A/N: I ended up wondering what would happen if Fennec and Bane fought each other again, only many years later. I feel like Bane would probably want revenge after Fennec thwarted his attempt at handing Omega over to the Kaminoans. This takes place when Fennec is working with Boba Fett(see The Mandalorian chapter 14 for explanation) and contains references to the Bad Batch episode bounty lost. I do recommend you watch that before reading this(or at least watch the Bane vs Shand fight). Anyway, I hope you enjoy this.
Water splashed up as Fennec ran through the underground tunnels. She activated the holo-map on her comlink, which had a built in holoprojecter, to make sure she was going the right way. It had been a simple job find the target, eliminate the target, get back to Slave I, and leave. Unfortunately the police had seen her and started chasing her, which was how she ended up running through the old tunnels. The town was on a mountain and the tunnels let out on the side of the mountain where Boba would pick her up. She was close, very close. She froze when she heard the sound of someone pulling a blaster, "Fennec Shand, its been a while." The voice belonged to none other than Cad Bane.
They had tangled once before, back when Fennec was still new to the bounty hunting scene. She had managed to beat him last time and walk away with only a few bruises and a dislocated shoulder. She turned around slowly, he stood before her just as she remembered him, except older and this time he was aiming a blaster at her instead of the other way around.
"What do you want Bane?" she asked harshly meeting his eyes with the best glare she could manage.
"Revenge, for what happened on Bora Vio," he stated and then he fired at her. She managed to avoid the blaster bolt hitting her anywhere vital and it hit her arm instead. She didn't have time to dwell on the pain though. She moved quickly and disarmed him, then it became a hand to hand fight, just like last time. This time she had two advantages, he was older, and she was more experienced than last time. Her only disadvantage was the searing pain in her arm, but she could deal with that later. He slammed her into the wall, she kicked him in the stomach. Then she found her opening and she took it, he attempted a punch and she grabbed his arm and sent him flying into the wall. He was unconscious and she raised her blaster, but then she heard the police shouting to one another. She looked at Bane one last time and then ran. She took two turns and then saw the opening, the tunnel ended with a straight drop off the mountain but Slave I was hovering as close as Boba could get. She ran and jumped clearing the small space between the tunnel and the boarding ramp. She hurried to the passenger area and didn't let her self relax until she saw the stars stretch into the familiar swirl of hyperspace. Now to deal with that blaster wound.
