- Natasha POV -

Sometime earlier as Natasha was trying very hard to find out more about the mysterious young man whom she just gave a ride, it is strange for some reason she can't take her mind off Naruto, and the idea of him being a freelance contractor made her remember things that happened in her past and thus cause her to be concerned.

The thing is that after she began to think about it, she wondered if there were any underworld contacts that she could talk to about information about Naruto, or to have an idea where he could be, the last thing that she remembers is that he planned to try his luck with a bit of gambling, but there were so many casinos it would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

She finished her breakfast and tried to dress as casually as possible not to draw too much attention, she got dressed in some blue jeans, a nice shirt, and some rather comfortable sneakers, all in all, she tried to look like your typical tourist, even though her appearance if she had been more aware made her look more like a model in the city on vacation.

As she went to the front desk she immediately asked the front desk if any casinos seemed to be favorites places where tourists should or would go, the desk manager began to think about it rather hard, and of course the obvious places like the Bellagio or the MGM Casino came to mind, so he told her it all depends on how much money a person was willing or able to risk, there were a few dozen casinos that offer various forms of games, and even some that hold fighting tournaments, in fact, one of the local families held an underground tournament that is rather popular among wealthy tourists.

She immediately thought of the arenas since Naruto did tell her he was a freelance contractor, and maybe he was more than able to win some money if he was as good as she suspects. She immediately asked who was the family that operates and owns that underground arena, this made the desk manager a little afraid but seeing her smile somehow made him dare to say the name of the crime family.

"Well this went from bad to worse in a hurry, thank you very much for telling me, don't worry, I happen to know about that family and I guess they still work out of that restaurant they used as a front, don't worry, if I meet with them, I will not tell them you told me of them or the underground arena, so relax."

This made the desk manager relax, saying that this family was quite terrifying if they were angry with people, they had become even worse after the godfather of that family had suffered the tragedy of an assassin killing off his only son. Before he was a kind and gentle person, but after the death of his only son, he became cold and rather ruthless when it comes to getting revenge on those that cross him.

As she walked out of the hotel she came to realize that this family is one of the big crime families that control gambling within the state of Nevada, so if anyone knows anything about Naruto or where to find him they would probably be the ones that she needed to meet, but unlucky this was the one family she would otherwise try to avoid, before joining SHIELD, she had been the assassin that killed that godfather's son under contract if she knew anything about this particular man, he was probably still hunting for her to get revenge for the killing of someone so precious to him.

Desperate about trying to find out the most she could about Naruto or where he was, she had no alternative but to literally walk into the tiger's den. As she walked in and saw that the restaurant was a high-class establishment, with many well-dressed and very distinguished customers, she knew exactly what keywords she needed to say to arrange a meeting with the leader of this particular family.

The man who was at the entrance of the place immediately asked her if this was a table for one or for a family? "I need a table for one, but if you can I rather have it somewhere with some privacy, a little hole in the wall away from the eyes of others, if you could also ensure that I get some of the house's special menu that would be great. A glass of house wine and a chance to speak with the chef about the menu."

The man nodded his head and immediately she was guided through the lobby down a hall until she was guided towards the back where the man pushed and a wall opened up revealing a hidden room. She was told to wait inside and she would get what she so richly deserves. Other people would think that the room was laced with traps that would spew poison or that hitmen would come in pretending to be waitresses and do her in.

Instead, she was met by a gentleman who was flanked by two bodyguards who were dressed as waiters, "Natasha Romanoff, as I understand it when you got recruited by SHIELD, I spoke to that one-eyed bastard, and the deal was that we would not harm you and we would not hunt for you as long as you work for them, but color me surprised you actually came here, so tell me tovarish why are you here? Do you think we will spare you after you came through our front door?"

She looked at the man who had just finished pouring a glass of wine for her, as she took a sip and smiled, "First I have to say this is some great wine, secondly I didn't come here without reason, I came here because if anyone has the vastest information network of all the families it is you, I need information about a freelance contractor I met, and to know where I can find him. Don't worry Dimitri, I don't expect you to do this for free, you may hate me for what I did, but you should know I only did that because I was under contract to do that, I wouldn't have done this unless I had no other choice in the matter."

The gentleman sat down as he took began to drink a glass of the same wine, "So you were hired, well that makes sense, you expect me to simply consider it professional courtesy and let it go, simply because as cliche as it sounds it was nothing personal but only business, but to me, that was my only son, and that makes personal to me. So what can you possibly offer me for this rather tall order you are clearly going to be asking?" Natasha told him again she was contracted, but wouldn't he want to know who it was that put the contract on his son and did so in a manner even she couldn't refuse to make good on that contract?

Dimitri first asked her how in the world could this person force her to carry out the contract, to which she merely took out an old gold coin and showed it to Dimitri, and told him he called in a marker, there is nothing she could do to deny or refuse a contract under that condition, the rules of the continental were absolute. Dimitri began to nod his head understanding if she had refused to fulfill that contract it would be almost like insulting every member of the high table, and nobody survives that.

"OK, you got yourself a deal Black Widow, I will use our information network to find everything we can about this person you want to find, and even try to find him, but upon getting your order fulfilled I expect you to tell me who was the son of a bitch that forced you to kill my boy, and if you tell me a lie, I don't care what that fucker says, you ain't walking out here alive!"

Natasha took out a picture from her wallet and placed it on the table, "The name is supposed to be Naruto, and he introduced himself as a freelance contractor, I need everything you can get me on him and where do I need to go to find him, if anyone can get me that information it is you, and you can relax, I ain't going to cause problems within your own place, I will make good on the price for this favor, can I ask for another glass of this rather delicious wine while I wait?"

The bodyguard placed a bottle of wine opened in an ice bucket right next to her. She smiled a rather sultry smile and thanked him, as she served herself another glass. "This shouldn't take us long, we are also going to get you some rather nice tasty pasty, to go along with your wine, and don't worry it is not poisoned, I don't need to do that." As Natasha was enjoying her Fettuccine Alfredo, with what seemed to be turkey meatballs and freshly cut vegetables. She waited for the don to get her that information.

After thirty minutes and two servings of that dish, Dimitri looked at her with a rather concerned look on his face, "We looked everywhere, even to records from the continental, to info from sources from every crime family, syndicate, and secret cabal there is, there is absolutely nothing about this guy except for one thing, apparently a man that looked like him was once a member of that allied special forces group that fought the last world war, I guess this guy is the son or grandson of a person who used to be one of the hollowing commandos."

"As to where to find him, he apparently changed his appearance by dying his hair red and did something to hide the whiskers that appear on that photo, but he went under the name of Menma, the only reason we picked up on it was that you wrote that his name was Naruto Uzumaki on that picture, but the guy who appeared to have fought in one of our underground arenas is a man by the name like I said Menma Namikaze, that is the best, he mentioned that he was going to take his winnings he got for betting on himself in that tournament and planned to go an enter the high stakes poker tables, the best bet would the MGM Casino, So there you have your info, now spill it widow, who put the contract on my son!"

Natasha finished her glass of wine and looked at Dimitri clearly still furious at what she had done to him, "So tell me where is that guy who was the godfather of that son of yours? Cause it was him that put the contract on your son, for what I remember he told me he wanted to cause you to be so depressed that you would make an easy target to replace you as the leader of the family. He used a mark to force me to fulfill that contract, otherwise, I would have told him to jump off a cliff, you know that I wouldn't do that to you unless I had no other choice."

Dimitri was furious at what he heard, "That is impossible, the man you are talking about is practically my most trusted man, he is my surrogate little brother, and my son used to love that man as an uncle, what proof do you have that he was the one that forced you of all people to do that hit!" Natasha took out a USB Drive from her coat and slid it to him, "This holds a copy of that contract, a video of him telling me to do that, where your son would be the most vulnerable, and as an added tip, it also has proof that he is secretly trading weapons and drugs with other families trying to gather money to clearly try and take you out, so he can take over. You can check it, but this stuff is hacker-proof, and one hundred percent proven to be accurate by SHIELD Information Department, so you know I am on the up and up."

Before Natasha went Dimitri said that he have a theory that Naruto's full name is either Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze or Menma Uzumaki Namikaze you might get a hit in the database if you try to use either of those names.

As Natasha walked out of the restaurant she was amazed at what she heard and thanks to the information she obtained she actually had two pictures of the same person, they sort of looked similar except for some minor differences, with these pictures she could go to each casino and asked if they saw either of the guys on the pictures, but thanks to Dimitri it was clear that he would hit the high stakes poker tables at the MGM Casino.

She however felt the need to update Fury on what she found out so far, so she immediately opened a communication channel by plugging in her phone into a nearby television and using the camera on the phone as a way to do video conferencing. Fury looked like he was actually stressed out, it seems that what happened in Central Park had upset or worried POTUS so much that he was really putting pressure on him to find out what the hell is going on.

"Well boss, since you told me Naruto is not anywhere within the SHIELD database or any government database, I had no other alternative but to look for information in other sources, I contacted the family lead by Dimitri and he told me some information, it seems that Naruto actually participated in one of his underground tournaments and won, I have video of every single one of his fights, this should give our analyst something to try and see how powerful he really is, and also I got two pictures apparently he changed his appearance when he fought in the tournament."

Nick upon hearing this was happy to receive the videos and the two photos it would make it easier to track down or find out who the hell this person is, she did mention that he went under different names in one he was Naruto and in the tournament, he changed his appearance and went under the name Menma, everything was oddly quiet when Fury finally got to see the two pictures of supposedly the same guy until he was so furious that he slammed his fist on his desk while screaming, "THAT SON OF A BITCH!"

Nick knew very well who the hell Naruto and his friend Sasuke were, they had met him once during the entire incident that happened with the aliens and that plane test pilot that gained essentially super powers, a woman by the name of Carol Danvers, which he helped pick her hero name to be Captain Marvel. "That is who Naruto is, that fucking bastard was the supposed future husband of Carol Danvers, no wonder he liked to mess with me, that fucker erased my memories but only after I heard both names did I remember him. To make matters worse my fucking eye is fucking killing me, I don't know why I am in such pain."

That is when he decided to take off his eye patch and see what the hell was happening to his eye, and much to his shock his face still had the scratch marks of where Goose had scratched him but other than that his eyes were perfectly fine, he could see out of both eyes, which made him glad that he got his eyesight back, but angry realizing that Naruto did this to screw with him. "Romanoff I was going to tell you to put that aside and go to New York to help Bartin and Coulson with a situation that is happening in Central Park, but after all this fuck it, I don't care what you need to do, stay there and find out as much as you can about Naruto and if possible get him to come back to SHIELD headquarters with you. I highly suggest using pity or sympathy, since it is quite obvious you will get past his defenses rather easily."

"So from now on find Naruto and keep an eye on him, don't let that bastard do anything without you not knowing what the hell he is doing and more importantly why, and be aware that he has a friend that apparently is not with him right now in Vegas, the only thing that you need to worry is to find him, learn everything about him and get him to return with you back to headquarters."

Natalia simply had one question what would happen if Naruto got close to a person who is a protection target such as the Stark Family, that is when Fury told her that this would be one of the only ways that she would have to avoid getting near Naruto since the foundation of SHIELD by Howard Stark and Peggy Carter, one of the things that they must keep secret is the involvement of the Stark Family from any of the family members, in order to make sure the descendants of Howard Stark to keep them from harm.

Howard didn't want his children or his descendants to be placed in unnecessary harm, it was easy to see why after he saw what happened to Steve Rogers and everything he and Peggy went through all throughout the war. The other thing is that the parent of Naruto had been a very good friend to both of them and thus it is more than likely this guy would be able to influence Tony or his sister into helping him do whatever the hell he is planning.

The thing is that for some odd reason, this excited Natasha like few things have ever done so in her life, it was strange that she could go from concern to fear, to this level of excitement in such a short amount of time. "Don't worry boss, I think I know where he is headed, and chances are that he will be going to a casino owned by Stark, so wish me luck in meeting him before he gets to meet with Tony."

As the call ended she quickly decided to dress in a much more appropriate set of clothes for such a venue, and as she walked into the casino she quickly asked where the high stake tables were, she was immediately asked if she planned to participate or just watch learning that the buy-in was immense. Natasha laughed and told the young man that she was merely looking for someone who no doubt was playing poker on that side of the casino.

As she walked through the casino till she finally reached the high stakes poker tables, she found herself a nice seat where she could keep an eye out to find Naruto, which she did quickly as she heard people mock him for being fresh meat and that he would soon be cleaned out thinking that he would be easy prey.

Natasha saw the predatory look in Naruto's eye, something others didn't even pay attention to, making her smile as the other people on the table thought he was the prey when the reality of the situation was reversed. She saw Naruto go through one hand after another, and against all odds, he didn't lose once, she could only think that his luck must be insane to be able to win so many times in a row.

The dealer even tried switching to a new deck and used all kinds of ways to try and make Naruto lose such as trying to give him intentionally all the crappy cards and stacking the deck against him, but nothing seems to work. The man who had paid the dealer off was glaring at the dealer as Naruto kept on winning almost like he was a world-class professional poker player.

That is when Natasha saw the busty woman who was pretending to be the arm candy of a guy, but in reality, was playing using the guy as a puppet. She felt an unnatural hatred of the woman as she tried to seduce Naruto and much to her amusement it didn't work, and was quickly and mercilessly defeated. She was sitting a few feet away from Naruto, the only reason Naruto could not notice is that she was seated and looking at his back.

It was funny to see Naruto who appears to be this young, utterly defeat and destroy his opponents, even as they called him everything from a card counter to a cheater, trying to get him kicked out of the casino since they couldn't defeat him. "Call me whatever the hell you like, but there is one thing I never do, and that is a cheat, if I defeat you it will be all due to my personal skills and I will accept no less. As for me being a brat, sorry to break it to you but I am not nearly as young as I appear. So how about you kids stop your whining and let's get serious about playing some bloody poker."

Natasha was loving the way he basically dressed down the other players who were using those comments to try and get rid of him, she was impressed that Naruto was so calm and collected that most men his age would have gone into a rage and caused such a commotion that it would guarantee that the entire situation ended up as a brawl that would have gotten half a dozen people kicked out of the casino by security."

After seeing the video of the tournament however there was something that concerned her, she noticed that one of the men who had gone to congratulate him on his victory was none other than a highly ranked leader of HYDRA, Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker, it was easy to see that the man had tried to recruit Naruto to either join HYDRA or to gain him as a potential test subject for their super soldier modification experiments. Naruto for the most part looked to treat the man with a civil and calm demeanor almost talking to him in a friendly manner, she had to boost the sound to hear what the hell they were saying to each other, she was laughing when she heard Naruto reject his offer after telling the Baron that he was technically still in his vacation.

The video sort of glitched a little and she asked the techs what had caused that, to which the only explanation was a local release of highly concentrated electrical discharge. She joked that maybe Naruto was related to Zeus and he simply was upset about something that caused lightning to cover his hand.

As she focused back on the people playing poker, she almost wanted to cuss her bad luck, she saw one of the people that Tony Stark trusted, his chief of security, Happy Hogan walk up to where Naruto was waiting for his next opponent to come and play against him. That is when she got closer to hearing what Happy was going to say and wanted to know how Naruto would respond.

"Excuse me but my boss would like to invite you to come to play at a private game, the buy-in is over a billion dollars, but don't worry my boss will pay it for you, he just really wants to see how good you really are." Naruto of course didn't move and asked the man who his boss is, to which much to the shock of others around them Happy simply asked if he knows about Tony Stark, much to Natasha's astonishment Naruto told Happy he doesn't know anyone named Tony Stark, but he was good friends with a man named Howard Stark.

That is when Natasha's communicator earpiece turned on and she immediately heard Nick practically scream abort, and for her to get the hell out of there. When this happened she realized two things, Fury had been listening to everything she heard, and for some reason, the mere mention of Howard Stark had spooked Fury so badly that he practically ordered her to put some distance between her and Naruto.
