Back so soon? You should take a break and go outside… To the Sucky Outdoors! Anyway, I've got a new chapter for all of y'all to enjoy! We're down four campers and twenty are left to go! I hope you enjoy reading this fic… because you're about to get a lick… of chapter six…
Chris appeared on the docks of Camp Wawanakwa with a flashy grin.
"Welcome back to Total! Drama! Island! In the last episode, the campers competed with each other in the coveted Total Drama's Got Talent!" The camera flashed to Trent singing his ego-stroking song to Chris.
"We saw some surprising skills displayed by our campers! I was honestly impressed by these teens! It almost makes me feel bad for killing them… almost…" The camera flashed to Tyler swearing in pain onstage after dropping a weight onto his toes.
"Heather tried to be a scheming weasel and ordered one gothic diary… only for her to throw it away after deeming it useless!" The camera flashed to Katie giving Gwen's diary to the Queen Bee. It quickly flashed to Heather groaning in frustration and tossing the book to a shrub.
"We also saw the Codemeister finally shed his perverted ways after Trent gave him wise advice! He returned Gwen's diary to the goth and Trent vouched for the kid before Gwen could give him a high-ratings-worthy pummel on live TV!" The camera flashed to Cody picking up the diary from the foliage and returning it to Gwen, who lunged at the tech geek before Trent intervened.
"Unfortunately, Lindsay's performance did not fare well for her team! Too bad! She was a real beauty!" Chris gave a wolf's whistle. "She cried a lot before eating the grenade I painted to look like a pineapple!"
Chris held a duplicated grenade and chuckled to the camera. "I knew she would try to eat it! Hilarious stuff! Plus, Chef now owes me twenty buckaroos!" Chris held up a twenty-dollar bill.
"Anyways, my favorite contestant went boom, and tidbits of her covered our traumatized campers!" The camera flashed to Lindsay's head exploding. Millions of Lindsay chunks splattered all over the scene. Her blood and brain matter rained upon the grassy ground as her gorgeous body fell back with a bloody stub for a neck. Her blue bandana floated down and covered the headless corpse's stubby neck.
"We all knew that she was brainless! Literally! Haha! Anyways! Who will live? Who will die? Who will tell their story? Uh? Me! See more action right here on Total! Drama! Island!"
Theme Song
Bridgette had her mouth agape as Chris planted Chef's cleaver in Courtney's skull. The CIT had dead black eyes and dark black tears streaming from her face. Courtney was no more and Chris took the cleaver out of her forehead.
Chris twisted his neck in an impossible spider-like way. His eyes had black and white alternating rings and his grin was blinding like the sun.
Courtney's corpse dropped to the floor and Chris eyed his spiraling eyes at Geoff. The party boy's commonly positive mood was plagued with worries. He gave a pleading look to Bridgette and called out her name as Chris slashed him in half.
Bridgette had tears falling out of her eyes as the host gave a hearty laugh. The party boy's plead for Bridgette rang through her ears. Chris ran toward her direction and took a slash at her neck, causing her to choke blood on the floor.
Bridgette held her neck as Chris slashed her again and again, causing more of her blood to leak onto the floor.
Suddenly, the surfer woke up in a frenzy. She was hyperventilating and had tears coming from her eyes. She had a horrendous nightmare.
Bridgette looked around the room frantically. Above her, where she couldn't see, was Courtney snoozing away. Across the room was Sadie in her bunk bed and Eva in her recently personal bunk bed, the two bass girls were sleeping.
The surfer chick got her senses together as she rubbed her eyes, getting rid of her tears. She grazed her finger along her neck. There were no gashes at all, just her smooth neck.
She sighed her breath again before getting out of her bed. I need to get some fresh air. She thought.
The cabin doors flung wide open and Bridgette left the girl's cabin. Immediately, Bridgette spotted a certain blonde boy with a pink shirt snoozing with his cowboy hat covering his eyes on a lawn chair.
Geoff had tried to spend the evening fixing his skateboard. He used different types of glue, tape, and even some of Chef's dinner food. The latter had surprisingly worked well to keep the skateboard together before lighting it on fire. Bridgette thought he might have fallen asleep after failing to fix his skateboard.
She surveyed the area and saw no other campers around. They all were inside, sleeping in their cabins. The interns and cameramen were sleeping in the employee section of the island. Chef and Chris were likely sleeping in their own personal quarters. She had no idea if somebody was monitoring the security cameras to put her back to sleep.
She sat down on a log by the snoozing blonde. She looked at him with tired eyes. How can you be so optimistic here? How can you not spend every living second being scared of your potential death?
The party animal woke up and blinked multiple times.
"Bridge?" He gave a dazed look at his crush along with a cozy smile.
The surfer girl smiled back and put her hand on his arm, rubbing it smoothly.
Geoff had a look of alertness on his face as he realized the sky was dead night.
"Oh, shit! Did I miss the party?"
Bridgette chuckled lightly. "No, Geoff, you didn't miss any party."
Geoff sighed and rubbed his forehead. "I guess I should go back to my cabin then, g'night Bridge!"
The surfer chick grabbed Geoff's arm and pulled him back into the lawn chair he was asleep on.
Geoff was surprised and a bit flustered as he fell back into his seat.
"Listen, Geoff. I want to talk."
The party dude felt butterflies flying in his stomach and was surprised by the sudden confrontation with his crush.
"Uh… About what, Bridge?"
Geoff tried to play off as calm and collected, but one could find out his nervousness in his voice.
"About us…" Bridgette spoke calmly. She felt a spiritual sense of serenity whenever she was around the jovial blonde.
Geoff's heartbeat slowly grew faster and faster. "Yeah?"
"When I first arrived here… I was heartbroken. I imagined millions of possibilities of how I'd perish here. People stepping over me to come out on top, Chris executing me for the most minor mistake, and I still feel some of that now, although to a bit of a lesser degree…
…because of you."
Geoff looked shocked and stuttered a bit.
"Me?"
"Yes, you always bring everyone's mood up, especially mine. Anytime I'm with you, life just feels so…"
"...radical?"
"It feels like I can at least enjoy my final moments here with you. I definitely know that you want to."
Bridgette took a jab at the party boy's obvious crush as he blushed in embarrassment.
"So, uhh… What do you mean by that Bridge?"
"What I mean is that we should spend our last days here.
Not worrying about what's going to happen.
Just enjoying the moment… together…"
Bridgette leaned in forward towards the surprised party boy. Her lips clashed with his as a flurry of flowers flew through Geoff's heart.
He closed his eyes and leaned back at the surfer girl, closing his eyes.
The kiss lasted a few more seconds before both blondes pulled back.
"Woah. Was not expecting that."
To say that Geoff was surprised would be an understatement, to say the least. His optimistic goofiness in Hell on Earth had landed him the sweetest girl of his dreams. His tiny mind was flustered with thousands of confusing thoughts before he blinked back at the girl of his dreams.
"You can expect more of that."
Bridgette felt her heart passionate for Geoff. In her eyes, he was a valiant, cheerful symbol of how Chris could never break his spirit. No matter what happens, she will have Geoff with her on the island. She shouldn't worry about what would happen in the future, just the silent soothing moment with Geoff.
Instead of guiding the party boy back to sleep in the cabins, she guided him into the boathouse, far away from the main center of camp.
The clock read 7:43 as Katie woke up naturally. She had dreamed about her memories with Sadie, as most of her dreams were.
She leisurely left her bed and stretched. She grabbed her clothes and exited the cabin.
Immediately outside was her large lovable best friend. A satisfied smile formed on her face as she walked up to the bench her BFFFL was sitting on.
She walked up to her bestie and sat down on the bench beside her.
"Hey, bestie!" Katie gave a hearty smile to Sadie. The larger BFFFL narrowed her eyes at her.
"Katie! How are you doing? We haven't talked a lot with each other in these past days…"
"I'm sorry about that, Sadie! I've just been kinda busy in these past few days."
"With who? Your new friends?" Sadie crossed her arms and had an upset mood on her face.
"Sadie… I've just been busy…"
Sadie stood up with anger in her eyes.
"No! You've been avoiding me! Your BFFFL! You're replacing me with new friends!"
Katie was shocked by her best friend's unexpected outburst.
"Sadie! I'm not replacing you! It's just that I've been helping out my team in challenges!"
Sadie rolled her eyes at her skinny BFFFL.
"Oh yeah, like yesterday when you totally were showing off your talent on stage! You. Are. Avoiding. Me!" Sadie pointed her finger at Katie's chest, growing closer and closer with each word.
Katie sighed. It was true that she was distancing herself from Sadie. She was so wrapped up in her alliance's schemes and the game that she hadn't spent much time talking with Sadie except for small moments in the mess hall.
"Sadie. Let's not argue. Not here. You're right about me avoiding you, but I really am getting myself wrapped in the game and my alliance."
Sadie scoffed. Was Katie's other alliance more important than her friendship?
"Alliance… Come on, Katie! What about our alliance- no- friendship? We are BFFFLs! We do everything together!"
The Malaysian BFFFL leaned forward out of her seat and hugged her bestie. "I'm sorry, Sadie. I'll make it up to you."
Her hug was returned and Sadie gave a soft smile.
"Thanks, Katie. Both of us won't be able to get out of here without us working together. And only together."
Katie pulled back from her hug and gave Sadie a confused look. "Sadie? What do you mean by that?"
"Well, silly, I know for a fact that if we work together, we can accomplish anything! We just have to remain together! We still have so much to live through together…"
Katie was silent to her best friend for a second and gave her a worried smile.
"Well… Then don't just sit around by yourself, Sadie. Try your hardest to help out your team, okay?"
"Of course, I'm helping out my team! They all like me!"
"Just… please be careful… okay?" Katie hugged her best friend again. This time it lasted a lot longer than the first.
After the hug ended, Sadie got up from the bench and left to go to the communal bathrooms.
Katie sighed when she was all alone on the wooden bench.
Please don't take Sadie away from me.
(Confessional: Sadie)
Sadie crossed her arms and scoffed.
"I hope those Gophers stop hogging Katie and let her spend time with me! I need her after all… I know that as long as we stay together, everything will be… fine…"
(End Confessional: Sadie)
(Confessional: Katie)
Katie sighed and leaned against the side of the confessional.
"I know I haven't spent too much time with Sadie, but can you blame me? She's not putting in the same effort I am to ensure she stays alive… All I can do is pray that her team doesn't think she's…"
Katie sighed again and the confessional turned to gray static.
(End Confessional: Katie)
The camera cut forward to the mess hall. Campers were receiving an exquisite meal of pancakes with fresh toenails. Truly scrumptious.
Not many comments were made about the blonde bombshell's absence. At the most Ezekiel gave a short prayer and Heather made a witty comment.
Chris noticed the silence of the mess hall through the cameras and entered the large room with a megaphone.
The megaphone screeched, causing all the campers to wince. "Okay, campers! This is boring! No drama? No mourning for my favorite contestant? No tension-filled fighting we can show on international TV? Not even any saucy clips in the showers?"
Gwen scowled and threw her pancake at the host. "We're sixteen, Jackass!"
Chris dodged the pancake and smiled. "That's the attitude I'm looking for! Nice job, Gwen!"
Gwen rolled her eyes and returned to her food.
"Whatever! You guys are getting your daily poster!" Chris pulled out a small remote from his pocket and pressed its shiny red button.
Lindsay's poster flickered from her innocent smiling face to a headless corpse. The screen was tinted slightly red as usual and the corpse of Lindsay lay dead on the grass. Bits of flesh and bone could be seen scattered randomly around the scene.
No campers looked up at the poster. They silently ate their revolting meals.
"She should've done better onstage…" Trent muttered before returning to his food.
"Amen to that…" LeShawna replied.
Chris looked shocked to find his contestants not as petrified as they were the previous days. "Are you kidding me? Have you guys already gotten used to this song and dance?"
Nobody dared to speak up.
"Not even you, Cody? Don't you miss that blonde bombshell's beautiful body?" Chris fluttered his eyebrows, imitating the dead girl.
Cody shrugged. "I guess…"
Trent raised an eyebrow down at the tech geek.
"...because she was too innocent for this island?"
Trent shrugged with approval as Chris looked shocked at the geek's answer. "Are you kidding me? Fine! See if I care, entitled TV stars! Next challenge!"
The host pulled out a green and red map. He threw the green map at Beth who caught it. He threw the red map, which bounced off of Tyler's head, knocking the jock to the ground, and into Bridgette's hands.
Geoff helped up Tyler as Chris spoke into his megaphone.
"Today, both teams will be going camping in the woods! The maps will guide you to a campsite in the woods with tents and a few supplies."
"Sounds easy enough," Beth said.
"Of course it is, Beth! Just watch out for snakes, alligators, bears, and the legendary Sasquatchanakwa!" Chris smiled shinily at the wannabe
"Hold up, did you say bears?" LeShawna asked frighteningly.
"Yeah. He did. Why? Excited to see your relatives?" Heather quipped slyly.
LeShawna glared daggers at the Queen Bee as Chris chuckled.
"Yup! And don't forget the mysterious Sasquatchanakwa! Legend has it that he roams around these woods looking for teenagers to eat!" Chris gave a devilish grin.
"Ooh! I'm so scared!" Duncan said sarcastically. "Yeah, man, that's not much different from here."
Chef threw his cleaver so it would just fly by Duncan's ear and land on his meal. The Killer Bass yelped as the blade collided with the plate.
"Thanks for the message, Chef! We at least have the decency of not eating you alive, you know! Now that I say that out loud, that's a good idea for a cannibal challenge…"
Trent and Cody, who were right next to the host had their eyes wide before Chris chuckled again.
"Anyways! Go out to the woods and stay there overnight! The first full team back wins immunity!"
Chris sounded an air horn as the campers finished their meal and exited the cabins.
The scene flashed to the Screaming Gophers navigating through the woods. Heather was leading the pack after having a little quarrel with LeShawna about who would lead the group.
Right behind Heather was Justin, Trent, and Cody. Further behind them were LeShawna, Beth, and Gwen. Beth and LeShawna were talking with each other while Gwen walked in silence. In the very back was Katie and Noah. The former had something dwelling in her mind.
"Hey, Noah. I wanted to talk with you about something."
Noah raised an eyebrow at the girl.
"I noticed yesterday before Lindsay… you know…" Katie gestured her hands while giving a remorseful smile.
"That what?" Noah asked.
"Before all that, you told Lindsay that 'she wouldn't have to suffer through this anymore.'" Katie made quotation marks with her fingers.
"Are you wondering what I mean by that?" Noah asked. He thought the answer was pretty obvious.
"No, I was wondering why you told her that."
Noah shrugged. "I don't know, honestly. I guess I kinda felt bad for her. It's not like it matters too much. Lindsay is dead now, and that's the important part."
The bookworm walked quicker with the group as he noticed the two of them were lagging behind a bit.
The camera flashed to the Killer Bass traversing through the thicket of trees. Courtney and Duncan were in the front of the pack with Geoff and Bridgette close behind them. Ezekiel, Tyler, and Harold were in the middle of the group while Sadie wheeled Eva reluctantly.
The surfer chick looked around the woods with a frantic look. She was afraid of the woods ever since she had gotten lost for a whole day in them as a child.
The party animal took notice of her frantic looking. "You scared of the woods, Bridge?"
Bridgette nodded her head while navigating the trees.
"Ever since I was a little kid. I got lost in them for a whole day while trying to find blueberries until a few forest rangers found me. I was so happy to be reunited with my family though…"
Geoff gave a smile at the surfer. "Don't worry, babe. We won't lose you in these woods. I'll keep my eye on you." Geoff put his right arm around the surfer while Duncan raised an eyebrow at the couple behind them.
Duncan leaned in and whispered to Courtney. "Have you noticed Bridgette and Geoff being a bit more… chummier? Lately?"
Courtney kept her eyes on the map, navigating through the dense woods. "I kinda see it, now that you mention it, but I gotta keep navigating through these woods, Duncan, I can't let my team down today."
Duncan smirked at the CIT. "Determined, now, aren't we princess?"
Courtney took her eyes off the map for once and looked at the delinquent.
"Of course! I can't let another one of my teammates… die again…" Courtney shuddered at the thought.
Duncan, for a brief second, had a look of discomfort before returning to his smug form.
"Court, I see where you're coming from, but you win some, you lose some. If you want to make it out of here, you're gonna have to accept that people are gonna… die…"
Courtney kept walking with her eyes on the map. "I know that. I highly intend to get out of here with my life intact."
"As do I," Duncan said.
"But it's still so… uncomforting, to see people I know and have spoken to just… ugh…" Courtney shuddered in disgust.
"I know, Court, I hate people dying too, as much as my criminalistic ways might portray, but we all gotta toughen up and not look back if you wanna get out of here alive."
Courtney smiled with an uninterrupted gaze at her map. "You know when I first saw you on my team, I'd thought you'd be more immature and cocky, but I guess not."
Duncan smirked back. "Sure, I'd let myself a bit more loose anywhere else, but definitely not here."
Courtney looked up from her map and smiled as she saw an unlit campfire and a duffel bag. "Finally! We've arrived!"
(Confessional: Duncan)
Duncan scraped the side of the confessional with a sharp stick, his replacement for his pocketknife since it had been confiscated by Chris.
"I can tell that Court's determined to get her ass out of here and do whatever it is that uptight rich girls like her do. She's one of the few alright ones here besides the lovebirds."
Duncan stopped scraping the side of the confessional and pointed the twig straight into the camera with angry eyes.
"Don't think that it means that I won't hesitate to curb-stomp her if it comes to it. Got it?
(End Confessional: Duncan)
(Confessional: Courtney)
Courtney sat formally as she spoke to the camera.
"I'm glad that Duncan gave those words of encouragement. If I want to be a competent leader, I should put my efforts first and my emotions second. As much as I dislike it, I shouldn't hesitate to try to curb-stomp somebody if it comes to it."
Courtney shuddered at the thought.
"That might be too much of an exaggeration though. But metaphorically, I need to be prepared for anything!"
(End Confessional: Courtney)
The camera cuts to the Gophers at their campsite. Numerous Gophers were out foraging for firewood or food, as they discovered they needed to gather their food when they arrived at the campsite.
Beth, LeShawna, and Gwen were pitching up tents while Heather was snoozing away on a log.
Beth and LeShawna both laughed as LeShawna went over a story on how she got revenge on her cousin for totaling her car.
"You replaced her conditioner with Bleach? That's crazy! I wouldn't ever imagine doing that to my family!"
"She deserved it though! Total asshole that never even apologized, hon."
Beth looked over the progress Gwen was making on tent pitching. "Wasn't that the funniest story ever, Gwen, or what?"
Gwen shrugged. "I guess."
LeShawna put her hand on Beth's shoulder. "Girl, I noticed that you're a bit of a nervous wreck, lately. With those fire batons, yesterday nearly burning us down."
Beth smiled back at the girl, she was surprised by the sudden confrontation. "R- Really? I mean it's mostly from being here, I guess… I know that I'm not exactly survivor material…" Beth had stopped hammering in the nails to the tent and looked down at the ground.
LeShawna smiled. "Hon, Imma be honest with you, if it comes to it, I'm gonna have to put an end to you. But don't let yourself be discouraged because spoiled-rich girl barks back at you while putting in no effort!"
"I- I don't know, LeShawna… I'm not exactly the strongest, smartest, bravest, or really much of anything for that matter." Beth lisped as LeShawna gave a reassuring look at her.
"Hey. Don't talk like that. If Queen of Mean can laze around all day and not give a flying fuck about her scrawny ass being the next one on the chopping block, that's fine by me!"
Gwen scoffed and glared at Heather, who was snoozing on a log.
"How does that idiot even do that? She just bosses us around and expects that she won't be next if she doesn't contribute at all!"
Beth shrugged as she finished pitching up her tent. "Who knows, but if we want her gone soon, we have to get the votes on our side, which should be easy."
LeShawna patted Beth on her back. "Atta, girl. Who says you ain't the smartest? We just gotta convince people to vote with us if we lose. Not that we plan to or anything."
Beth stuttered a bit while thinking. "M- maybe we can try to convince Justin?"
Gwen smiled. "Of course, you choose the hot guy."
Beth looked back at the goth with a glare. "W- Well why not? Would you want Trent instead? I've seen the way you've been looking at him!"
Gwen shrugged. "I'm not stupid. This is life or death. Sure he's kinda cute, I guess, but there are much more important matters at hand."
The ghetto girl rolled her eyes before putting an arm around both girls' shoulders, bringing them closer.
"Girls, girls. Calm down. We can try to convince both of them to vote off mean-girl. Then we can dominate this game, 'kay?"
(Confessional: Gwen)
Gwen leaned against the side of the confessional. The lightbulb flickered with the night sky contrasting against it.
"I'm not much of a socializer like LeShawna and Beth are. I know I'll eventually have to backstab one of them so why even bother? I do agree that we should at least try to get Heather's ass out of here ASAP.
(End Confessional: Gwen)
(Confessional: LeShawna)
LeShawna crossed her arms in a sassy attitude before speaking to the camera.
"Beth has some confidence issues. I bet pretty prom queen wannabe's snarky comments are just fueling it. I like Beth. That ain't gonna change anything down the line if I eventually have to give her the boot."
(End Confessional: LeShawna)
(Confessional: Beth)
Beth smiled nervously into the camera. Sweat could be seen forming on the side of her face.
"I'm glad LeShawna is nice and trying to make me more confident! Maybe I'm not as weak as Heather says I am…"
Beth looked into the camera with a nervous smile.
(End Confessional: Beth)
Ezekiel pulled his fish-filled net out of the rapid stream and gave it to Harold, who quickly emptied the net into Tyler's leather sack.
The three Bass members were fishing for food for their teammates to chow down on.
Harold breathed in the leafy air deeply before turning to his teammates, who were occupied with their tasks.
"Guys. I think we should talk strategy." Harold pushed his glasses up his nose.
"I'm not too big on this strategy talk, eh." Ezekiel said as he splashed the fishing net into the stream to gather more fish.
"Well if we all want to try to get out of here alive, we should talk at least some strategy," Harold said back, raising his finger.
Tyler nodded. "Harold's right, Zeke, we are on the weaker side of our team."
"And, it seems like the four most formidable members of our team had allied themselves together, which can prove to be detrimental to our attempts to advance in this game," Harold added in.
The jock looked at the dweeb with confusion of his words.
"Geoff, Courtney, Bridgette, and Duncan made an alliance, which is no good. Gosh!" Harold rearranged his words so the less smart jock could understand.
"So what should we do, bro?" Tyler asked.
"I suggest we try to bring Eva and Sadie on our side so we can vote out the stronger alliance, it may make us weaker as a team, but it ensures our survival a bit more in the case we lose more."
"That seems quite cruel, eh. Getting rid of the stronger members because they pose a threat to us. But I can see where you coming from." Ezekiel added before giving Harold his fishing net.
Harold emptied the net once more into Tyler's bag, dropping three small fish into it.
"I don't know about that, bros, that sounds like it'll bring us down too. Won't that just lead to our team dissolving before the Gophers?"
The dweeb stretched his arms before answering. "I assume that the teams will dissolve naturally around the halfway point. Chris would find it boring and predictable if one team just loses over and over again."
Tyler successfully tied up the sack after failing and dropping it a few times. "Okay… I'm just not a fan of Eva. She scares me. A lot. Even though her legs are broken she makes a good point that her arms work perfectly fine…"
Ezekiel raised an eyebrow at Tyler, which was covered by his toque. "Don't say that, Tyler. Eva is a good person, she is uncomfortable being weak, and that is why she tries to push people away."
"True… but with her broken legs and all… it's gonna slow us down…"
Ezekiel looked straight into Tyler's eyes.
"Tyler. How would you feel if you were in the same position as Eva? If you were disabled? If you couldn't move your legs?
Tyler sighed. "I'd feel hopeless, man. I'd be scared that every day would be my last. I see what you mean."
Ezekiel nodded. "Exactly, so don't be so quick to judge Eva."
(Confessional: Harold)
Harold looked around the confessional with a neutral look before straight at the camera.
"Ezekiel and Tyler are nice people to be around. They aren't much strategist though. Ezekiel has already accepted his fate and is trying to comfort people. I like to go down with honor though, hyah!"
Harold made a karate pose in the small space, hitting his hand against the wall by accident. He held his hand in pain before sitting back down on the toilet.
"Tyler's too focused on his clumsiness to make any strategy. And I'm not trying to be rude, but… he isn't exactly the smartest… sorry Tyler."
(End Confessional: Harold)
(Confessional: Tyler)
Tyler lay back on the confessional toilet.
"I'm glad that Harold has got our backs with his strategizing. I ain't so good with that type of stuff, I just run in and get in on the action!"
Tyler clapped his hands together as he said the word 'action.'
"I'm just not huge on kicking out our strongest dudes and keeping Eva around. I know what Zeke said, but I still like winning. A lot."
(End Confessional: Tyler)
The camera flashed to the Screaming Gopher's side. The tents were pitched up as Katie and Noah returned with firewood and a few blueberries.
Justin was far off to the side, looking at himself in a hand mirror.
Beth slowly approached the model. He could see the short brunette girl in his mirror.
(Confessional: Justin)
Justin looked at himself with a handmirror with narcissistic passion.
"I didn't like being out there in those woods. You know leaves or branches can fall at any time and seriously damage my smooth Hawaiian skin. How am I supposed to be an acclaimed model with scratches on my arm? It's surreal that people willingly go outside in such hazardous conditions!"
Justin shuddered at the thought of acorns falling onto his precious body and the camera turned to static.
(End Confessional: Justin)
"Hey, Beth. How are you doing." The model looked at the wannabe in the mirror and shot her a finger gun with his other hand.
"H- Hey Justin! I'm doing okay, I guess…" Beth lisped with nervousness.
"You sound nervous. I don't blame you though when you're around a smoking hot model like me." Justin turned around, pocketing his hand mirror before flexing his gorgeous arms.
Beth blushed profusely. She was nervous but more in general rather than because of Justin's beautiful body.
"W- well I came over because I have a proposal."
Justin raised his eyebrow.
"Now, now, Beth. I know we're in a deadly situation but I'm not ready for marriage yet. As a child of the Lord, I must wait to find the one true love of my life."
Beth was dazed with confusion.
"What? No… I meant an alliance." Beth lisped. "You can join me, LeShawna, and Gwen in an alliance."
Justin gave a flashy smile back. "But I'm already in an alliance."
The wannabe raised an eyebrow at the model. "You are?"
Justin realized his mistake and quickly corrected himself.
"Yes! With me, myself, and my glamorous gluteus!"
Justin turned around and flexed his glutes.
"But! Your offer does sound intriguing, I'll decide later…"
A small smile formed on Beth's face. "Thanks! We can finally get Heather out of here if we lose!"
"You aren't planning to lose are you?"
"N- no! Of course not! I still want to live!"
Justin began walking away from the girl. "That's good to hear. I'll tell you once I decide. Okay?"
As Justin left the scene, Beth gave a loud sigh.
I hope Justin decides to join us. Maybe I should have acted more demanding.
The bush beside Beth began shaking profusely before the brunette gave a blood-curdling scream.
(Confessional: Justin)
Justin pulled out a hand mirror and looked at it instead of the camera.
"I almost slipped up there. I cannot let anybody know about our secret alliance! But maybe I should take up on Beth's offer…
…nah. Heather said if she ever caught me betraying our alliance, she'd make my face as pretty as Lindsay's. I thought it was a compliment but I remembered that her face blew up, so… not a compliment…"
(End Confessional: Justin)
Eva tapped the metal rim of her wheel- a repetitive habit that she was beginning to have.
She stared down at the cast that surrounded her legs.
She, Sadie, Geoff, and Bridgette stayed at the campsite. Duncan and Courtney went to look for firewood for the firepit and Harold, Ezekiel, and Tyler went to gather fish.
The brute couldn't do much as the three other Bass members pitched their tents.
A certain surfer chick sat down on a log next to the handicapped girl after finishing pitching up all the tents.
"Hey, Eva. How are you feeling."
"Pretty crappy considering I can't do much of anything."
The brute wanted to make a snide remark to make the girl leave but decided against it.
"Well when everybody returns with food and firewood, we can eat and then hit the sack. Does that sound alright?"
"How do you feel, Bridgette."
The strong woman's sudden question alarmed Bridgette. "Uh, fine, I guess, why do you ask?"
Eva shrugged. "You came over and asked me how I'm doing, and I guessed I should cool it before I potentially… you know… but that's not a real answer. How are you feeling?"
Bridgette looked over her shoulder at Geoff who was telling a cheerful joke to Sadie. The girl laughed out loud.
"Honestly, I'm doing much better. Geoff has cheered me a lot since I first got here."
Eva noticed Bridgette blush a bit at the mention of Geoff but decided to not bring it up.
"Is he now? Aren't you afraid that your appreciation of Geoff might mess you up in the future if something goes wrong?" Eva was careful about her wording.
"Yeah… but I'm trying to not think about that yet. I'm focusing on the now. Plus, as you said, I have to be strong if that moment comes, but with my alliance, I'm sure it's not coming soon."
Eva was touched to hear that her advice stuck with Bridgette, but was confused at the mention of an alliance.
"Alliance?"
"Oh, sorry. I'm in an alliance with Geoff, Courtney, and Duncan, sorry that you're not in it or anything…"
Eva shrugged. "Eh. It's no biggie. I can understand why. And weirdly, I'm sorta… warming up to the fact I'm… gonna die soon…"
The female brute looked past her casts and straight at the dirt ground. Bridgette was unsure of how to lighten up the situation.
"W- well I'm glad you're becoming more accepting, but don't be so dismissive, who knows, maybe your end will be farther than you think."
Eva smiled back at the surfer. "Thanks, Bridge. It takes guts to come up and talk to me."
Bridgette nodded back as the remaining members of her team arrived with new items.
"Hey, bros! We got fish!" Tyler yelled while holding up a dead fish in his hands. He, Ezekiel, and Harold exited the thicket.
"And we got firewood to cook that fish!" Duncan yelled as he entered the clearing with Courtney from the opposite side.
The camera flashes forward later to the Killer Bass chowing down on the fish that the Three Stooges had gathered. Bridgette and Geoff roasted the fish over the burning flames of the firepit. Geoff accidentally burned one of the fish and decided to eat it anyway.
"Nice haul, dudes." Geoff complimented.
"Thanks," Ezekiel replied with food in his mouth. A few tiny pieces of fish flung out of his mouth and onto Geoff's shirt. The party animal picked up the small pieces and flung them into his mouth.
An owl hooted loudly, which alerted Bridgette. The surfer turned her head to look at where the sound came from.
"Stupid owl…"
Duncan nudged the surfer chick. "Be cool. It's just an owl."
"I know I just get freaked out in the forest. Especially at night."
"You know, that reminds me of this really scary story I heard once," Duncan said after chewing down his fish.
"Sounds cool. You gotta tell us, man." Tyler said.
"You all sure? It's pretty hardcore."
"Is it really necessary to tell a scary story, considering our situation?" Courtney asked, glaring at the delinquent.
"Why not? It might be the last scary story some of us ever hear." Geoff said.
"Alright. But don't say I didn't warn ya." Duncan replied.
Duncan began going over his tale to the Killer Bass.
The camera flashed forward, facing the moon in the night sky. The camera panned down to show the Killer Bass shaking in fear at Duncan's story.
"So suddenly, they heard this tap tap tapping on the side on the side of the car. The girl was a bit freaked out and even at this point the guy was getting scared. So he turned on the car and stepped on it. And when they got back to the girl's house… she opened the door and screamed! Because there… hanging from the door handle… was the bloody hook!"
The Bass members flinched in fear after Duncan finished his story.
"They say… this killer is still alive… wandering these very woods… he can be just about anywhere, really… maybe even… right here!"
Duncan brandished a hook on his right hand and the Killer Bass all screamed out loud.
The camera zoomed in on the hook, then the camper's afraid expressions as Duncan laughed.
"Duncan! That was so not funny!" Courtney angrily said.
"Yeah, it was! I just wished it was all on camera! Oh wait it is!" Duncan laughed as he pointed his hook at the camera.
"Ugh. Whatever." Courtney said before walking off.
Cody walked with Trent, navigating their way back to camp. They had gathered fish from a stream in a similar fashion to Ezekiel. Trent carried the fish in a sack by his belt. The fish had a reeking stench and the two boys were eager to get back to camp, it was already pretty late.
"I'm glad you gave me advice yesterday, man," Cody said.
"Yeah, man, anytime," Trent said. The musician moved a branch out of the way.
"Really? How about right now? Got more advice?" Cody nudged the musician.
"Well… uh… honestly… If I was in your position I'd apologize to the girls." Trent said.
"Apologize?"
"Yeah, man. Apologize. After all you have done so far, I think the girls would appreciate it if you'd apologize for all the stuff you've pulled off."
Cody rubbed his head and looked away. "I guess… Maybe not yet…"
"Come on, dude. When your life's on the line 24/7, you should get things done sooner than later."
"I'll think about it. Got any more advice, man?"
Trent sighed. He was starting to get a bit annoyed by Cody's beckoning.
"Look man, I-"
A loud blood-curdling scream could be heard at the campsite.
The two boys said nothing as they rushed towards the action.
At camp, everyone was staring at Beth and a large grizzly bear that had entered the scene.
The bear was about eight feet tall and was approaching Beth, who slowly backed away.
Trent and Cody had their mouths wide open as only ten meters away, the bear growled and stood up, ready to attack the unfortunate wannabe.
Beth had her eyes wide, mouth open, and arms trembling.
"Run!"
"Don't move at all!"
"Punch it in the nose!"
Many different campers were telling Beth to do many different things. The wannabe was confused and scared. She couldn't die yet.
"Hurry up the trees!" Cody yelled at the other campers who quickly scampered up a wooden log. Cody and Justin helped up the campers while Trent stayed behind, keeping his eyes on Beth. He was heavily worried for Beth but didn't know what to do.
Suddenly an idea flicked into his mind.
He took the fish-filled satchel out of his belt and waved it in the air.
"Hey, bear! I got fish for you! Come and get it!"
He waved the satchel around. The grizzly bear stopped approaching Beth, who was slowly backing away.
The grizzly bear began charging at Trent's fish at high speed.
The musician threw the fish far off to the side so the bear would run off and chase it.
Unfortunately, the bear wasn't hunting down the fish, but a bigger meal.
The musician called out to Beth who had her eyes wide at the musician.
"Hey! Up the trees- OH FUCK!"
SLASH
The bear pounced on Trent who had his eyes wide at the ferocious creature. The bear raised his claw as the campers screamed at the musician.
As the bear's claw collided with Trent's chest, he let out a painful scream.
The campers screamed in fear at the musician's unfortunate fate. The furry creature clawed his sharp paws repeatedly at his torso. Trent's screams became more bloodied.
The bear continued mauling poor Trent. Again and again. The musician's screams quickly stopped after a few slashes.
Beth had tears in her eyes as she quickly scurried up the tree, not daring to look back at the bear.
LeShawna helped her up quickly. "Don't look, hon, don't look."
Beth wiped her tears as she sat down next to her friend.
Everyone averted their gaze from the mauling, yelping in remorse as the bear's clawings could be heard.
Cody had peed his pants in absolute terror.
Just a few minutes ago, Trent was fishing with him.
Just a few minutes ago, Trent was giving him advice.
Just a few minutes ago, Trent was perfectly healthy and fine.
After a few minutes, the bear lost interest in attacking the mangled corpse and bit down on his foot. The furry creature dragged away the musician away from the campsite and into the thick foliage of the forest.
Everyone was sweating with their nerves shot high. Their faces were full of remorse and fear. Katie and Beth were sobbing heavily at Trent's brutal demise. Justin threw up off the tree in disgust, luckily not hitting anybody.
Everyone was silent until Gwen broke the silence. "I- I can't believe that just happened…"
Heather, stunned by the occurrence, had no witty comment to make and simply nodded. "That's… fucking insane…"
The scene returned to silence and nobody had any clue what their next move was.
"So… what should we do now?" Cody asked.
"I guess we should wait around ten minutes to make sure the bear's gone…" Noah suggested. "Then I guess we just eat what little food we have and go to sleep…"
"What about… finding Trent?" LeShawna asked.
"And go where that bear is? No thanks. We're already lucky that he's no longer hungry…" Heather stated as the Screaming Gophers gasped at her last statement.
"This is survival of the fittest, people, better Trent than yourself." Heather crossed her arms.
"Shut your damn mouth before I feed you to the bear myself." LeShawna glared at the Queen Bee, who gulped.
"Guys, cool it, let's just wait here a bit and then go down, okay?" Gwen said, trying to calm down the tension. "This is no time for witty banter."
The two girls glared daggers at each other in silence as they waited in the night.
(Confessional: Cody)
Cody sighed in stress with his hands on his hair.
"I can't believe he's gone just like that… Trent was pretty cool and he was giving me good advice too… I just… He didn't deserve to go out like that…"
(End Confessional: Cody)
(Confessional: Beth)
Beth wiped her sweaty face before putting on her glasses.
"I- I almost died… And Trent died instead… LeShawna kept telling me that it wasn't my fault, but a part of me says it was…
I feel as if it should have been me…"
(End Confessional: Beth)
The camera flashed to the Killer Bass all sleeping in their tent. The area was compact with the nine campers as few were awake. Bridgette shook uncomfortably in the tent, alerting Geoff.
The party animal sat up as did the surfer girl. "What's wrong? Gotta go pee?"
"Like crazy. But I'm too scared to go out in the woods." Bridgette said while squirming.
"Don't worry, babe. I'll go with you, I promise I won't look."
The two blondes exited the tent, left the campsite, and went into the wooden thicket.
"Just… go wait here… I'll be quick," Bridgette said as Geoff turned around and began whistling.
Bridgette walked away to behind a bush for privacy when she heard Geoff stop whistling.
She relieved herself and walked out of the bush towards where she assumed Geoff last was.
She was surprised to see the party animal gone and looked around the area.
"Geoff? Where are you?" The surfer chick whispered loudly.
Bridgette looked around frantically to find the party animal, increasingly growing more worried.
She stumbled back a bit as she heard an owl hoot and other various noises of creatures of the night.
A large shrub far to her right began shaking violently and Bridgette snapped her gaze onto the bush.
She was about to whisper aloud Geoff's name before her instincts took over and told her to hide.
She quickly leaped into a small shrub near her, ignoring the small pains from the twigs and thorns grazing her.
She peered through the leaves to see a large furry bear walking through. The mammal had blood stained over his chest which caused Bridgette to frenzy in a worried state, thinking if Geoff had perished.
She then saw the creature drag a figure behind him. A person, no doubt, but not her fellow blonde.
The corpse was severely mangled beyond recognition but was clearly not Geoff, as shown by the figure's short black hair and green attire.
Bridgette's fear had overridden her remorse for the mammal's victim as she prayed for the bear to not notice her.
The bear stopped in his tracks and dropped the corpse's leg he was using to drag away the unfortunate victim and sniffed the air.
Bridgette's heart began beating faster as the bear sniffed closer and closer to the bush. She had no idea what to do, her heart was beating faster and she began hyperventilating.
Should she sneak away slowly? No, the noise from the bush shaking would instantly alert the bear.
Should she run away? No, bears can run much faster than humans.
Should she stay still? NO! The bear is five feet away!
Bridgette took a huge gulp before backing out of the bush, hoping that the bear wouldn't notice.
Unfortunately for her, the bear noticed her blue hoodie clashing with the dark green of the grass and growled at her as she exited the shrub.
She had no choice but to begin running. Bridgette quickly got up to her feet and made a break for it, hoping for the best.
She ran as fast as she could and the bear gave chase. She ignored any branches or leaves that she hit as her legs felt as if they were on fire.
She was not about to die today.
The bear growled out loud as it got closer and closer to Bridgette. The surfer chick took a quick look behind her as she continued sprinting.
The bear was only a meter away with its jaw wide open. Bridgette could see his sharp teeth with flesh from his attack on Trent.
She looked down at the animal's large throat before she tripped on a root. She let out an ear-piercing scream.
This was it. She was doomed.
She stumbled forward.
And fell down a ledge, down a cliff.
The bear stopped in its tracks cautiously to not fall similarly to the surfer girl.
Bridgette yelped in pain as she rolled down the cliff, hitting a few shrubs and rocks along the way before hitting the grassy ground with a thud.
Bridgette's vision was blurred and she groaned in a daze before falling unconscious.
The Gophers, after fifteen minutes of waiting, had jumped down the tree.
They all were silent as Trent's gruesome demise lingered in their brains.
Noah picked up a small sack that had stored Trent's fish, which the bear ignored.
The bookworm took a sigh before bringing the fish to the campfire, which had burnt down from its blazing flames to small embers.
Gwen dropped in firewood and the campfire busted its flames back.
Noah held the fish above the fire by piercing them with sticks like a kebab.
"So… should someone keep watch?" LeShawna asked, trying to bring everyone's minds off of their teammate's end.
Justin had a look of confusion. "Watch what? The beautiful me?"
"No, I mean watch out to make sure we wake up before the Bass… we still have a challenge to win," Beth replied.
"We can have someone stay awake and switch every hour or so," Noah said after putting the fish into the fire.
"Should we leave around six in the morning?" Cody said.
Noah nodded before handing the first completely cooked fish to the tech geek.
"I can keep watch for the first two hours. I'll wake one of you up for the next shift." Gwen said.
"You better not fall asleep on us, Gothie, or you know what happens." Heather threatened.
Gwen rolled her eyes before a few of the campers went inside the Green tent.
Back at the Bass base, Geoff returned worryingly.
"Dudes!" Geoff whispered, waking a few of the campers.
"What is it… We're sleeping…" Courtney hissed as she rubbed her eyes.
"I lost Bridgette," Geoff stated.
Courtney's fatigue went away instantly and her eyes widened.
"YOU WHAT?" Courtney barked, waking up all of the Bass.
"She needed to go to the bathroom and I was supposed to watch her, but there was a bear, and things… got complicated…" Geoff had concern on his face for Bridgette. He had climbed up a tree to hide from the bear, but couldn't find Bridgette after getting down from it.
"Ugh. Are you kidding me?" Eva whined.
"Where did you last see her?" Duncan demanded.
"The woods, bro. It's all the same." Geoff replied.
Courtney groaned in frustration as the camera transitioned back to Bridgette.
Bridgette woke up on the swaying grass. It was still the dead of night. She had no idea how much time had passed, but the moon showed that she was knocked out for at least a couple of hours.
She sat up and rubbed her head in pain. Her vision was still blurry, but slowly cleared up as she rubbed her eyes.
She examined herself quickly and was relieved to find out nothing had been broken or severely injured.
Her relief faded away after an owl hoot brought her mind back to the woods.
She was lost in the woods. Bridgette's biggest fear.
(Confessional: Bridgette)
Bridgette leaned against the confessional wall. She was much cleaner than when she was lost in the woods.
"I'm insanely scared of the woods. I was petrified, but I knew I wouldn't get anywhere by just staying there… Ugh…"
Bridgette shuddered at her memory of being lost in the woods before the camera cut back to static.
(End Confessional: Bridgette)
She took in a deep breath and exhaled before standing up and observing her area.
Numerous animal noises could be heard far from her. The surfer chick chose to walk in the direction with the least amount of noise.
Tree roots and stones covered the ground which could barely be seen from the shadows of the trees. Bridgette carefully watched each one of her steps as she trekked through the woods.
Every few meters, she would stop and survey the area to make sure there were signs of people who had passed through the area.
Bridgette was petrified by the dark thicket but tried her best to brave it out before she returned to civilization.
She had no idea how long she would be lost in the overgrown forest.
After ten minutes of strolling through the woods, an owl hooted loudly and flew by Bridgette.
She ducked down, startled by the sudden movement, and cursed loudly at the bird.
As she stood back up, glaring at the bird a voice could be heard calling through the woods.
"Who said that?" The voice said.
Bridgette was surprised and hopeful to be reunited with people finally and called back.
"I did! Bridgette! Over here!"
Bridgette walked over to where the voice originated from before popping into a sudden clearing.
She looked around but was unfamiliar with the area. Her eyes immediately connected to another pair of eyes staring at her. Coming from a certain scrawny bookworm.
"Oh. You… you're from the other team…" Noah said. "Brittany, right?"
"It's Bridgette. You're Noah?" The high IQ nodded.
"How the hell did you get here?" Noah immediately noticed the scratches and dirt all over the surfer girl. She was panting heavily, tired from all her walking and sprinting.
"I got lost. And then I got chased by a bear." Bridgette said before sitting on a rock to catch her breath.
"Wow. It seems as if bears have been rampant around here…"
"What do you mean?"
"Uh… A bear sorta kinda killed Trent." Noah said while scratching the back of his neck.
Bridgette's eyes went wide.
"I- I saw him! That's the same bear who was chasing me! That's… uh… sorry…"
Bridgette had noticed the mangled musician before she ran away from his furry attacker but never had time to think about the fact that another person had died on the forsaken island.
Noah had a surprised look on his face. "Well… uh… congratulations?"
"Thanks? I'm just glad that I finally found people… It would've sucked to be lost in those woods for any longer." Bridgette shuddered at the thought.
Noah realized that Bridgette was not on his team nonetheless. Strategically, she shouldn't stay with them.
"You… you can't stay here. Sorry." Noah reluctantly said.
"W- what? Why?" Bridgette knew exactly why but hoped that moral reasoning would win if she kept asking.
"Well, you are on the other team, you know… Sorry…"
"Can I at least stay here for the night? Please? I don't want to sleep out there… I'm afraid of the woods…" Bridgette looked back at the wooded thicket from where she had entered the campsite and shivered.
"I-" Noah thought for a second before giving in. "Fine. You can stay here. Just sleep out here on a log."
Bridgette sighed with relief before another figure emerged from one of the tents.
"Noah. What's with all your talking? Who the hell are you talking to?"
Heather's eyes connected with Bridgette's as soon as she exited the tent.
"What is she doing here?" Heather glared at Bridgette.
"I got lost from my group and found this camp." She said.
"Okay. Now get lost." Heather muttered.
Bridgette's eyes went wide at the Queen Bee's sudden rudeness.
"Noah said I could stay here overnight."
Heather's neck snapped at the scrawny bookworm sitting atop a large rock. His eyes connected with hers.
"Noah! She's on the other team!" Heather emphasized.
Noah went silent for a few seconds before nodding. "True, but isn't it the right thing to do?" Noah gave a small wink to Heather, which she noticed.
(Confessional: Heather)
Heather flicked her hair to the side before speaking.
"A secret alliance needs to have code words to get their points across. It's just the right thing to do."
(End Confessional: Heather)
"Ugh. Fine. I'm too tired to care, Bridgette can stay here, whatever." Heather stormed off back to her tent while rubbing her eyes.
Bridgette sighed with relaxation as she lay down next to a log and got some well-deserved rest.
The camera flashed to the sun rising out of the horizon. The campsite was filled had a smoldering empty firepit and vacant tents. The Screaming Gophers had left the area.
Bridgette awoke after a bird landed on the same log she was leaning up against.
The surfer tried to move her hand to rub her eyes but was restrained.
She looked down at her arms and gasped. Ropes were tied around her wrists to lock herself to the log.
Dammit. She thought.
Bridgette looked up and surveyed the area. It seemed as if the opposite team had evacuated hastily, not waking the tired surfer.
She tussled with the ropes again. They were tied tight, with each tug she pulled the log away.
After a few minutes of cursing, tugging, and pulling, Bridgette still had her hands stuck within her restraints. They were receiving rope burns from all the pulling.
She looked around the area to see if there was anything she could use to untie herself and locked her eyes on a large unburnt stick that lay by the smoldering firepit.
She dragged herself and her log to the large branch and used it to untie herself by placing the stick within the knots.
"Yes!" Bridgette cheered after untying herself. Her cheer was short-lived as she looked around the area and realized she had no clue how to get back to the main camp.
With a huge stroke of luck, she spotted trails of footsteps leading out through leaves that looked like they had been shoved through.
She'd have to brave herself through the woods once more. She took a deep breath before starting down the path.
Back at the elimination campsite, Chris and Chef were sitting on lawn chairs. The host looked at his silver watch and groaned.
"Ugh! Where the hell are those kids? I swear I'm going to enjoy eliminating someone this morning." Chris unholstered his gun and tossed it in the air before catching it playfully, with the safety on of course.
Chef shrugged. "Maggots probably rushing to get their scrawny asses over here as we speak."
"Well, duh. I just want them to get back soon! I have a spa to attend!" Chris looked directly at his stronger partner as shrubs by the two shook violently. Chris turned off his gun safety just in case.
"We made it! And we're first!" Courtney said as she exited the bush. Sadie and Duncan followed suit and high-fived.
"But Bridge…" Geoff sniffled. "I- Is she here?"
Chris lightened up in contrast to the party animal's tears. "Woah, there, folks! No Bridgette means no victory yet!"
The team's happy attitude quickly faded.
"What? I swear I'm gonna knock some sense into Bridgette when she gets here." Courtney said, infuriated by their loss.
"I guess someone took over my job, then," Eva whispered to Tyler, who nodded in nervous agreement.
"I said the full team needs to be here, this is not your full team." Chris restated.
Suddenly, the same shrub where the Bass popped out began shaking again.
"Dammit! We're late!" Heather said as she exited the bush first.
Gwen and Beth exited shortly after and looked at the other team.
"Not quite! The Killer Bass are still missing one fish!" Chris announced.
Heather grew a sly smile and a few other of the Gophers had a guilty look on their face.
"Too bad that fishie is tied up in the middle of the woods!" Heather smiled arrogantly.
Many of the Killer Bass were shocked by the Queen Bee's statement.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Duncan asked.
"It means we tied Bridgette to a tree while she was asleep, Juvie." Heather crossed her arms and rolled her eyes.
"Aww, sick! That's, like, her biggest fear, dude!" Geoff was furious at the mean girl.
"What do you mean we? It was your idea." Beth pointed at the raven-haired girl's chest.
"It was a team effort though, Miss Piggy, I didn't see any objections when I told all of you my plan." Heather rolled her eyes again.
(Confessional: Noah)
Noah crossed his arms and leaned against the side of the confessional.
"Just to be clear, it was my plan. But if Heather wants to take credit for other people's work and put a target on her back, she could be my guest."
(End Confessional: Noah)
"Even though you left Bridgette in the woods, your team is still missing an Elvis Presley, it seems!" Chris observed the team and noticed Trent's absence.
"Uh… he kinda… got mauled by a bear…" LeShawna said with remorse.
Chris looked impressed, but not surprised. "Huh. Well, that's a darn shame. Too bad you didn't bring his body back or else you guys would've won."
The Gophers looked shocked. "What? But he's dead! This is our full team right here!" Noah said with annoyance.
"Too bad. Don't care. And Trent was killed, not eliminated!" Chris said, not caring at all.
"You're just making the rules on the spot!" Gwen pointed at the host.
"Yes. Yes, I am. But you guys can't do jack about it!" Chris gave finger guns to the contestants.
Chris laughed as the Gophers mumbled with annoyance.
The bushes behind the Screaming Gophers shook for the third time before a disheveled surfer collapsed out of it.
"I'm… here… assholes…" She said as she lay down on the floor.
"Bridge!" Geoff said with a huge smile. He picked up the surfer off of the grassy ground and hugged her.
"Geoff!" She cheered albeit much less enthusiastically due to her fatigue.
"Nice tying skills." Noah sarcastically complimented the Queen Bee.
"Ugh." She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.
"And with all of the members back first, THE KILLER BASS WIN!" Chris announced through a megaphone that Chef had given to him.
The Bass cheered loudly except for a tired Bridgette which had returned Geoff's hug, while the Gophers groaned in disappointment.
"That's not fair! Trent's already dead! That doesn't mean we have to vote someone off… right?" Cody whined.
Chris cackled a devilish laugh for a few seconds, a laugh so petrifying it could make your skin curl off.
"No! Where's the fun in that!" Chris said as he smiled gleefully at a camper's upcoming death.
The Gophers had shocked looks on their faces.
They were about to lose two members in one challenge.
The camera flashed to Geoff and Bridgette talking to one another.
"...and then I fell asleep only to be woken up tied to a log. So I freed myself with a big stick I found and followed the other team's footsteps and arrived there." Bridgette finished her story.
"Wow. That's harsh, dudette. I can't believe they just left you like that." Geoff placed his arm around the surfer girl comfortably.
"Yeah. It was horrifying, I supposed I walked into that though. I can't believe I went through all that shit. I'm happy to be back here with you, though." Bridgette gave a small kiss on Geoff's cheek.
"I'm glad you're safe too, Bridge, I was worried sick about you! I spent hours looking for you! I was hoping you didn't end up as bear chow!"
"Thanks, I was worried about you too when that bear showed up. I'm lucky to have gotten out of there alive! Just don't you ever leave me there again, okay?"
Geoff nodded at his girlfriend as Courtney appeared from the side of the screen.
"There you two are!" The CIT had her hands on her hips and spoke with irritation.
Bridgette looked up at her tan friend. "Hey, Courtney, what's up."
"I'll tell you what's up. You two almost lost the challenge for us today!" Courtney spoke with an annoyed attitude.
"Hey, dudette, lay off, it wasn't our fault. A bear almost nicked us. It was gnarly." Geoff replied calmly with an arm around Bridgette.
"What's not gnarly is almost losing! If the Gophers didn't have one of their teammates die today, we'd be down a member because of your careless attitude." Courtney pointed at Geoff's chest. "You should have kept a better eye on Bridgette."
Bridgette was quickly getting upset at Courtney. "Courtney! Calm down! It wasn't his fault! There was a bear!"
"And you! Bridgette, you shouldn't have gone so deep in the woods just to take a crap!"
Bridgette stood up out of her seat to be at equal height at the CIT.
"Courtney. Calm it now." Bridgette glared straight into Courtney's eyes.
The mocha-skinned girl took in a deep sigh. "Fine. Sorry. It's just… We cannot lose. We all know what happens when we do…"
"You don't have to be so stressed about it though, brah." Geoff reassured while leaning back on the lawn chair he and Bridgette were sitting on.
Courtney nodded without care for Geoff's advice. "I know. Just know that I'm doing this because I want to succeed."
(Confessional: Courtney)
Courtney crossed her arms and leaned against the wall. She had a tired expression on her face.
"I know that I may have overreacted a bit there, but can you blame me? Bridgette has nearly lost us two challenges and we cannot afford to be sloppy at all! Like Duncan said: we have to do whatever it takes to win."
(End Confessional: Courtney)
The camera flashed to the Screaming Gopher's female cabin. Gwen was sound asleep on the top of her bunk with her diary covering her face. Beth was sitting on her bunk with her elbow on her legs and hands holding up her chin. LeShawna entered the room and noticed the short brunette girl sighing.
"Hey, hon, how are you holding up?" LeShawna took a seat beside Beth on the bed.
"Not well… I still feel bad about what happened to Trent…" Beth looked down at the wooden planks.
"Don't be, hon, it's not your fault at all," LeShawna reassured while putting her hand on Beth's shoulder.
"But it feels like it is." Beth sighed.
"Girl, you can't just mope around at every single damn thing! You gotta be tough as nails here! I've started to grow a liking to you, and it would be a damn shame if you just cried all the time. I've seen you, you aren't some weak girl, you can be tough, and you gotta be if you wanna outlive Heather."
LeShawna's words gave small bursts of inspiration to Beth. The wannabe nodded. "You're right. Thank's LeShawna."
The shorter girl gave the ghetto girl a large hug as a brunette tech geek stumbled into the room.
Gwen woke up, almost as if she could detect him with a secret sixth sense, and snapped her neck towards him. "What do you want?" She hissed.
"Uh, I just wanted too… apologize…" Cody said, stumbling over his words.
"Apologize? Really, boy?" LeShawna looked unconvinced.
"Yeah! When Trent died it made me realize how short life is here on the island… and I don't wanna die before I get the chance to apologize to you all properly… so… I'm sorry."
"You are sorry for what exactly?" Gwen asked.
"I'm sorry for acting like a creep to you all," Cody said honestly.
LeShawna saw an opportunity with Cody's apology.
"Thanks, Cody, but if you're really sorry, you'll vote Heather off with us, okay?" LeShawna asked.
"Of course! Sure! I'll vote Heather off! I promise!" Cody said.
(Confessional: Cody)
Cody wiped sweat off of his forehead in relief.
"Phew! I'm glad I got that off my checklist! I wished Trent were still here. He could have given me more advice and helped me out, but nothing can change that. From now on, the Codemeister has one goal: getting my ass out of here alive!"
(End Confessional: Cody)
(Confessional: LeShawna)
LeShawna crossed her arms with a small smirk on her face.
"Glad that Turkey is finally getting his act proper! Now we can finally get Heather kicked outta here! It's a shame she's dying, but, hey, a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do."
(End Confessional: LeShawna)
(Confessional: Heather)
Heather laughed with glee as she kicked her legs happily.
"Today I'm finally gonna get rid of that trashy no-good pig girl! I wanted to get rid of LeShawna, but Noah insisted that she was a strong team player, and Beth would be the better choice! As if Noah's a strong team player! Whatever! We are still getting LeShawna's ass out of here next time as soon as we get that number's advantage!"
(End Confessional: Heather)
The camera cuts to the campfire ceremony. Unlike the previous ones, it was broad daylight outside, around 3:00.
The Gophers sat on stumps and looked at each other frantically, their nerves were slowly rising.
Chris walked on the screen with a tray of white puffy goodness in one hand and Chef to his side.
"Okay, campers! You all know the deal! One more of you is getting chopped today! I can see you guys are pretty tired from yesterday, so I'll just throw these guys to one of you! Got it?"
Few of the Gophers nodded.
Chris picked up a marshmallow off of the tray and held it high in the air.
"Alright! The first marshmallow goes too…
Justin!"
"Katie!"

"And LeShawna!" LeShawna caught the marshmallow Chris had flung with her mouth, before looking at Beth with concern.
Chris held up the final marshmallow high in the air.
"Campers! This is the final marshmallow this afternoon! The camper who does not get this tasty treat is destined to a shocking fate!"
Chef grabbed tarp off a mysterious object, which was unveiled to be an electric chair.
Heather and Beth both flinched in response to one of their supposed execution methods.
Beth was sweating nervously. Did everyone else blame her for Trent's death? Was that why she got so many votes?
Heather had a look of confidence, she knew that her alliance would crush Beth, and even in the rare event of a tiebreaker, she'd obliterate the wannabe.
"The final marshmallow of today goes to…

…it's a tie!" Chris announced as he placed the marshmallow back on the metallic tray. Beth and Heather gasped.
"So what happens now?" Beth lisped.
"I guess we just have to execute you both!" Chris chuckled before pulling out his handgun.
The two of them screamed as Chris laughed louder. "Haha! Just kidding! We have a tiebreaker!"
Chris turned over to Chef who was heaving over a large circular object.
"Chef! Bring in the dartboard!"
Chef nailed the dartboard to a tree before tossing two darts to Heather and Beth.
"Here's the deal! You two throw your dart at the board and whoever's is closer to the center wins!" Chris announced.
The Gophers who were not on the chopping block sweated nervously in anticipation.
"Beth goes up first!"
Beth stood up to a line that Chef had marked down with tape. She looked at the line before looking back up at the dartboard.
She pulled her arm back before throwing the dart directly at the target. It landed on the lower right side of the target, not too close to the center, but not too far either.
"Nice throwing, girl!" LeShawna complimented from the audience.
Heather scoffed and flicked her hair at the short brunette. Beth narrowed her eyes at Heather. The Queen Bee smirked in response.
"Heather! Your turn!" Chris said.
The mean girl lined up at the tape before aiming her dart at the tree.
The dart whistled through the air…
…before missing the target and landing on the grass.
The audience gasped as Beth pumped her fist in the air and Heather shrieked loudly.
"WHAT THE FUCK! HOW DID I LOSE TO A-"
Heather was cut off as Chef put a potato sack over her head. The Queen Bee was mumbling under the sack and tried shaking out of it to no avail.
"Sorry! This is a half-hour show! Gotta keep it quick!" Chris said as Chef dragged the mean girl to the electric chair.
Inside the sack, Heather was cursing furiously at the three Gopher Girls with tears sobbing out of her eyes.
Heather kicked and screamed to no avail as Chef locked the mean girl in the electric chair.
The Screaming Gophers looked away as Chef lowered a cover on Heather's head. Chef tossed a remote to Chris who barely caught it.
Crying noises could be heard coming from the mean girl as she stopped struggling out of the chair. The Gophers averted their eyes from the sobbing Heather.
"Prepare yourselves for a shocking display!" Chris punned as he pressed the shiny red button on the remote.
BUZZ
The chair began vibrating loudly. Sparks of light came from the chair as the Gophers averted their eyes from the bright light. Chris smiled sadistically at the view of another fellow child biting the dust.
As soon as it was over the campers returned their gaze to the now-dead Heather.
Chef unlocked the body as it fell to the ground before taking off the sack that covered her head.
The campers coiled in disgust, expecting to see a burnt head only to see Heather's eyes wide open, dazed in fear and confusion. Marks of tears could be seen falling from her eyes.
"I'm- I'm alive?" Heather asked before touching her cheeks.
"What the hell?" Gwen said.
"What's going on?" LeShawna said.
The Screaming Gophers looked at Heather with confusion before turning to Chris.
Chris groaned. "Yeah, yeah. We're pretty much scheduled for around one death per episode, so Trent is the only one who bites the dust today." Chris kicked the dirt around him in disappointment. "It's a bummer, I was really looking forward to watching someone become a lightbulb.
"Why the fuck did you do that then you jackass?" An enraged Heather popped up from the ground only to be restrained by Chef.
"Because it's funny! And everyone loves fake-outs on live TV!" Chris laughed.
"So Heather's not getting eliminated?" Justin asked.
"You son of a bitch…" Heather hissed with rage seething from her teeth.
"Hey! You should be thankful! You get to live another day!" Chris rolled his eyes at the mean girl.
(Confessional: Beth)
Beth scratched the back of her head with nervousness.
"I guess it's a good thing that Heather didn't die… Don't get me wrong, I don't think anybody here deserves to die… except Chris… but Heather's a big meanie! The only reason I'm happy she's still here is because we don't get to go down two team members in one challenge!"
(End Confessional: Beth)
The camera flashed to the campfire ceremony where Chris dismissed the Screaming Gophers.
"I guess that's all for today, then! We're down one Trent and we have nineteen campers left to go! What deadly challenge will our competitors face next time? Who will perish next? And Will I actually get the enjoyment of killing one of these teens? Find out next time on Total! Drama! Island!"
Voting Confessionals:
Heather: "I wanted to vote off that trashy fat no-good ghetto bitch, but Noah insists that we should vote out Beth because LeShawna's 'good at challenges.' Can Noah really go around saying that when he can't even carry a compass? Whatever! I vote for Beth. Stupid Miss Piggy has it coming."
Justin: "Heather said that if I try to betray our alliance, she'll make my head end up like Lindsay's! That's not good for modeling! Or living I think… Anywho! I vote for Beth!"
Gwen: "I vote for Heather. Not much to it. Dumbass…"
LeShawna: "That stanky rich ass lazy bitch has it coming to her! Heather's ass is gonna get outta here!"
Beth: "Sorry, Heather! But your time has come! Maybe you shouldn't be so mean all the time! I hope people don't blame me for what happened to Trent… that might make a few people vote for me…"
Noah: "Good thing I convinced Heather to vote for Beth instead of LeShawna. As much as Heather dislikes her, she's much more useful in challenges. It's pretty bullshit that we still have to vote off someone even though Trent died. I have a feeling nobody's gonna get killed by Chris today at the ceremony, but who knows? Chris is trigger-happy."
Katie: "I vote for Beth! I'm sorry! She seems nice, but I have to do what I can to live! This feels wrong but I have to keep pushing! Maybe allying with Heather was a mistake…"
Cody: "I can't believe Trent's gone… He'd know what to do… But at least I fulfilled his final wish for me! I'll live for him! I vote for Heather!"
