Autumn season in New York as the leaves on the trees started to turn red and fall off, Fall also signals the holiday of Halloween,which mean trick-or-treating,attending Halloween costume parties, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, Halloween themed games, playing pranks, visiting haunted attractions, telling scary stories, and watching horror or Halloween-themed films. Most people absolutely loved Halloween including the resident superhero of Queens Ghost Spider aka Gwendolyn Stacy, to recap her life and career, after being bitten by a genetically-engineered spider, Gwen was granted arachnid-like super-powers, and started a little hobby as a crimefighter called Spider Woman, before she transitioned to Ghost Spider She was given a costume and a set of Web-Shooters by Janet van Dyne.
Gwen spent most of her early adventures focused on exploiting and maintaining her newfound attention more than helping those in need; however, Gwen's behavior changed after her father expressed he believed Spider-Woman could have easily help people with her powers,unfortunately things turned terribly tragic for Gwen when her best friend Peter Parker desperate to be special like his idol Spider-Woman, conducted an experiment that turned him into a Lizard-like monster. Parker crashed the Prom, where Gwen viciously fought him,following his defeat Peter returned to his human form but, due to the injuries sustained at Gwen's ferocious attacks, he tragicly died, unfortunately with no evidence or link to Peter's transformation, Spider-Woman was blamed by the media for Peter's death and branded a criminal.
Severely haunted by Peter's death, Gwen doubled her efforts to fight crime to redeem herself in the eyes of the law and every one else which is easier said than done but Gwen Stacy isn't a quitter,she'll get on everyone's good graces no matter how long it took, an alarm clock sounded in Gwen Stacy's bedroom making her groan in annoyance as she reached over and hit the snooze button careful not to smash the alarm clock due to her spider strength. Gwen sat up groaning she yawned and stretched her hair was matted and messy Gwen got out of her bed wearing her pajamas and she went down stairs to the kitchen to see her father Captain George Stacy eating breakfast and a plate was made for her.
"Morning Sweetie."George said with a smile as he ate his breakfast Gwen sat down across from him as she ate, "Gwen Halloween is coming up,are you going trick or treating?"George Stacy asked with a teasing smile Gwen gave him a roll of her eyes she knew he was fooling with her but she is 17 she out grew trick or treating "Dad you know I'm too old."Gwen said with a little smile "Yeah i know you're growing up."George Stacy said with a little hint of glumness he thinks that Gwen is growing up a little too fast, she should enjoy being a kid a little bit more.
"Are you going to be chasing after Halloween pranksters?"Gwen asked making George Stacy grumble in annoyance if there's one thing he hates about Halloween is the tp and egging pranksters that always cause mayhem on Halloween night. "I hope not, I'm getting sick of roughing up kids who throw perfectly good eggs at houses, and the toilet paper...such a waste it makes me mad."George said clencing the fork in his fist, Gwen gave him a concerned and amused expression as he was getting worked up over childish things.
"Dad let's just...uh...continue eating ok?"Gwen Stacy said a lot uncomfortable as she and George continued eating their breakfast, just then George Stacy's attention was brought to the tv as a news report was brought up. George turned up the volume and he and Gwen listened as the female newsreporter began speaking "Good morning New York, I'm Gemma Alberts and I'm here with some breaking news from Manhattan,it appears the fall season is off to a rather dreadful start as another haunting murder accured late last night, Reed Olson has the story."Gemma said as it cut to a blonde haired middle aged caucasian man wearing a tan colored suit with a news microphone in his hand, he was standing near an alleyway where the murder happened.
"Well the murder happened right here in Cortlandt Alley approximately 11 PM last night,the victim was 44 year old Scotland Andrews,a robber wanted in the involvement in a 2011 Amstar Gas Station robbery,which let to the untimely deaths of the gas station manager Diego Gomez and Empire State University Professor Montgomery Gallows."Reed Olson said as a little mugshot of a middle aged Caucasian man which was Scotland Andrews was shown on the top left corner of the screen Gwen frowned a little as Scotland looked like a complete scumbag he had a scruffy black beard and wild hair and green and soulless eyes.
Then the screen showed a elderly Latino man which was Diego Gomez and a middle aged African-American man which was Montgomery Gallows, both Diego and Montgomery was smiling in his picture which made their deaths all the more tragic, as they were beloved by friends and family alike,George Stacy remembered that day as well, Scotland wasn't alone he had three other guys with him and it bothered him greatly that robbery ended in a tragic way, it sometimes happens but it still hurt. "I'm here with the witness to the murder, local homeless man,George Ritchards,Mr Ritchards can you describe the perpetrator?"Reed asked a filthy grizzled looking elderly man wearing a coat and hate w "You'd think I was crazy if I told you but this was the most wildest thing I've seen in New York,it was a demon, a flaming pumpkin headed demon,it had wings and a flaming sword and this frightening laugh that put the fear of god in me."George said with excitement.
Reed turned to the camera and spoke with a grave tone "exactly who is this flaming pumpkin headed demon and why did it go after Scotland,these are questions I hope to have answers soon,back to you Gemma."Reed said finishing his report, George and Gwen stared at the tv with utter bafflement and with slight intimation,New York had seen it's share of unnatural happenings,but a flaming pumpkin headed demon was the first thing that crossed the line between unnatural to just plain freakish.
