Chapter 29
Meanwhile at the Kyoto School…
"I kid you not, that boy iced the curse like it was nothing, but, he also had markings appear over his body, I don't know if we should be careful of him if that's the case…" Jigoku was going over her report on the 'field trip' she took with Suo and Kiyoshi Itadori. The children they rescued had some cuts but nothing serious from the operation.
However, her focus was on Itadori. "So, he is hiding his elemental power?" asked Roark.
She paused and shook her head. "I think it is the power he knows well, for ever since he has come here. I have only seen him use curse energy due to the fact that it was necessary in the lesson. Kiyoshi has been challenged to four fights, in those four fights I witnessed him use elemental over curse. Even so, if one looks at the fights as well… he hardly used that power too. If anything, Kiyoshi Itadori… is holding himself back for the sake of others."
The room went silent. Roark nodded to this in agreement. "The same goes for Ryoto." He said. "I have personally taken on his lessons, but at the same time, much has changed in our absence, the new dragons for one. But, there was something of interest brought to my attention. Kira told me the dragon that came here the other day, was none other than the student she was attempting to purchase from the Zen'in clan… Toji Zen'in" he stated.
The room paused to this. "The sorcerer killer. We found his records to, but according to those, Satoru Gojo killed him during the star plasma vessel incident. After he completed his mission… he killed the star plasma vessel herself." Jigoku explained.
"Still, Kira knew it was him by the scar on his lip. Meaning that there are others who came back from the dead like us. But the question is, how are they becoming dragons and why? Who is doing this?" Roark asked. "Unless this is the work of Lady Tiamat?"
"I don't see why she wouldn't do this if given the chance, this is also her world, so she can do as she sees fit." Jigoku replied. "But, Toji also had a child… a newborn dragon that somehow made its way here… how ironic that your student has the dragon connection, no?"
He forced a smile to the notion. "I've been thinking about that more and more. The strange thing is, this Ryoto kid… I see Yua in him."
She paused to the notion. "Is he blood then?"
"I am not trusting myself with that notion. I am so… desperate to see my daughter again. I want to know she is okay, I want her to know that we're okay now too… the council will never target her again… and if Kenjaku shows his stitched head here. I will take it from his shoulders myself!"
"Save some for the rest of us"
Roark sighed. "But I know we cannot rush this either, we have to be patient on all of this. At the same time, I know Kenjaku won't tolerate us being here either. He likes to have his plans go accordingly…" he paused to this and sighed. "I have also heard rumors of alchemist coming here as well…"
Jigoku paused to this. "There was that stupid rumor about our blood wasn't there?" she asked.
Roark sighed. "It's not a rumor." He said. "I have read up in the books, there are alchemist books that have our blood as part of the recipe. Now, who would know that our blood works for sorcerers like them?" he asked curiously.
She sneered at the news. "I really want to personally PLUCK ever little stitch out of that brow of his…" she growled lowly.
"I rather have them dealt with sooner than later, there are no practical uses for alchemist especially when their recipes involve taking something vital from a living creature." Roark explained.
"Then, could we be of assistance?"
The door was opened ever so slightly, but peering in was Trigun and Yami.
"Brother…" Jigoku muttered.
"Good to see you too sister," Yami said and smiled. "Granted, I know this sort of thing is more to your liking, but I must insisted on Trigun and I handling the Alchemists."
"May I ask why?" Roark questioned. "This isn't something to take lightly…"
"Fully aware," Yami said gently, but he peered to Trigun. "Would you like to explain the idea?"
He smiled proudly and stepped forward. Trigun looked to Roark and to Jigoku. "We will take them out, however, we are going to bring them back here." He decreed.
"We don't need any more bodies at the moment, the phoenix clause paces itself…" Jigoku warned.
Trigun smiled. "Oh, I don't mean we are using the bodies like that. If anything, how would you like a few more versions of ME around here?" he asked as his smile grew.
"What do you mean by that?" questioned Jigoku. Granted, not even she knows much about Trigun, she's been monitoring the students and those with great potential.
"If anything, I am going to be meeting with Trigun's creator once more within a couple of day. He wanted to catch up on our progress and see the school grounds, he is in fact a dragon…" Yami explained.
"These things are coming up more and more… would he be concerned with what is happening to the alchemists?" Roark asked.
Yami shook his head. "Personally, if anything. I do believe that the dragon would be willing to help us, take into consideration that the alchemists have been stealing and harming living beings for the sake of one experiment."
"Master has told me that his children have discovered little creatures without wings, some are missing other parts of their bodies, those with tails are hacked off and they don't have a chance to regrow or regenerate. Many are not capable of such healing methods." Trigun explained.
"As such, he would be VERY interested in these alchemists… at the same time they will become rather loyal to my master. We can use their knowledge to in using that power for other means and recreating some notions that could be useful without the harming of living beings."
Was that it? Enslave the Alchemists to do their bidding? Then again, she doesn't really know what Trigun is at this point either.
She peered to Roark curiously, he was deep in thought on the notion. At the moment, the Alchemists know of Yua, and no doubt she will be a prime target for them. At the same time, if they have association with Kenjaku, they will be targets as well. It's not like they can't take down alchemists, but it's the notion that they are not registered as sorcerers and can be seen as taken out innocent civilians.
No doubt he has weighed those options.
"Let me speak with the human representative and see his view on the matter. As much as I wish to take them down, we cannot without just cause." He said. "Granted, the old council would have had these people dead by now…"
No word of a lie there, hell, they pulled out all the stops when it came to taking out Kira. Still, she understands his perspective as well as decision. It would undermined the whole process if they acted on their own accord, thus why they need to keep the Japanese government informed.
"Until I have had words with the representative, you are permitted to monitor, nothing more. Any action taken will be considered a lone wolf attack, as well… we will not come to your defense otherwise, is that clear?" Roark demanded.
Yami nodded, Trigun gave him a wink. "No problem." He said and smiled it off.
Jigoku had a bad feeling about this, it was all in the way Trigun worded it.
They don't have to worry about taking the lives of those hunting them, specially if they are coming to their side anyways… but how they are going to do it is what concerns them…
