The local Xander and Faith arrived within minutes of each other and couldn't help but stare at the new addition to the Library.

"What -?." Faith started to ask.

"Magic, another reality." The younger looking Xander answered. "So, fictional vampire, huh? Just how screwed are you?"

"I can read minds and according to the books, control humans if I want to. I've been calling myself a techno vampire because it's microscopic machines that make me what I am. From Atlantis."

"I take it not the Stargate one."

I'm pretty sure that would be worse, given the human form ones are homicidal toward humans." The local answered, confusing Giles and Faith.

"True, but at least Buffy didn't turn you into a necromancer with her wish. Being able to sense and control the dead, including vampires, not fun."

The local Xander grimaced. "So, how do we fix this?"

"There's a trace of Magic on him." Giles answered. "We can use it to trace the origin of the Magic and hopefully find whoever did this."

"And get me back home, Cordy's been great about the freakiness, but you know how she is if she thinks you're flaking on her."

"Yeah, she ranks it up there with tact as one of the sins to be avoided." Local Xander agreed. "Well, let's go exploring and see what we can find."

What they found was an unconscious Amy in a classroom and an open book beside her.

"I doubt Amy would do this on purpose." Local Xander decided, as he checked for a pulse and to his relief, found it. "The spell on the page here is for finding something that's lost and although I lost the life I had before due to Buffy's wish, I don't see how that translates to another version of me showing up who also lost the life he had thanks to Buffy's wish. So, let's get her back to the Library and you, Giles, can check her magically and see if she's alright. We may need to take her to the hospital." He gently picked his friend's limp body up and carried her the Library where he laid her on the table and stepped back so Giles could examine her.

"She's exhausted her energies." Giles found. "Not just her magical energies, whatever she was trying to do took more energy than she anticipated and pulled from her body's natural energies as well. She's unconscious because she's so exhausted. With rest she'll recover."

"There's a way to transfer energy, natural energy, from one person to another." The younger Xander said. "At least the Magic inherent to the fictional universe the person who's abilities I've gained knew of a way. Is there a way in this universe?"

Giles looked thoughtful and then nodded. "There should be, let me check my books. Although I'm not sure if Amy would need to pull the energy herself or if we can transfer it on our own. I may be able to adapt a spell to work. You're familiar with Magic?" He asked the younger Xander.

"The necromancer ability is one Anita inherited, it's magical. In her universe the supernatural is known to the world at large. The vampires aren't demons and are far more powerful than the local version. An Executioner is required by law to have a execution warrant to hunt specific vampires, not vampires in general. Her day job is to legally and temporarily raise the dead to question them in legal cases. Consequently she knows a lot about the law, which means I do too. Which includes investigating cases that involve vampires, were creatures of various sorts and Magic. She's also trained in judo and kenpo, most bladed weapons and guns."

"And you have all of that information as part of what you've become?" Giles asked.

"Yep, on top of the soldier knowledge from last Halloween." The younger Xander answered. "But, like I said, there's more freakiness and I'll wait until the rest get here to explain it. Especially since some of it concerns Buffy. I'm just glad it's information and not personal memories. She really gets around, as in a lot of lovers. I do not need memories of sex with a vampire or a were leopard or a werewolf or any of the other lovers she's got."

"Yeah, we want our own memories of sex, not someone else's." Local Xander agreed.

Younger Xander's eyes glazed for a moment and then he jerked himself back. "Sorry, my eighteenth birthday was last month. Cordy wore something real nice and I was very appreciative."

Faith smirked. Local Xander looked hopeful. "My eighteenth birthday is less then two weeks away, maybe my Cordy's got plans."

"I found a spell." Giles, who had been ignoring the conversation between the three, now spoke. "She'll recover more quickly if we all give some of our energy to her. Each of you place a hand over her body, approximately an inch above her and I'll recite the spell."

He demonstrated and the three did so as well, while Giles recited the spell. They each felt some of their energy being pulled from them and transfered into Amy's body. After a moment Giles withdrew his hand and the others did too. Amy slowly opened her eyes.

"Oh, Hecate, that's a killer headache." She muttered and looked around. "Crap, what happened?" She asked, staring at the two Xanders.

"Perhaps if you could explain what you were doing it would help us understand what's happened." Giles suggested.

"I was helping a beginner witch find a necklace she inherited from her grandmother. It connects her spiritually to the women of her family who came before her. She was concerned it might have been stolen by someone who wanted to do something bad with it. It was just after Cordelia explained to me what happened to Xander when I asked her how she's doing, since I thought he was dead."

"You were concerned about his condition and than attempted a spell. You weren't centered enough to able to work the Magic at that time." Giles said gently. "The witch you were helping seems to have abandoned you. What was her name? We should find her and question her."

"She said her name is Anya."

"Anya?" Both Xander chorused.

"Anyanka! The demon that granted the wish!" The local Xander exclaimed. "The others destroyed her power center while I was being transformed, they hoped it would undo the wish, instead it only undid the last wish she granted."

"Same for me." The younger Xander said. "And it was a necklace."

"She wants her power back." Faith concluded. "And tried to trick Amy here into helping her."

"Than I need to explain to her that I don't appreciate that." Amy grumbled. "Anyone else want in on that conversation?"

"I do!"
