Chapter 13: The Depth of Despair

Amy's mental breakdown necessitated immediate intervention. Dr. Evans and the medical staff worked quickly to stabilize her, guiding Sheldon to step outside for a moment to allow them to focus on Amy's immediate care.

In the hallway, Sheldon paced, his mind racing with guilt and regret. He replayed the painful accusations and his decision to leave Amy in her time of need. The reality of his actions hit him harder than ever.

"I should have stayed," Sheldon muttered to himself. "I should have worked through it with her."

Dr. Evans approached Sheldon, her expression sympathetic but serious. "Sheldon, Amy is experiencing a severe emotional crisis. The memory of the confrontation with you triggered this breakdown. It's going to be a long road to help her process and heal from this trauma."

Sheldon nodded, tears streaming down his face. "I just want her to be okay. I want to make things right."

Dr. Evans placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "We're doing everything we can. Your presence is important, but it's crucial that you also seek support for yourself. You need to be strong for her, and that means taking care of your own mental health as well."
