Episode 6: Red Eyes of Rage
-LID Headquarters, Paradise City-
Ever since Ryuga and Celeste were completely uncovered by LID that afternoon, the Operators searched everywhere among the databases and banks in order to find any possible leads or links to them, as well as security footage to find traces to where they have gone.
Declan and Claude were carefully observing the results. However, every search involving this Duelist turned out empty.
Claude: This is very disappointing, Mr. President. Despite all our best efforts, we are unable to determine the whereabouts of Mystery Duelist, nor any leads to who he is. Maybe he's the same as the Fusion Duelist so they must not be from "here".
Declan remained silent for a bit, closing his eyes and merely pushed on his glasses.
Declan: I wouldn't give up just yet. Let's have a little more patience. Certainly something will turn up soon.
He then opened his eyes again as he looked at the screen that had Ryuga's picture.
Declan: In the meantime, let's issue a little public announcement to our students. Something that will help us find our new friend.
-Paradise City-
Yuya: I'm off, Mom! See you later!
Yuya's Mom, Yoko, is a fairly tall and youthful-looking woman of slender build with green eyes and light skin. She has long blond hair, the front bangs being golden in color. Her hair is tied in a ponytail and sections out as spikes. Her bangs part to the right side and frame her face. She wears an aqua-colored long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans with brown shoes. She also wears silver big-loop earrings, two golden bands on her left wrist, and a small golden necklace hanging under her neck.
Yoko: Take care, Yuya!
Yuya had just left his House and was heading off to You Show Duel School in a happy go lucky fashion.
Yuya: Today feels great! I feel like I could just Duel 10 opponents straight in a row and still want more!
He thought to himself while running with his eyes closed, knowing the direction by instinct. He made a turn around the corner, and then…
BONK!
Yuya: Ow!
Yuya fell backwards, along with the one he collided with.
?: Hey! Watch where you're going!
Yuya recognized that voice and saw laying on the floor was Dipper O'rion.
He's a slim and tall teen with purple hair that has a gold pin in the shape of the Big Dipper asterism, and blue eyes. He wears a zip-up blue and purple jacket over a white long-sleeved shirt, with white pants, olive-colored shoes, and a loose blue belt. On the right side of his jacket is an LID pin. Underneath his hairline is a frame with a star. He's from the Xyz summoning course.
Yuya: Dipper?!
Dipper noticed that it was Yuya that collided with him.
Dipper: You!
Laughter was then heard coming towards them.
?: Hahaha! You two really need to stop running into each other like that!
The boy laughing was Kit Blade.
A slightly below-average height teen with long spiky brown hair and amber eyes. His canines appear to be longer than normal and stick out of his mouth. He wears a dark blue long-sleeved shirt and pants under a sleeveless tan jacket with an orange interior, pinned on the left side of his jacket's collar is the LID badge. He wears brown socks, and burnt-orange and gray shoes. Carrying in his hand over his shoulder is a wooden Katana. He's from the Synchro summoning course.
Dipper: Shut it, Kit!
Dipper and Yuya stood back up as the Entertainment Duelist looked confused.
Yuya: What are you guys doing all the way out here this early?
Dipper: We're waiting on Julia so we can discuss how we can conduct our little search for our Special Duelist.
That caught Yuya's attention.
Yuya: Special Duelist?
Kit: H-Hey! You weren't supposed to say that! It was classified!
Dipper realized the slip up he had made.
Dipper: Eh… oops?
Now Yuya has become really curious now.
Yuya: Who is this Duelist that guys are looking for?
Kit: No way! We're not gonna tell you anything!
Dipper: And even if we do, we don't know anything much about him. All we know is that he has Pendulum cards just like you and Mr. Declan.
The wind blew in the seconds of silence as Yuya looked blankly while Kit was shocked that Dipper slipped up again. Yuya then processed what Dipper said.
Yuya: What?! There's someone else that has Pendulum cards?!
Kit face palmed at this.
Kit: Nice going, doofus!
Yuya then passed them as he started running.
Yuya: I've gotta tell the others, thank you guys!
Dipper and Kit watched Yuya leave. The Synchro user then glared at his colleague.
Kit: Julia is going to kill us for this.
Dipper laughed nervously as he rubbed his head.
-You Show Duel School, Paradise City-
Yuya arrived at You Show Duel School and told everyone about what he heard from Dipper, but…
Yuya: Wait! You guys already know?!
Yuya was shocked as he was standing in the living room of the School. Skip, Gong, Zuzu, and Sora, along with Nate Frederick and Allie were there, and they already knew all about what Yuya told them.
Zuzu: We heard it from Sylvio yesterday. We found him and his pals beaten down in the alley. Apparently they fought this Duelist who could Pendulum Summon!
Yuya calmed himself down, but he was still surprised.
Yuya: I'm surprised that there's someone else that has Pendulum cards besides me and Declan. I mean, Declan tried to make his own Pendulum cards and they didn't work out so well.
Yuya recalled how during his Duel with Declan, his Pendulum cards, D/D Savant Galilei, and D/D Savant Kepler malfunctioned and destroyed his two D/D/D Doom King Armageddon.
Sora was licking his lollipop before taking it out.
Sora: I wouldn't be surprised if the Leo Corporation will try to find this Duelist.
Hearing that, Yuya remembered what else Dipper and Kit said.
Yuya: Sora is right you guys! The Leo Corporation is even sending students to look for this Duelist! Dipper, Kit and Julia included!
That surprised everyone in the room.
Gong: Really?
Yuya: Yeah.
The room was silent for a moment, but Skip seemed to be deep in thought until he stood up from his seat.
Skip: Alright, if the Leo Corporation is searching for this Duelist that can Pendulum summon, then we must find them before they do!
The kids were surprised at Skips declaration.
Zuzu: Wow. Really Dad?
Skip: Yeah! And once we find them, we can have them join our School! With another Pendulum Duelist, we'll have a greater chance at winning the Arc League Championship!
Skip was clearly on fire for this, but the kids were unimpressed.
Zuzu: Really, Dad?
Yuya: I agree with Skip, though.
Zuzu: Yuya?
Zuzu was surprised as she and everyone turned to Yuya.
Yuya: If there is someone that can Pendulum Summon, then I really want to meet this guy!
His friends smile at this. Previously, he would have felt really bummed that someone other than him can Pendulum Summon, but now he's eager to meet them.
Gong: If that's the case, then Gong will assist Yuya in finding this Duelist!
Sora: I'll come too. I'd like to face another Pendulum user in a Duel.
Allie: We'll help too!
Tate: You can count on us as well!
Frederick: Yeah!
Yuya was happy that his friends wanted to find this Pendulum Duelist with him.
Yuya: Thank you, guys. We'll start when School is over!
Everyone Yeah!
-Paradise City-
At every corner of the City, there were LID students who were searching every nook and cranny for the Duelist that could Pendulum Summon, having an image of the Duelist on their Duel Disks.
Unknown to them, said Duelist was sulking in the shadows of an alleyway while wearing a cloak.
Ryuga: I feel ridiculous wearing this.
His Dragons then materialized besides him.
Red-Eyes: It's not like you have any other choice, kid.
White Night: Your Duel the other day was apparently caught by the Leo Corporation. And now for some reason they're after you.
Ryuga: It's not my fault!
He yelled as quietly as he could.
Blue-Eyes: You should be grateful that Celeste came to warn us.
She started to remember when Celeste came to see Ryuga that morning.
-Flashback-
Early in the morning, Ryuga came out of the apartment he was renting, right when Celeste came to see him.
Ryuga: Celeste? What are you doing out here so early in the morning?
Celeste: Let's just say I came to give you this.
She handed Ryuga a cloak, similar to the one she's currently wearing.
Ryuga: A cloak? Why are you giving me this?
Celeste: Apparently, the Leo Corporation put a bounty on our heads for some reason.
Now that's something Ryuga didn't expect to hear.
Ryuga: Come again?
Celeste: The Duel yesterday you had with Sylvio was caught on camera. While I don't know why they're after me, your's must be because you have Pendulum cards.
Ryuga: The Leo Corporation is interested in my Pendulum cards?
Celeste nodded at him.
Celeste: They sent LID students after us, so you better watch your back!
She flashed a wink at him before turning around and started leaving.
Ryuga: H-Hey, wait! You can't just leave like that! What about you?
Celeste: No worries! Just be more concerned about yourself!
-End of Flashback-
Ryuga: I nearly got caught 3 times by them.
Ryuga remembered that no matter where he goes, LID students kept finding him and chasing him. He hid from them behind trees, bushes, even hiding inside a dumpster!
Blue-Eyes: You'd better take a shower soon.
Ryuga sighed at that since he stinks now.
LID Student: Hey! I see someone suspicious over there!
Ryuga noticed 3 LID students that noticed him.
Ryuga: Oh great!
Red-Eyes: Don't just stand there! Run!
With that, Ryuga started running again with the LID students chasing after him.
-Park, Paradise City-
At the park, Zuzu was watching over the kids as they were playing around. Along with the kids, she and Sora split up with Yuya and Gong to search for the mysterious Pendulum user. But despite trying their best searching, they couldn't find any clue to where that Duelist was, so they came to the park to rest. Well, the kids went to play, while Sora…
Sora: I think I can leave the kids up to you, Zuzu.
Sora stood up from the bench where he and Zuzu were sitting.
Zuzu: Where are you going?
Sora: I'll try to find some clues of our Pendulum Duelist.
With that he stuck a lollipop in his mouth and left. Zuzu smiled as she knew that Sora will always be Sora. She then checked the hour in her Duel Disk.
Zuzu: Looks like it's time for us to go back.
She stood up from her bench and addressed the kids.
Zuzu: Alright everyone, time to get home!
Tate and Allie came to Zuzu, although Frederick wasn't eager.
Frederick: Ah. And I was winning!
Allie: No you weren't!
?: No one's going anywhere!
Zuzu and the kids turned around, and the kids were surprised to see the same thugs that assaulted them a few days ago.
Tate: Ah! It's the guys that tried to kidnap me and the others!
Zuzu: What?!
Now Zuzu was really surprised as the thugs approached them.
After escaping the LID students for the fifth time, Ryuga arrived at the park now that he was in the clear for sure. He was currently hiding inside a grove.
Ryuga: Huff! Huff! They chased after me 5 times, but now I finally lost them. Good all that trying I did with Grampa paid off!
His Dragons reappeared behind him as Red-Eyes snickered.
Red-Eyes: That's why we follow you. If you were a wimp we'd turn tail and leave you! Hahaha!
This made Blue-Eyes upset as she slammed her tail on the Black Dragon's head.
Red-Eyes: Ow!
Blue-Eyes: Grrr! It doesn't matter how Ryuga is! I can't believe you have the nerve to say those things!
Red-Eyes got up and started arguing with Blue-Eyes. Ryuga sweatdropped at this while White Night shook her head in annoyance at their childish arguments.
Meanwhile, Bahamut was observing his surroundings. He sniffed the air and his face frowned as he sensed something.
Bahamut: There's something unusual happening over there.
Ryuga: Huh?
This caught the attention of Ryuga and the three Dragons.
Zuzu: Let go!
Zuzu tried to free herself from the thugs that's restraining her to no avail. The other 3 were holding the 3 kids, with Frederick crying.
Frederick: Whaaaahahaaaah!
?: Well done, boys. We got 4 hostages and no witnesses in sight!
A large person came out approaching the gang holding the kids hostage.
He was a tall and muscular young man. He wears a pair of blue pants and a red sash on his abdomen, with a purple shirt with thick pauldrons along with a blue jacket, and he's also wearing steel bracers and heavy geta.
Zuzu: Let me guess… you're the boss of these bozos.
Thug 1: Hey!
The big guy laughed at that before introducing himself to Zuzu.
Grizzlepike: The name's Grizzlepike! Although you already have heard about me from your friend Gong?
Zuzu did hear from him.
Tate: Does Gong know him, Zuzu?
Zuzu: Yeah. He was once a student at the Strong Dojo, but he didn't respect the Dojo's teachings, so he left in what Gong described as disgraceful.
She recalled everything Gong told her about Grizzlepike. She then angrily turned to said person.
Zuzu: What do you want from us?!
Grizzlepike: Oh don't worry, you and the kids are just bait!
Zuzu: Bait for what?
Grizzlepike: For Yuya of course!
Zuzu gasped when she heard that, knowing that they're really after Yuya.
Zuzu: What do you want to do with Yuya, and why?!
Grizzlepike: After his humiliating defeat against Yuya, the Sledgehammer stepped down as Champion and suddenly left.
He remembers angrily how Yuya defeated the Sledgehammer with Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, and his acquired Pendulum Summon.
Grizzlepike: So, once Yuya comes to try and rescue you, we'll teach him a lesson for what he did to the champ!
Zuzu was furious that he would use her and the kids just to get to Yuya.
Zuzu: Grrr. You're the worst!
Grizzlepike only chuckled at that as he went to grab Zuzu.
But then suddenly, a flurry of cards came out of nowhere. One of them slashed Grizzlepike's hand before it could grab Zuzu.
Grizzlepike: Aah! What the?!
The cards also struck the arms of the goons, causing them to let go of their hostages. Zuzu quickly acted and gathered the kids before putting a distance between them.
Meanwhile, Grizzlepike and his goons were at the place where they had been struck while wondering who attacked them.
Grizzlepike: Who did that?! Show yourself!
As if on cue, a cloaked figure jumped out of the bushes and landed between the You Show students and the thugs. He grabbed the cards he threw at the thugs and put them back in his Duel Disk.
Grizzlepike: Tch! I don't know who you are, but no one does that to me and gets away with it! I'll crush you so hard you'll never pick up a deck again!
He put on his black Duel Disk, which has a purple blade.
Cloaked Guy: If you're asking for a Duel then you'll get one!
The cloaked figure, who is actually Ryuga, was about to put on his Duel Disk until Red-Eyes stopped him.
Red-Eyes: Ryuga, wait!
Ryuga: Red-Eyes?
Red-Eyes: Right now, you can't afford to Duel with your usual Deck. Let me do it! I want a piece of that guy! (Roar)...!
Red-Eyes roared at Grizzlepike, though the man couldn't hear him because he doesn't have Ryuga's gift. Meanwhile, Ryuga thought about it and knew Red-Eyes was right, so he switched his Deck with the one that works with Red-Eyes.
Ryuga: Alright! I'm ready!
The thugs were eager to see their boss beat down this mysterious cloaked figure, while Zuzu and the kids watched in worry.
Grizzlepike/Ryuga: Let 's Duel!
Grizzlepike: 4000 LP
Ryuga: 4000 LP
Grizzlepike: I'll take the first move! I draw!
He drew the card with such force that Ryuga felt that he was hit by a wind. He held his cloak to make sure it didn't blow away and reveal his cover.
Grizzlepike: I now summon Granite Battleguard!
Appearing on the field was a blue skinned Ogre wielding a thick spiked club.
ATK: 1000
Level 3
Ryuga: Battleguard, huh?
Grizzlepike: And thanks to its special ability, I can summon another Battleguard! Boulder Battleguard!
Appearing next to Granite Battleguard was a big bellied but muscled orange Ogre, with a blue ripped tunic and wielding a spiked mace.
ATK: 1200
Level 4
Zuzu: He's got 2 Monsters out!
Zuzu looked worriedly at the mysterious Duelist.
Zuzu: (I better he can make this. From what Gong told me about Grizzlepike, he better be careful.)
Grizzlepike: I put one card face down and end my turn!
Grizzlepike's hand: 3
Set card: 1
Grizzlepike: Now let's see what you got!
Ryuga: You asked for it. I draw! And I'll start by summoning my Black Dragon's Chick!
A red egg appeared, which suddenly began to hatch and the hatchling broke out, revealing a newborn Red-Eyes.
Black Dragon's Chick: (Chirp)...!
ATK: 800
Level 1
Grizzlepike then started to laugh when he saw that Monster.
Grizzlepike: (Laughs)...! You gotta be kidding me! You brought a baby Dragon to face my brutes?
Ryuga remained calm however as he made his next move.
Ryuga: You shouldn't underestimate this baby, because thanks to his special ability, by Tributing him, I can summon his grown up form from my hand!
Black Dragon's Chick vanished.
Ryuga: Now appear! Red-Eyes Black Dragon!
Appearing on the field was Red-Eyes, and was ready to battle.
ATK: 2400
Level 7
Zuzu and the kids were awed by this move.
Zuzu: He summoned a high Level Monster just like that?
Frederick: That Dragon looks scary, but awesome!
Grizzlepike, however, wasn't faced.
Grizzlepike: Heh. That some Monster you called there, so go ahead and attack me then!
Attacking is what Grizzlepike is hoping Ryuga would do as he looked at his set card.
Grizzlepike: (Once he does, my Trap Battleguard Howling will not only send his Monster back, but also deal damage equal to his Attack Points. And even if he does find a way to overcome my Trap, Boulder Battleguard's ability shall negate the attack).
Red-Eyes was raring to go.
Red-Eyes: He's asking for it! Let me at him!
Ryuga: Except it's a Trap.
Red-Eyes: Huh?!
Red-Eyes was surprised at what Ryuga said as the boy pointed at Grizzlepike.
Ryuga: You're very bad at keeping your motives hidden! The reason you want to attack me it's because you have a way that doing so will harm me instead!
Grizzlepike couldn't believe the mysterious Duelist figured him out, while Zuzu was impressed.
Zuzu: No way! Really?!
Ryuga: Fortunately, there are other ways to deal you damage! I activate the Spell, Inferno Fire Blast!
The Spell showed Red-Eyes firing his signature attack.
Ryuga: By not letting Red-Eyes battle, he can deal you damage equal to his original Attack Points!
Grizzlepike: What did you say?!
Grizzlepike didn't expect this as Red-Eyes was building a dark red fireball in his jaws.
Ryuga: Now you can go at him, Red-Eyes!
Red-Eyes: (Growls)...!
The Black Dragon launched the dark fire that went sailing above the two Battleguards and hit Grizzlepike instead, dealing him 2400 points of damage!
Grizzlepike: GAH!
Grizzlepike stood his ground, but he still felt the powerful shockwave of the attack.
Grizzlepike: 4000-2400=1600 LP
Ryuga: I put 2 cards face down and end my turn.
Ryuga's Hand: 1
Set card: 2
Grizzlepike regained his composure as he glared at the cloaked Duelist.
Grizzlepike: Alright, I can tell that you're good. But it's not enough to beat me! I draw!
He looked at the card he drew and grinned wickedly.
Grizzlepike: Alright, I'll summon Battleguard Cadet!
A small purple Ogre holding a mace that is as big as his body.
ATK: 50
Level
Grizzlepike: But he and my 3 Monsters wouldn't stay for long, cause I'll Tribute all 3 of them to summon the menacing mystical Shaman Battleguard!
His 3 Monsters turned red, blue, and green pillars of light that spun around before merging and exploding into a big yellow pillar of light.
Ryuga: Brace yourself, Red-Eyes.
The Black Dragon hardened his battle stance.
The light then hit the ground, and appearing was a fiendish gray purple Monster, covered in Shaman clothing, wearing a beast skull necklace, mask and even on his arms as he was dancing with wicked glee.
ATK: 2000
Level 10
The kids finds Grizzlepike's new Monster scary.
Tate: What is that?!
Allie: That Monster looks seriously creepy!
Frederick mumbled in fear as he agreed with them.
Red-Eyes, however, got out of his battle stance as he was unimpressed by the new Monster.
Red-Eyes: Only 2000 points? Lame.
Ryuga: Never underestimate any opponent, remember?
Red-Eyes: Oh please. What is he going to do? Dance for me?
Red-Eyes was just about to find out as Grizzlepike made his next move.
Grizzlepike: Now that my Shaman is here, his special ability will allow me to take control of one of your Monsters!
Ryuga's eyes widened, and so did Red-Eyes.
Ryuga: You wouldn't dare…
Grizzlepike smirked as he saw the mysterious Duelist on edge.
Grizzlepike: I'll be taking control of your Dragon!
The Shaman began using some dark power, and Red-Eyes felt himself being pulled!
Red-Eyes: I can't… free myself!
Red-Eyes was then teleported to Grizzlepike's side, to Ryuga's horror.
Ryuga: Red-Eyes!
Allie: Oh no! He just lost his Monster!
Tate: And that isn't all! Look! He doesn't have any Monster to defend on his field!
The kids were right as Ryuga's field is currently empty, while Grizzlepike's has Shaman and the enslaved Red-Eyes ready to attack.
Thug 1: Hah! There's no way he can escape this!
Thug 2: Finish him, boss!
Thug 3: He might as well back down when he has the chance!
Zuzu: No way…
Zuzu looked worriedly at the mysterious Duelist since he was at a serious disadvantage, however…
Ryuga: Do your worst!
Grizzlepike was surprised that he wasn't backing off, but grinned nonetheless.
Grizzlepike: Well then, you asked for it! Shaman Battleguard and Red-Eyes, attack him directly!
Shaman Battleguard used his dark powers again to release a purple shockwave, while Red-Eyes fired a stream of red flames.
Red-Eyes: Sorry, Ryuga!
BOOM!
Both attacks connected as everyone shielded themselves from the shockwave of the explosion. The kids were shocked at this while Grizzlepike let out a wicked laugh.
Grizzlepike: (Laughs)...! Looks like it's over for him then!
The smoke then started to clear, only to reveal Ryuga still standing!
Grizzlepike: What the?! He's still standing?!
Ryuga: 2000 LP
Zuzu and Grizzlepike couldn't believe it.
Zuzu: He survived?
Grizzlepike: How?! Those attacks should have finished you off!
Ryuga: Simple. I activated the Trap, Iron Resolve.
Ryuga showed him the Trap card. The one he got from Celeste.
Ryuga: By halving half my Life Points, I prevented myself from taking any damage!
Ryuga remembered right when the 2 Monsters attacked, he activated his Trap, halving his Life Points and producing an electric barrier that blocked the 2 attacks.
Tate: I can't believe he survived both attacks!
Frederick: Yeah it's awesome!
Zuzu sighed in relief. Meanwhile, Grizzlepike started to feel frustrated.
Grizzlepike: Tch! Whatever! One lucky move won't help you win this Duel! I put another facedown and that's it for now!
Grizzlepike's hand: 1
Set cards: 2
Before Ryuga drew his next card, an upset Red-Eyes glared at him.
Red-Eyes: Ryuga, you better get me back, and WIN! Otherwise my Spirit will be haunting your dreams for eternity!
Ryuga sweatdropped at his immature treat, even the Dragons are embarrassed by his childish tantrum.
White Night: How childish.
Ryuga then draw. He looked at the card and smiled before turning to his Set card.
Ryuga: I play the Trap, Remove Brainwashing
The Trap showed a blonde girl with chains that just broke around her head and she looked surprised.
Ryuga: Thanks to this Trap, not only will I get Red-Eyes back, but you'll no longer be able to take any of my Monsters again!
Grizzlepike: WHAT?!
Grizzlepike was shocked and the kids were surprised as the Trap card sent in a wave that immediately freed Red-Eyes and he went back to Ryuga's side.
Ryuga: Glad to have you back, Red-Eyes.
Red-Eyes: Told you using me will give you an advantage against him.
Ryuga nodded as he remembered the conversation he had with Red-Eyes before changing his Deck.
-Flashback-
As Ryuga was thinking if he should switch his Deck for Red-Eyes, the Black Dragon had something else to tell Ryuga.
Red-Eyes: I can smell the scent of Battleguard in his Deck. My power, and the cards you added in your Deck will overcome any tricks those brutes and their brute Master can throw at us!
Hearing that it was true, Ryuga made his decision as he changed Decks.
-End of Flashback-
Ryuga: (It's thanks to Red-Eyes that I was prepared for his Shamans ability)
Ryuga looked gratefully at Red-Eyes who growled happily at him. Meanwhile, Grizzlepike snapped out of his shock.
Grizzlepike: Hmph! So you got your Monster back? Big deal! I never liked him anyway! He's too puny for my taste!
Red-Eyes: Grrrr…
Red-Eyes was clearly upset at being called punny. Meanwhile, Grizzlepike knew his favored strategy had been completely countered.
Grizzlepike: (Because of that Trap card, I can't use my Shaman's ability to steal his Monsters anymore. Doesn't matter. I have plenty of strong Monsters in my Deck).
Grizzlepike then looked at his 2 Set cards. One is Battleguard Howling, and the other is Negate Attack.
The card showed a red vortex releasing a powerful wave of wind.
Grizzlepike: (My 2 Traps will give me all the time I need).
Grizzlepike smiled wickedly at that. Ryuga noticed this, but he wasn't worried.
Ryuga: I know what you're thinking, but I'll have to break it to you that you won't be making a comeback!
Grizzlepike: What did you say?!
Ryuga: With this! I activate Red-Eyes Fusion!

Ryuga: With this Spell, I'm allowed to Fusion Summon using Red-Eyes as a material! From my field, hand, and even my Deck!
That made Grizzlepike worry as Zuzu was awed at this move.
Zuzu: He can Fusion Summon even from his Deck!?
Ryuga: The one I'll be fusing is my Red-Eyes Black Dragon with Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning from my Deck!
Red-Eyes rose in the air, and appeared besides him a Fiendish black armored Demon with some with bone armor on his ribcage and shoulder pads, purple skin, 3 clawed hands and feet, orange-red Dragon-like wings, 4 horns around his head, and 4 terrifying glowing red eyes.
Red-Eyes turned into a red orb while the Archfiend turned into a purple orb as they started to spin around and merge.
Ryuga: Black Dragon with red eyes, merge with the black Fiend with red lightning and obtain terrifying power! I Fusion Summon! Archfiend Black Skull Dragon!
Crackling thunder was heard as red lightning surged through a thick Dragonic arm, as well as the other arm. 4 wings, 2 large ones, and 2 small ones lit up in flames from the wing arms that sprouted the fingers holding the membrane. The Dragon turned around to show his glowing red eyes that can inflict terror and let out a deep guttural roar.

Red-Eyes was now a Dragon/Fiend hybrid. His black arms, claws and legs are thick and powerful. Black armor partially covers his tail all the way up to his ribcage that has white bone armor, as well on his arms and legs. The exposed skin on his upper arms, upper legs, and chest was nearly blood red. His 4 Dragonic wings, 2 large ones, and 2 small ones between them, have red membranes, and the bones sprouting the fingers holding the membrane are ablaze in Fiendish fire. His face also looked Fiendish as well as his red eyes glowed, his nostrils glowed red as well, and Fiendish flames trying to come out of his mouth that had a white fanged lower jaw.
Grizzlepike was shocked at the terrifying new Dragon.
Grizzlepike: What kind of Monster is that?!
Ryuga: Someone that will end this Duel!
Zuzu was stunned at the move the Mysterious Duelist did.
Zuzu: Who is he?
Red-Eyes, now Archfiend Black Skull Dragon, felt the power coursing through his new form as he spoke in a deep voice.
Archfiend Black Skull Dragon: I feel so powerful! And ready for payback!
He glared at Grizzlepike, who is obviously scared by his new form despite his attempts to hide it.
Ryuga: Go, Archfiend Black Skull Dragon! Attack his Shaman with Infernal Fire Blaze!

The Fused Dragon was about to release the built up Fiendish flames from his mouth, but Grizzlepike planned to counter it.
Grizzlepike: I don't think so! I activate my Trap, Battleguard Ho…
However, he noticed to his shock that his Trap card isn't activating as all his Set cards are immobilized by red lightning.
Grizzlepike: What?! What 's going on?!
Ryuga: This is one of my Dragons's special abilities, Lightning Trap! Whenever my Dragon battles, you can't activate any of your Spell, Traps, Monster's abilities!
Grizzlepike couldn't believe this!
Tate: That's a powerful ability!
Frederick: Yeah!
Archfiend Black Skull Dragon fired his attack that engulfed Shaman Battleguard. Destroying him and dealing damage to Grizzlepike.
Grizzlepike: 1600-1200=400 LP
Ryuga: And my Dragon isn't done yet as his other ability activates!
Grizzlepike didn't expect that there was more.
Ryuga: By shuffling a Red-Eyes Normal Monster from my Graveyard back into the Deck, I can deal you damage equal to that Monster's attack! The card I returned is Red-Eyes Black Dragon, so get ready for another 2400 points of damage!
Ryuga shuffled Red-Eyes Black Dragon back in the Deck, and Archfiend Black Skull Dragon started building a fireball sphere crackling with red lightning.
Grizzlepike: No…
Ryuga: My Dragon wasn't too happy that you took control of him, so here's some payback! Molten Storm Blast!
Archfiend Black Skull Dragon unleashed the fire attack that took the form of Red-Eyes Black Dragon in red lightning. It soared over and hit a shocked Grizzlepike.
Grizzlepike: AAAAAAAH!
The shockwave of the explosion also blew away Ryuga's hood as Grizzlepike's Life Points dropped to 0.
Grizzlepike: 0 LP
Ryuga Wins!
The thugs immediately went to their Boss's aid, before glaring at the mysterious Duelist.
Thug 2: Boss!
Thug 3: How dare you do that to our Boss!
Thug 4: We'll make you pay for tha… huh?
All the thugs shut up as they saw the revealed face of the cloaked Duelist, the children also recognized him as well.
Thug 3: No way!
Thug 1: It's him?!
Thug 2: No way!
Grizzlepike stood back up as he glared at the mysterious Duelist before turning to his cronies.
Grizzlepike: What's the matter with you guys? Get him!
Thug 4: B-But Boss!
Thug 1: That's the guy that wiped us out a few days ago!

Grizzlepike was surprised, and so was Zuzu.
Zuzu: Hold on, does that mean he's…
Allie: Yes, Zuzu! That's the guy that saved us!
Zuzu now understands who this Duelist is.
Zuzu: So this is the Gemini Duelist?
Grizzlepike glared at Ryuga, but knew that wouldn't be a good idea to continue.
Grizzlepike: This ain't over, kid! Next time you'll be sorry!
With that, Grizzlepike and his cronies ran away and left.
Ryuga then deactivated his Duel Disk and took a look at his partner's card.
Ryuga: Thanks, Red-Eyes.
Red-Eyes: Thank you for giving me a decent fight.
Both Dragon and Duelist smiled at each other, before Ryuga turned to Zuzu and the kids, who approached him first.
Ryuga: Are you kids okay?
Allie: Yeah! It's good to see you again, Mr. Ryuga!
Ryuga: Same.
Tate: Hey, last time you used Gemini Monsters, but now you're using Red-Eyes?
Ryuga: Oh, I use more than one Dragon Type Deck, which allows me to use different cards and strategies.
Frederick: That's so cool!
Zuzu: Um, excuse me?
Ryuga then noticed the pink haired girl with them.
Ryuga: Yes, and you are?
Zuzu: My name is Zuzu Boyle, and I'm a student at the You Show Duel School. So you're the Gemini Duelist?
Ryuga sweatdropped at that name.
Ryuga: Is that why they call me?... My name is Ryuga Shirogane.
Zuzu: I know. Tate and the others told me how you saved them from Grizzlepike's goons last time.

Allie then took Ryuga's hand.
Allie: That's right! We forgot to tell you the name of our School! We're sorry!
Ryuga: That's alright, Allie.
Tate: Hey, do you have time to come with us? That way we can show you our School!
Zuzu: Hold on, Tate. Ryuga probably has some other things to do.
Tate: But Yuya and the others were eager to meet Ryuga!
