When they got to the castle Sally, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Blaze and Silver headed to the infirmary.
"Princess Sally, what happened to Sonic?" a nurse asked.
"Tails, Knuckles you explain. I'm going to get daddy." Sally said and they nodded then explained what they found out earlier.
When Sally found the king he smiled then saw her look.
"Sally, what's wrong?" he asked.
"Oh daddy! Sonic lives in an orphanage and has been abused there!" she said and started crying in his arms.
"What?!" he said shocked.
"I brought him, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Blaze and Silver here so he could get taken care of. Tails and Knuckles are explaining what's wrong."
He nodded.
"Come on. Let's go visit him and have him explain what exactly has been going on." he said and she nodded and they headed to the infirmary.
When they got there they saw doctors take care of Sonic.
The others were standing there worried about him.
The king cleared his throat and they all looked at him.
"How is he doing?" he asked.
"Not very good your highness. He's very underweight, scars, cuts, bruises, a sprained wrist and ankle. How on earth can he hide it all?" he wondered.
"Probably trying to be strong for the kids." Knuckles said and the others nodded.
Sonic nodded.
"I'm not letting anything like this happen to them." Sonic said shaking his head. "Which means I have to get home when I'm all fixed up."
"Oh no ya don't!" Knuckles said. "You're not going anywhere!"
"But-"
"No!" they all said.
"Sonic, I promise to do something about this." the king said. "Get some rest."
"Thank you."
"What orphanage are you from?"
"Wood Orphanage."
He nodded.
"Well, you are welcome to stay here and stay from school until you're healed."
Sonic nodded.
Then the king left and went to take care of this.
Then the doctors left and the others stayed.
Suddenly there was light.
"Ah!" they yelled and Shadow stood there his eyes red.
"I'M SORRY!" Shadow said and started crying again and held Sonic.
"Get off of him!" Silver said.
"Shadow, you're hurting him!" Amy said.
He looked down and saw Sonic in pain.
"What happened to him?" he asked.
Everyone looked at Sonic who nodded to tired to say anything.
"You might wanna sit down for this." Tails said.
None of them were happy to see him but knew he had a right to know what has been going on.
So he sat down and listened to what was wrong.
While he listened Sonic started to fall asleep calm and comfortable for the first time since he started living in the orphanage.
They looked at him asleep looking like he hadn't slept in years.
Shadow sat there quietly in tears.
"He's never going to forgive me." Shadow said shaking his head.
"No, he's not. Daddy is fixing up the orphanage problem and having him stay here for a while." Sally said and he nodded.
"Thanks."
"As usual Sonic said when he gets some rest he's going back to protect them but the king told him to stay and get some rest." Blaze said and Shadow covered his face.
"What have I done?"
"Treat him like crap that's what." Silver said with his arms crossed.
They stood or sat there quietly looking at Sonic.
