AN: Thank you all for the reviews which I honestly didn't expect. Like I said in the beginning, this is my first Big Bang theory Fanfiction story and I'm going to try to write the characters like the series. But they might go little OC especially Sheldon and Amy, since it's AU. Also I hope you guys are okay with Amy and Bernadette being cousins in this story and the fact I kept Mrs. Wolowitz alive in this story.
"Welcome to our home." Bernadette said as soon as she and Amy walked through the front door." Come on I will show you your room." She said as she closed the door behind them and headed upstairs, carrying Amy's suitcases.
Bernadette showed Amy her and Howard's room, along with the kids' bedroom. She also showed Amy Mrs. Wolowitz's room and where the bathroom was. "And this will be your room." She said as she opened the guest room that she had set up for Amy.
Walking into the room, Amy looked around with amazement. "Thanks for letting me stay with you guys. Bernie. Hopefully I'll be able to find something soon once I start working at Caltech." As much as Amy loves staying with her cousin and her family, she doesn't want to disturb their lives.
Bernadette shook her head as she set Amy's suitcases on the bed."It's no problem. You know you're always welcome here. Hey, I was going to go over to Penny's later for girls night. Wanna come?" She asked, wanting to invite Amy to girls night.
"Oh, I don't know. Do you think your friend Penny wouldn't mind if I came over?" Amy asked, unsure how Bernadette's friend would really feel about her cousin coming over to girls' night. She also didn't want to wear out her welcome.
"Actually, it was Penny's idea. She just wanted to make sure I invited you." Bernadette answered with a smile."So, how did your parents feel about you moving out here?"
"Oh, well I would love to join you guys for a girls' night and as for my parents, let's just say they weren't too thrilled about me moving out here. What I mean is, my mother isn't too thrilled." Amy said with a chuckle as she started unpacking her suitcases.
"Let me guess, she'd rather you work closer to home than at Caltech." Bernadette asked with a smirk.
Amy scoffs a little as she nods her head a little." Yeah, Its like my mom doesn't think being Nerobiologiest is a real job or having a career at Caltech is very important to me." Amy's mom Mrs. Fowler never wanted Amy to be a Scientist . She wanted something more for Amy.
"Hey Bernie, I'm going to meet up with the guys over at the comic book store. Hi there, Amy." Howard said when he noticed her standing behind Bernadette.
" Hello Howard." Amy responded with a friendly smile.
Bernadette nodded. "That's fine. Are you guys going to Leonard and Sheldon's later?" She asked as she walked up to him.
" Yeah, I think so. Why?"
"Because we're going to be over at Penny's, so we might stop by later." Bernadette answered with a smile as she leaned forward and gave Howard a quick kiss goodbye.
"See you later, ladies." Howard said as he kissed Bernadette goodbye before heading downstairs and out the front door to Stuart's comic book store.
"I thought we were having a girls' night with Penny," Amy asked, a little confused about what was really going on.
" Oh yeah,of course we are. It's just some times we hangout with the guys that lives across the hall and have dinner with them, just in case we get hungry and sometimes they have extra food. Are you gonna be okay with this? Meeting Howie's friends tonight?"
" That's cool." Amy answered as she nods her head.
Bernadette nods her head. "Great! Then we will stop by Leonard and Sheldon's apartment later and I will introduce you to Howie's friends."
"So Amy, Bernadette told me that you're a neuroscientist. I find that interesting. Do you study string theory or something like that?" Penny asked Amy as she took a sip of her wine. It had only been a few hours since Bernadette and Amy arrived at Penny's for a girls' night, and so far, Amy and Penny seemed to be getting along.
Amy chuckled softly as she shook her head. "No, I study biology. I study things like the reproduction systems--things like that. But my most favorite thing to study is the brain." Amy said with a smile as she took a drink of her wine.
"The brain, huh? That sounds interesting. Do you like studying what other people are thinking or something like that?" Penny asked with a laugh.
"No, I mostly study what's inside people's brains and what makes them act the way they do. What do you do?" Amy asked Penny as she took another drink of her wine.
"I'm a waitress at the Cheese Cake Factory, but I'm also an inspiring actress." Penny answered as she poured herself another glass of wine."Want some more wine?" She asked Amy as she offered it to her
Amy shook her head." No Thanks. Three is my limit for tonight. So You're an actress huh? Have you done any movies yet or tv shows?"Amy asked as she was wondering if she ever saw Penny in anything.
Penny shook her head as she set her glass down."No movies or TV shows yet. But I've been to a lot of auditions, and I did a commercial for hemorrhoids though." She shrugged her shoulders a little.
"Oh... yeah, now I remember where I saw you from. You're that hemorrhoids girl. Hey Bernadette, why didn't you tell me that your best friend happened to be the one who did that commercial?" Amy asked, not believing her cousin had left that part out.
Bernadette shrugs her shoulders." It just never came up." She said as she took a drink of her wine.
" Knock, knock, Knock, Penny. Knock, knock, Penny. Knock, knock Penny!" The girls heard as someone was knockimg on Penny's door three times.
" Who is that?" Amy asked Bernadette as she watched Penny getting up and walking towards her apartment door to answer it.
" Oh, that's just Penny's Neighbor Sheldon. He's always does that."
" Why?" Amy asked with a very confused look on her face.
Bernadette snorts a little as she shook head." Got, no idea."
" Hey Sheldon, what's up?" Penny asked as soon as she pulled her door open.
Sheldon stood outside of Penny's door with his arms across behind his back." Good evening Penny, The guys and I brought home Pizza for dinner and we were wondering if you and your two friends want to come and join us?"
Penny shrugs her shoulders a little." Yeah, sure. Hey you guys want to go across the hall and have pizza,with the guys?" She asked Amy and Bernadette as she looked over her shoulder.
" Yeah, I can definitely go for some pizza. What about you Amy?" Bernadette asked as she looks at Amy.
Amy then nods her head." Having Pizza with Penny's neighbor and friends. Sounds like a great idea." She answered as she got up from the couch and followed Penny and Bernadette across the hall and into Sheldon's and Leonard's Apartment.
AN 2: Amy will meet the guys along with Sheldon in the next chapter . Was going to do the introduction here. But I decided to save it for the next Chapter. I will try to update more often. But of course, I am not making any promises though. Feel free to leave reviews xD.
