No one knows how it happened, or why it started, 200 years ago a newborn child born in China, irradiated light from it's body, this was the first documented case, but before long instances like this began cropping up all over the world, the streets look like the pages of comic books, and a new profession was born from the chaos, "Professional Superheroes".

Yet in the last 200 years technology, architecture, and traditional medical advances have remained almost stagnant, in fact from a surface level society doesn't look any different than it did 200 years ago. That's because Quirks are all the rage now.

"Quirks" The term society uses for superpowers, 80% of the World population has some sort of ability which is referred to as a Quirk, some basically useless abilities, some extraordinary abilities that make ideal Quirks to be flashy Superheroes.

Still many considered a useless quirk better than not having one at all, The last 20% of the world were born without any special abilities they are called "Quirkless" these people are often treated with indifference as a reminder of a bygone era, but sometimes they are treated as scum, just for existing, despite there being laws to protect the dwindling Quirkless Population they are very rarely enforced.

Among these lost souls is Izuku Midoriya current age 14, hair color Green, Eye color Green, noticeable features diamond pattern freckles on each cheek. Izuku Midoriya had always wanted to be a hero more than anything, but at age 4 he was diagnosed as Quirkless, despite everyone telling him to quit, despite his once childhood best friend becoming his worst bully, and despite his mother not verbally supporting his dream, he still persevered.

He never felt like giving up……

Until today, it started as any other, he took notes on new heroes during a villain attack, he got to school only to be mocked by his peers, then his teacher outted his plans to apply for UA which was supposed to be held confidential as he only told the school councilor, which resulted in Katsuki Bakugou, using his explosion quirk to blow up Izuku's desk and threatened him, all while calling him "Deku" that name had haunted him for years, Deku stood for DE fensless Izu KU

Or just it's usual translation Useless. Izuku was then suicide baited by Bakugou who laughed at his own actions, it was hard to imagine these two were once best friends. Izuku on his walk home was attacked by a slime villain, before being rescued by his favorite hero and idol, No.1 Hero and Symbol of Peace "All Might" Izuku didn't think when he grabbed ahold of his idol as he jumped into the sky leaving the scene, but once they landed on a nearby rooftop he would come to question many things in his life.

He had asked the seasoned hero if a quirkless person could become a hero, All Might feeling the need to hurry up things gave the boy a questioning look. Izuku did not know why he did what he did next but it would protect him in the future for quite some time.

He lied telling All Might he was asking because he had a quirkless friend who dreams of nothing more than to be a hero, maybe not no.1 but someone who could save someone else.

All Might took a deep breath before speaking to Izuku.

"Being a hero is a dangerous profession, and that danger increases everyday, and there are just some foes you can't hope to beat without a quirk, to answer your question young man, no I don't believe you're friend can be a hero."

Izuku was stunned still, at All Might's words, but continued to listen to him as he continued to talk.

"It's ok to dream kid, but I think you're friend should look into something more realistic and reachable for his future. Now I must get this villain to the authorities.

All Might looked for the bottle he stuffed the slime villain into but saw it was gone, Izuku held up his hand holding the bottle, he caught it while hanging onto All Might's leg while in the air, he's always had quick and nimble hands. All Might took the bottle and jumped off into the sky again.

Izuku had no idea how long he waited on that rooftop, his mind plagued with questions and not good ones, questions like, what the point was, or that maybe he should quit and the darker part of his mind briefly considered Bakugou's advice about taking a swan dive off the roof, but quickly pushed that thought from his mind.

It wasn't until he was snapped back into his senses when he saw out the corner of his eyes a flash of light, he walked towards it and the light expanded looking like a portal but one he couldn't walk through but it was showing events, it was show events regarding a group of heroes he's never heard of before, "The X-Men" he felt drawn to it his hand touched it and suddenly his body seized up, as he heard many voices whispering to him asking who he was, during this whole time the Images he was seeing began to focus on one particular X-Man Remy LeBeau, all while his own body was reacting and changing itself, everything he saw Remy do or feel he felt it too.

The voices where getting louder, repeating the question over and over, Izuku kneeled over as his body began to rapidly change, The Sclera of his eyes went from white to black, making he green irises stand out more, his muscles became more dense, as he grew taller his face lost any baby fat that remained from childhood, he became more handsome as result he would not be considered plain anymore, as the pain increased so did the volume of the voices, but so did his resolve to overcome this challenge, and As the pain finally stopped he was on his knees panting heavily, but heard the voice one last time, asking "Who Are You?". But this time he answered, he slowly stood up, his head still bowing down before shooting upward revealing a far more confident Izuku Midoriya, he spoke in an a Accent and voice thicker than any who Spoke Japanese English dialect, it was the same accent as Remy LeBeau "Cajun"

Izuku said loud and clear to the phantom voice and for the universe itself to know who he is.

"Name's Gambit, Mon Ami, Remember it!"

This isn't just the story of the greatest hero of all time, this is the story of how a new kind of Superhero was born, this is the Rise of The Mutants, and the greatest hero of all time Izuku Midoriya aka The Kinetic-Boom Hero "Gambit".
