HAPPY NEW YEAR!
This is the first chapter of 2024 and the story is still going strong! As a matter of fact, I've been working on which Tales From The Pizzaplex stories I will adapt into FNaF: Obsolete, even creating a list of stories I want to adapt, as well as writing out previews for each story. You can read the previews on my Tumblr account (you can find the link on my profile) or just PM me about the list and the previews.
Enjoy the chapter!

Showtime Chica stirred, slowly opening her eyes, which glowed yellow for a moment, only to return to their usual lavender colour. She felt stiff, as if her joints had rusted and she could barely move. It took a moment for her system to process that she was lying down on a table, with Sam looking over her.
''Chica, you there?'' she asked.
''Y-Yeah…'' Chica replied, trying to sit up, with Sam immediately placing her hands on her back.
''Be careful, I don't want you to break down again,'' she said, helping Chica lean forward. ''Can you move? I did run a diagonostic, but I would have to see you walk around to make sure that everything is fine.''
''O-Okay…'' Chica replied, rubbing her temple. ''I feel like I had been hit by a truck, though.''
''That doesn't sound good… But it is also possible that this is just your system readjusting after you had been turned off for hours,'' Sam replied. ''Could you please lift your arms? First the right, then the left, then both.''
Chica nodded and did as told, with Sam carefully examining each arm to make sure they worked properly. She was then told to lift her legs, followed by moving her head. From Sam's look of satisfaction, everything appeared to be in order.
''Okay, now do the 360⁰ head turn, Exorcist-style,'' Sam joked, causing Chica to chuckle.
''You know that I can't do that,'' the chicken animatronic replied in an amused tone.
''Right, I was just making sure that you really can't do that, because that would mean I would still have more work ahead of me,'' Sam replied. ''Can you stand up?''
''I can try,'' Chica said, getting up from the table, only to almost lose her balance, with Sam pushing her back to sit down. Chica shook her head. ''I feel like everything is upside-down.''
''That shouldn't be possible,'' Sam muttered, reaching for the nearby tablet she used to examine the animatronics' systems. ''I made sure that your program was running as it should. I think you should just remain still for a while until you feel better.''
Both of them heard the door opening, turning to see Anthelm entering the room. ''How's Chica?''
''I'm… fine, I guess,'' Chica replied in an uncertain tone, waving at the manager.
''At least you're awake. I was already fearing that we would have to replace you completely… No offense,'' Kylie replied, quickly adding the last part when she saw Chica's horrified expression. She then turned to Sam. ''I wanted to ask you for a report on the damages.''
Sam gave her the tablet, which also had a document to record any damages or changes to the animatronic, the list being quite extensive. ''I have repaired Chica to the best of my ability, and I'm certain that she's fully functionable. However, in my professional opinion, it would be better for her to either stay here and recover.''
''But, I need to go out there and help my friends. I am also scheduled for a birthday party today,'' Chica protested. Kylie shook her head.
''The birthday party was already an hour ago. I had sent Foxy to deal with them,'' she explained, with Chica looking solemn.
''H-How look have I been here?'' she asked.
''Several hours,'' Sam said. ''The damage was much worse than I had been told.''
''Well, you can bet that someone is going to pay for it,'' Kylie replied, typing on the tablet and sending report to her personal e-mail. She then returned the tablet to Sam. ''Would it be possible for Chica to take on some easier work?''
''I suppose, but someone would have to watch over her,'' Sam replied.
''I think that can be arranged,'' Kylie replied, walking out of the room. Chica, who was a bit relieved to hear that she would be going back to work, turned to Sam.
''I don't understand. How come that the damage was this bad?'' she asked.
''From what Anthelm had told me, those guys had ambushed you and knocked you down, and from the damage I've seen, it seems like they were using some kind of blunt object to do that, followed by ripping out the wires that kept you working,'' Sam explained. ''Once you were down, it was easy for them to try and stuff pizza down your throat, except for the fact that, as an animatronic, you cannot even eat that.''
''I see,'' Chica muttered, only to realize that her dress was unusually clean. She pointed at it with a questioning look. ''Uh…''
''Every Showtime Animatronic is supposed to have a set of spare clothing in case of having food or something else spilled over them,'' Sam explained.
''Oh, right… I forgot,'' Chica said as she remembered that. ''I hope my memory bank still works properly.''
''I'm sure it does. You're currently under shock, which is why I said that you should stay and recover. However, if you want to work, maybe you should stay with Puppet and help her out. I'd rather have you stay in one place than roam around,'' Sam replied. Chica nodded.
''I guess I'll have to leave the waitressing job to the others,'' she said, slowly getting up. She still felt a bit unsure on her legs, but she could walk. Sam grabbed her arm, holding her firmly, and they walked out of the back room.
Once reaching the main area, Chica realized that it was the afternoon rush, as all of the employees were occupied keeping the patrons satisfied. However, she was approached by Freddy, Bonnie and Foxy for a moment, who were all relieved to see her being okay.
''I know that we shouldn't be attacking the patrons, but I would've loved to give those brats a piece of my mind,'' Bonnie said angrily.
''Aye! Me too!'' Foxy added.
''Thanks for being worried about me guys. I'm sorry for getting myself in this situation,'' Chica replied. Freddy shook his head.
''Don't worry, this is none of your fault. You should just try to focus on recovering, while we take care of the rest,'' he told her, with Chica nodding. She and Sam walked over to Puppet, who was just as relieved to see that her friend was fine.
''Chica will be helping you handing out the prizes,'' Sam told Puppet, walking over to a nearby table and grabbing a chair for Chica, placing it then next towards the Prize Box. ''I don't want her to walk around at least for the rest of the day.''
''Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on her,'' Puppet said, with the small group being approached by Springtrap.
''Are you also here to check on me?'' Chica asked.
''I am, but I trust that Sam had managed to a good job fixing you,'' Springtrap replied. Chica nodded in response.
''I feel okay… for the most part,'' she replied. ''I just wish this didn't happen.''
''Believe me, everyone is thinking the same,'' Puppet replied, turning to Sam. ''Is there anything specific I should watch out for?''
''Just make sure she doesn't fall over or malfunction. I would've been doing this myself, but I have to leave for the Pizzaplex in about half an hour,'' Sam replied.
''What are you going to do there?'' Chica asked.
''I suppose I'll be continuing with my training. Yesterday, I was just given a tour,'' Sam explained. ''I still need to see how the Glamrock Endoskeletons actually work.''
''Then, I wish you luck with that. Both of you,'' Puppet said, glancing at both Sam and Springtrap. ''Keep us updated if you find anything of interest.''
''We will,'' Sam replied in a firm tone.
xXx
''As you see, we have enough spare endoskeletons here to keep the Glamrocks running for a long time,'' Victor said, pointing at the endoskeletons that were left in the Warehouse. ''They are all brand new, state-of-the-art and completely waterproof. However, I wouldn't recommend throwing them into water, because even if they wouldn't rust, you never know about the possibility of damaging them.''
''So, am I going to use one of those to learn how to work on a Glamrock Animatronic?'' Sam asked. Victor nodded.
''Fortunately, we have enough spares for this,'' he replied. ''However, Fazbear Entertainment will demand that the endoskeleton in question is to be brought back in the condition we have found it.''
Sam and Springtrap exchanged knowing looks, both sighing and saying in unison, ''Of course they would.''
''I suppose we could deal with that later. I still haven't shown you the Utility Tunnels,'' Victor continued. ''These are only accessible to staff or those with a high enough clearance. They all connect to the different attractions and make it easier for us to do the work we don't want the patrons to see.''
''So, it's basically like those underground tunnels at Disney World.'' Sam stated.
''Exactly.'' The three followed a corridor, eventually emerging at the back of Bonnie Bowl. ''See? Now, all you need to do is to remember which tunnel goes where so you don't get lost.''
''I think it'll take me some time to get used to the tunnels,'' Sam said.
''I'm sure you will figure out things,'' Victor replied, waving at another co-worker who was delivering some boxes of supplies to Bonnie Bowl, stacking them on top of each other. ''There is a map of the tunnels, so I could make you a copy.''
''That would be great, thanks!'' Sam replied.
''Just make sure only you see the map to the tunnels. I don't want any non-employee to know about them, especially since I'm not supposed to give you a map of them,'' Victor told her, with Sam nodding.
''Excuse me, but would that mean that I'm also not privy to that information?'' Springtrap asked. Victor rose an eyebrow, pausing for a moment, then shaking his head.
''No, I don't think animatronics have to follow that rule, but it is preferrable if they don't roam down there. I suppose you're an exception since you act as Samantha's assistant,'' he said. ''Point is, the guests are not under any circumstances allowed into the Utilidors.''
''Got it,'' Sam replied in a firm tone. To their surprise, the group heard someone talking and spotted the Glamrock Band, as well as Montgomery, walking towards the bowling alley.
''What are you doing here?'' Victor asked them.
''We were told to test out the bowling alley,'' Glamrock Freddy explained.
''We finally got to play a game!'' Glamrock Chica cheered.
''Do you want to play?'' Roxanne asked, turning towards Sam. Sam just shook her head, giving her an apologetic smile.
''I'm sorry, but I'm here for my training. I cannot play with you,'' she replied.
''Too bad, but maybe that's for the better. I would've been able to beat you blindfolded,'' Roxanne bragged.
''Now, now, Roxy, you know who the real bowling expert here is, right?'' Glamrock Bonnie told her, holding a blue bowling ball.
''Tch, we'll see,'' Roxanne said. Bonnie didn't seem to mind her competitiveness, as he simply smiled back. ''How about this? We form two teams – girls against boys!''
''But, you guys are missing a member,'' Freddy pointed out, with Bonnie and Montgomery standing behind him. Roxanne stared at them for a moment, then glanced at Springtrap.
''Springtrap over there could join us,'' she said, pointing at the bunny animatronic. Springtrap gave her a bewildered look, having not expected this turn of events.
''Honestly, I'm not interested. I'm busy helping Sam, and besides, I'm not good at bowling…'' he trailed off when Roxanne spoke up.
''Don't worry, I've got enough talent to cover for you,'' she replied casually, causing Springtrap to glare daggers at her. Sam, on the other hand, chuckled at Roxanne's insult.
''You know, you could join them. I'll be fine on my own,'' she said, with Roxanne and Chica perking up and giving her a look of approval before turning their attention to a very unhappy Springtrap.
''Sam, stop throwing me under the bus!'' he hissed, but Sam just smirked back at him.
''Since we'll be around, you might as well get to know the other animatronics better,'' she told him, with Springtrap staring at her for a moment. He wasn't sure whether Sam was just messing with him or hinting towards him keeping an eye on the Glamrocks. Either way, he was now stuck with the Glamrock Band, and Montgomery.
''Hey, Victor!'' Victor, who had been observing the whole conversation before him with a look of amusement, turned to the person who called for him, that being the security guard who approache them. ''We need your help over here.''
''What's the matter Josh?'' he asked.
''One of your Mop S.T.A.F.F. Bots is going crazy at the bathrooms,'' Josh told him. ''I don't know whether it's glitching out or something else.''
Victor groaned, grumbling something under his breath, ''I had told them not to use the damn Mop Bots until I made sure they worked properly.''
''Mr. Crane, may I help you with the situation?'' Sam asked quickly. Victor paused for a moment, thinking about it.
''Well, I suppose you could…'' He glanced at Josh, who gave him a confused look. ''Oh, right, you haven't met yet. Josh, this is Samantha Blackburn, a technician sent over from the sister location for training. Samantha, this is Josh Huchon, the head security guard.''
''So, you are also on duty today?'' Josh said after greeting Sam, turning back to Victor. ''I've also gotten a new security guard to train. I was surprised when they told me she was sent over from the IT department.''
''Why would someone from the IT department want to be a security guard?'' Victor asked, confused. Josh shrugged.
''I dunno. I guess she was just tired of the office work and wanted to do something else? It still feels random, but hey, it's not my business so long as she does the job,'' he replied. The two, followed by Sam, then walked away.
Springtrap, on the other hand, ended up stuck with the other animatronics, thinking about his situation. Of course, he could spend time with the Glamrocks to learn more about them and figure out whether they had any more useful information for him. Then, he realized something.
''Wait a minute, if you needed another player, why didn't you ask the Daycare Attendant?'' he asked. The Glamrocks exchanged nervous glances with each other, as if trying to convince someone else to answer his question. Springtrap folded his arms across his chest, rising an eyebrow.
''Well, it is not like Sun is a bad person…'' Freddy started, only to get interrupted by Montgomery.
''Lemme explain this to ya in plain words – Sun is cuckoo for cocoa puffs,'' he said, doing a circling motion with his finger next to his head, indicating what everyone here was thinking; that Sun was just plain crazy.
''We don't really like to hang out with him,'' Chica added. ''He gives us bad vibes.''
''Yeah, that makes sense,'' Springtrap replied, remembering his own encounter with Sun. ''I don't really know what this would mean for the daycare.''
''If you ask me, they should've left Sun to work at the Fazbear Theatre,'' Roxanne told them, with Springtrap giving her a look of surprise. ''Ah, you didn't know? He was supposed to be a performer before becoming the Daycare Attendant.''
''I see… It seems to me that some of that performer personality is still there,'' Springtrap replied, only to hear Roxanne huff.
''Oh, if you think they had re-programmed him, you're wrong. They just told Sun that he was getting a new job and left it at that,'' she added.
''Really?'' Springtrap gave her a curious look. Admittedly, he wasn't too surprised about this revelation, as he knew all about Fazbear Entertainment's practices.
''Rest assured, we prefer to keep away from the daycare,'' Bonnie added, turning then to the rest of the group. ''Now, who wants to go first?''
Roxanne was, as expected, demanding that her team went first, with Springtrap sighing in resignation. He clearly wasn't interested in playing with them, but he had to go along with it to keep his cover. He had hoped that Sam would return soon, maybe with some new information in regards to the S.T.A.F.F. Bots and their erratic behavior, but as it turned out, things on his end weren't as peaceful as he thought they would be.
For the most part, the Glamrocks had a lot of fun, even Montgomery who, going by Springtrap's observations, felt quite out of place with the band. Roxanne and Bonnie had some kind of rivalry going on, both managing to get most strikes, and Roxanne gloating every time she made a perfect play. So far, the results were more or less the same, the wolf and bunny Glamrock carrying their teams, with Bonnie's team eventually winning the game. Roxanne scoffed, clearly being a sore loser, with Chica trying to cheer her up, while Springtrap couldn't care less about their loss. Bonnie, Freddy and Montgomery celebrated their win, with Montgomery, who seemed to have gotten more comfortable around the Glamrock Band, asking Bonnie to show him around the attraction.
Springtrap, who felt that there wasn't much more to learn about the Glamrocks, stood up from the bench he was sitting on, wondering what was taking Sam so long and wanting to find her. However, before he could leave, Freddy approached him with a sheepish look on his expression.
''I am sorry for me and my friends roping you in. You did not look too happy back there about our little game,'' Freddy told him. Springtrap just brushed him off.
''It's fine, but as I said, I'm not that interested in something like bowling,'' he told Freddy. Before Freddy could even respond, they all heard a sudden loud crash, their heads turning towards its source.
''Bonnie!'' Freddy immediately ran towards where Bonnie and Montgomery were a moment ago, followed by Chica and Roxanne, with Springtrap joining them, just as startled about what had happened.
Bonnie was lying under the boxes that had been stacked earlier, buried under the supplies, with a shocked Montgomery standing beside him, just narrowly having avoided the same fate. Freddy quickly stepped beside Bonnie, removing the boxes and heavy supplies, with Chica helping him get Bonnie up. Roxanne and Springtrap turned to Montgomery, who just stared at the mess before him.
''Monty, what happened?'' Roxanne asked in a demanding tone, snapping Montgomery out of his stunned state.
''Bonnie was leanin' against those boxes and they toppled over,'' he explained, clearly bewildered.
''Hey, Bonnie, wake up!'' Freddy called out for his closest friend, worry and fear clouding his eyes. ''Wake up!''
Bonnie's eyes were closed and the animatronic was without a response, causing Freddy to feeling a sense of dread. To his surprise, Springtrap suddenly appeared next to him, taking the lead. ''Freddy, you and Chica get Bonnie to Parts and Service. Roxanne, you and Montgomery should go find the technicians and tell them what happened.''
While the Glamrocks were surprised to see the newcomer animatronic suddenly issuing commands, they still followed them, as none of them were certain about what they were supposed to do in this situation. Freddy and Chica managed to get Bonnie up, placing his arms around their shoulders and moved towards Parts and Service, followed by Springtrap, while Roxanne and Montgomery raced off to find Victor and Sam.
''Hey, Roxy, how 'bout we split off and cover more ground? We don't really know where the technicians went, do we?'' Montgomery suggested.
''I guess you're right. I'll take the upstairs, then,'' Roxanne replied, taking the stairs. ''Bet I find them before you!''
''You do that, Roxy!'' Montgomery replied, starting to walk to the next area, only to stop when he realized that he was completely alone and there were no cameras in sight. Instead of hurrying up, he continued in a more leisurely stroll, his eyes narrowing, glowing in a faint blood red. ''Too bad that it wasn't enough. You brought this on yourself, Bonnie.''
xXx
''Well, I didn't expect that this is how your work on the Glamrocks would end up being,'' Victor said, sighing tiredly as he and Sam were finished repairing Glamrock Bonnie.
After Roxanne had informed them about the unfortunate accident, they quickly rushed over to Parts & Service, leaving the malfunctioning S.T.A.F.F. Bots behind as this case took priority. The last thing the Pizzaplex needed was having one of their star animatronics break down before the place had even opened. On the other hand, it also provided Sam with vital information in regard to how the Glamrock Animatronic worked, so it wasn't that bad.
''I just hope that Bonnie is going to be fine,'' Sam said, stepping back as Victor turned Bonnie on. The blue bunny took a moment for his systems to be completely restored, eventually waking up.
''Wh-What happened?'' Bonnie asked, taking a moment to process that he was in Parts & Service.
''I had hoped that you would be able to answer me that,'' Victor replied.
''I… I don't remember. I was with Monty, showing him around the attraction, and then everything suddenly turned black,'' Bonnie explained.
''We've been told that you accidentally knocked over the boxes of supplies and they fell all over you,'' Sam said. Bonnie's expression showed guilt.
''Really? I'm sorry for the trouble,'' he said.
''Well, it cannot be helped now,'' Victor said, standing up. ''Be more careful next time.''
Bonnie nodded, getting up and walking out of Parts & Service. He found Springtrap waiting outside the room, along with a worried Freddy, Chica, Roxanne and Montgomery. Freddy quickly hugged his dear friend in relief.
''I am so happy that you are okay!'' he said. Bonnie just patted him on the back.
''Yeah, me too,'' he said, with Freddy letting go of him. ''I cannot recall what had happened, though. I suppose my memory bank got damaged. I hope that this isn't a bad sign for the future. I cannot allow myself get damaged right before the grand opening.''
''You got really lucky there,'' Chica said, with Bonnie nodding.
Meanwhile, Springtrap turned to Sam as she exited Parts & Service, with both exchanging questioning glances, wondering just how much of what happened was an accident.
xXx
''Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex will open during the first weekend of December,'' Sam told the group gathered at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. ''From what Mr. Crane had told me, Fazbear Entertainment will be doing intense advertisement for the Pizzaplex, and he had even shown me what they will be selling.''
She reached for her backpack, revealing a mini hologram projector that displayed a holographic Glamrock Freddy, who proceeded with his spiel:
''Hey, kids! Do you want pizza?! Well, Fazbear Entertainment has spared no expense developing the world's most extreme family fun center – Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex! At three stories tall, it's the flashiest, raddest, rockingest, safest pizzeria the universe has ever seen. Of course Freddy and the band are excited to meet you! Utilizing the latest in animatronic technology, you can actually party with the stars themselves. So, on your next birthday, let Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex make you a SUPERSTAR!''
''Woah, this is actually really cool!'' Matt said, being quite impressed by the holographic display. The Showtime Animatronics, while stunned, weren't too happy about it, especially considering their own troubles.
It had been a week since the incident at both Freddy's and the Pizzaplex involving Showtime Chica and Glamrock Bonnie, and Sam had spent that time focusing on three things: her work as a technician at Freddy's, her training at the Pizzaplex, and school work. She would share all the information she and Springtrap had gathered with the Showtimes, Matt and Emma, making sure that everyone was up to date, but nothing of significance had happened in the past days. Nevertheless, they had all appreciated the gesture, with Matt being quite excited to hear that the Pizzaplex would be opening at the start of next month.
''I suppose that those projectors will be sold here,'' Springtrap said. ''It would be a good way to promote the Pizzaplex.''
Sam nodded. ''Yeah, they will be selling them here at a heavy discount. I guess Fazbear Entertainment decided not to be cheap with this since they believe that they will make a lot of money in return.''
''I will be honest, I really feel nervous about all of this,'' Chica said, with her friends giving her a curious look. ''I mean, the Pizzaplex will draw a lot of attention, and we will have to promote it. I know that people will still visit our Pizzeria, but everyone will obviously flock to the Pizzaplex.''
''Well, see it this way,'' Bonnie started. ''We would finally get a well deserved vacation.''
''I'm not sure whether I'd want a vacation, matey,'' Foxy said. Freddy turned to Sam and Springtrap.
''What about you two? I assume you'll be there on opening day,'' he asked.
''Yeah,'' Sam replied. ''Mr. Crane had told me that I would have to be present there in case something goes wrong. Since it's the grand opening, they want all available technicians to be on site to make sure everything will be fine. I had already gone through training in regards to what to do in an emergency.''
''While you and Mr. Afton will be roaming around in the background, I'll blend in with the masses to see what it it's like for a normal patron,'' Matt said. Sam nodded in acknowledgement, only to turn to Springtrap when he started speaking.
''How are you doing, Sam?'' he asked. Sam just smiled in response.
''Better than ever, but I also feel a bit tired of having to keep track of everything,'' she admitted. She then shook her head. ''Nevertheless, I am just as nervous and excited as everyone else is.''
xXx
''…The man with the scalpel looked down at Pete. 'Good job, kid. You're going to help a lot of people.' He retrieved small forceps with his other hand. The second man turned on a small buzz saw, the blade spinning into a circular blur. 'Let's get to work.' Pete began to hear Foxy's music play in his head… You can be a pirate, but first you'll have to lose an eye and an arm! Yarg! Pete watched in helpless horror as the first man leaned down to take his eyes...''
Springtrap observed his audience as they stared back at him in horror. He was back to his usual work, telling horror stories to whoever wanted to listen to him, and probably also traumatizing them for the rest of their life. He was actually quite proud of his story, one he titled ''Step Closer'', but usually, his audience would be a bit more vocal about their opinion on the story, whether they liked it or not. Instead, they stood before him, completely paralyzed and overwhelmed by the sensation of fear and dread. Springtrap knew that he could be quite intimidating, but he had no idea that something like this might happen.
''…He braced himself and slammed down on the START button. He waited for the curtain to pull back.. for Foxy to begin to sing… But nothing happened. All Chuck heard was complete silence.''
Springtrap ended the story, giving them a rather theatrical bow, his eyes glowing in a bright purple as he smirked at them. The five teenagers still stared at him in terror, seemingly unable to move. However, as the purple glow in Sprigtrap's eyes faded, the teenagers suddenly gasped hungrily for air, all of them looking like they had just woken up from a nightmare.
''Man, what was that…'' one of the guys in the group said as they left, all four of them discussing their unnerving experience.
Springtrap remained standing in the corner, hands folded on his back and a smug look on his expression. To his audience, this was just a horror story. To him, this was an experiment. Ever since he was told by Foxy that he had caused the latter to feel a sense of dread and fear, Springtrap started wondering what exactly had happened and why it felt so familiar. He could recall something similar happening when he confronted Sam's former friends, but when he thought more about it, he figured that he always had an intimidating presence.
Now, this intimidating presence turned into a power Springtrap could control consciously. However, it wasn't easy figuring out what exactly he could do and how to do it, and he spent days thinking about it, only to realize that this was not different from his past experiences with other spirits. From what he had learned, spirits were able to use a powers specific to them, best seen when the ghost children made him suffer from hallucinations. Since he was a spirit too, it was only natural that he too would manifest some kind of power of his own, but at the time, he thought that the only thing he could do was to return from the afterlife as a bunny animatronic.
I always come back. Springtrap chuckled at the irony.
However, now that he had more experience with being in his new animatronic body, as well as more information about the supernatural in general, he realized that he might be able to actually to do more than just… exist, for a lack of better words. So, learning that he had a power of his own was quite uself and he immediately started to experiment with it.
Over the past days, he started to understand how this power worked, how to control it and its limits. It appeared that he was able to cast such an intimidating presence that everyone in his vicinity would feel a sense of paralyzing dread and fear, which ranged in strength from his victims just sensing it and feeling unsettled to becoming fully paralyzed. It appeared that this power best worked on one person or on a small group, usually up to five people, but he doubted that he would be able to do the same with large crowds. That was mainly because of another factor that added to this power.
This power needs to have intent behind it, Springtrap noted. I need to make them fear me, fear for their own life. I need to have the intent to murder, or at least seriously harm them.
Once he understood fully how his power worked, Springtrap started to practice. Obviously, he couldn't just go around and murder people, but his status as a Storyteller allowed him to come up with gruesome scenarios that allowed his power to manifest. It felt quite insane that he was capable of something like that, but at the same time, he figured that it was to be expected. Rest assured, it would be incredibly useful to him going forward.
I wish I knew I was able to use this ability back when I had to deal with those ghost children. Springtrap sighed in annoyance. It would've made my life much easier. Springtrap then shook his head at the thought, well aware that it didn't matter. After all, I brought this on myself.
