The lights.
"Amazing... they aren't using nuclear, wind, solar, gas, coal, or any natural means of gaining electrical power... how did they do this?" Azazel was meeting up with Michael, Sirzechs, and Serafall in his Inn room. He watched out the window as lights started to turn on in different buildings all across the village.
They village had been built less than a month ago, but now it had a complete and functioning system to provide electricity and water to all the homes and buildings in the village. Azazel walked over to the opposite side of the room, and he flipped a switch... and the lights in the room turned on.
"How do you know they don't use a form of power we already have?" Michael smiled at Azazel patiently.
Azazel scoffed.
"I've spent the passed 5 days walking all around this village, talking to the people, and trying to understand how their culture is impacting their technology... the know what guns are, but they don't use them... they know what trucks and trains are, but they don't use them either... they understand TVs, Radios, and many electronics, but they user messenger birds..." Azazel went through the list of things that he found were weird.
"So?" Sirzechs leaned forward in boredom.
"So... nevermind... culturally, these people are like a mix between Japan 30 years ago, and Japan 300 years ago... they understand technology and only use certain aspects of it... they adapt to using their natural abilities and technology in tandem..." Azazel explained.
"So?"
"So, give them 50 years, and they will be ahead of the rest of the world in technology... maybe even a mere 20 years. I met this brilliant young scientist ninja who saw me, and realized I was a scientist." Azazel had met a young Chunin who was currently working on some amazing projects. Azazel reached into his sleeve and pulled out a small spray bottle. "... like this... Serafall, do you have a knife or something to cut me with?" Azazel asked with a smile.
Serafall made a dagger of ice, and she threw it at him.
Her aim was not that great, and the handle of the knife bounced off his arm. He caught it, and cut his forearm deep enough that he started to bleed freely on the floor. He took the spray bottle and sprayed his cut.
"So you... oh wow." Serafall was amazing.
A green water was sprayed on the wound, and the wound began to close at a slow rate. It took about 3 minutes, but the wound was healed over on it's own, not leaving a scar in the slightest. Azazel showed the spray bottle off.
"They just gave you that?" Michael coudn't imagine that being the case.
"It's a failed prototype. It takes too long the heal a wound, according to that young man, and it takes too much effort to produce a bottle. He's working on a version that can be mass produced. I offered some advice, so he gave me a bottle." Azazel tossed the now empty bottle up and down with a smile. The medical tool was rather amazing, in that it could be used to accelerate the bodies own recovery process. It gave a person the ability to regenerate deep wounds, though not missing limbs, in a matter of minutes. "... the young man is currently researching medical tools and a way to make false limbs that act like real ones... there are a lot of ninja in the village who lost arms and legs during some big battle." Azazel had seen many of those people.
Missing eyes, arms, legs, and chunks of their bodies.
"So you're helping them to form an alliance." Michael could see what Azazel was doing.
Azazel waved his hand.
"No, I just want to see what they are capable of in the field of science. I saw a pink haired girl-" Azazel glanced over at Sirzechs, showing they both knew who he was talking about. "-was working on making some very advanced arm... I wonder who it could be for... I wonder if a very powerful man is about to get more powerful." Azazel pointed out.
Sirzechs blinked.
"Oh! Right, his arm is made of wood! He was manipulating it like a puppet, but it wasn't a real one!" Sirzechs realized that Naruto had a fake right arm. If Sakura had been working on making a replacement for awhile now, then with more ninja helping her then it would be a matter of time before Naruto got a genuine replacement for his lost arm. If they gave it abilities, depending on how it was made, then who knew how strong the man would become.
That man could get even stronger than he already was.
"... I'm lost." Michael admitted.
"The strongest man in this village has a fake right arm. So, has anyone else managed to get in touch with the leaders?" Serafall had been in the village for 5 days now, and she hadn't gotten to meet with even one of the leaders a single time.
It was extremely frustrating.
Michael smiled.
"... because to them, we are not enemies. They don't see us as worth their immediate attention, so they plan to get to us when they have the time." Michael was an angel. If Sirzechs appeared at the gates of Heaven to speak with him, then he would make it his immediate priority to see what was happening. They were natural enemies after all. They were long time foes with an extremely long history of violence against each other's species.
Yet, this ninja didn't care about them.
He, Michael, was just a man with gold feathers who wanted to meet with the leaders, who showed up out of nowhere and made a request. The leaders of this village weren't going to make him a priority when their people needed them to be active and work.
"I saw the Mizukage and Tsuchikage, but they didn't speak with me. I also did actually meet with the Raikage, but he brushed me off and told me he would send somebody to collect me when they were ready for us." Azazel laughed off the entire situation. They were being treated like a non-threat, and as if their very presence in the village was of little to no importance. It was refreshing to say the least, but very annoying in that he couldn't really do anything.
Michael nodded his head.
"I didn't meet the Hokage in person, but apparently she is being replaced very soon. The new Hokage is out of the village at the moment... so..." Michael stopped and looked right at Serafall and Sirzechs. "... I was thinking of asking these Shinobi to be a neutral 4th party." Michael stated.
Serafall thought about it.
"... So... you're saying that these people should be the Peacekeepers between our factions... if there is a Stray Devil, the Ninja should kill it... and if there is a Rogue Exorcist then we hire them to kill them..." Serafall could see benefit to that. They could limit the amount of fights their species had with each other. It would certainly go a long way in helping them form an alliance with the shinobi, put them to good use... and help keep the treaty between them and prevent another war from sparking.
If the Shinobi took care of their rogues for them, then there would be no need to worry about a fight between devils, angels, and fallen angels that could lead to another great war. There were a lot of issues with the idea as a whole, but it was a small step in the right direction.
"Pay them enough, and they will do it." Azazel confirmed.
These people were very money driven, so if you offered them money to kill somebody, they were going to take the money, and somebody was going to wind up dead.
There were the sounds of excitement outside.
"The Intruders have been captured and will be put to death soon."
"Oh shit! Serafall, we need to go and make sure none of our wards are the intruders." Sirzechs called out to Serafall.
Azazel jumped out of the window, with Michael following after him.
-In the Center of the Village (5 Minutes Later)-
"What the hell... Kokabiel?" Azazel saw a very familiar face.
It was one of his strongest Fallen Angels, who was tied up and on his knees. He wasn't alone though, as there were 2 men at his side.
"That's Valper..." Michael recognized one of the men. He arrived shortly after Azazel did, and he saw two rogue priests were with one of the fallen angels, who he himself recognized easily enough. He was flying above the crowd of shinobi.
The 5 Kage had assembled.
Sirzechs and Serafall were standing at ground level, mixed in with the crowd, but seemed very relieved that none of the captured people were from their group. They saw Kokabiel was bound with special wire, gagged, and there was a piece of paper on his forehead that seemed to be preventing him from using his magic to empower himself and escape from his confines.
"That war idiot." Azazel clicked his teeth in annoyance.
The Raikage stepped forth and ungagged Kokabiel.
"You have been captured, and will be put to death. You had invaded our village, and insitgated a fight that resulted in the death of one of our shinobi... do you have anything to say for yourself?" A asked the man as he looked down at the fallen angel.
Kokabiel grinned.
"My death will spark a great war. I can only lament the fact that I couldn't kill the leader of the Angels, and the Devil leaders who you guys have here before I was captured... but kill me, it will spark-" Kokabiel stopped talking when one of the shinobi came forward.
Ohnoki clapped his hands together.
He created a white box with a glowing sphere inside of it, and he pointed it at Kokabiel. The box expanded and covered Kokabiel's entire body.
Gone.
Kokabiel was gone the next second as his body went from existing, to being turned into dust within a second of the box being around him. The second the box vanished, Kokabiel vanished with it.
"That... that was not banishment, or being sealed away..." Azazel covered his hand with his mouth and observed what had just happened. "... that was sub-atomic dismantling of matter... that white sphere in that box exploded... and everything inside of the box was... turned to dust." Azazel had never seen such an amazing technique as that.
The next person was ungagged.
"I am innocent, I was dragged here against my will! Kokabiel forced me to help him steal the Excalibur fragments... and he forced me to come here to start a war! I'm an innocent man!" Valper pleaded for his life. He begged the Raikage next to him, and he looked at the other Kage with tears in his eyes.
The man next to him looked at what happened to Kokabiel, with all the color drained out of his face.
"You're lying. We don't care about whatever these Excalibur fragments are. Those swords we took from you will be sealed away."
Michael's eyes widened.
"... The Excalibur fragments were stolen... how many did Kokabiel steal while I've been away... it's only been 5 days." Michael had not recieved any message that any of the Excalibur swords had been stolen. He looked at another face he recognized. It was Freed, a rogue exorcist who took too much pleasure in killing.
"The Angel, Devils, and Fallen Angel who are in this village are our guests right now, so any crimes you intended to do against them, are crimes you attempted against us as well. You expect to walk into this village, and commit an act of war... your life will not be spared." Tsunade stated as she looked at Valper with disgust, abject disgust in her eyes. "... and you killed a good Chunin, right in front of his child, a recently promoted Genin. Don't think we aren't aware you planned to steal his corpse and study it." Tsunade looked at Valper with eyes filled with a deep hatred.
Mei stepped forward.
She started to weave handsigns together.
"Boil Release: Skilled Mist Technique." Mei spewed a mist from her mouth right into Valper's face.
His body started to melt.
His screams of agony lasted for only a few moments, before his flesh and bones were turned into a puddle of goo on the execution stage for all to see. She dispersed the mist when it was finished with it's job.
Freed was ungagged next.
Gaara came forward.
"... Come on, lets be civil here... I'm just here to kill shitty devils. You guys are humans... you should be on our side right?" Freed had the color in his face gone. Sand started to creep up his body, covering his legs as he was lifted into the air. The sand covered the vast majority of his body in moments, even his mouth was covered until only his eyes and nose were visible from the sand coffin that surrounded him.
"A guest of a ninja village is protected by the village. We don't see devils, angels, or fallen angels as our enemies until they attack us first. You three attacked us, and planned to assassinate guests under our protection. For that, we will not imprison you... your soul is filled with nothing but darkness and evil." Gaara explained as he lifted Freed higher up into the air.
He pointed his hand at Freed.
"He's going to suffocate him to death." Serafall whispered.
Sirzechs eyes widened when he sensed what was about to happen before it happened.
"Sand Burial."
The sand contracted around Freed with so much force that it caused Freed to implode, pulverizing each and every part of his body that was inside of the sand... Freed's eyes went flying, along with part of his face that had been left visible. The sand caught the blood that rained down from above, preventing it from touching any of the ninja watching the executions. All of the sand that had been used retreated back into the gourd on Gaara's back.
There was not a trace of Freed left behind.
"We're sorry that you all had to attend an execution today, on this the day that we got the village's electricity up and running. As an apology, tomorrow, everyone in the village will be given a day off from work." Tsunade came forward and apologized to all of those who were in attendance of the execution.
Azazel wanted to go down.
He didn't.
'Kokabiel's death won't spark a war, because I'm not stupid enough to start a war over his death... this... might complicate things a lot though.' Azazely watched as hundreds of shinobi were starting to walk away from the execution.
Nobody even batted an eyelash at the horrible ways those three were killed.
They deserved their deaths, but the fact was that nobody seemed disturbed by the gruesome way those deaths happened.
These people were killers.
"Still... this is good for us... we don't need to walk around worrying... they view us as guests, even with this incident, they made sure to single us out as innocent." Serafall whispered to Sirzechs. She had noticed that as it was happening. The Kage that had performed the executions made sure that nobody would blame them for what happened. Even with the death of one of their own, they wanted to spill as little innocent blood as possible.
"They didn't even hesitate to murder those three..."
"Of course not, if you try to start a war, of course you're going to get killed for it. I mean, the punishment has to fit the crime... and their crime was trying to create death." Naruto stood behind Serafall and Sirzechs with his arms crossed.
They jumped.
"When-"
Naruto raised a hand to stop them from talking.
"Actually, I've been protecting you guys since Kokabiel and his croonies entered the village. When we figured out they were coming to kill you all, they wanted me to be with you just in case there were more of them... so I've been following you guys for... the last 20 hours now." Naruto had been tailing them as their shadow for almost an entire day. He yawned and covered his mouth, since his mission was over now. "... and I am going to enjoy my day off tomorrow." Naruto was glad that nobody else had invaded the village.
Sirzechs grabbed Naruto's sleeve and stopped him from walking off.
"... You support what just happened?"
"I don't support the fact they made it public. Still, they did it so that you guys wouldn't get blamed for their crimes. It's better that we all don't stir the pot, and get along with each other. Now, if you're done-" Naruto pulled his sleeve out of Sirzechs grasp. "-I've got a cup of instant ramen and a bed with my name on it... oh... and... Serafall... I don't know how to say this... but you really shouldn't masturbate to a picture of your little sister, and imagining me having a threesome with you two." Naruto looked over at Serafall.
She turned bright red in the face.
Silently she nodded her head in agreement.
He saw that?
Chapter End!
Please Leave Me Lots of Nice Long Reviews, But No Flames Please!
Do any of you think that Kokabiel would ignore Michael, Azazel, Serafall, and Sirzechs all meeting up at one location, and NOT trying to start a war over it?
