Chapter Seven
Tori took deep breaths, worried for her boyfriend. Duncan wasn't faring any better for his concern for Richie. Amanda and Joe were trying everything they could to calm them down.
"We're doing all we can," Joe assured him.
"Don't worry," Amanda added, "Richard the Lionheart."
"Richard the Lionheart?" Tori quipped.
"A nickname I gave him when we first met," Amanda answered with a smile.
"What's that?" Joe asked as he looked up at the sky.
"The Terry!" Tori exclaimed, following Joe's glance. Duncan and Amanda followed their glances as well, seeing the Terry land near the dojo, where they were standing. The Defenders stepped out of the Terry.
"It's good to see you guys again," Duncan greeted the Defenders.
"How are you holding?" April asked.
"Trying to keep it together," Tori answered, "Mac and I in particular, we're worried about Richie. Amanda and Joe are worried too, but you know."
"One of the immortals who kidnapped Richie is some crazy, jealous chick," April stated as she crossed her arms, "and some other guy is also working with Ming."
"That crazy, jealous chick is Felicia Martins," Duncan spoke up.
"Known as Felice Marten," Joe chimed in, "The other immortal working towards Ming is David Keogh."
"Have you met them before?" Kshin asked.
"Richie and I are the only ones of our group who met Felicia," Duncan answered, "Tori has only met David."
"How do you know them then?" Kshin asked Joe.
"It's my job to know about immortals," Joe answered, "we observe and record, but never interfere."
"Interesting," Kshin muttered.
"Who's the young lady with you guys?" Duncan asked, glancing at April.
"Duncan MacLeod," Flash introduced April to the group, "meet my daughter April Gordon."
"So, you're the legendary Duncan MacLeod," April replied, shaking Duncan's hand, "Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you," Duncan added.
"And the rest of your party?" Mandrake asked.
Duncan proceeded to introduce Amanda and Joe to the Defenders before the Defenders introduced themselves to them.
"Can you guys tell us a bit more about the immortals working for Ming?" Flash asked.
"Before this," Tori explained, "we met David Keogh last week. He's a creep and kept stalking this woman, Jill."
"Unlike Tessa," Duncan chimed in, "Jill didn't want anything to do with the immortal life, but David wouldn't take no for an answer and was planning to marry her."
"Without her consent most likely," Tori looked down on the ground, thinking about David, "Richie and I tried to help, but he...he broke Richie's ribs and hit me."
"What?!" April jolted up.
"He's no man for hitting a woman," Flash stated.
"I don't think David ever hit Jill," Duncan stated, "He hurt them for getting in his way. Of course, I don't agree with him for hitting Tori, or stalking Jill. He blamed me for Jill's death."
"What happened?" Jedda asked.
"Jill fell to her death at her apartment while I tried to mediate the situation," Duncan answered.
"But you tried to keep her from that creep, right?" April asked.
"Yeah," Duncan answered, "but sometimes your best isn't good enough."
"What about this Felicia?" Lothar asked.
"When I first met Felicia," Duncan explained, "she pretended to be a new immortal so I could be her teacher. Tessa and I never trusted her from the start, but Richie...hr convinced me of her "status" and I agreed to train her."
"Which is a bit of her MO," Joe added, "pretending to be a new immortal to get to her target, as well as emotionally weakening her target by hurting, or in most cases, kill the ones he loved."
"Felicia had a talent of forging documents and portraits," Duncan chimed in, "such as the Cornelli Map of London."
"As well as being a rock musician," Joe added in, "which what she did in between when she saw MacLeod and tonight's events."
"How did you know all that?" Kshin asked.
"That's part of my job as a Watcher," Joe answered, "I observe and record all things immortal, but never interfere."
"Wow," Kshin replied in awe.
"Before she met MacLeod, Felice Marten in the 19th Century developed a relationship with fellow immortal Claude Devereux," Joe elaborated further, "Things soured between them and in order to psychologically break Devereux, Felice stalked and murdered his wife and adopted baby daughter, and around the time she discovered MacLeod, Felice, now known as Felicia, ended up taking his head as well."
"She planned to kill me as well," Duncan stated, "counter my own technique. Felicia used Richie as part of her plan as he had fallen for her at the time, but I easily slipped her guard during our duel and ran her through using the Italian fencing maneuver known as Impasse De Soto. I warned her to never approach me or my friends again before Richie and I left her for dead."
"How did Richie feel afterwards?" Tori asked.
"He felt guilty," Duncan answered, reflecting on the ride home and aftermath of the ordeal with Felicia, "He felt used by her. Richie was quiet on the drive home from the beach. He expected to be thrown out, but I assured him he'd have to take my head first. Richie apologized to me and Tessa almost desperately. We've forgiven him and the next day, he had been overly cheerful and talkative."
"They both are unhinged," April stated, "They deserve each other, if they happen to be together."
"Do you think we should get going?" Amanda asked.
"I couldn't agree more," Duncan answered, "I warned Felicia to never cross my path again, and now, she's done for, and so is David Keogh. By the way, I let Charlie know I'm out of town for awhile, and we'll be back as soon as we can."
"Well, let's get to the Terry," Flash told everyone, "Next step is Ice Station Earth."
-Beginning-of-a-New-Life-
Richie managed to gather the strength to stand back up and he was pacing the room to try to keep warm and calm. Being calm was difficult, but being warm in this icy prison was impossible, especially now with the sleeve of his shirt ripped out of him. He sensed the Buzz.
"Hello again, little Richie," Felicia grinned as she walked into his cell.
"Leave me alone!" Richie barked, backing away from her.
"Aren't you happy to see me?" Felicia asked.
"What do you think?" Richie scoffed before stating, "You used me for your little plot against MacLeod the last time we met. I trusted you, when I should have listened to Mac, and even Tess."
"Yeah, true," Felicia muttered.
"Not only that," Richie glanced at the mess on him, "Those bastards drugged me, and you raped me!"
"How did you know? How do you know it wasn't David?"
"David isn't into men," Richie scoffed, "and even though I was drugged, I felt something. I felt your kisses, I heard your moans, and when I came to, I saw this mess on me."
"How clever of you," Felicia stated, eyeing him, "I must say, I think you're much more sexy now that you're immortal."
"You figured it out, huh?" Richie asked.
"Yeah," Felicia nodded, "then again, I should have paid attention given you were pre-immortal when I last saw you."
She walked closer to him. Richie tried moving away from her, but Felicia had pinned him where he stood.
"You...you're going to rape me again?!" Richie exclaimed in disbelief.
"It's not rape if you want it," Felicia insisted, "You know, if Tessa was still alive, I'd still what I'm doing to you, but I'd also have her here too, and I'd kill her to hurt MacLeod."
"Listen here, you sick bitch," Richie snapped, "MacLeod told you not to cross his path again and once he finds me, he will take your head for sure, and this time, I won't stop him!"
Felicia gave him a smug look, "Well, even if he does find us, it's not going to stop what's going to happen or what's already happened."
Richie's eyes widened in response as her lips were touching his. He tried pushing her away, repulsed by her.
"What's the matter?" Felicia asked as she put her hands under shirt, pushing it up to bunch under his armpits, "Didn't you enjoy this the last time?"
Ugh. Unfortunately, she was right. Back when he was a naive mortal, no, naive pre-immortal, he thought she was in need of help after becoming a new immortal, she was quite the looker, and they have made out a few times. Yes, he did enjoy it at the time and they have made out a few times. Yes, he did enjoy it at the time, but now, Richie was disgusted at just thinking about it.
"Even if the Highlander finds us," Felicia said as she forced herself onto him, "You are mine, Richard H. Ryan and I will never let you go."
Realizing what was going to happen, Richie started to struggle again, which made things worse as Felicia pushed him to the floor and pinned him there.
"Felicia, stop it!" Richie shouted in pain, "You're hurting me!"
He gasped during the struggle as Felicia was hurting him. He tried to get up but she pushed him back down.
"Why don't you just stop struggling and be nice?" Felicia smirked, "I promise you'll enjoy it."
"No!" Richie screamed in pain and panic, "No!"
"You really want to persist on this?" Felicia eyed him, "Well, if you do, David will take your girl's head as soon as she arrives here. Better yet, I'll do it, while you watch, and you know I can do it."
Richie realized this was a no – win situation. Knowing how Felicia was, she could make him suffer and kill Tori in front of him, and she was capable of doing so, before taking his head. Richie remained still from this point forward.
"I knew you'd see it my way," Felicia replied before she kissed him.
Then, Richie whimpered as Felicia removed his jeans, followed by his boxer briefs. Richie looked on helplessly as Felicia proceeded to have her way with him.
After some time, and some more mess on him, Felicia slid herself off Richie, smirking with satisfaction, "There. Now, that wasn't so bad, was it?"
As she left the room, Richie curled up in a ball, whimpering to himself, "Tori. Mac."
