Route 32

It was early morning, and Jackson had just left the Pokémon Center, gathering up supplies for the next part of his journey, saying his farewells to Ethan before leaving. He decided to use his Air Shoes to dash towards the Ruins of Alph. He ended up near the entrance in a few minutes as a result of his speed.

"You doing okay, Eevee?" Jackson asked his partner on his shoulder, who was straightening out her fur.

"I have gotten use to your speeds." Eevee replied, cleaning her fur, "Who knows? Maybe I'll be able to run as fast as you one day."

"I would like to see that." Jackson replied, pulling out his tablet, and looking up the Ruins of Alph, "According to this, there are many stories and myths behind these ruins. Some say that these ruins hold secrets about the past adventures of old. Some say that the ruins hold untold knowledge. Some even say mysterious Pokémon reside in the underground ruins."

"I know you said you were interested in the ruins, but are you any good at studying this stuff?" Eevee asked her trainer.

"Not really. It's more of an interest I gained from hanging around Knuckles, who has a tendency to go treasure hunting. I join with him, but I'm more in it for the thrill."

"Then let's make sure we at least find something to look forward to in these ruins." Eevee stated, hopping off of Jackson's shoulder, and walking along with him as they entered the ruins together.

(Insert 'Never Give Up' By Sonar Pocket)

Instrumental Opening

(Jackson stands at the top of a cliff, looking out into the vast landscape of the Johto region. He turns to the camera with surprise, grins, then draws his sword and swipes it across the screen, transitioning to white with the logo appearing.)

What tough heart! Once I decided that I'd keep up the fight

My road has never stopped unraveling

(Camera circles around Jackson as he runs along an open-plain path with his Eevee, who after a couple seconds, leaps onto his shoulder as he activates his Extreme Gear and shoots even faster onto the path.)

Carrying a small bit of pride

With my fists clenched

(The screen shows a brief image of Professor Elm, dropping papers from his clipboard, and smiling as he rubbed the back of his head. It shifts to a visual of Kris, Ethan, and their starters, with Ethan punching his fist forward, while Kris spun around with her arms out wide.)

I aim for the goal again step by step

Racing towards it with all my might!

(The screen shifts to Sonic & Tails, the former giving a thumbs up, while the latter waved his hands above eagerly. The screen shifts to Cypher, who glared at the screen with a Pokéball held close to his face.)

Sometimes it'll be a bad day

Where nothing goes the way I want it to

But even if the sky blurs through my tears

(Jackson is sitting by a campfire, his expression full of emotional pain as shadows of his past with red eyes creeped all around him. He curled himself into a ball as the shadow of his father appeared over his head.)

I'm sure my smiles will come back tomorrow

So it's okay!

(Shadows started getting blown away one large piece at a time, until light broke out around Jackson, who looked up to see his Pokémon all standing there, protecting him from his trauma.)

There's nothing out there to fear

I'll keep believing that 'I'm strong'

And get going!

(Silhouettes of the Gym Leaders appeared as the screen scrolled upwards through a gold, silver, and crystal colors behind them. It shifts to the emblem of Team Rocket, with darkened faces of grunts, with the four admins in front, holding their Pokéballs. Jackson readies his blade, as he tosses a Pokéball forward, which opens up and blinds the screen in a white light.)

'With you around, there's nothing to worry about now'

I felt as if the sky was saying that to me with a laugh

(Eevee leapt forward, unleashing a Swift attack from her tail, with Ledian flying next to her, using Flash to blind the scene. Dewott and Weavile shoot through the Swift attack, unleash double Night Slash, slicing the stars, before dismissing their blades, and Dewott angrily looking at the calm and collected Weavile.)

With the sweat and tears I build up

I'm sure I'll come out dazzling

(Cyndaquil turns to face the Team Rocket logo, before unleashing his Flamethrower. Cyndaquil sighed in relief as Scyther flew over him, before slashing with his mantis claws like a swordsman.)

Even if I end up feeling anxious after it all

As long as I believe I can do it

(An Aeroblast and Sacred Fire came from the sky, shooting down at Jackson's team, but Jackson stepped in and unleashed several sword beams, countering the attacks and making them explode. He and his team endured the shockwaves and smoke from the explosion, before looking up into the distance, and saw the silhouettes of the Tower Duo flying over the two towers that represented each.)

These footsteps have taught me to

Always

Never Give Up!

(Jackson's Pokémon come to his side as he looked to them, before grinning eagerly, and the group leapt up into the air, taking on the new threat and the new adventure. The screen goes white before showing Jackson standing with his sword stabbed into the ground, his Pokémon companions surrounding him.)

Ruins of Alph

The ruins were definitely ancient, made of nothing but stone, with moss and greenery seeping through the area. However, there were signs that the place was a bit of a touristy place, with some people around the place, taking photos or their Pokémon examining the place. Jackson could see some archeologists here and there, examining the ruins.

"This is definitely one old place." Jackson noted, looking about.

"It's strange, but I almost feel a sort of tenseness around here." Eevee noted, looking about.

"Tenseness?" Jackson echoed.

"Yeah, like something important is here." Eevee described.

"Is that so?" Jackson questioned her, "Well, let's see if we can't find that important thing." Jackson told her, and they marched along, looking about.

The place looked relatively the same all around as they ventured through, looking in buildings to see nothing of huge interest. Eevee was sniffing about, trying to find where that feeling she was getting was leading her towards.

They eventually reached the entrance to a chamber that was across a pond, Jackson merely speeding over on his Air Shoes. They looked at it, and they wandered inside. The interior was lit with headlights, and completely made of stone. Jackson passed a couple people, while witnessing one examining the writing on the walls. He was a bit rotund, with the stereotypical archeologist attire of a tan hat, overcoat, cargo pants, and boots. He also had a notebook and a pencil, scribbling away at it.

"Interesting. Very interesting..." he muttered to himself as Jackson approached.

"Scuse me, sir." Jackson addressed the man, who panicked as he got sacred out of his concentration, "Sorry, didn't mean to disturb you.

"Oh, never mind me." he replied, "How can I help you, young man? Are you interested in these ruins?"

"Sort of. This is my first time here." Jackson answered, "What can you tell me about this place?"

"Interesting. Very interesting." the archeologist stated, "Well, my name is Ciman. I am one of the lead archeologists in the Ruins of Alph. I studied these ruins for a very long time, understanding the language within."

Jackson walked up to the walls, and looked at the different shapes lined along segments on the wall. "They remind me of letters." Jackson noted, "But each one has an eye on each letter. What's that suppose to mean?"

"Ah, interesting, isn't it?" Ciman answered, "This is the language of the Unown."

"Unknown?" Jackson echoed, "There is a language of something not known?"

"Not that. I mean the Pokémon called Unown." Ciman answered.

"So these letters are really Pokémon?" Jackson asked, examining each letter.

"Yes. Interested, are you?" Ciman asked.

"Yeah. But why are Pokémon on the walls?" Jackson asked, "And do they live in these ruins?"

"Ah! Most interesting questions!" Ciman answered, "In ancient times, the people then used these ancient Pokémon as as their form of calligraphy. They tell the stories of their past endeavors, of the rise and fall of their civilization, and many stories in between. However, I believe there is more to this place than just what is shown here. I theorize that there is a truly interesting mystery in these ruins, just waiting to be discovered!"

"I gotta know what that is." Jackson stated, looking intrigued by the notion, "So, does there seem to be anything that sticks out in the place?"

"A very interesting one, in fact." the archeologist answered, "Follow me to the back of the chamber." He led Jackson and Eevee towards the back of the ruins, where they saw an open wall in the back, with a few Unown letterings on a 'plaque'. "This small, open space in these chambers is one of the two highlights that speaks out to us archeologist as peculiar, and interesting." he told Jackson.

"So, what does it say on the plaque?" Jackson asked.

"Let's see here..." Ciman answered, pulling out his book and examining the contents, "From what I read, it seems like the lettering forms the word 'Flash'."

"Flash?" Jackson echoed, examining it. If he looked at it from an English lettering perspective, he was able to see how it would spell out like that.

"The thing is, we have no idea what this means." Ciman explained, "We tried flashing lights, flashing cards. We even did a bit of flashing ourselves, to no avail. We can't figure it out."

"That last part was really unnecessary." Jackson muttered, taking a step away from the man, feeling he might've spent too long in these ruins to think as bizarrely as that that. Jackson looked to the plaque, and pondered.

"Jackson, what if it is really talking about the move Flash?" Eevee suggested.

"Hey, there's a thought." Jackson responded, "But the question is where do we need to use Flash on?" He paused as he thought for a moment, before saying, "Well, the answers are usually the most obvious. Ledian, come on out!" Jackson tossed out the ball containing his partner, who flew upon appearance.

"Careful! We usually don't allow Pokémon in such an interesting location!" Ciman exclaimed, "Having your Eevee is already troublesome!"

"No worries, I won't stir anything up." Jackson assured him, "At least, I hope this doesn't."

"What do you need from me, Jackson?" Ledian asked.

"Can you use Flash on this wall, please?" Jackson requested. Ledian obliged, flying up to the wall. "You might want to shield your eyes, sir." Jackson told Ciman. Ledian spread his wings out and emitted a bright light, blinding the area, and causing everyone to shield their eyes. When the Flash ceased, there was a moments pause, then the team heard something like ancient gears working out, before the open stone wall was pulled back and pushed to one side, revealing a hidden entrance.

"Most interesting!" Ciman exclaimed, "How did we not think to use Flash to open this door?!"

"You said it yourself; you're sensitive to have Pokémon in this place." Jackson explained, "I can be cautious while doing such things." They entered into the hidden chamber together.

Inside, they only had a vacant room with a treasure chest within. Jackson immediately raced to the chest, declaring, "Treasure acquired!" He promptly opened up the box, and looked inside. Whatever the chest was made of, it kept the stuff well-preserved within, cause in it was a berry, a bundled bag of something dust in texture, a root, and a stone.

"What in the heck?!" Jackson questioned, pulling the stuff out, "Who would leave stuff like this inside a chest in such a manner?"

"Yuck! I don't like the smell of that satchel of whatever that is!" Eevee scowled, keeping away from the bag he pulled out.

"That root is also pretty disgusting to smell, too." Ledian admitted.

"Ah, I see you found a bag of Heal Powder and an Energy Root. Quite interesting, aren't they?" Ciman asked, "They are good for healing your Pokémon, but they are quite bitter, so they don't like to digest them."

"I have to admit, I hate having bitter medicine, too." Jackson stated, picking up the berry and stone, "If I remember what I read before, these are a Sitrus Berry and a Moon Stone. They're pretty useful, but why are they in here?"

"Probably a reward to anyone who solves the riddle on the wall." Ciman answered, "There was another interesting chamber closer to our main station, and we ended up discovering how to open the hidden room in there. All we had to do was offer up an Escape Rope to it. Although, we only found more powder in it, along with berries. I'd say you found a far more interesting treasure trove than we did."

"Is it okay for me to take this?" Jackson asked, "I mean, it is part of the ruins."

"We won't be bothered. It's no big loss." the archeologist assured him, "In fact, if you are good at figuring things out like you did with these ruins, perhaps you would take interest in another puzzle near the entrance."

"Okay, sounds interesting." Jackson responded, before stumping himself as he mentally added, 'Great, now even I am saying 'interesting' as much as he is!'

They walked out of the room, and rounded around the interior walls of the chamber. They reached the parts of the interior walls closest to the entrance, and Jackson saw what he was talking about. On the wall was a deep rectangular divot on the wall, and on the outside ridge of this, several cubic pieces were placed in little sockets to keep them in place.

"What is all this?" Jackson asked, examining it all.

"We're not entirely sure, interestingly enough." Ciman answered, "We believe that these cubic stone pieces are connected to the hole in the wall. We theorized that they might do something if it is placed in a certain way, but none of us are able to figure out how."

Jackson pulled out the cubic pieces one at a time, examining each as he placed one in to pull out another, with Eevee and Ledian watching on either side. "The only difference on each of them is the face of each cube." Jackson noted, taking two off at a time this time around, and examining each piece together, "There has to be some connection there that..." Jackson stopped as he held two stone cubes together. He then propped one over the other, seeing that they align in a way. Curious, he placed them on the ground together, and pulled out another one that he felt connected to them, followed by another.

"Question; have you ever tried taking these out of the ruins to examine them?" Jackson asked Ciman.

"We tried, but interestingly enough, some unknown force prevents us from taking them out of the chamber." he answered, "Why do you ask?"

"Well, I think these if you took the time to study these in here, you would see that these stones are really a jigsaw puzzle. Look." Jackson waved Ciman over to his angle, before seeing what he had made.

"Are those...wings?" he asked.

"Yep, and I bet based on the shape of the hole and the size of the blocks, that this i picture. Look, right here." He took two different pieces together and formed a pike-like shape, "Might be the end of a tail. Let's put these aside."

Jackson was use to all sorts of puzzles. This was rather simple compared to most. In less than a minute, he was able to form it together. He stood up as he looked down at the picture, which had the appearance of a dragon-like creature. "Is this a Pokémon, too?" Jackson asked.

"Marvelously interesting!" Ciman exclaimed, "So the pieces were able to form a picture! And, by the looks of it, it has the appearance of an Aerodactyl."

"Aerodactyl." Jackson echoed, pulling out his Pokédex and tapping in the name. "Aerodactyl. The Fossil Pokémon. Aerodactyl is a Pokémon from the age of dinosaurs. It was regenerated from genetic material extracted from amber. It is imagined to have been the king of the skies in ancient times."

"People are able to revive Pokémon from ancient times?!" Jackson questioned, "That's seriously next level!"

"Interesting, isn't it?" Ciman noted, "Now, let's put the picture in the hole, and see what happens!" With Ledian's help, Jackson and Ciman were able to fit the picture into the slot.

The moment the last piece was placed in, all of a sudden, the grooves in between each piece shined, causing the four to look in awe at it. Then, the place began to rumble about them, causing the three who had their feet on the ground to try and sustain their footing.

"Is this an earthquake?!" Jackson questioned.

"I believe the chamber is responding to finishing the puzzle!" Ciman answered, "This is..."

"Yeah, very interesting. We get it!" Jackson and Eevee answered simultaneously.

Suddenly, the stone flooring folded out downward right underneath their feet, and Jackson and Eevee were the first to fall quickly. Immediately, Ciman tried to prevent from falling by grabbing Ledian's leg, and he felt the pressure. "Too...heavy...chunky guy!" Ledian gasped, and he fell with the archeologist as they tumbled through the darkness.

Jackson was able to see the floor below as they fell, and activated his Air Shoes for a burst of energy at the soles of his feet to slow his fall, grabbing Eevee neatly with his hands, before nicely landing on the ground.

"Well, nice for us to drop in, I guess?" Jackson stated.

"Look out!" Eevee cried, looking above, before running out of Jackson's hands as Ciman fell right on top of Jackson, forming a dust cloud upon impact. Ledian was fortunate that the heavy archeologist let go of him before, as he flew down to join the scene.

"That was a very interesting reaction." Ciman stated, who was on his back, "But it brought us into the Underground Ruins. Why is that?"

He suddenly was jettisoned into the air by a bunt from Jackson's foot, screaming before he crashed face first onto the floor a good ways away from where he was before. Jackson rose to his feet, stretching his back, feeling the pops as everything was put back into place. "Don't belly flop on me, man!" the swordsman shouted to him.

"Where are we?" Eevee asked, looking about.

"I think that man said we were in some Underground Ruins." Ledian answered, looking about.

"If he is aware of this, maybe he knows of a way out." Jackson answered, looking to Ciman groaning.

"Pardon..." said a voice from behind them. The trio looked around behind them, wondering where the voice came from, until they looked up. A black 'P' with an eyeball came floating down towards them. "Perchance you pardoned me from petrification?" it asked.

"What is that?!" Ledian exclaimed.

"It must be one of those Unown the man spoke of!" Eevee assumed as Jackson pulled out his Pokédex. "Unown. The Symbol Pokémon. This Pokémon is shaped like ancient writing. It is a mystery as to which came first, the ancient writings or the various Unown. Research into this topic is ongoing but nothing is known."

"They really are Pokémon." Jackson stated, putting away his dex as the Unown descended towards them.

"Promptly respond to my perplex problem." the Unown told them.

"Um...we're not sure." Jackson answered, "We just solved a puzzle, and a trap door opened up and we fell through. Did we accidentally awaken you in the process?"

"Precisely." the Unown answered.

"Definitely." spoke up another similar voice, and another Unown appeared on the scene, this one shaped like a D.

"Another Unown!" Eevee gasped.

"You did descend down into these depth due to deciphering the decryption." the D Unown explained.

"Plus, you purposefully procured our presence." the P Unown added, "Presumably, praise must be produced."

"Okay, I think I got the schtick on the whole 'saying the majority of what you say with the letter you represent' thing." Jackson understood, "But basically, my completing the puzzle woke you guys up and made me fall down here."

"Precisely/Definitely." the two Unown answered.

"In that case, what do you plan to do to us now that we woke you up?" Eevee asked.

"Appraising your power." the P Unown answered.

"Deciding if you dare to deserve our dividend." the D Unown followed.

"What?" Jackson asked, before seeing the two Unown create spheres of energy around itself, and fired it at him and Eevee, causing them to evade. "Whoa, hold on!" the trainer shouted, wondering why they were attacking.

Suddenly, the two heard Ciman groan as he rose up, and witnessed the Pokémon before him. "INTERESTING!" he exclaimed, "Real Unowns! They never appeared in the ruins before!"

"Yeah, REALLY interesting!" Jackson argued, turning from him to the Unown, "Guess we're fighting this battle. Ledian, Eevee, let's fight 'em!"

"Right!" the two answered, ready to fight.

"Duel!" the D Unown declared, unleashing another set of energy sphere, striking at Eevee, who leapt up to avoid the attack, which exploded beneath her.

"Unown's special attack, Hidden Power!" Ciman called out.

"Hidden Power?" Jackson echoed, "I think I read about that. The type varies between Pokémon."

"Precisely!" the P Unown called out, unleashing another energy sphere attack, shooting Ledian, who evaded the attack at it hit the wall.

"Ledian, Supersonic! Eevee, Bite!" Jackson called out. Eevee leapt forward at P Unown with glowing fangs floating in front of her, while Ledian unleashed a sonic wave at the D Unown. Both attack made their mark, with P Unown falling due to the damage it took, while D Unown was swaying in the air, confused.

"Dizzy..." said the woozy Unown.

"Powerful." the P Unown muttered.

"Dark-type moves are super-effective against Psychic-types like Unown." Jackson noted, "Eevee, use Swift!"

"Take this!" Eevee shouted, swinging her tail to unleash a storm of stars. P Unown unleashed more energy spheres, counteracting the attack.

The D Unown was somehow able to fight through the confusion, and unleash its own Hidden Power, two spheres hitting Ledian and Eevee together. Jackson looked startled as Ledian fell backwards from the impact, but Eevee looked like no damage hit her.

"Poltergeist power." P Unown stated.

"Poltergeist?" Jackson questioned, "Oh, the Hidden Power of that Unown is Ghost-type!" Ledian got back up as Jackson called out, "Ledian, time to use Flash!"

"Time to blindside them." Ledian responded, flying forward and unleashing blinding light that caused the two Unown to squint.

"Eevee, Bite on D! Ledian, Mach Punch on P!" The two Pokémon responded by going to their targets, Ledian striking the P Unown with a fast punch, sending it flying, while Eevee snapped chomping teeth onto D Unown. The two fell backwards, both looking down for the count.

"That takes care of that." Jackson stated.

"What are you waiting for, boy?!" Ciman demanded, "You should take this interesting moment to capture them!"

"Oh, right. Maybe I should do that." Jackson responded, thinking that should end the battle. He pulled out a pair of Pokéballs, and threw them at each Unown with great accuracy. They struck and sucked them into the balls. They shook around a few times, before they clicked, signaling the capture.

"Well, that's that." Jackson stated, grabbing each ball and holding them in each hand, "Nicely done, you two." Ledian and Eevee looked pleased at the praise.

"Incredibly interesting!" Cimon exclaimed, approaching him in joy, "You managed to capture a pair of Unown! You have my interest and my praise, young Jackson."

"Thanks." Jackson thanked him, looking at the balls,, "Now it's time to find out why they challenged me. Come out, you two!" He toss the balls up, and out came the two Unown, floating in front of him.

"We praise your potential." P Unown stated.

"Well done." D Unown added.

"Thanks. Now what is this 'dividend' you spoke about?" Jackson asked the pair.

"Pursue us." the P Unown answered, and the two flew ahead, with Ciman, Jackson, and his Pokémon following them.

A minute into following them, they stopped as they reached a certain segment in the wall. They stopped as they looked to it, before they heard voices from above and around. They looked around, and were surprised. Over twenty Unown suddenly appeared, flying down towards them. Each of them had a different shape, but all were black, and all had a single eye on them.

"So many Unown!" Ledian gasped.

"No two are the same kind!" Eevee noted.

"They all must represent a letter in the alphabet." Jackson stated.

They suddenly flew towards the wall, and started to create a circle in front of it, spinning like a wheel in front of the team. Suddenly, the wall shined brightly, blinding the team. When it died down, a gap appeared in the wall where none was before.

"Marvelously interesting!" Ciman exclaimed, "A hidden room untouched by any archeologist, until now!"

The Unown ceased their circling, and flew right into the room, with Jackson's Unown the last to go, along with an Unown shaped like an F, saying, "Follow.", and they flew in.

"Let's go in and see what they have for us." Jackson told the group, and they entered into the hidden chamber.

After a long stretch of hallway, they found themselves in a semi-circular room, with writing all along the wall, with the only flat surface showing a series of pictures on it, like it was telling a story. The Unown were floating around aimlessly in the room, as the team looked intrigued by their surroundings. As Ciman went to reading the writing on the wall, Jackson approached the picture story on the wall.

The picture on the far right of the chamber showed four ominous-looking Pokémon surrounding a single figure; a human, by the looks of it.

The picture to its left showed three more Pokémon, one that looked more holy and had a sort of halo around its body, while the other two floated to its side, as they were above a single human figure.

After that picture was a picture of the same human figure that was in the previous one, now with seventeen pentagonal-shaped pieces surrounding him, facing the one in the first picture, who was coated in darkness. Behind the first one was several characters, each looking human-like, but each having something in their hands. Jackson could make out the three closest to the person; one who had a glowing hand, one who had a flaming fist, and the third who had a sword.

What followed next was an interesting one, as it divided into two separate picture, one top one bottom. The one on top had the person with the glowing hands follow the one with the seventeen pieces into what Jackson assumed was a portal, leading to the other side, where the one, who now had a twin, with seventeen pieces, plus many powerful-looking Pokémon surrounded him, including six smaller ones, as they confronted the darker figure, who looked more ominous based on the etched darkness surrounding him, and the four ominous Pokémon around him. Right by it were two large spheres, with symbols that looked like a Pokéball and a bird-like symbol.

The bottom part had the person with glowing hands enter into a portal made by one of the ominous-looking Pokémon, failing to follow the person with seventeen pieces, which led to a scene where that same person looked injured, crouched by one with a sword that was in the third picture, as he gave the seventeen pieces to the one with glowing hands, who had eleven others beside them, each holding a weapon and having a Pokémon by their side, as they confront two evil-looking characters, one the same as the other, and the second new. Jackson could make out the weapons those surrounding the lead, like a scythe, a rapier, a sword, gauntlets, a sword and shield, a hammer, twin sickles, a spear and shield, a sword and gauntlet, a great shield, and a vambrace. More spheres were right by it, only there were four of them, two of which had the symbols of the other picture, while the other two spheres had a picture of a broken moon, and the other had a picture of a familiar ring to Jackson.

"What is all this?" Jackson asked, "Is this telling a story of some sort?"

"I don't know why, but I feel really drawn to this story." Eevee noted.

"Same. Like this is a fate we must confront." Ledian followed up.

Jackson turned to Ciman as he asked, "Do you have any idea what this is, Ciman?"

"Most interesting…" Ciman responded, his tone very serious at the moment as he was writing down all he read very quickly, "This is beyond what I had assumed laid in these ruins."

"What are you talking about?" Jackson asked.

"This chamber is dedicated to a prophecy made by a future seer of the Sinjoh Ruins." Ciman asked, and before Jackson asked, he explained, "They are ruins that seem to link together the regions of Johto and Sinnoh. They are incredibly sacred ruins, and is said to even be close to the god of Pokémon itself, Arceus."

"Arceus?" Jackson echoed, "So there is even a god among Pokémon?"

"Indeed. Interesting, is it not?" Ciman asked.

"Even to us Pokémon, we are all born with the knowledge the god Arceus as well." Eevee noted, "While we do not know what it looks like, the name is embedded into our very beings, and we rejoice in its name." Ledian nodded in agreement as well.

"So, what's this prophecy that the seer made?" Jackson asked.

"Well, here is what I was able to transcribe from the wording on the wall, and it links to the pictures you are looking at." Ciman stated, walking up next to Jackson as they looked at the pictures. "Four of the most evil Pokémon that ever lived, sealed by god itself to live in eternal darkness, will choose a human, with just as great of malice, as the one who will guide them as their assailant, free them, and destroy all things that ever existed. All worlds, all times, even life and death, will be expelled into nothingness."

"That's…pretty scary." Jackson noted, shuddering at the thought.

"But god, weakened by their actions, will select its chosen hero to face the evil, but must face them in a world far from our own, gathering the Plates that make up Arceus's power in order to confront the enemy. He will gather many allies along the way, including his own sister."

"Another world?!" Jackson questioned, feeling a connection to that, "So more worlds than this one will be involved in such a battle?!" He wondered if he was involved in such a battle, due to being from another world, as well.

Ciman went to the wall on the opposite side of the entrance, looking at the writing on it, before frowning. "Go on. What's the rest of the story?" Jackson asked, looking at the pictures, "I mean, I am to assume what you spoke about is contained in the first three pictures, but what about these final two that looked split up."

"This is very, VERY interesting." Ciman muttered, "According to this, the seer was constantly switching between two different visions, not able to pin down the correct future. However, after much deliberation, the seer believed these must be two different futures, all dependent on one very important moment."

"Hold on; TWO futures?" Jackson echoed, "I know the old saying about how their might be parallel worlds with 'what if' plot lines, but is this for real?"

"Indeed." Ciman answered, "Now, should the sister follow Arceus's chosen, a great battle will ensue between the chosen, their Pokémon, and many Legendaries beside them, against the assailant."

"Okay, I guess that's this top one." Jackson noted, waving to the top picture that described the story he made to a T, "So what about the bottom one. Is this a branching path in the future?"

"Yes. Should the evil interfere and separate the sister from Arceus's chosen, then she will be trialed by fate, with many others of other worlds by her side, as they confront the assailant that joined forces with the evil of another world. There, Arceus's chosen will be unable to truly defeat the evil, but will pass down their duty to the sister and her allies and Pokémon to confront the evil."

Jackson looked to the picture, leading his eyes to the four spheres which he assumed were worlds as well. Looking at the one with the familiar ring, he suddenly gasped at a thought occurred to him. He swung his bag around and dug into it, before pulling out a golden ring from his world that he had saved just in case. Ciman was too busy to look to him as he held up the ring to the picture, and angled it to match the angle of the ring on it. They were a perfect match.

Jackson looked stunned as he lowered his hand and stepped back. 'This future… Could this mean that I am a part of it?!' he questioned.

Suddenly, the Unown started to act up, as every single one started to fly towards Jackson and his Pokémon, and started to circle around them like a tornado. This even brought Ciman's attention, watching as they were trapped within. "What interesting thing is this?!" he questioned.

Jackson was spinning his head around, looking at the Unown, wondering what was gonna happen. Finally, he heard them speak as one. "Your are part of one of these futures. Following the shadow, you will be lead to the future. Follow the sister, and you will clash with the ultimate evil that will even send your worst nightmare to clash with you. Do not fail, Jackson Alpphire."

Jackson was stunned at these words, wondering what this all meant. Following the shadow? Follow the sister? The ultimate evil? His worst nightmare? What were they saying? He didn't have time to comprehend all of this, as the Unown suddenly glowed brightly, blinding him and his Pokémon, including Ciman. The next second, The four of them, along with Jackson's Unown, were standing right outside the chamber he had entered in before.

"What... just happened?" Jackson questioned.

"That's what I am interested in!" Ciman responded, "Why did the Unown become interested in you?"

"What is this future they speak of?" Ledian asked.

"I dunno, but I get the feeling we're all involved in it in some way." Eevee answered, looking to Jackson, "What are you gonna do about it, Jackson? You are our trainer."

Jackson paused, thinking about it. He had this feeling deep down that what the prophecy entailed wasn't gonna happen soon, but he had to be ready, nevertheless. He had no idea about what the shadow or sister meant, but he knew that he would meet either one in the future. He had to be prepared for when they came his way. He looked to the two Unown, who looked down at him, waiting a response.

"I can't make any big answer right now, but I know that something crazy is gonna happen in the future." Jackson replied, "And right now, we need to be ready for when it shows up."

"Precisely/Definitely." The two Unown answered, while Eevee and Ledian nodded in agreement.

Some time later, they were at the main entrance of the research center of the Ruins of Alph, with Jackson and Eevee standing in front of Ciman and the two Unown.

"Are you quite sure you want me to hold onto the Unown?" Ciman asked, "They are quite interesting Pokemon, and you might want them."

"Thanks, but I feel like having them here with you, in the ruins, is more appropriate." Jackson replied, "They might help you in your research. Plus, I doubt it would be easy to handle hearing them talking with D and P. I doubt the writer could handle it." Everyone looked to him with questionable expressions.

(Author: Geez, it is the truth... But easy on those 4th wall breaks!)

"In that case, I shall take care of them in your stead." Ciman assured him, "You are a very interesting young man. I hope I hear more about your adventures soon."

"Something tells me you might." Jackson replied, turning around as Eevee hopped onto his shoulder.

"Do svidaniya." The D Unown called out.

"Persevere." The P Unown added.

"What did that one Unown say?" Eevee asked.

"Must be a different language for goodbye." Jackson answered, running off. As he ran, he mentally added, 'If I am part of this future where I join others against a sinister enemy, then I HAVE to regain who I was. My Pokémon and I have to get stronger, both physically and mentally. I just hope we are ready when that day comes.'
