30 days later...
All of Paris is overrun with savage zombie-like creatures infected with rabies. The national guard issued a state of emergency and had the entire city placed in quarantine. A huge wall was built around Paris to keep the infection from spreading further. The government was determined to keep the outbreak a secret so as not to cause panic among the rest of the world.
In America, at the white house, President Adam Benford contacted agent Leon S. Kennedy and told him to come with him into his office immediately. The two men entered the oval office and Adam closed the door behind him.
"Leon, I've just received word of a possible outbreak of rabies in Paris, France." He said. "Really? That doesn't seem like a big deal." Leon said. "Rabies is a very serious disease, Leon. But this is no ordinary case." Adam said.
He goes to his desk and pulls out a laptop from underneath. He turns on the laptop and goes on Google to bring up the news podcast. The newscast showed the same footage from when the outbreak first started. Leon was surprised when he saw people attacking each other on live television, especially when there are children that got involved.
"Oh my god. This is almost impossible to believe." He said. "You better believe it's real." Adam said. "How did this happen?" Leon asked. "No one knows, that's why I'm sending you and a small team to Paris to figure this out." Adam said.
He gets up from his chair and heads straight to the phone to call for assistance. Leon kept looking at the video with a sense of shock in him. He always knew that rabies was a deadly illness and he'd seen zombie outbreaks before. But he still gets shocked every time, especially when children are involved. All Leon could see was teenagers fleeing for their lives to escape from those infected with the mutated rabies.
"Hello? This is the president of the United States." Adam said. "I'm going to need three of your best agents to see me at once. Thank you."
He hung up the phone and walked back to his desk. He saw that Leon was still watching the video of the mutated rabies infecting anyone in its path. Adam saw how horrifying it was to see yet another outbreak happening in the world. But he trusted Leon and knew that he could handle any situation possible.
"I know this is a very troubling situation. But I know that you and your team can handle it. I'm counting on you." Adam said. "I won't let you down, Mr. President. If I could survive Raccoon City, I can survive this as well." Leon said. "Good. Now get your gear and head to the briefing room. Your team should be here at any moment." Adam said.
Meanwhile, back in Paris, the entire city is on lockdown and quarantined from the world. Almost everyone is infected and those that aren't are being hunted by rabid people. On top of one of the buildings, Kima overlooks the chaos spreading around Paris. She was horrified that everyone had become zombie-like and rabid. She never thought that rabies would become even worse than it was already.
"I can't believe everyone became infected with rabies." Kima said.
She took one last look at the carnage before heading off. She flew over the desolated city before heading towards the movie theater. After barely escaping the infected Alec and a few others, Kima was able to use the movie theater as a safe house to avoid the infected. But she wasn't alone: she managed to save a few people and brought them to the shelter too. She flew down onto the ground and looked around to make sure there weren't any infected near.
"Coast is clear." Kima said to herself.
Then she flew onto the roof of the theater and changed back into her civilian clothes. She opened the door and went down the stairs into the main lobby of the theater where her friends are. Inside the movie theater, Marinette and Adrien were waiting for their friend to bring them some news from the outside. They somehow managed to reach safety without getting bitten. Their Kwamis Tikki and Plagg were with them, hiding from each other.
"Kima, did you see any sign of the national guard or military?" Adrien asked. "Nope. It's total chaos out there." Kima said. "What about our parents? Any sign of them?" Marinette asked. "I'm sorry, but I haven't seen them either." Kima said somberly.
The three friends went down towards the lobby where their classmates were hanging around. Besides them, the other survivors include: Alya, Nino, Luka, Kagami, Juleka, Rose, Kim, Max, Alix, Ivan, Mylene, Nathaniel, Marc, Chloe, and Sabrina. They've all managed to survive the outbreak and took up shelter at the movie theater, turning it into a safe house. Max had activated the security system with help from his robot friend Markov, barricading themselves inside by closing the stutters to the doors at the front and back.
They couldn't leave without running into the infected, so Kima volunteered to go scouting outside for supplies and search for any other survivors. The kids spent their time in the safe house doing activities to keep their minds off the disaster outside. Kim and Alix were playing cards against Max and Markov. Ivan and Mylene sat together in the corner with Ivan hugging the frightened Mylene and comforting her during this crisis. Nathaniel and Marc were reading their comic books together. Chloe was sitting far away from the others and looking at her cell phone.
"Kima! Any sign of our parents or teachers?" Alya asked. "None. And the whole city has been quarantined by the national guard, so no one's coming to get us." Kima said. "Then that means we're all doomed." Nino said sadly.
Everyone soon became sad and worried for their loved ones. They weren't sure if any members of their families survived the outbreak or if they somehow made it out of Paris. They had hoped that the military would come to rescue them and reunite them with their families. Rose and Juleka hugged each other for comfort. Adrien and Kagami looked at each other with great concern. Luka placed his hand on Marinette's shoulder to reassure her that he's here for her.
"Seriously? Why are you all so worried? We have Ladybug and Cat Noir to save us. Obviously." Chloe said. "Yeah! Ladybug and Cat Noir will save us from those scary zombies." Sabrina said.
This made everyone feel much better about their situation. They had been so frightened of becoming infected that they almost forgot about Paris's greatest heroes. Ladybug and Cat Noir have always been there for them and have saved Paris from Hawk Moth multiple times. They knew that they could always count on them to save them from those zombies outside.
"That's right! Ladybug and Cat Noir will save us and bring us to our parents." Rose said. "Dudes! You know what this means?" Nino asked. "Yeah! It means we're saved!" Kim shouted.
Everyone cheered and hi-fived each other, except for Marinette, Adrien, and Kima. They all knew how serious and bleak their current situation was at the moment, so they couldn't have a reason to celebrate.
"I'm not so sure Ladybug would want to travel around Paris during this time of crisis." Marinette said. "What are you talking about? Ladybug and Cat Noir have always been victorious when it came to fighting Hawk Moth." Alya said. "Yeah, but we don't know where they are." Adrien said. "Yeah. For all we know, they could've left the city already to find out the cause of this virus." Kima said.
Suddenly, everyone's smiles disappeared and they grew more worried than ever. They realized that Kima could be right: the French Army may have already left the city and abandoned them to the zombies outside.
"Well then, we could always count on Rena Rouge and Carapace." Alya said. "Don't forget about Queen Bee either." Chloe said. "Sure." Alix said. "I'll bet Hawk Moth had something to do with this outbreak." Kagami said. "I don't believe Hawk Moth was responsible for the spread of this rabies virus." Luka said. "True. If it was Hawk Moth, Ladybug and Cat Noir would've already defeated him by now." Marinette said.
Kima walked towards the cinema and went into the projector room. She took out a box with some movies and placed them next to the projector. Then she walked back into the lobby to rejoin her friends.
"Well, there's no way any of us are going out there to find out, especially since it's getting late." Kima said. "So why don't we instead fix the projector and watch some movies?"
Everyone seemed to like that idea and they followed Kima into the projector room where Max and Markov began working on the projector. Marinette and Adrien smiled, for they're glad Kima had come up with a way to keep their friends calm and safe during these hard times.
Meanwhile, outside the city limits, a helicopter was flying straight towards Paris. Leon could see the destruction the mutated rabies virus has caused. His team consisted of himself along with Chris Redfield, his sister Claire, and Jill Valentine. They had been ordered by the president to investigate the city and search for any survivors.
"Alright. Let's get this show on the road." Leon said as they prepared to enter the city.
