Author's Note: We're nearly done with the final updates of "Spider-Man & The Incredibles". With the epilogue chapter coming up later, the fanfic will be over and done.
Plus, I heard from D23 that Marvel's 'What If...?' will end with Season 3, so I'm glad we were enjoying the wild, alternate realities in the show while they last and Pixar's finally going to be doing an 'Incredibles 3' and Brad Bird is directing it as always, so that's awesome! But like I said, this fanfic is ONLY a temporary reality, a crossover alternate universe, and it will be over and done with its own new ending very soon, so I'm not planning to do a retelling of the upcoming sequel in the future. Sorry, but not now, not ever!
For now, like I said before in the previous note, I will take a long break and later move on to the other fanfics I made - like "The Fairly Odd Winx Club".
But first, a few things to go over...
- Although this current and the next final chapter may feature a certain Watcher and a certain Madame Web meeting Peter and him being introduced to the Spider-Verse and the Great Web of Life and Destiny, I'm sorry but I want everyone to understand very clearly that this has absolutely NOTHING to do with anything 'Spider-Verse'-related - not in the comics, not in the animated 'Into the Spider-Verse' movies, no connections to the Spider-Verse (Not yet, anyway). It's just for a meta gag, references, and little plot elements.
- The Peter Parker, Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, and Anya Corazon of Earth-TRNA113 are now the Spider-Totems of this temporary alternate reality, but they and the other younger Marvel teen heroes of Earth-TRNA113 are now part of the next generation of Supers alongside Violet and Dash.
- The whole story has nothing to do with the Spider-Verse, it's just for some superhero fun. In this fanfic...
*Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, and Anya Corazon are in it.
*Peter Parker and Violet Parr are officially dating.
*Evelyn Deavor has gone all Jim Starling/Negaduck from 'DuckTales (2017)', Dr. Robotnik from the live action 'Sonic the Hedgehog' movies, and the hot-headed Hades from 'Hercules' as she's responsible for Uncle Ben's death by hypnotizing the robber to kill him, just like Scar did with Mufasa in 'The Lion King'.
*There are absolutely NO other Spider-Man villains that will appear in it, like the Vulture, Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Venom, Kraven, Electro, and Sandman - only the Marvel villains that were from the glory days.
Just want to clear a few things and avoid any misunderstandings and stuff. No based predictions, no comparisons or anything, nada.
I just hope everything's clear on that and I hope you all enjoy these last two chapters - this one and the epilogue - of "Spider-Man & The Incredibles" until then. Any and all comment (on the story) are welcome.
Meanwhile, Spider-Man, Kid Arachnid, the Parr kids, Nadia, and Tippy-Toe are finding Jack-Jack when they bump into Okoye and Shuri.
"Halt!" Okoye cried as she pointed her spear at them. "Who's there?!"
"Wait…," Shuri said, looking at Spider-Man. "It's the Spider-Man everyone's talking about."
"Yes, I am!" Spider-Man replied. "And you are…?"
"I am Shuri, princess of Wakanda…and a genius," Shuri introduced herself and Okoye. "And this is General Okoye of the Dora Milaje. Wakandan Royal Guard."
"A genius princess?!" Dash cried in excitement. "Cool!"
"I knew Wakanda would get the invite," Spider-Man said, satisfied.
"I hate to interrupt this chance meeting and the moment of geeking out," Nadia said. "But Evelyn's probably controlling the other Supers and setting the ship on a collision course by now."
"We know," Okoye said. "We are already on the culprit's trial."
"Jack-Jack's heading to the ship's bridge," Shuri said.
"How did you know we'd be here?" Violet asked.
"Captain America filled us in. Tony Stark and Evelyn were geniuses, but they're not the only geniuses. It appears we have a common enemy. Let us open their eyes together."
"This is so cool!" Dash exclaimed in excitement as everyone headed onward to the ship's bridge.
At the ship's bridge, the mesmerized Elastigirl, Frozone, and Mr. Incredible turned the boat around to head straight for the city, just as Nadia had said, because they recently knocked out the crew and destroyed the steering wheel and the controls.
But the three turned to see Jack-Jack going through the door.
Evelyn, dancing to the song "Where Evil Grows" by The Poppy Family, eventually saw Jack-Jack from her control room in confusion as the music stopped. "What the... a baby?"
Just then, Spider-Man, Violet, Dash, Kid Arachnid, Nadia, Tippy-Toe, Shuri, and Okoye entered the ship's bridge and found…
"Mom and Dad!" Dash cried. "Uncle Lucius?"
The hypnotized Elastigirl, Mr. Incredible, and Frozone tried to attack. But Violet put up a force field around them, and Okoye deflected the blows with her spear.
Jack-Jack floats through the force field over to Elastigirl as Evelyn cries out in surprise. "A Super baby?"
When Jack-Jack landed in his mother's arms, he removed Elastigirl's hypno-goggles with his mind. And just like that, Elastigirl was back to normal.
Returning to her senses, Elastigirl quickly handed Jack-Jack to Violet. Then she removed the hypno-goggles off Mr. Incredible and Frozone.
"NOOOOO!" Evelyn screamed in rage.
Mr. Incredible and Frozone became a little dizzy at first before they regained consciousness. When he slowly turned to Elastigirl, Mr. Incredible took a defensive, fighting stance toward her.
"Hey, it's me!" Elastigirl said.
"Yeah, that's what I thought last time," Mr. Incredible replied.
Elastigirl turned to the kids and Spider-Man. "Kids, Peter, what are you… You came for us?"
"Of course we did," Spider-Man replied. "We weren't gonna leave you hangin'."
"Don't be mad," Violet said as Elastigirl hugged the kids and Spider-Man.
"Oh, sweetie," Helen said warmly. "How could I be mad? I'm proud."
"Not to break up a tender moment," Frozone spoke up. "But where are we? Is this DevTech's ship?"
"Yep," Spider-Man answered.
"Evelyn Deavor controls the fake Screenslaver and Mysterio. Then, until a second ago, us," Elastigirl quickly tried to explain everything. "She wants to discredit all Supers and set the ship on a collision course that'll destroy the city! Where's the crew?"
Everyone turned to the unconscious crew as Mr. Incredible asked, "Uh-oh. Did I do that?"
"Yep," Spider-Man nodded.
Violet tossed Elastigirl's original red super suit over to her. "Try this."
While Elastigirl changed super suits, Mr. Incredible looked to see the group beside Spider-Man, Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack. He was baffled to see another Spider-Man in black and red, a young girl in a black and red Wasp suit, a squirrel, and two Wakandans – a genius princess and a general.
"Why are there two Spider-Mans? And why are kids here?" Mr. Incredible asked so many questions as he turned to Frozone. "You didn't go to the house?"
"I went to the house," Frozone said, then he turned to the kids. "You didn't escape? How did you not escape?!"
"Oh, I'm sorry. You mean we were all too busy SAVING YOUR LIVES!?" Spider-Man said.
"Yeah, we just saved you!" Violet and Dash agreed in unison while Elastigirl took Jack-Jack.
"Escape?! Escape from who?!" Mr. Incredible asked.
That's when the hypnotized Supers – Brick, He-Lectrix, Ms. Marvel, Squirrel Girl, Nightcrawler, X-23, Reptil, Nova, Magma, Surge, Spider-Girl, Ghost Spider, Wiccan, Reflux, and Speed – all arrived, taking everyone by surprise.
"Those guys!" Frozone said. "And they brought more back up!"
Spider-Man and Kid Arachnid were shocked as one of them said, "Oh no, not you guys, too!"
"Mind if we joined in?" Iron Man's voice appeared and asked as a portal opened, letting himself, Captain America, Black Panther, Voyd, Screech, Krushauer, Wolverine, Dante, America Chavez, Patriot, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Ironheart enter the fray. "Now you got backup!"
Just then, Jack-Jack transformed into a monster to join the fight as Elastigirl looked on in shock.
"What the-?" Elastgirl exclaimed. "Jack-Jack has powers?!"
"We know!" Mr. Incredible said. "Fight now, talk later!"
Soon, a vast superhero rumble breaks out as Spider-Man, the Incredibles, the Avengers, the Wakandans, and a few Supers remove the hypno-goggles from the mesmerized Supers individually. Before long, everyone was released from Eveltn's control.
"Where are we?" Spider-Girl asked.
"You guys were being mind-controlled by that Evelyn woman," Shuri explained.
"I swear we'll make it up to you," Kid Arachnid said. "If you can ever find a way to trust and forgive us again."
"All that matters is that we're here right now, and we're on your side," Ghost Spider said as she, Spider-Man, and Kid Arachnid formed a group hug. Spider-Girl, Violet, and Dash joined in, too.
"Sooo… What's new…?" Ms. Marvel asked as she and the other younger Supers walked over. "Other than the fact that I embarrassed myself in front of the big-league Supers."
"Hang on, Ms. Marvel, I'm getting good at this part," Spider-Man said. "You guys were all being mind-controlled, but we totally saved you. And now you will offer to help us stop Evelyn, who did this to you."
"Wow, not exactly one for the scrapbook…," Ms. Marvel said.
"You said it," Squirrel Girl replied as Tippy Toe was now on her shoulder. The squirrel was happy to have his friend back.
"Also, I get the weirdest feeling that Evelyn has some kind of murderous attitude toward me," Spider-Man added.
"Aye, blaming a boy for what his family relative did is such a shame," Nightcrawler said, shaking his head. "Not very logical, even."
Speaking of Evelyn, she saw everything unfold from the control room. She screamed in hot rage and frustration like Hades, leaving the control room and into the conference room, where everyone was still hypnotized.
"That's it!" Evelyn fumed as she grabbed her brother to the elevator while Winston slowly regained his senses. "I waited too long for this!"
"What happened?" Winston asked in confusion. "Did I faint?"
Evelyn turned to her brother. "You'll be safe here.
"Safe?! Safe from what? Where are the diplomats? The Supers?"
"Still hypnotized…and out of our hair!"
"What have you DONE?!"
"What I had to do," Evelyn answered as she pressed the launch button to release her secret jet from the Everjust's roof.
The Supers on the bridge saw it taking off as Iron Man said, "Well, that's not good news!"
"Evelyn's escaping!" Spider-Man exclaimed.
"Well, go after her, Spidey," Mr. Incredible replied. "Finish your mission."
"You want us to go?!" Elastigirl cried. "What about the kids? Jack-Jack? Who's gonna..."
"Mom!" Violet called out, cutting her mom off. "Go. We've got this." She then turned to Spider-Man and nodded with a smile.
Spider-Man smiled and nodded as he, Elastigirl, and Voyd ran off after the jet.
"We'll go shut down the engine!" Mr. Incredible said.
"We'll try to slow the ship from the bow!" Frozone replied.
"And we'll get the ambassadors to safety," Spider-Girl said as everyone split up.
"I'm sorry, Winston," Evelyn said to her brother, who glared at her. "I wish it didn't have to go down like this. Oh, wait…it just did! So, strap in NOW!"
"What are you talking about?" Winston asked, demanding an answer. "The world is super again! The accord is signed!"
"After all these years, Winston, you're STILL A CHILD!" Evelyn sneered. "If our father had thought for himself instead of holding out to be saved by people like that Spider-kid, he and Mom would still be alive! When will you understand that Supers have made people WEAK?! It's time for all Supers to go, including the Spider!"
"How could you say that?!" Winston asked, stunned. "Peter was just helping us! He's only a boy!"
"Yeah, a boy who tried to play the hero, then cheated death," Evelyn said. "Don't be naïve, Winston. Peter is just like his uncle! My only mistake was not dealing with him sooner."
Winston couldn't believe what was happening to his sister. "What's happened to you? You're better than this!"
"What's happening is that I've worked too hard, Winston! Too hard to let Supers destroy everything!" Evelyn yelled in frustration. "I'm doing all this for your own good!"
"No!" Winston exclaimed as he opened the door to the jet, which was about to leave the deck. "This is!" He then jumped out and landed safely on the deck. A while later, he's joined by Anya and the other Supers to the conference room to snap the diplomats and their international Supers out of their trance as they quickly destroy the hypnotic patterns on the walls.
"Everyone," Winston called out. "We need to get to the back of the ship! All Supers, protect your ambassadors!"
While everyone headed to the back of the ship, Elastigirl, Spider-Man, and Voyd made it to the top of the Everjust to see Evelyn's jet taking off.
"We're too late," Voyd said.
"Oh no, you don't!" Spider-Man exclaimed as he and Elastigirl jumped into a portal Voyd opened. Despite Voyd's many tries, the two made it to the belly of the jet.
Once Elastigirl and Spider-Man snuck into the jet's cabin, Evelyn's voice appeared. "Welcome aboard, Elastigirl and Spider-Man. Although we haven't yet reached our cruising altitude..."
Evelyn suddenly flew the jet wildly, throwing Spider-Man and Elastigirl around. "...feel free to ROAM about the cabin! Or you could just relax…and let the cabin ROAM ABOUT YOU!"
Just then, Spider-Man's spider-sense tingled when oxygen masks appeared. "Evelyn turned off the pressure!"
Down below, the Supers assembled at the front of the Everjust, which was still heading to the city.
"We went to the engine room!" Mr. Incredible said. "We shut off the engines, but it wasn't enough! We're still heading to shore!"
"Well, we gotta do something!" Frozone replied. "Because trying to slow it down ain't working."
"Hey, what about turning the boat?" Dash asked.
"The steering's been destroyed!" Mr. Incredible and Frozone reminded in unison.
"Dash means from outside!" Violet said. "If we break off one of the foils and turn the rudder, we can veer the ship away from the city!"
"That might work," Mr. Incredible agreed.
"I'll turn the front while you turn the rear," Frozone said.
"Using the rudder? That's underwater! How am I supposed to get—Ugh, all right. Come on, kids."
Remembering Peter's words and his promise to her, Violet stopped her father. "Dad! I know this will work, but…if it doesn't and we crash, my shields are probably better protection than the ship. I should stay here with Jack-Jack.
Mr. Incredible smiled. "That's my girl."
"By the way, Peter and I asked each other out."
Meanwhile, Elastigirl and Spider-Man made it to the cockpit of Evelyn's jet when Evelyn was putting on an oxygen mask over her face and already noticed their arrival.
"You know what's sad?" Evelyn said as she made the jet go higher and higher, making the two Supers hit the wall. "If it weren't for your core beliefs and Peter's constant meddling, I thought we could've been good friends."
"At least I have…core beliefs…," Elastigirl replied, feeling woozy because of the lack of oxygen. The same thing is happening to Spider-Man. "And so does Peter…"
"The reputations of superheroes are ruined," Evelyn said as she loomed over Spider-Man and grabbed him by the throat. "You will never become legal again. Ever!"
"Oh, come on, please?" Spider-Man said, struggling from Evelyn grabbing him harder.
Evelyn laughed. "No."
"Pretty please?"
"No!" Evelyn answered, sounding more stern.
"Not even a cherry on top…?"
"Oh, wait, I'm enjoying this," Evelyn said. "You really are something else, Peter. After all, you and your uncle are both FOOLS for being such believers in Supers. Ben Parker's death was a favor, but yours…will be a triumph."
"I don't wanna die.
"Ah, nobody does," Evelyn replied as she threw Spider-Man to the ground, chuckling wickedly. "Not such a wrong way to go."
Just when Spider-Man lost hope, Elastigirl picked up the flare gun. She fired it at Evelyn's oxygen tank, sending her plummeting toward the ocean. She then grabbed Spider-Man and grabbed oxygen masks for themselves to breathe in.
Elastigirl turned the jet around and set it to autopilot as she and Spider-Man leaped out the window and quickly caught up to Evelyn midair.
As the three people were about to hit the ocean, Voyd opened a portal on the surface, and they all landed safely on the ship's deck, which was about to turn and create a massive wave.
"EVERYONE! BRACE YOURSELVES!" Frozone exclaimed.
"CRASH POSITIONS!" Mr. Incredible cried as Frozone used his powers to transform the wave into a soft snowbank barrier between the ship and the city.
And just like that, the ship finally stopped, and everyone was saved.
Elastigirl turned to Mr. Incredible. "I missed Jack-Jack's first power?!"
"Actually, you missed the first seventeen," Mr. Incredible replied as Jack-Jack multiplied himself, and everyone laughed.
"We did it," Peter said as he pulled Violet in for a warm hug and sighed in relief. But then suddenly, as he pulled away from her awkwardly, he felt…frozen, as if he stopped moving.
"Peter? Peter?!" Violet called out as the Incredibles and Frozone gathered around Spider-Man.
"What's going on?" Dash asked. "He stopped moving!"
Peter was hovering in the air in some white void with his eyes closed until he landed safely on the ground and slowly opened his eyes in surprise.
"Hello?" Peter called out to someone. "Helllllooooooo…?! Uh, is this heaven? Okay, this can't be heaven."
Just then, a voice appeared in this quiet void. "Peter Parker, the Spider-Man of Earth-TRNA113"
Peter whirled around to see a young teenage woman with red hair sporting a pair of goggles with red lenses while wearing a long, red trench coat underneath her red costume and black boots.
"Okay, this cannot totally be heaven," Peter said as he faced the strange woman. "Um, tell me you're not God."
The young woman just chuckled. "No, I'm not. But have I got a story for you?"
