AN: So, I just started Rewatching Big Bang theory again on Max. I've also started reading some Big Bang theory Fanfiction stories and now I'm about to start writing my first Big Bang theory Fanfiction story and of course it's going to be a Shamy one. It's also gonna be Au too. I hope you guys will give it a chance and I promise to stay true to the Characters or at least try to.
Penny and Bernadette were both hanging around Penny's apartment, watching another episode of Top Model while each of them had a huge glass of wine. Since tonight all the guys are over at Sheldon and Leonard's apartment playing Halo, Penny and Bernadette decided to have a girls' night and catch up. With Penny working at the Cheesecake Factory and Bernadette working, not to mention taking care of two kids, the girls haven't seen each other in a long time. Luckily, Howard's mother volunteered to watch her grandchildren so Bernadette could come over and hang out.
Penny and Bernadette met when Bernadette was working at The Cheesecake Factory, and they became best friends ever since. Penny even set Bernadette up with Howard, mainly because Howard wouldn't leave her alone and Penny just needed someone else to get his attention. Penny never really thought Bernadette would actually fall for the creepy little man, let alone marry him and have kids with him. But as long as it wasn't her who had married him, Penny was happy for the couple.
After the episode ended, Penny picked up the remote and turned off the TV so they could talk and catch up. "So, how's work been going?" she asked as she poured herself another glass of wine. Penny isn't an alcoholic, even though a certain doctor believes she is; she just loves wine...a lot.
Busy, I've been working long hours at the office and by the time I get home, I'm completely exhausted. Bernadette works at a pharmaceutical company as a microbiologist. Over the past two months, Bernadette and her lab team have been handling dangerous or infectious specimens. This has led to several accidents and unintended consequences.
" So, who's been staying home with the kids?" Penny asked as she took a drink of her wine.
" Howie mostly and sometimes they stay with Howie's mom." Bernadette answered as she took a drink of her wine before setting the glass down." Oh did I tell you my cousin Amy will be moving here soon?"
" Nope, this is the first time you have mentioned it. When is she moving out here?" Penny asked as she took a sip of her wine.
" She'll be here in a few days. She's going start working at Caltech."
Penny looks over at Bernadette with little confusion." The same Caltech were your husband and my fiance, along with Sheldon works at?"
" Yup." Bernadette answered.
" Oh, so she'll be working with them then huh?"
" Not necessarily. Even though Amy will be working at the same place. She will be working in a different department." Bernadette answered as she takes another drink of her wine before she poured herself another glass.
" Oh, that's cool. What does Amy do?" Penny knows she's probably asking too many questions but she just wants to know about Bernadette's cousin. Amy sounds interesting.
" Amy has a PhD in Neuroscience."
" So we got another scientist in the group then." Penny said with smile as she took another drink of her wine. Even Penny isn't a scientist like her other friends in the group, she still thinks science is actually pretty cool.
" We should invite Amy to go out with us for drinks, the next time we go out." Bernadette suggested.
Penny nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah, let's do that. Oh, this is so exciting." Penny beamed as she clapped her hands. For a while now it's always just been her and Bernadette in their group of friends. It would be nice to have another female around and to hang out with them.
Meanwhile in Sheldon and Leonard's apartment, after they finished their third round of Halo, which they all beat, they decided to call it quits and put the game away for now. They then sat around and started chatting.
"So it looks like Bernie's cousin will be moving out here in a few days." Howard said, grabbing a beer from the fridge and walking back to the couch.
Sheldon suddenly sighed in defeat." This is just great."
" What's your problem?" Leonard asked
" It's just that we already have enough people in our group. Why do we need another person?"
Howard sighed as he rolled his eyes."Sheldon,Amy is Bernadette's cousin.So she's likely to be around us.I mean,I don't really see what the big deal is."
"The big deal is that we don't know anything about this Amy, and we're just gonna let her into our circle?" Sheldon asked, shaking his head in disbelief. Sheldon never really liked change, because he always liked things to be the same. Even his routine was always the same.
"Dude, you let Penny and Bernadette into our group." Raj said, making a point.
" Well, that's totally different though."
"How's that different?" Raj asked, snorting, as he didn't understand what Sheldon was getting at.
Sheldon sighed exasperatedly as he rolled his eyes."It's different because we've known Bernadette and Penny for years. Not to mention Bernadette is Howard's wife and Penny's fiancé of Leonard. So there was no choice but to accept them into the group."
"Sheldon, I'm sure everything is going to be fine. Besides, Amy might end up hanging out with the girls more often than us. So, trust me; you have nothing to worry about." Leonard said reassuringly to his best friend and roommate.
Sheldon was quiet for a moment as he thought about it and realized that Leonard was right." Well, I suppose you're right. I mean it's not like we're going to see Bernadette's cousin very often anyways." Sheldon shrugged his shoulders slightly.
A moment later the door open when Both Bernadette and Penny walked through the apartment." Hey Howie, are you about ready to go home yet?" She asked as she was ready to go home already and not to mention that she was tired.
Howard nods his head as he stood up and grabbed his cell phone along with his car keys." Good night everyone." He said as he grabs Bernadette's hand and drags her out of the apartment as he closed the door behind them.
"So, what's been going on?" Penny asked with curiosity as she sat down in the chair next to Leonard.
"Oh, Howard just told us that Bernadette's cousin is moving out here, and Sheldon suddenly freaked out about it." Leonard said, chuckling slightly.
Penny snorts a little as she looks over at Sheldon. "Why would you freak about something like that?" She asked, not understanding why Sheldon would freak out. But then again, this is Sheldon, and he gets freaked out by everything. So it really shouldn't surprise her.
" Penny, for awhile now it's always been the six of us and now there's going to be seven us. I'm really not sure how I'm going to really feel about it. Like I told the guys we barely know this Amy Fowler." Sheldon said as he explained to Penny on why he would freak out.
"Oh, sweetie. There's nothing to worry about, I promise. Besides, I think having another female in our circle wouldn't be too bad." Now with Amy around, girl night might be more fun. It's not that Penny doesn't have fun; it's just been her and Bernadette. But with Amy joining them, it shouldn't be too boring. Actually, it might be interesting.
