Jedi trapped on Felucia! Clones are surrounded by droid forces. Their only hope is to escape on Republic gunships waiting to land on the embattled surface. Jedi cruisers have managed to blow a hole in the droid defenses, and have sent gunships to the rescue.
Master Plo Koon leads, alongside John, the Fighter escort of the Republic Gunships onto the surface. He told a Clone Pilot called Warthog to protect the gunships, he and John would take out the fighters. After they did, they flew past the Munificent frigates and headed to rescue the trapped Republic forces. ON the command ship, Wolfe said, "They made it through the first wave. Concentrate all fire on the cruiser on the left!" as the Command ship fired down on the Munificent Frigates, they were taken out easily. On the surface, four AT-TEs were in a circle with clones under them firing in all directions as the Droids closed in. Obi wan, Anakin, and May deflected what they could and as they kept it up, Master Plo Koon saved one of his pilots from Two Vulture Droids, causing one to slam into one of the AT-TEs.
"That was close!" Said Anakin before he blocked another lightsaber shot after being pulled to the side by Obi-wan, who then said that if those fighters got through the gunships would be right behind them as a Spider Droid and B1 Battledroids got closer. Obi-wan told the commanders to prepare the troops to evacuate as four gunships landed to evacuate the survivors. Rex said, "Come on Grunts, we are Leaving!" as he began covering his men in evacuating before pointing out that Ahsoka should have been back from her patrol before the gunships arrived.
"I'll try contacting her again." May said before she pressed her comlink and said, "Ashoka where are you?! At Ahsoka's location, she was near the Laser cannon of her HAVw A6 Juggernaut blocking blaster bolts as May asked, "Ahsoka what is your location?!" over the comlink. Ahsoka told the Jedi Master, "About six klicks east, Master. We've engaged the enemy, and we've got them on the run." As a clone gunner fired the Laser cannon at the droids, taking several out.
"The gunships are here, we're leaving." May told her. Ahsoka was speechless and said that they couldn't retreat now, stating that she broke through. She said that the Droids were in retreat, but May told her that they were outnumbered and demanded she evacuate with her men and added that it was an order.
"Master Skywalker taught me never to let up when the tinnies are on the run." Ahsoka said to the masters as Anakin got into the gunship. Obi-Wan took the comlink and said that the Droids were running back to regroup with the main force, pointing out that she was putting her troops lives in danger. Stating that she WILL get on the gunship when they'd arrive. Anakin asked the two where Ahsoka was. May pointed out that she was following his teachings.
"Is she winning?" Anakin asked. And Obi-Wan said for now. Back with Ahsoka, her men were pushing forward still as the gunships flew overhead. Obi-Wan said that she's not stopping. Anakin said to land in front of her. The gunships did and that made Ahsoka shout, "What are you doing?!" The clones in the gunships fired at the Droids as Anakin told his Padawan to get in the ship.
"Can't you see they're retreating?" She asked her master, but he told her that they were about to overrun her and she couldn't see it. Anakin then ordered her into the ship, which she did and after the gunships took off, Ahsoka's vehicles were destroyed by the main force. As the ships headed to space, Ahsoka saw that Anakin was giving her a look that she knew she got when she did something wrong.
Later, at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Anakin, Ahsoka, and May were standing before the council as Mace asked Ahsoka if she felt that Master Kenobi's description of the incident on Felucia was accurate. She stepped forward slightly and said, "Yes, my Masters." Yoda asked her if she had anything more to add to it, and she responded with, "I know I was wrong. I just got so caught up in my own success, I didn't look at the battle as a whole. I wasn't being disobedient. I just… forgot." John sat in his seat with his left leg over his right as Anakin tried to take responsibility for the incident, stating that because of Ahsoka's advanced abilities, he had forgotten how young she was.
"I gave her more freedom than I should have." Anakin finished with. John sat up and said, "While you wanting to take responsibility for what she did is admirable as her master, Anakin, it still doesn't excuse what happened on Felucia. And May, you were there to make sure she didn't get too full on herself. Seeing as how you and she both are in trouble, I feel it's best for you two to be away from the battlefield." May looked down feeling like she failed her master, as did Ahsoka, as Mace said that John took the words right out of his mouth before Master Yoda said, "On archive security, reflect on your actions you can, you two."
"Guard duty? For how long?" Ahsoka asked the council and Mace said, "Longer now." After the council dismissed, John walked to May and pulled her to the side before he apologized if he was harsh, but he had to put on a show to get her into the Library as he handed her a device.
"This will allow us to download a copy of the entire Archive, make sure you put it in a spot no one will think of looking for it." John told his trusted friend. May nodded her head and slipped the device into her robe before walking away. In the Jedi Library, Ashoka, Anakin, and May were walking up to another Jedi as Ahokska apologized to her master for letting him down. Anakin told her that he knew as he was a Padawan not that long ago. May added that she was the same and that she felt she needed this break from the war.
"Madame Jocasta Nu, this is Ahsoka Tano and May Kirtman. They are to be your new security officers." Anakin said, introducing the two to the old Jedi. May bowed as Ahsoka said hello. Madame Jocasta said, "So good to meet you." before Anakin left the Library.
"Let's show you two around." Madame Jocasta Nu said to Ahsoka and May. Before they left, May planted the device under the front desk and it activated, being wireless it began downloading a copy of all the texts in the Archives. As Jocasta gave them the tour, she told them that there was more knowledge in the Archives than anywhere else in the Galaxy.
"Master Kenobi says there are even texts here that are forbidden to be read." Ahsoka said to the masters, making Jocasta Nu chuckle before saying, "Oh, the archives hold a great many secrets, 'tis true." She then said that beyond a door lay the Holocron vault as Master Kit Fisto walked to said door and used the force to open it. May smiled as Ahsoka asked if they could go inside. But Madame Jocasta Nu said, "Oh, I'm afraid not, my dear. I haven't been inside myself for years. Only members of the Jedi Council are allowed Access."
"Which makes sense in my opinion. Only those on the council should have access to the Vault. Besides, Guarding the Holocrons is one of the most important duties a Jedi can be given, Ashoka" May said to her fellow Jedi. Ahsoka nodded her head as Madame Jocasta Nu said, "Well said Master May." She then looked at Ahsoka and asked if the young Jedi was up to the task, to which Ahsoka replied with a positive answer. Meanwhile, in an undisclosed location on the planet, the Duros Bounty Hunter known as Cad Bane was looking out a window when Chancellor Palpatine… excuse me, Darth Sidious, contacted him.
"Excuse the interruption. As I was saying, bounty hunter, I have need of your services." Darth Palpatine, I mean Darth Sidious, said to him (Yes I know I made mistakes saying the correct name, but I don't like the guy.) Bane looked at the holocommunicator as he said he was listening. Sidious went on to say that he needed a Jedi Holocron, which Bane pointed out that to get one he would need to break into the Jedi Temple. He pointed out that it was impossible, not to mention Deadly. Sidious taunted Bane by stating his Reputation had been exaggerated.
"I want a Rogue Class Starfighter with elite weapons, cloaking device, the works. Oh, and triple my usual rate." Bane said as he sat down. Sidious said that his price was of no concern. He also said that he would Provide Bane with the means to get inside the temple. Bane told Sidious that he had a deal. Back in the Temple, Obi-Wan pointed out that the Setback at Felucia had affected their efforts in the whole sector.
"I agree, it will take weeks before we can…" John said before Master Yoda groaned. Anakin asked Master Yoda what was the matter and he told Anakin, "A disturbance in the Force. Intruders there will be, in this temple." That was when John said, "I sensed it too Master Yoda." Anakin and Obi-Wan looked at each other as John knew who would break in and he had a plan in motion. Back in the Undisclosed Location, Bane was doing "Maintenance" on a Droid called Todo 360.
When the buzzer for the door was pressed, Bane told Todo to get it and when he did, a Clawdite Bounty Hunter was standing there and asked who the droid was. After Todo introduced himself to her and asked who she was, the Bounty Hunter told him, "None of your business"
"Everyone is in a good mood today." Todo said to himself. The Clawdite, Cato Parasitti, put her rifle down and walked over to Bane as he was sitting down. She saw a Rodian on the screen of the computer he was on and asked who it was. Bane told her, "Bolla Ropal, Jedi, out in the Mid Rim." Cato asked if they were going after him, and Bane told her soon before telling her that they were stealing a Holocron, making said Holocron appear. Cato said that it was impossible, stating that the only place a person could get a Holocron but was cut off by Bane
"I know. Inside the main vaults of the Jedi temple. Fortunately, our Sith Lord client has set us up with some help. For one, the map of the temple you're looking at right now." Bane said to her, he then said, "For another, a Security chip that I've placed in my droid." Todo said that he had been given the technical data regarding the Security systems in the Jedi Temple. Bane went on and said, "Both the vent shafts and the vault itself are equipped with all kinds of traps and Security Measures. Todo can take them out, but we'll need help from someone inside the Jedi Library."
He then finished by saying, "And that's where your talents as a changeling will come in." As he looked behind him, Cato followed his Gaze, spotting a body wearing Jedi Robes. She pointed out that he looked like a Jedi and Bane said, "He was. His name was Ord Enisence." He turned off the map and said to Cato, "You should be able to walk into the Archives and monitor us without a problem." Cato looked back at Ord's body, walked over to it and with a single touch, changed into Ord Enisence. Bane chuckled as Cato said, "Now that I am a Jedi…"
"I can do that." She finished in Ord's voice. Bane said good and handed her ear comlinks so they could keep in communication. Cato said that the vault was in the Library which backed onto the communications center. She pointed out that there would be swarms of Jedi nearby. Bane told her that they would use that to their advantage.
"Even IF you get into the vault, how are you gonna crack that safe?" Cato asked Bane, to which he said to let him worry about the safe. First things first, getting to the temple. Back at the Temple, John was walking with Anakin and Obi-Wan as Anakin asked where they would start looking for the intruders. He then asked what they could be after. Obi-wan said that he doubted they would be trying to hijack Starfighters.
"What can they get here that they can't get anywhere else?" John asked, pretending to be clueless. Obi-Wan said Information and Anakin said, "The Jedi transmitter codes." Then John added, "Every piece of Troop information in one place." Anakin took over and said, "And it's all in the east tower."
"The east tower communications center." Obi-Wan added on. Anakin told the master he would head there right away, then Obi-wan told them that he would monitor the perimeter defenses from the central security station." Anakin and Obi-Wan ran their respective ways as John contacted May for an update on the download.
"Already at 50% Master." May told him. John smiled and said, "Good, I'll be down there shortly to get into position for our intruders to arrive." May acknowledged him before John walked past Cato in her disguise. Sensing her, John kept quiet as he knew the heist in the original timeline was a success. Outside the temple, Bane and Todo arrived outside and soon waited for Cato to make contact. In the Library, Ahsoka and May were walking together as Cato walked in and happened to walk past them.
"Good afternoon, Master Enisence." Ahsoka said to Cato. But May, with her training from the future, sensed the changeling but kept quiet as Cato replied with, "Good afternoon, young one." Ahsoka asked if she could be of any assistance, Cato told her no but thanked her, stating that (s)he didn't want to bother her. Ahsoka tried to insist, but May stopped her.
"The Master is busy, we have patrols to do Ahsoka." May said to the Togruta Padawan. Cato sighed in relief and continued walking. May then saw Madame Jocasta Nu look at Cato and she knew something was wrong as Cato sat at a Computer and told Bane that she was in.
"It's about time. Just tell us where we need to get in." Bane replied to her. Cato told Bane that there was a weak point in the shield that Todo should be able to break through. She beamed him the coordinates and Todo received them, going to said spot, he tapped the shield as Cato jammed the temple's scanner and a hole was opened big enough for bane to get through it.
In the central security station, the computers whirred and Obi-Wan asked what that was. The SP-4 analysis droid near him told him, "The system is just recycling, sir." Then Anakin contacted Obi-wan and told him that he was in the tower and that there were no intruders but pointed out the same thing happened in the tower that happened in the security station. That was when Yoda and John walked in as Yoda said, "Arrived, the intruders have."
"But if they are not in the tower, what are they after?" Obi-Wan asked. John planted the idea that the communications center could be their target. Anakin said that they must be in the central ventilation system. Checking the system, Obi-wan said, "You're right, there has been a disturbance. It's near the top of the South tower." Anakin told Obi-wan that he would meet him up there. John told the masters that he would be patrolling more and walked out as Master Yoda told them to place the temple on high alert. He then asked May for a progress update and she told him that it was at 65%.
"Copy, once it hits 100, pull the device." John told her before using the force to hide his presence and slip through a vent. Using the vent map he had in his head, he crawled into the Holocron vault and hid in a corner away from the main doors. Back with Bane and Todo, they were in the Central Ventilation system and floated down to a giant fan as Cato told Todo, "The control board for the fan should be on your left."
Todo pressed the button to stop the fan and he said that it was all clear. As they continued to descend past the fan, Cato told them, "Not quite. The fan you're passing through has a security switch." Todo said that he didn't see it and they already got past the fan right as they activated the Security switch, turning the fans back on and began sucking them into it. Bane told Todo to shut it off, but he didn't know how.
"Cato do something!" Bane shouted and Cato said, "I got it from here." As she powered down the fan. After Todo said sorry, they continued to descend before heading down a different pipe to get closer to the Holocron Vault. Cato then told Bane that the next part was relatively simple, as she told him, Madame Jocasta Nu walked up and said, "Excuse me. I… I don't mean to disturb you, but, uh, the whole temple is on high alert." Cato thanked her before she knocked the old Jedi out and took her form. After some time, Bane and Todo reached the Vault. When Bane contacted Cato, she told him in Jocasta's voice, "Give me a moment to check out the security system."
"What's wrong with your voice?" Bane asked her. She told him, "Change of plans. I'm the librarian now." Bane told her to hurry it up and pointed out that they couldn't stay hidden for long. Back where Bane and Todo entered, ANakin and Obi-Wan saw the open vent and Obi-wan used the force to get through the shield. IN the Vault, John contacted May and asked for an update. May told him, "80% now master, and that Changeling took the form of Madame Jocasta Nu, shall I engage?"
"Not yet. When Ahsoka moves to attack, assist her." John told her before he used the force to pull the Holocron that Bane was after off of the shelf and copied part of the data into a separate Holocron. Back in the main Library, Cato told Bane that the vault was filled with Laser sensors that went in every direction. She added that she would try to deactivate the whole system from her spot.
"Just hurry. I can hear them. They're looking for us in the vent system." Bane replied as Anakin and Obi-Wan repelled down the shaft Bane and Todo used to get in. Still thinking they were heading for the communications Center, Anakin and Obi-Wan headed that way. Bane told Cato that the Jedi were getting closer before she told them, "I got it, go in." Looking at the main hallway, Bane and Todo watched the laser sensors go off.
Back in the Vents, Anakin said that he didn't think the intruders came the way they did. Obi-Wan asked Master Yoda if they were picking up anyone else in that quadrant. Yoda replied with, "Deep in the temple, the intruders are." Obi-wan asked, "How are they managing to stay out of our way?" Then Master Yoda said, "Possible it is, receiving assistance they are, from inside." that made Obi-Wan say wonderful.
Back at the Vault door, Todo and Bane were working on different things as Bane said, "Almost there." He asked Todo if he was through deactivating the lasers. When Todo finished and said good to go, Bane had him cut into a wall, making Todo say, "This job just keeps getting weirder and weirder." before he began cutting into the wall. In the Library, Master Yoda contacted Ahsoka and May. He told them to be on alert. He sensed Deception and that the intruder was posing as a Jedi.
"FInd Master Jocasta, you two must." Yoda finished with. Ahsoka ran to find Madame Jocasta Nu while May checked the device and saw that it was at 100%. She quickly pulled it and ran to join Ahsoka. She heard lightsabers clashing and saw that AHsoka was dueling cato. She joined in by using the force on Cato, slamming her around and getting Madame Jocasta Nu's Lightsaber out of her hand. AHsoka held her lightsaber to the intruder's neck and said, "You may have Madame Jocasta's Shape, but not her skills." Cato then went and changed her form back to her normal looks.
After getting Cato to talk, Ahsoka contacted her master and told him, "Master Skywalker, Master Kirtman and I have captured the imposter disguised as a Jedi. She says the intruder's in the Holocron vault. May put Cato on the chair and said, "it took big balls to steal from the Jedi Order Bounty Hunter. However my master may have need of your skills as a Changeling." Cato raised an eyebrow and asked her what she meant. May told her that she will wait and see.
AS Bane continued to do his thing, he tried to contact Cato but no response. Todo asked what happened and Bane told him something's gone wrong before asking if the hole was finished. WHen Todo said it was, Bane told the Droid to head to the Communications Center. Todo said what, and Bane told him, "You heard me." Todo pointed out that the place Bane was sending him was going to be filled with Jedi. Bane ordered him to go and Todo did as he was ordered.
After Todo got into the vent, Bane placed an explosive on the panel for the Vault door. After some time, the explosive went off and made it seem like they were still heading for the communications center. After Anakin and Obi-Wan went through the hole, Bane walked to the Holocrons and forced the door open the rest of the way.
"Hello Bane." John said as he stepped into view, holding the holocron Bane needed. Bane crossed his arms and said, "This was unexpected, how did you know I would be here?" John told the Duros Bounty Hunter that he knew many things before tossing him the Holocron. John then said, "That has enough information for your Sith Lord Client."
"So you knew about this from the beginning, why not stop me?" Bane asked the future Jedi. John told him that the timeline had to be preserved. He then said to Bane, "You got balls Bane. How would you like to work for me." But Bane told him, "No thanks, I don't like working for Jedi." John nodded his head and handed Bane a Jedi Cloak before saying, "Use it to get out of here." Bane looked at him with confusion before an explosion was heard and Bane put the cloak on.
Later, May and Ahsoka brought Cato to Madame Jocasta Nu and Ahsoka asked if she was alright. She said she was and that they must call Security as Bane slipped past them, wearing the cloak and holding the Holocron. In the Vault, the Masters saw that a Holocron was missing. Master Yoda said that it was never about their War Operations. As Ahsoka and May walked Cato off, Obi-Wan asked what would someone want with a Holocron. That was when the Bounty hunter stopped them and said, "Bolla Ropal."
"What did you say?" Master Windu asked her, and Cato said, "Bolla Ropal. That's who Bane's next target is, some Jedi." John crossed his arms and said, "Makes sense why he would go after him." Anakin asked who Ropal was and Mace told him, "He is the keeper of the Kyber Crystal. The data on which can only be read by Holocrons." Ahsoka asked what was on the crystal. John told her, "If my memory serves me right, its a list of every known Force-Sensitive child in the Galaxy."
"That's right. The future younglings." Mace told John Mace then said that it was the future of the Jedi Order. Obi-Wan said that they had to warn him. But Mace said, "That's going to be hard to do. He's out of Contact, Somewhere in the Devaron System." Yoda told them that they must seek him out. Anakin said that Ahsoka and he would set out immediately.
"Actually, why not let me and my legion handle it, Anakin?" John pointed out. ANakin looked at him and said, "How about we go together, I get some clones together and Rex, we can go then." John didn't want Anakin to come along, but agreed anyway. Obi-Wan then said that if Cad Bane was still on the planet, he would find him. John knew Obi-wan wouldn't be able to find him, but he didn't say a word.
