Thank you to everyone who has favorited, followed or reviewed this fic so far.
I think the initial encounters should be finished by this chapter or the next max.
Enjoy.
Guest 1: Thank you for the review. Yeah, she will be very shocked for sure. Yeah, Angel will be the one telling her. Arguments are definitely gonna happen. You'll see on Peter.
Guest 2: Thank you for the review. GOW Thor literally looks nothing like the MCU version, even when he was fat. Even his hammer looks different. People would just think its some random evil guy with lightning powers calling himself 'Thor'. Plus the mist took him away before he could really get a lot of attention.
Chapter 4- Reunions and talks
Clark, Zack, The Doctor, Angel, Tara, Sam, Dean, Paige and Yusuke reached the Sanctum at last (after a very awkward car ride in the Impala for some of them, as they needed more space than what the Impala provided, and ultimately, Paige had ended up on Tara's lap).
"We will not speak about that ride again", Paige whispered to Tara.
"Nope, never", Tara agreed with a nod.
The Doctor asked. "So…this is it?"
"I'd say so", Tara admitted, just as the doors opened, and they all walked inside, except Angel, who realized a barrier was stopping him.
"Oh no!" Angel groaned.
"What's the matter?" Sam asked him.
"I need to be invited in", Angel admitted.
"So you're a Vampire", Clark noted, Angel nodding with a sigh. Clark had sensed the guy didn't have a beating heart and felt different, but he was trying to help so he hadn't brought it up till now.
"Really? You don't look like the ones I faced", Paige told him.
"Oh yeah, and why shouldn't we take you out right now?" Dean asked.
"Because he has a soul", Tara revealed.
"What does that mean?" Sam asked.
"When someone becomes a Vampire, they lose their soul so their conscience leaves them. Angel's soul was returned to him so he is good", Tara said, shocking Sam, Dean and Paige with that explanation.
"Different Vampires from ours", Dean had to say.
"Same", Paige added.
"There is no such thing as magic, though I can see you all believe it", The Doctor noted, getting weird looks. "I admit Vampires are real, and I've had experience of what could be souls separate from minds once or twice, but the important thing is that magic itself isn't a thing in my experience."
"What did you think I was then?" Tara inquired.
"A psychic!" The Doctor said in response, weirding her out.
"You clearly don't know much, especially with the bow tie on you", Dean commented, offending The Doctor.
"Bow ties are cool! And I know a lot!"
"Yeah, sure", Dean shrugged sarcastically.
"Well, owner of this place, we're here, come on!" Yusuke called out, and then Strange appeared, hovering above them.
"Who are you all?" Strange inquired.
"We've pulled here from different places, and we came here because we know this is the source of it", Paige replied. "We want to be sent back." Suddenly, she narrowed her eyes. "Are you Doctor Strange?"
"Huh? He does look like him", Dean noted, then looked at Clark before turning to Strange. "So you're real too, eh?"
"How do you know who I am?" Strange inquired.
"You exist as comic books in some of our worlds", Tara revealed, to his shock.
"That's new", Strange said, before telling Angel. "You can come in."
Angel walked in, straightening his duster as Strange said. "A spell went wrong here and you've all been pulled from different worlds and different times in your worlds. We will gather everyone and send you all back."
"Good thing, I need to get back quickly", Zack said, thinking about Cloud, hoping he was fine. Well, as fine as one could be under a mako-induced coma.
"So we got more, huh?"
All turned to see Sora, Roxas, Xion, Lea, Terra, Ven and Aqua walk in.
"Got more people from your end too I see", Strange noted, Sora nodding.
Terra, Ven and Aqua suddenly looked at Zack as Aqua asked. "Zack?"
"You know me?" Zack asked in shock, then smirked at Aqua. "If I met you, I'd remember."
Aqua blushed a bit, before Terra realized. "So you're a different Zack", he turned to Sora, "just like your friend."
"Wait, there's another Zack?" Zack asked in shock.
"Some different worlds can house different versions of you", Strange explained to the confused Zack. "Anyways, if you want to stay here, there are arrangements, if you want to go out and find people from other worlds, troublemaker or not, here you go." Magical gauntlets appeared on the wrists of everyone. "All right, let's get to work."
"You have to admit, that is magic", Clark said to The Doctor. He'd seen enough of it to know what was what.
"No, they just think it is!" The Doctor replied, getting some chuckles and eyerolls from the rest.
Gandalf felt a great power as he walked on this road, still finding the world strange due to how different it was from his own. The world had changed in the fires of industry.
At that moment, there was lightning in the area, Gandalf wondering if it was Thor. The lightning shattered many cars and broke the road apart.
When the dust cleared, Gandalf saw a large, old man in white robes, wearing golden gauntlets, lightning around him.
"Who are you and what is your purpose?" Gandalf demanded, causing the man to glare at him angrily.
"You dare to question ZEUS?! THE GOD OF THUNDER?!" With a roar, he hurled lightning at Gandalf, who held up his shield, barely blocking it, though the force of it sent him alongside his shield staggering backwards, and he gritted his teeth.
When Zeus stopped, Gandalf lowered his shield and slammed his staff on the ground, causing a shockwave that toppled the cars and sent Zeus staggering back a bit.
Roaring, he made to fire again when Gandalf unleashed a bright light from the staff, briefly blinding him, before Zeus roared and hurled lightning in Gandalf's direction blindly.
That was when Dante jumped in the way, blocking the lightning with his sword as he asked Gandalf. "You all right, old man?"
"I thank you for your assistance, Dante", Gandalf said with a nod, as Dante turned towards Zeus, while Atreus appeared on the scene too.
"You all dare to think you can strike Zeus? The King of Olympus?!" Zeus said in anger, and Atreus' eyes widened in horror.
"Zeus….." He whispered, making Zeus turn to him. "But…..my father had slain you…" Then he remembered Strange's explanation and realized what was going on. "No…"
"Your father?" Zeus questioned, then suddenly had an epiphany as he realized who this boy was speaking. "It is nice to meet you, my grandson. I will say I am going to send you to the Underworld, but your buffoon of a father killed my brother and all the souls escaped. So I will just slay you and then have your father follow!"
Zeus fired some lightning as Atreus fired a sonic arrow at the same time, the arrow clashing with the lightning and causing a shockwave that made all but Dante staggered back a bit.
"Well, this was fun, but it ends here", Dante said before speeding to Zeus, shocking the Greek God at how fast he'd moved, before he punched Zeus hard, sending him flying off and crashing to the ground.
"How?!" Zeus asked, holding his face in pain as he tried to stagger up.
"You ain't the biggest deal around", Dante said as Zeus fired some lightning at Dante, who was hit and thrown back, singed badly.
To Zeus' horror, Dante leapt back up, his wounds already healing, before he charged Zeus with his sword, Zeus barely dodging it, but then Dante kneed his chest, sending him flying off and spitting out some blood.
As Zeus groaned on the ground, he too was covered by the dark mist and when it disappeared, he was gone.
"Again…" Gandalf noted grimly. "Someone is gathering all of those who oppose us."
"Million-dollar question is what for", Dante muttered.
"So now not only Thor, but Zeus is here too", Atreus said with a sigh. "Zeus was the King of the Olympians; he is my grandfather. He and my father had a huge conflict, and it ended with my father killing all the Olympians, including him."
"And I thought my family was messed up", Dante muttered.
Sanctum Sanctorum
Sam started. "Look Dean, I know I-"
"It doesn't matter anymore, Sammy", Dean said, holding out his hand as his brother grasped it. "None of those damn things matter anymore."
"I…I don't understand", Sam replied, still not getting why Dean was behaving like this with him.
"Sammy, Lucifer was defeated, but…..but I lost you", Dean revealed, horrifying Sam.
Sam tried to speak, but stuttered. "You….you mean…."
"I am from the future for you, Sammy", Dean revealed, finally letting the tears out. "You were Lucifer's perfect vessel. I was the same for Michael but I didn't wanna be taken, so he brought back Adam and possessed him."
That shocked Sam even more as Dean continued. "But then you regained control and threw yourself and Michael into the Cage, alongside Lucifer. But you…." Dean tried to wipe his tears. "I lost you Sammy."
He grabbed Sam tightly in a hug, never wanting to let go again. "I won't lose you again!"
"Oh Dean!" Sam said, crying himself now. "I'm sorry, Dean, for messing up so badly. I'm so sorry."
"It doesn't matter anymore", Dean assured him as they parted, still having tears in their eyes, but feeling better, before Dean suddenly remembered something. "Sammy, the Yellow-Eyed bastard is here too."
"What?" Sam asked in surprise, Dean nodding.
"He is, but that kid with me? Yusuke? He beat the guy black and blue", Dean added, and now Sam started imagining the scene just for his own satisfaction.
"Kid must be powerful", Sam noted.
"Oh yeah, he totally is", Dean said with a smirk.
Elsewhere in New York, Strange was walking down a street, having tracked another of their visitors there. He was scanning the street when he paused.
Standing a few feet away was a dark haired, bearded man who was dressed in what Strange could only describe as rags. Strange also saw a sword on his hip, a quiver on his back and a bow in one hand.
Determining with ease this was who he had tracked, Strange approached him cautiously. But the stranger seemed to sense him as, before he was within a few feet of the man, the man had drawn his bow with an arrow and taken aim at Strange.
"State your business," the man said coldly.
"Okay, let's calm down," Strange said, raising his hands as he noticed the people around them eying them. "I'm Stephen Strange. And you are?"
"One of the Dunedain," the man said, not lowering his bow.
"Okay. I can see we're not getting anywhere. So let's take this somewhere more private," Strange said, waving a hand and a portal opened up, dragging himself and the man away from the scene.
New York Sanctum
One second later
The man looked around wildly as they appeared in the library of the Sanctum, The Doctor looking up from a book he was trying to read.
"Sorry about that, but it's a complicated conversation and I didn't feel like having it in front of a crowd," Strange said. "In short, you're from another world, a spell dragged you here, and we're trying to send you home along with anyone else who may have been dragged here. Any questions?"
"You are a Wizard," the man noted and Strange scoffed.
"I prefer Sorcerer, but yeah. You feel like working with us or do I have to put you in the dungeon?" Strange asked and, after a moment, the man lowered his bow.
"No one could come up with a lie that mad unless it was the truth," the man acknowledged. "I will work with you."
"Good. Do you have a name or should I just call you 'one of the Dunedain'?" Strange asked and the man was silent for a long moment.
"Strider. You may call me Strider," he finally said.
"Hello Strider", The Doctor waved to him from where he was. "I am The Doctor."
Strider just gave him a curt nod in response.
Yusuke was running upon some rooftops, before he heard a growl from down below and leapt onto the ground, seeing a beautiful, blonde woman walking towards him.
"Hey kid, I'm lost, can you tell me the way?" She asked with a grin.
"Stop playing dumb", Yusuke told her.
"Guess you're not that dumb", the woman shrugged before her face morphed into what looked like some kind of jaguar.
"Now that is icky", Yusuke had to say.
"Can't say I disagree."
The woman growled louder as a Hispanic young man who was slightly older than Yusuke leapt next to him, his eyes glowing red as he glared at Kate.
"Scott", she said with a snarl. "Been waiting to see you again."
"Wish I could say the same, Kate", Scott McCall said as Kate Argent charged him but his teeth enlarged too and he roared before rushing at Kate, as Kate stabbed his shoulder but he sliced her chest a little before kicking her back, both grunting.
Yusuke prepared to help when suddenly a large and furry man with long hair leapt out of nowhere and stabbed Scott with his long claws, making him gasp in pain, after which he hurled Scott away.
"Don't know who you are, but thanks for the assist", Kate said to the huge man with a wink.
Yusuke helped Scott up as the Alpha Werewolf groaned. "Now where did he come from?"
"The same place I did."
A man wearing a brown leather jacket with long brown hair and beard suddenly leapt down, and to their shock, metal claws popped out of his knuckles, three from each hand.
"Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy", the huge man said with a ferocious grin as he made his way towards the clawed guy. "You may have the Adamantium, but I'm still your older brother."
"Won't do you much good, Creed", Logan said with a smirk before leaping at Creed with a roar, stabbing him in the chest as Victor Creed stabbed Logan in the neck with his claws, both falling in a heap.
"Well, I guess I'll deal with you then", Kate said, preparing to charge Scott and Yusuke.
"With a face like that? Yusuke can slap you into unconsciousness!"
Yusuke's eyes widened as he recognized the voice, a short old, Japanese woman in Japanese robes stepping out of the shadows, her hands behind her back.
"Ba-san?" Yusuke questioned, both happy and shocked to see her.
"I was awaiting your return from the Demon Realm, Yusuke, but looks like we meet here now", Genkai told him, before turning to Kate. "You think you can fight Yusuke? Fight me first."
"I'm going to rip you apart", Kate said, charging Genkai and swinging her claws, only for Genkai to leap and flip, kicking Kate's face hard, making her scream in pain as she fell down and rolled away.
She tried to get up but Genkai grabbed her by the hair and drove her fist into the Werejaguar's abdomen, making her spit out blood as she fell down.
Then Genkai kicked her out.
"Now that was satisfying", Scott had to say for once.
"Nice one, Ba-san", Yusuke said happily as he ran up to his teacher, both smiling happily at each other. "And nice to see a familiar face around here."
"Yes", Genkai nodded. "So where are we?"
"A different world, pulled in by a spell", Yusuke explained to her.
Logan was thrown away by Sabretooth, who leapt at him to stab with his claws, but Logan rolled away at the last moment, making the claws break the ground a bit, before Logan kicked Sabretooth from the side, staggering him away, before stabbing him in the gut as Sabretooth let out a roar.
Taking the opportunity, Yusuke fired at Sabretooth with his gauntlet, making him disappear in sparks. And then, aiming at the unconscious Kate, Yusuke fired at her too, and she disappeared as well.
"What happened, bub?" Logan inquired.
"Sent them into this magical dungeon where they can't harm anyone", Yusuke explained to him.
"Magic? Sounds like bullshit", Logan said.
"Not really, seen some of it myself", Scott said in reply. "Not to this level though."
"So….a different world, huh?" Logan asked, having heard that as Yusuke nodded. "This day is crazy as fuck."
"Come, I'll take you all to the place, and we can catch up there", Yusuke said as he walked towards the Sanctorum, leading the way for the rest to follow.
New York Sanctum
"Back when you first saw me here", Tara started, Angel looking at her. "You looked as if you'd seen a ghost."
"You remember when they said some of us were pulled from different times?" Angel asked, Tara nodding. "Well…I am from around 2 years in the future for you."
"Right…." Tara absorbed the info. "And how can you tell?"
"Well…..how do I put this?" Angel sighed, looking away, before taking in a deep breath just to calm himself (Vampires didn't need to breathe but he still did it anyways), and looked back at her. "Well…I don't know the details, but you died, Tara."
Tara felt the ground shift from underneath her feet, and staggered back, the back of her feet finding a chair as she sat down into it. "What…When? How?"
"From what I heard, this asshole Warren tried to shoot at Buffy, and one of the shots went through a window and hit you", Angel said sadly. "I'm sorry, Tara."
Tara looked stricken, unable to believe it, and took some breaths to calm herself, before asking the important question. "Willow….Dawnie…the others, how'd they take it?"
"Buffy told me Dawn almost sliced her wrists once, but was stopped", Angel said, to Tara's horror, as she was reminded of when Dawn had sliced her wrists on finding out she was the Key. "The rest were pretty bad too for a while."
"And Willow?"
Angel gulped, wondering how to tell her, before deciding to let it out. "Willow didn't take it well. She absorbed dark magicks, and from what I heard, she killed that Warren guy really badly. Buffy said she'd never imagined someone like Willow would be capable of that."
Tara just felt her heart break on hearing that as Angel continued. "The dark magicks corrupted her mind and she tried to destroy the world in her grief and insanity, but Xander talked her down. Then she spent months in magic therapy with this coven and Giles-" Angel spat out Giles' name in anger.
"Took him long enough", Tara had to scoff too.
"Last I saw her, she was doing better, but seeing her…I don't think she is the same without you", Angel confessed to Tara, then put a hand to his own chest. "I can tell."
Tara realized what he meant, and asked him. "You lost someone you care about too?"
"Yeah", Angel nodded, controlling himself. "Cordy."
"What happened?" Tara asked.
Few months ago, Angel's and Tara's Universe, Los Angeles, Wolfram and Hart
Cordelia walked into Angel's office as he put on his blazer.
"So..." She walked to Angel. "you feel good?"
"I do. I just...I kind of feel bad about it", Angel said.
"My God, you are a piece of work", Cordelia said with a smile.
"I just don't feel like I deserve..." He shrugged. "I mean, all I did was beat up a tiny Texan. It's not like I helped anyone." He sat on the chair arm.
"Sure you did", Cordelia raised her eyebrows.
"Who?" Angel asked.
"Boy, I really do fall for the dumb ones", Cordelia quipped. "You know how you're always trying to save, oh, every single person in the world? Did it ever occur to you, you were one of them?"
"No, it never did", Angel said.
"Well, you made the list, gorgeous", Cordelia assured. "And you needed some help."
"And you were the one that helped me", Angel smiled in realization.
"I did my part", she sat beside Angel as he laughed.
Angel said. "Lindsey wasted a lot of energy trying to make me doubt myself. I know it's not even close to over, but I do feel like I can do this." He looked at her. "Wolfram & Hart, whatever's coming, I feel like we can beat it."
"I know", Cordelia smiled.
"You do?" Angel asked.
"I always did", Cordelia told him. "I…I just needed you to know it too."
"So all that stuff about deals with the Devil-"
"Is God's honest truth", she said as he chuckled and she looked at him. "But you're bigger than that. You'll win this in the end." He looked at her as she smiled.
She then looked down, her expression turning grim, and then she got up, walking a few steps forward. "I….uh…..just wish I could be there to see it."
She chuckled as Angel got up. "What do you mean?" She turned back as he asked. "You're not…"
"I can't stay", Cordelia shook her head. "This isn't me anymore."
Angel was puzzled as Cordelia said. "You can say goodbye to the gang for me, explain everything, once you understand."
Angel walked to her. "That's gonna be never. I…..I need you here."
"Don't make this hard, Angel", she begged. "I'm just on a different road. And this is my off the ramp."
As Angel listened she said. "The Powers That Be owed me one and I didn't waste it. I got my guy back on track."
She gave a bittersweet smile as he said. "Cordy, this is-"
She touched his face. "We take what we can get, champ. And we do our best with it."
Her expression turned grim before she controlled herself and gave him a wink. "I'll be seeing you."
She walked off before stopping. "Oh! What the hell?"
She turned back and walked to Angel whose back was turned now. "One for the road?"
He turned to her as she kissed him passionately and lovingly on the lips, and he kissed back with equal passion and love.
The telephone then rang as they stopped and Angel said. "Um, I don't need to get that."
Cordelia stroked his face, adjusted his collar, and controlling herself said. "That…you have to get."
Their noses touched as she sniffled and Angel turned to the phone, walking to it.
"Oh!" Cordelia smiled and said. "And you're welcome."
Angel picked up the phone. "Hello."
Hearing the person he said. "Yes I know she's-"
He froze, shocked on hearing that. "No, that's impossible she's standing right-"
He turned around and there was no one there. Not a single soul. He was alone in the office.
Angel felt his still heat shatter into a million pieces as he lowered the receiver, the harsh reality hitting him. Cordelia had never woken up from her mystical coma. The Powers That Be had allowed her to send an Astral projection of herself to help him one last time.
He tried to say something but couldn't and with pained chokes, put the receiver to his ear again. "I'm sorry." He listened and said. "Yeah." Swallowing a lump, Angel asked. "So when did she die?"
Angel then asked. "Did she um…." He listened and said sadly. "She never did wake up."
He nodded and said to the person. "I see."
He put the receiver back down and stared at the spot where had Cordelia had stood.
"Thank you."
Now
Tara felt a tear roll down her cheek. Like Angel, she'd met Cordelia once. The woman was sassy and snarky, proud about her looks (not that Tara could blame her), but she loved and cared for her team, Tara had seen that too, and she liked helping people.
"What did Giles do?" Tara asked, making Angel look at her. "The way you just said his name…."
"Fred, she was infected by this Old One", Angel revealed, to Tara's horror. "I tried to reach out to Willow for help, but got Giles instead. Giles asked me if I was working for Wolfram and Hart. When I said I was, he cut the call."
Tara couldn't believe it. Giles had his flaws, like how he'd handled Willow's magical education, but this…..this was just callous.
She had a hard time reconciling this Giles with the one she'd known.
"I'm sorry about what happened with you, and Cordelia and Fred", Tara said, feeling bad about Fred herself, as the woman had reminded her a lot of Willow and even herself.
"Its fine, you weren't there", Angel said, only for her to pale, Angel mentally cursing himself for having said that. "Sorry."
"What happens to me now?" Tara asked.
"I don't know, but I'm hoping you can stick around", Angel told her with a smile, one that Tara returned.
And there's another one done here.
So now, for the Heroes side, we got Aragorn/Strider from 'The Lord of the Rings', Scott McCall from 'Teen Wolf', Logan from the 'X-Men' movies and Genkai from 'Yu Yu Hakusho'.
For the villains, we have Zeus from 'God of War', Kate Argent from 'Teen Wolf' and Sabretooth from the 'X-Men' movies.
Now for why I'm not having the video game characters be imprisoned, well, they are on a level that surpasses most of the other characters, and easily surpasses the MCU, so Strange's prison would be pretty much useless against them.
Sam and Dean have their proper reunion, hope that was enjoyed, and well, tears had to be shed.
Then we'd Angel and Tara talking. I loved Giles until Buffy Season 5 but after that he really went downhill. He did have his flaws though, as outside of Buffy I don't think he was a decent mentor to any Scooby, as he constantly failed Willow in her magical education (he should have set Willow up with the Devon Coven in Season 3 at the earliest and after 'Something Blue' at the latest), and there are other mistakes he made, but post-Season 5, oof!
While I do agree that Buffy was too reliant on him, the others needed him too, yet he did not stay. And don't even get me started on the Spike mess in Season 7.
But when he refused to help with Fred in Angel Season 5, that really made me detest the guy from that point onwards.
I still love Giles until Buffy Season 5 (and in spite of not being a huge fan of his in Buffy Seasons 6 and 7, I don't hate him there), but I really didn't like him afterwards, including the follow-up comics.
Hope the Angel/Tara talk was enjoyed, I think these two would be besties if they met.
And the mention of Dawn almost slicing her wrists….well, Tara and Dawn had a beautiful mother/daughter relationship but the writers, like dumbasses, decided to pretend in Season 7 that Tara didn't matter to anyone other than Willow, and completely ignored this dynamic and how Dawn was affected, which still disgusts me to my core. Its also a reference to a one-shot I wrote titled 'If your wings are broken, you can take mine'.
Scott and Kate are from after 'Teen Wolf' Season 6 is over but before that flashforward, while Zeus is from during his final fight with Kratos.
Next chapter has the reunion everyone is waiting for….Zack and Cloud!
Hope all enjoyed and see you all next time with another chapter.
