Amy hacked her lungs out as she sat in a chair. She had a nearby tissue box as she coughed in them. What kind of sickness did Scourge have for her to get sick this badly?! She sighed as she sat there alone. She didn't mind though, she has always been independent.

A knock on the door was heard, and Amy went to go get it.

"Hey Amy," Sonic greeted as he smiled at her.

Amy's eyes widened as she blushed. "Sonic! What are you doing here? I look like a mess!" She huffed as she put a hand on her mouth, she had a blanket on.

"I don't mind," Sonic shrugged. "Can I come in?" He asked.

The pinkette nodded as she moved for him to come inside. The Blue Blur looked around her house awkwardly.

"So... cleaning up around here?" Sonic asked.

"Yeah," Amy replied in a hushed tone. She looked down at her lap as she sat next to him on the couch.

"This place sure is tidy!"

"Yeah,"

"Have you talked with Sally recently?"

"Yeah,"

"Have you been doing well?"

"Yeah,"

"...Are you going to say something else other than 'yeah'...?" Sonic asked as he looked at her with a slight chuckle.

"...Oh, sorry," Amy replied, snapping out of her trance, still looking down.

Sonic looked at her with concern.

"...What's wrong?" He asked.

"Oh... it's..." Amy began, "I... uh... spilled some cake batter on one of my fortune cards," She replied with a sheepish grin.

Sonic only looked with a deadpan look and scooted closer to her.

"...Are you like this because of Scourge?" Sonic asked.

The pinkette looked at him in shock. "How did you...?"

"I figured. You're always in a positive mood and nothing brings you down." Sonic shrugged. "Usually you're always ready to share your love with anyone and everyone. Not to mention, Scourge is a constant Debbie Downer."

Amy became flustered, hearing the words her blue hero had said about her. She frowned, a feature that made Sonic worry for her. She leaned closer to him, resting her head by his arm.

"...I'm... I'm not a monster, right Sonic...?" She squeaked out.

Sonic chuckled. "You're anything but," He replied, grabbing her closer to him, which made her turn red.

"...I'm not..." Amy began, "...stupid for wanting for take him in and care for him, am I..." She said.

"Nah, you're just being you. Trying to help anyone in need." He replied.

"Well looks like Scourge doesn't NEED any help." Amy replied bitterly.

"Oh trust me... that Green mess definitely needs some kind of therapy." Sonic stated with a light hearted smile.

"Yeah. No kidding." Amy replied with a huff.

Then, the living room went silent, Amy was still sulking as the Blue Blur held her close. It felt like a dream to Amy, she didn't wake up.

"...You seem like you need some fresh air, wanna go to the diner?" Sonic asked.

"Of course!" She perked up. Anything that involved her blue hero made her cheer up instantly! The pinkette quickly got herself dressed and ready and beamed. Sonic just smiled at her as they went.

The walk to the diner wasn't so far. Amy was happily clinging onto Sonic's arm, much to his chagrin. Once they finally made it inside, a little bell by the door had rang. Inside was Uncle Chuck polishing some cups.

"Oh, good afternoon Sonic!" Uncle Chuck greeted. "Oh, and good afternoon Amy!"

"Hi Uncle Chuck!" They both said in unison.

"What brings you two in today?" He asked as they both took a seat by the counter.

"Amy was feeling down when I went to visit her." Sonic started. "So, I decided to cheer her up a bit." He explained, making the pinkette blush.

"Awww... well that's nice of you sonny boy!" Uncle Chuck replied. "I'll get you your orders."

The light blue elderly hedgehog then left them alone, leaving just the blue and pink hogs. Sonic was just sitting there, as did Amy. It became quiet, too quiet.

"Hi Sonic! Hi Amy!" Manic's voice greeted.

The silence was then gone. Amy and Sonic perked their heads to see the bright green hedgehog.

"What'cha two doing?" He asked.

"Just taking Amy out on a lunch date." Sonic replied with a shrug.

"Oooh, you mean like a romantic date?" Manic inquired.

Amy perked her head even more as she looked at Manic, then back to Sonic with puppy dog eyes.

"Nope. There's nothing really. I'm just a good friend trying to help out another friend." Sonic explained with a shrug again, making the pinkette turn white as her spirits were crushed.

"Oh...ok!" Manic replied. "Anyways, I'm gonna go back to cleaning the ceiling!" He said.

"Ugh, Manic's always been so annoying." Sonia groaned as she had an apron and broomstick.

"Oh, hi Sonia," Amy greeted.

"Hey Amy!" Sonia greeted back. "What'cha doing with my brother? Did he finally have the gall to ask you out?"

"Pfft, no." Sonic replied. "Like I said, I'm just cheering her up." He replied as he patted her back.

"Yeah... as friends..." Amy mumbled sadly.

Sonia stared with her brother with a deadpan look .

"Honestly, I don't understand men and their feelings." Sonia said with a huff. "I just don't understand why they keep on breaking my heart and being so complicated!" She said, sweeping. "I'm never getting into a relationship! I don't have time for that, without a shadow of doubt!" She declared.

"...Achoo!" Shadow sneezed.

"SEASONAL ALLERGIES, SHADOW?" Omega asked, holding out a tissue.

"...I don't know why, but..." Shadow began. "I feel like something is going to go down within a few arcs from now..."

"WHATEVER YOU SAY. SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG." Omega replied, as he went back to tending their garden.

Sonia was still standing on the diner table as Sonic and Amy stared at her with dumbfounded looks. She stared at them back, and silently crawled away from the scene.

Uncle Chuck came back with the food.

"Here you go guys! It's on the house." He replied.

Sonic and Amy chowed down on their food. Sonia cringed a bit as she saw their messy eating while Manic just looked down.

"Oh, that was delicious!" Amy replied.

"You said it! That really hit the spot!" Sonic replied, as he rubbed his belly and relaxed in the chair.

Uncle Chuck came back to get their plates. "So Amy, why did you need cheering up?"

"Oh, didn't you hear Uncle Chuck, Scourge the Hedgehog's back on Mobius and is staying at Amy's place!" Sonic explained.

At that, Uncle Chuck dropped the dishes he was holding and Sonia froze in place.

"YOU WHAT?!" They both said in unison, as their heads enlarged and also squished together.

"...You didn't tell them?!" Sonic inquired with an eyebrow raise.

"I figured since Uncle Chuck had to work in the diner, I'd be interrupting him." Amy began, before she turned to the light blue hedgehog. "I'm sorry for not telling you sooner Uncle Chuck,"

"Oh Amy, it's ok," Uncle Chuck started. "Though, how is he treating you?"

"...Not really, he's still the same old Scourge the Hedgehog." Amy replied with a huff.

"Being cruel is his trademark after all." Uncle Chuck said with a slight grumble. "Who knows how he grew up to be..."

"Well clearly he didn't grow up with good role models at all." Amy replied. "It's a wonder how his parents put up with him as a child."

"I wonder so too, Amy," Sonic replied.

"...Anyways Uncle Chuck, thanks so much for lunch!" Amy replied. "Oh, and thank you Sonic," She said a bit shyly.

"Don't mention it Amy!" The Blue Blur replied, giving her a thumbs up.

Amy stared at him and smiled loving towards him. It was refreshing after being stuck with Scourge all day.

Speaking of which, where was he? The pinkette wondered to herself.

Scourge walked back to Amy's place coming back from Breezie's. Dark clouds surrounded the area where he was walking. He grumbled, furrowing his eyebrow ridge and barring his sharp teeth.

He heard laughter nearby. Children's laughter. Scourge growled as he went up to where the laughter was coming from. How dare did some stupid, snot nosed brats get to be happy but he doesn't?!

The green hedgehog was ready to scare them off until he saw a playground which was gated. His eyes widened as he realized he was close to a school. His eyes darted to a young goat and calf.

"Hey Billy, why do you carry around that stupid teddy bear anyways?" A female calf asked a gray colored mountain goat. "You're not a kindergartner anymore!"

"...I know Chelsea, but Mr. Teddy is my best friend!" Billy replied.

Scourge's eyes widened as he leaned towards the gate and grabbed the fence through the holes.

"Hey, loser." A young Anti Amy went up to Anti Sonic. "Are you going to tell me why you have a baby's blanket with you?"

Anti Sonic looked at her with wide eyes.

"...I like Blankie," He simply said with a soft smile.

"Well you're in fourth grade now, idiot!" She replied with a huff before walking away.

Anti Sonic shrugged as he wrapped his blanket around him, almost sort of like a cape. The little blue hedgehog did like superheroes, and they were cool, and so he wanted to feel cool too! Why did everyone look at him funny because of it?

"Ok kids, recess is over now," A gentle voice called out to the rugrats in the playground. "Time to come back inside!"

Various students groaned as all they formed a line and went back inside.

Scourge watched as two bullies went up to Billy and started to tease him.

"..H-hey! You give back Mr. Teddy!" Billy cried out.

"Hehe. I don't listen to stupid sissies!" A male bear cub smirked, grasping the little brown teddy bear in one hand.

"Yeah. After all, you're just the teacher's pet!" A male striped kitty taunted, holding back the young mountain goat.

Teacher's Pet, the words repeated in Scourge's mind. It thundered really loudly.

"Did everyone finish the reading assignment I told you all about?" The teacher asked gently. She was a fluffy golden brown Shitzu with long pink hair tied in a messy ponytail.

No one raised at hand, they seemed apathetic. However, Anti Sonic raised his hand.

"I did Miss Blossom!" He said with a huge grin.

"Oh that's wonderful Sonic!" She replied back with a smile. "Did you finish the writing portion of it too?"

"I did!" He said, getting up from his seat and handing her his homework. He was the smallest out of everyone.

"Oh thank you so much Sonic, you're a star student!" Miss Blossom exclaimed as she clasped her hands together in a happy demeanor.

As the final bell rang, Anti Sonic ran home eagerly, though he did trip a few times.

"Mom! Dad! I got a gold star on my report card today!" He said with a smile on his face.

Anti Jules and Anti Bernadette didn't glance at him. The former was at the dining table while the latter was watching TV.

"Look! See see see?!" He exclaimed, jumping up and down as he pointed towards the paper in his hand.

Again, they ignored him. Anti Sonic went up to his mom, and a big mistake that was.

"Look Mom! My teacher said I'm her star student!"

Anti Bernadette coldly perked her head towards Anti Sonic.

"You stupid brat. You made me miss my favorite part of the show I was watching!" She spat. Anti Sonic shrinked down a bit as he looked at her with big eyes. "And who cares about your report card? You're a teacher's pet!"

"Huh? What's that?" Anti Sonic inquired.

"It means to know it all, a teacher's favorite." Anti Jules explained from the dining table. He had cup of vodka next to him. "By the way, Bernie, I think the correct term for our son is a teacher's pest."

"Huh? A pest?" Anti Sonic repeated, his voice trembling at the end.

"Yes, a pest. That's what you are to us anyways." Anti Jules coldly explained. "All you do is whine, whine, whine asking for us constantly. Not to mention your acts of service are annoying. We're not babies, we can take care of ourselves, and you can do the same for yourself as well. If you're capable of doing that , that is."

"But... you guys are my parents," Anti Sonic squeaked out.

"So? That doesn't mean we have to tolerate you all the time, You're lucky you get to live here, got it?" Anti Jules spat. Anti Sonic stared at him in shock, clutching onto Blankie tightly. That seemed to shut him up for the night, for when he walked in his room, he jumped into bed and cried.

Scourge just stared as the poor goat was beaten senselessly by the two punks. Billy's cries for help fell on deaf ears as Scourge went alongside his way. The rain did not subside, for the green hedgehog got drenched on again. He grumbled.

"...The kid's not worth saving..." Scourge mumbled to himself in a low tone.

He looked around at the approaching shops near him. There was a music store, a toy shop, a bakery, and all other sorts. Scourge scoffed as everyone looked stupid working. He stopped walking when he saw someone selling balloons to a child. There were two particular colors; pink and green. The pink one was shaped like a heart. Scourge growled a bit as it reminded of Amy. However, the pink balloon popped right in front of the kid, making them cry. The vendor tried to cheer him up with a balloon animal in exchange.

"Huh... pink and green balloons, and the pink one popped. I wonder why that happened " Scourge said out loud. "Eh, it's probably nothing, so why the hell should I care?"

Thus Scourge continued walking, that is until he saw a park. It looked clean and orderly, kind of reminding him of how things used to be back on Moebius, before he took it over. Scourge cringed at the sight. He then felt someone brush past him.

"HEY WISE GUY! WHY DON'T YOU WATCH-" Scourge growled as he turned and saw who brushed past him.

Two pink and blue alpacas were holding hands, as they looked like they were in love with one another. The green hedgehog grimaced at the cheesy sight.

Scourge sat at a park bench and from afar, saw a little girl fox play with her toys. In her hands were two pink and green figures.

"Oh Wanda, will I never you again?" The little girl mimicked a man's voice as he held up the green one.

"I'm not so sure Cosmo, but I bid you farewell! I hope you never forget me!" "Wanda" replied as the little girl made the two figures embrace. She then proceeded to put the pink figure in a toy airplane and made airplane noises.

Scourge looked at her weirdly, and then he turned his head and saw a kid crying about dropping his ice cream. A scoop of strawberry fell on the ground, all that was left was mint chocolate chip.

"Hmph. Wimp." Scourge said with a scowl. Then, a pink towel was blown on his face.

"HEY! WHAT THE HELL?!" He growled in anger, looking around at where it came from. He saw a green towel hanging from an apartment and chucked it back there in anger, however, the wind blew it away even further.

Scourge growled as he got up from the bench and stomped away, pouting a bit. He went into an area with a lot of trees, and rested against one. It was still raining, although it became a little lighter. He heard chirping as he looked up and saw the little hot pink Flicky from before.

"Ugh... man you're annoying! What do you want?!" He groaned. The Flicky chirped happily as she perched on his head and rested there.

"...Fine.. I guess you can... stay with me." Scourge mumbled, as the Flicky was heard making snoring and snoozing noises. Scourge did feel sleepy in turn, and closed his eyes.

"...Amy, I think this is enough shopping for today-" Sonic said with a sweatdrop as he carried all her bags... all 917,000 of them.

"Nonsense! I still need to buy cupcake tins!" Amy exclaimed.

"Don't you have some at home?" Sonic inquired.

"I do, but I'm preparing for when I open up a bakery, remember?" She replied, turning her head towards her blue crush.

"Right..." Sonic replied with a sweatdrop again.

"Hmmm... maybe I should get Scourge something to eat." Amy pondered out loud, as she had her eyes set on some restaurants. "What do you think Sonic? Should I go for Burger Hut, or Pizza King?"

"Hmm.. why not go for something classic? Like a chili dog?" Sonic replied.

"..Nah, I don't think he'd liked them!" Amy declared. "He is your evil twin after all!"

"Right... what a loser," Sonic replied in a playful tone.

"There's also a WcDonald's and Inside Out Burger! Then there's Mehburger but... I wouldn't even subject him to that.." Amy shuddered at the thought. Sonic did so as well.

"Well I'm sure whatever you'll pick, its his food after all..." Sonic's voice trailed off, as he was then subjected all of the orders from the respective restaurants.

"I couldn't decide on what to get, so I got all of it!" Amy sheepishly replied.

Amy and Sonic then went to her home to drop off all of the bags she brought, along with the food she brought for Scourge and herself. They then went back out, Amy carrying her umbrella.

"Thanks so much for today Sonic!" Amy beamed. "You have no idea how much I needed you today," The pinkette smiled with a blush.

"Don't mention it, Amy" Sonic replied with a light smile. "Thanks for taking me home, though why do you have your umbrella, there's not a cloud in the sky."

"I saw some dark clouds up ahead, so I figured why not be prepared?" Amy explained, looking up at the sky above her. It was a beautiful day out.

"Huh, that's weird." Sonic said as he also looked in the same area. "I wonder why it's only cloudy over there?" He pointed towards the direction to where the park was.

"I honestly don't know, it has been raining a lot recently," Amy replied.

"Well, we're here~" Sonic declared as they did indeed make it back to his house.

"Huh, Uncle Chuck's place?" Amy gawked as she looked at it.

"Well yeah, he is my uncle after all," Sonic replied, shrugging.

"Right, sorry, I forgot you go out so much that you don't even have your own place," Amy said with a slight chuckle.

"Well Amy, it was nice having you around today-" Sonic said as the aforementioned pinkette embraced him tightly. Sonic was a bit taken aback by this, but he slowly hugged her back awkwardly. Amy didn't let go for a while, but Sonic didn't mind; he figured it was probably for the best. Eventually though, Amy pulled away from the hug.

"...Thank you!" Amy exclaimed before she ran off in the other direction. Sonic looked at her from a distance, and smiled.

"I guess Sally was right... she can fend for herself.." Sonic said to himself.

It appears as though Scourge's nap took quite a while, because it was nearing sunset as Amy found him lying there.

'You would think that out of all places to find Scourge, it wouldn't be here..' The pinkette thought to herself as she sweatdropped.

Scourge had a big smile on his face as he appeared to be in a dream.

"Scourge? Scourgeeeee?" Amy asked gently.

"...Heh..." Scourge groaned, rubbing his eyes to see a pink blob, and as his vision cleared, Amy was there in front of him. "...Oh... it's just you."

"What are you doing here?" Amy asked.

"I'm just here... why are you here." Scourge replied back in a low tone.

"I was out all day with Sonic!" Amy replied back with a smile. Though she stopped when he saw his growl and a dangerous look in his eyes. There was silence for a brief moment, with the slightest chirps from the Flicky. "...Let's just, head home," She declared.

And so, the pair did. The rain had let up, making it a clear sky with a full moon, illuminating both hedgehogs. They didn't seem to say a word to each other.

"...So Scourge, how was your day today?" Amy asked. She was walking next to him.

"Good. I went to see Breezie again. She is soooooo hot." Scourge replied with a smug smile.

"I see. That's good," Amy said with a nod.

They were approaching the shops again and the pinkette ran ahead, leaving Scourge to be slightly annoyed. She was looking at a shop that was closed with stars in her eyes.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Scourge asked in annoyance.

"...One day this bakery is gonna be mine!" Amy exclaimed, looking at the shop display.

"Why are you so excited for this crap? No one's gonna buy some stupid sweets, they don't want to become a fat ass." Scourge grumbled.

Amy glared at him before she let out a cough. It was the second cough of the day. It seemed to be a hard cough.

"Let's just go home, you're gonna make me sick, you zombie." Scourge said, cringing. He brushed past her and continued walking. He had a big frown while Amy looked a bit solemn.

"...Why are you so grumpy?" Amy inquired, turning her head slightly.

"Because you're here!" He growled at her in a volume just enough for the pinkette to hear him.

Amy didn't say anything as they already made it to her place. She unlocked the door and Scourge immediately went up to the kitchen.

"Did you make anything while I was away at least?" He asked, scanning the fridge for food.

"No, I was out all day, remember?" Amy replied. "Though I did buy you some fast food,"

"Oh really?" Scourge inquired, raising an eyebrow ridge.

"Yeah, I hope you like it!" Amy said with a beam.

Scourge didn't reply as he opened a bag from Burger Hut and had a bite. A few seconds later, he spit out and gagged on his food.

"GROSS! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS SHIT?!" Scourge cried out.

"It's Burger Hut?" Amy replied.

"Ugh! Are you so useless that you can't even make me a burger? Jeez, you're trying to poison me!" Scourge said, as he was walking towards his room.

"Hmph. Well EXCUSE ME for having time for myself! You aren't a baby you know, you can do things by yourself." Amy said with a huff. Scourge stopped in his tracks as a record scratch was heard. It was silent, until...

"YOU PIECE OF SHIT! I AM YOUR KING!" Scourge said with a snarl. "DON'T YOU FUCKING TELL ME WHAT TO DO! YOU PINK MONSTER!"

Amy had a red tick mark by her as she summoned her hammer. The green hedgehog stumbled back a bit.

"...You're a fucking jerk, Scourge. You know that." Amy spat. Scourge just stared at her a bit in shock, and went back to his room pouting moments later.

Amy sighed out loud as she sat at her dining table once more, coughing a bit. Why in the world was Scourge such a jerk to her? She did all she took to make him feel at home and everything. She took a handkerchief, and saw another thing that was peculiar.

She saw rose petals.
