Hisashi is, by no means, stupid.

When Inko tells him she's going out shopping, he makes sure she has her phone in her bag. He also makes sure he informs her of the taser he slipped in there a few weeks ago; she hasn't brought it up yet.

Yeah, she knows about it.

Hisashi is ready to drop the meeting and use several more destructive quirks to get to Inko, should the need arise.

He trusts her, though. Inko may be pregnant, but she's vicious and surprisingly strong.

Inko will be fine. Hisashi repeats that to himself as he enters the meeting room. The high-ranking villains working for him sit around the table, nothing but sheets of paper in front of them. Hisashi hates the sound of slurping and chewing when he works, and they all know it.

They're not about to disregard All For One's wishes.

If he's being honest, Hisashi loves the thought that his minions are so terrified of angering him. It makes it so much easier to keep all his secrets within the inner circles of his Project teams.

He takes his place at the head of the large, round table, and places his file down.

The Doctor stands first.

Hisashi feels he doesn't particularly need to give all his attention to the Doctor right now, instead setting a recording quirk on.

In the meantime, he uses a far-sight quirk to see what Inko's doing.

He checks the rooms of the house… twice. Inko isn't home.

He searches the garden and then the entire house again.

"Excuse me," he says, standing.

The Doctor, who was apparently still speaking, frowns. "Sensei?"

"I am leaving," Hisashi elaborates, straightening his jacket. "There is a matter to which I must attend urgently."

The other villains shrink back at his cold tone but Hisashi pays them no mind as he walks from the room, hurriedly pulling out his phone once the door has closed behind him.

He presses on Inko's contact and holds the phone to his ear, waiting. The call goes through to voicemail.

Hisashi feels his blood run cold.

He warps to his office, quickly stuffing the file into a drawer in his desk, before frantically flipping through his sight quirks, location quirks, anything that could help him find Inko.

(A part of Hisashi tells him that he's overreacting a little, that Inko's probably still out at the store, and there's nothing to worry about. Another part of his mind argues that the store is only three minutes from their house and that Inko only went for vegetables for their dinner.)

His quirks show that Inko is in the very same building as him, but none of his quirks are accurate enough to tell him exactly where.

And if she's in the building, either she's found out about his job and managed to locate him, or she's been taken against her will.

Inko leaves the house about five minutes after Hisashi, making sure to lock the door behind her. She remembers the last time she forgot.

She swings her canvas bag over her shoulder, starting her walk down the street.

It's a quiet day, quite warm for early May. There's not much traffic, meaning she can hear the trees rustling in the park across the road. It's a pleasant, calming sound.

Inko smiles at the cashier when she enters the shop, heading straight to the vegetable aisle, where she picks up a few bags and lays them in her shopping basket. She's out of the store in under five minutes and on her way home.

It's at that point that the strap on her bag decides that now would be a good time to break, sending the loose carrots rolling into the alleyway she stands at the entrance to.

She groans mentally, taking out a spare bag from inside the broken one and bending down slowly, so as to not fall.

She's just gotten the vegetables she can reach into the bag when she hears a voice from above her.

"Excuse me, do you need some help?"

Inko doesn't look up, for fear of toppling over, but smiles all the same. "Yes please," she says.

A hand is stretched out in front of her and Inko takes it firmly, pulling herself to her feet.

"Thank you," she inclines to the man standing in front of her.

"No worries," he grins, picking up the carrots that had rolled away before handing them to her. "I'm glad I was able to help. How far along are you?"

Inko smiles. "Seven months, as of next week."

The man nods. "That's nice. Anyway, I must be off, have a nice day!"

Inko opens her mouth to respond, when a cloth is shoved over her face. Her sounds are muffled by the fabric while voices talk around her.

She slips into unconsciousness.

She wakes up to darkness and the feeling of fabric around her head.

Once she's fully awake, she notices voices talking quietly around her. Trying not to move on the chair (?) she's sitting on, Inko attempts to seem as if she's still asleep so she can listen into her kidnappers' conversation and get what information she can out of it before they realise she's been listening.

Unfortunately, her plan doesn't even get a chance to work because as soon as Inko has decided to do this, there's a hushed whisper and all of the voices go silent.

A few footsteps is her only warning before the thing covering her head is pulled off roughly.

Inko blinks in the harsh white light that immediately floods her vision.

"Midoriya Inko?"

It's a question, and Inko turns towards the direction of the voice as the spots fade from her sight.

A man with blond hair in a slightly rumpled suit stands to her left, a small gun in the hand by his side.

Inko glares at him. "Who are you? What do you want?"

The man growls. "Are you Midoriya Inko?"

When she doesn't answer, the gun is pressed to her head. "I said, and I am sure you heard me, are you Midoriya Inko? Ignore me again, and that baby won't be born."

Inko recoils, nodding quickly. The man backs off, much to her relief.

"Good choice," Another of the men standing around her says. "As for what we want… tell us how Boss knows you."

What?

"I'm afraid I don't know who your boss is," Inko replies, honestly because she has no clue who these people are talking about.

The blond man purses his lips for a moment before answering. "It would be in your best interests not to lie, lady."

Inko shakes her head. "I really don't know who you're talking about."

The second man steps forward. "All For One ring any bells?" he snarls.

"I said: I don't know who that is," Inko snaps. "Now, I haven't done anything to you or whoever your boss is, so will you let me go!"

Several of the men around her step back in shock, obviously not expecting her to shout, but the blond kidnapper doesn't even flinch.

"Don't lie to us, lady. We've seen the notes on his desk. 'Pay Inko', 'pay Inko', 'pay Inko'; always the same. I don't know who you think you are to demand money from the boss, but we're here to put an end to it."

Inko groans in frustration. "For the last time, I don't know who All For One is, and I'm not demanding money from him. My boyfriend and I make plenty of money on our own. Now, I think you should let me go. My boyfriend checks my location every thirty minutes, at least, and you do not want to be on his bad side."

The blond man scoffs. "And who is your boyfriend exactly?" He asks mockingly, rolling his eyes.

"He is a very powerful man, and he will have your pathetic asses in jail as soon as he finds out-"

"I-INKO?"

Hisashi runs through the building, quirks going haywire as he frantically searches every room for his girlfriend.

He's been through five floors already, but most of the rooms have been empty, or just full of people doing their jobs.

A low-level department manager runs up to him as he turns the corner. "Sir?"

Hisashi sighs, moving through the rooms as he travels along the corridor. "Not right now."

The manager grimaces. "It's really important, sir," he stresses. "Suzuki and his group have a hostage on floor seven. They need you right now."

Hisashi clenches his teeth, thinking it over. "...Alright," he decides, turning another corner. "I'm heading to that floor next anyway."

"Thank you, sir," the manager squeaks out, already hurrying away.

Hisashi checks the other three rooms on floor six, just to be sure, and heads down to floor seven in the elevator straight after that, rushing out and onto the white, tiled floor. He can hear commotion a few corridors away, but isn't going to risk missing Inko if he heads there without looking in all of the rooms on his way.

They're all empty.

As he approaches the corridor with only one room, he hears raised voices. Suzuki's shouts and another that sounds far too similar to-

He opens the door.

"I-INKO?"

Hisashi runs forward, punching Suzuki in the face and using a quirk to knock the other kidnappers out. They drop like flies, much to his satisfaction.

He's at Inko's side before he can think about the consequences of using a quirk other than Dragon's Breath (the fire-breathing quirk he told Inko he had). He rips away the ropes binding her to the chair, pulling Inko into his arms the moment she's free.

"Hisashi?" Inko whispers. He can feel her arms slowly reach around his back and grasp his shirt before he realises she's started crying.

"It's alright," he tells her. "I'm here; you're alright."

He feels her body tremble as he carries her out of the room, using his warp quirk to take them home.

Hisashi places Inko on the sofa in the living room carefully, noting as he does so that she has fallen asleep. He smiles gently, and then the look turns slightly more sinister as he steps back.

A quick memory wipe later (only of him using quirks that aren't Dragon's Breath), Hisashi is back in the room with the unconscious villains.

He sends them to the Doctor. He'll torture them for a bit before turning them over to become Noumu.

Hisashi makes sure to shower and change his suit before he returns to Inko, very aware of the blood coating his clothes, face, and hands.
