Yea, your mate, not your wife."

"Both will be true soon enough."

He didn't stop in his drawing, even as Rhema's face turned red, the color shining over her brown skin. "I just want to save canines."

"I have an idea."

"What?"

"A civilization."

"For humans?"

"For Demons."

Finally done with his drawing, Sesshomaru tossed the book back to Rhema before laying flat on his back, his head resting on the roots of the tree. And as Rhema glanced at his work, a smile slowly creeped up over her face as she realized what he'd done.

He always knew just how to say so much with so little. The castle he had drawn was only a silhouette, the surrounding huts and housing making a tiny village on the page next to her writing. "A civilization?"

"A place for demons to learn how to adapt to the ever growing human world."

"Starting at the fortress?"

"And expanding out around the whole island."

"But how do we," she was about to begin a list of questions, he knew, which is why silence reached his ears when he suddenly lifted up and kissed her on the lips before she could kill him with her words "You just kissed me…"

"You needed one."

A second blush reached her face. He loved getting reactions out of her.

And she loved retaliation. Quicker than he could react, the demoness jumped on top of the demon prince, her cloak flying off her head as she tackled him and began to leave a multitude of kisses along Sesshomaru's face and neck. The demon prince growled playfully and turned the tides around, spinning her onto her own back and pressing his fanged lips against hers again and again.

And that was the beginning. Overhead a brown, four eyed owl gave one hoo and flew back to its master, the secrets of the day caught and waiting for release.

Author's Note: Remember this is canon and so I will do my best to get everything back to the original anime. If only Sesshomaru had a bitch instead of a human woman…we can only dream.
