The half-bloods gathered around the tree that the nameless old man sacrificed himself at to save them all. And in result they hung ribbons around the tree. Red for love from Demeter from her love of her son. Orange for happiness and all the lives saved. Yellow for hope of the future. Green for New beginnings and Nature. Then finally blue for sadness.
Half-bloods were singing in joy of survival from the attack. They laughed around the tree with drinks. As none of them were of age, it was only non-alcoholic drinks. Some danced as the Apollo kids sang, causing others to join in with the singing or dancing.
The kid that the Old Man talked to walked up to the front of the crowd of half-bloods to talk about it so people could talk about the old man and the other lost in the tragedy. He spoke with tears running down his face, "I didn't know him for long, all I know is he was a good man. He told me about his past and it helped me personally. And all the others that died was a massive tragedy. One that hasn't been seen in many years. And for those that have lost loved ones and friends just know that they are all going to elysium as they are all true heroes."
He left the stage with a single tear running down his face. Then someone else came to the front to talk about who they lost, then left. Again, and again until all that wished to speak had poured out their heart and soul. When the half-bloods were finished the leaves started to tornado and a beautiful woman with red highland lilies which were a beautiful red in a crown intertwined with her golden hair with a wonderful green.
She began to speak as everyone kneeled to her. "My son was a wonderful child. He wasn't hard. He was kind, the perfect man. But he chose to go out in a blaze of glory saving much younger demi-gods that he hoped would live much longer with hope and live to adulthood." All the demi-gods listened intently to what Demeter was saying to them. Seering her words into their heads.
Then a woman with deep black hair with olive skin showed up with a group of other young girls. "Artemis what are you doing here," asked Demeter with a smirk. "To show my respects to the one that showed me that not all men are pigs, and some are worthy of my respect." "Are you going to start to give men a chance, Niece?" "Maybe Aunt Demeter."
"Oh, and what did my son do to restore some faith in men?" "As I said earlier, he showed me that not all men are horrible. Some and only some are worth a chance." Demeter nodded with a smile as her body started to turn into sycamore seeds that spun with a gust of wind. And magically none fell to the floor they all flew in different directions at once due to some wind.
Artemis rolled her eyes and shouted, "Hunters time to go." And all the girls that waited around and threatened a few people, mostly boys, left. Chiron clopped up to the front. "I know that all of this is extremely emotional for everyone involved as we have all lost lots of loved ones. So, I think it's best that we all find a way to grieve in our own way that isn't self-harming. And I also suggest everyone going back and finding a place to chat with someone about who we lost and get all the baggage off our chests before anything else is done."
Down in the underworld the old blind man could be seen in a chair being judged by 3 different judges. All three of them looked up from their paper and sighed while tapping their ebony desks. The middle judge said with a frown on his face, "I truly apologize, but we must do this to you, but it's been decided, and we aren't able or going to give you a fare trial. We must by the orders of Lord Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades to make sure that you go to Tartarus for all their children that you've killed."
The old man nodded with a straight face taking his punishment for his duty without any refusal or resistance. A few guards came dressed in all black. They came over and grabbed the old man from under the arm each. They took him to the extremely deep hole where they dropped him, and he began to fall.
As he fell, he lightly touched the wall causing some moss to grow where his fingers were, but as soon as it was placed it started to die and change from a fluorescent green to a dank dying green. Then a beautiful blue flower with a white inside where the seeds were growing bloomed then as if in time-lapse the flows wilted into dust that started to slowly yet gently fall.
Surprisingly, a few feet before he touched the ground, bushes that immediately started to die were born. And the old man smashed into the thick bushes. He started to fly through the twigs and branches of the bushes at maximum velocity which started to cut up his face and the rest of his body, but at least he could stand after the giant fall.
The old man picked him up from the ground with all of his wounds regenerating rather fast. The first thing he did when he got up was to take a deep breath. The deep breath felt as if he put his mouth on the exhaust of a vehicle that doesn't have a filter for the environment. All of the bad things that the filters prevent all enter his mouth and lungs with the single breath he took, so he started to cough his lungs out.
The wind blew aggressively causing dust to enter the air making it even harder to breathe. He looked left and right trying to find anything that could keep him safe from the horrible winds. But the wind was so aggressive that he couldn't see anything, and more and more tiny rocks and dust continued to enter his eyes.
Leaves started to sprout from his arms and lay flat against his body. Elephant and other large leave covered his vital areas as to protect them from any harm from passing rocks and maybe a single attack from an enemy. Somehow his brain started to sense light he wouldn't normally be able to see with his normal eyes.
He started to walk in the direction with the most radiation. And photoreceptors from the plants growing out of him allow him to see radiation. Horrifyingly the entire ground was covered in ground up uranium pellets or some other material that can cause controlled nuclear fusion.
The old man's face became mad that someone could do such a thing, then realized that he's been breathing in the radioactive dust this entire time. Someone ground up whatever was used for controlled nuclear fusion into dust and let it blow into the wind making it extremely hard to locate where it started from.
But The Old man decided on a direction that he thought the wind was the worst quality. Then started to walk in that direction while humming a happy tune to try and get the thought of what he's breathing out of his head.
After a little walk of a few hundred miles the radiation started to get way stronger, as a defense response cactuses grew around his body and started to absorb the radiation and when to the point where they aren't absorbing the radiation efficiently it would fall to the ground and turn to dust. Then another cactus would grow in place of the last one.
Further on the old man walked until he found a nuclear power plant producing lots of smog and other gross things that came out of the upside-down funnel like buildings.
He hiked to where and entrance to the building and pulled on the handle, once, twice. Locked. But branches grew from his feet and started to pry open the door to the point where the door looked as if the hulk crumbled it into a ball, then tried to undo the crumble and then left it back where he found it.
The old man smirked at what he sensed was his work with the door, then frowned as he sensed multiple monsters after the door. Their skin was glowing an eerie red, steam blowing off their bodies, with all of them with at least 1 deformity. From an extra arm to flaky skin all over their bodies.
All of them started to moan and groan as they started to move after a whistle echoed throughout the entire plant. The monsters started to move back to their stations in a methodical way. When they started to work, they stood in the same places with the most radiation. They started to watch the nuclear reactors.
The monsters would shove golden things into a pipe that glowed with radiant energy, then threw a cap onto it. After that they tossed the unstable thing inside of the pipe to another monster and they would toss it into a barrel. After about 250 of them were in the barrel it was full and tossed lazily into water. Where it would create steam and push a wheel creating energy for the giant generator. And this was happening hundreds of times at the same time!
He walked up to them for some nice conversation. "How's work?" The cyclops looked at him with an extremely slow reaction like he just had a few joints and now can't think straight. "Uuuh, it's goin' good."
The old man sighed and started to walk around after the cyclops had no reaction, he moved on to the next one. This time it's an empousa. "Hello and how are you sir?" She gave the most offended look for about 2 seconds till she realized that it was a blind man that she was talking to. Since she's lost her smell and taste due to the radiation, she couldn't give a rat's ass about him being a half-blood or anything else.
"Do you know what the golden things that other monsters are shoving into the tubes?"
She thought about it and even put her fingers on her temple if trying to remember something. "Quite a while ago some guy came in when this place started up and told us that it would be powered by the pieces of the great Lord Chronos. Or something like that. He was one hell of a fanatic, in the literally weirdest way possible. Cough* sexual. The fucker would be all about inuendo about how Lord Chronos pieces were filling up his plant. (¬‿¬)"
"Oh, okay (-_-)" And after the old man finished speaking. Ffshshshs, the sound of something breaking and the old man glanced over. "We have to leave." "I'm not leaving I still have work to do."
"You will die if you don't leave." "Meh, this thing blows around once a month, maybe year, then we get a vacation till we reform plus the time it takes to catch us. Oh, right you're human, yeah you should go. You have like maybe half a minute to leave before the controlled fission becomes uncontrolled. Good luck." ^̮^
This creates mass amounts of energy considering that this was happening all around the plant, which he felt with all the plants that he's already spread around the plant. So, he started to go as fast as he can to exit the plant.
His cane tapped faster and faster as he tried to exit the building as fast as possible. His face became more and more fearful as each second passed just waiting for the plant to go up and trying to get as far away from it as possible. In defense to the radiation and the flames his body grew oak bark, monkey flower and more cacti all over his body to resist the explosion.
Then dove into the ground to make the bomb have less of an impact. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. Flames spread everywhere in a 10-mile radius!
