Lugia: Aeroblast, Sky Attack, Hydro Pump, Dragon Rush
Ho-Oh: Sacred Fire, Flamethrower, Extrasensory, Brave Bird
While Jackson was in the Ecruteak City Theatre...
"Gengar, Sludge Bomb!" Morty shouted. Gengar inhaled and fired off a series of poisonous balls at Lugia, trying to shoot it down. However, the enraged Legendary Pokémon unleashed Hydro Pump to dismiss the attack, dousing the Sludge Bomb, and going towards Gengar.
"Light Screen!" Zuki shouted, and her Umbreon leapt in, creating a barrier that improved their endurance against special attack moves. The Hydro Pump made contact with both of them, and they got sent flying in pain from the attack, much to the two trainer's shock. "Even with my guard up, that still did this much?!" the kimono girl asked.
"They aren't Legendaries for nothing." Morty noted, looking back to see Ho-Oh unleash Extrasensory on Jolteon and Vaporeon, sending them flying in pain from the attack, much to Sayo and Kuni's shock.
Weavile leapt from building to building, until he jumped and unleashed Icy Wind at Lugia. However, with a heavy flap of its wings, Lugia dissolved the attack coming at it. "This isn't enough." he told himself, as Lugia roared into the air, not even looking at him, "My only long-ranged attack is far too weak. I need to make it stronger than this."
He landed onto the building roof, thinking of a way to do more damage. "I just need a stronger attack. I know of one, but...can I pull it off?" He thought for a second, then shook his head. "No. Stay cool, Weavile. You know you can do this. Just concentrate. Concentrate the cold into a single point. Condense it to make it stronger..." He closed his eyes and opened his mouth, trying to solidfy his Icy Wind into something more powerful. He breathed in the cold air into his open mouth, gathering it into one point, condensing it, become more than wind. The air started to turn into an icy blue energy, and it glowed off of Weavile's face.
Lugia suddenly turned to Weavile, who opened his eyes at his opponent, the glowing energy ready to fire, and he blasted it straight at him. It made contact with Lugia, striking its underbelly, hurting it enough to cause it to roar.
"Weavile just...!" Zuki noticed.
"He learned Ice Beam on the spot?!" Morty noticed.
Weavile closed his mouth, before looking at Lugia, who glared down at him. "You upset Jackson. My trainer." Weavile spoke up, "You will get plenty of chill from me."

(Traveling through shining golden tunnel of energy, leading out into space with many world, all of which different colors, with the central world being the Pokémon world. The logo 'Jackson in Johto' appears on screen, before the camera passes through the arch of the 'n' from 'in, going into the world, through the clouds, where the glowing shadow of Ho-Oh can be seen, to the sea, where the shadow of Lugia is flying beneath the waters, before reaching the shoreline, getting blinded by the sun.)
Yeah, stand up boys!
Come on, face forward
(Jackson stands up, with Quilava at his side, followed by Dewott, Weavile, and Scizor, all of which expressing their unique personalities to Jackson.)
The call enveloping you is your guide
Step towards tomorrow
(Dewott gets angry at Weavile for trying to act so cool, while Jackson rolls his eyes before he, Quilava and Scizor took off ahead, with Weavile following behind, ignoring Dewott, who panicked and ran to not be left behind.)
Yeah, stand up girls!
At the end of what's more than real
(Leafeon rises up with Lyanne as Jackson and the boys pass by. The two look to one another, before giggling at the sight of the boys, before looking to the sky.)
We'll grab a light that's been covered by thick clouds
(Camera goes up to see Gardevoir appear in a sparkling light, landing right next to the two girls, smiling pleasantly at the two before they raced after the boys.)
How we spend our days before isn't good enough
(Camera passes by still images of all the companions and gym leaders that he has met or will meet in the future, including Cypher at the end of the pictures, while Jackson, Lyanne, Leafeon, and the rest of his current team walked along the bottom of the screen.)
At full speed
We can blast through
Even the highest wall
(Team Rocket suddenly appears, with the four admins of Team Rocket standing together, with the images of their ace Pokémon at their side, and the satellite system right above them.)
Stand up for your dream!
(Jackson draws his sword, while Lyanne turns into her Latias form, and the rest of his team ready to fight together.)
Be enthusiastic at what you do, no matter what it is
(Jackson rushes forward as he slashes his blade against Team Rocket grunts, followed by a spin kick, sending them flying, while Leafeon leaps up and unleashes a forward somersault Leaf Blade, taking out their Pokémon.)
Push your way through to make an opening
(Weavile unleashes an Ice Punch as Dewott throws a Water Pulse at a different direction, followed by the pair unleashing simultaneous Night Slashes. Quilava leaps through their attack, going into a Flame Charge.)
No matter how far
The answer you're seeking is
Stand up for your dream!
(Scizor flies in, striking with a couple Bullet Punches before firing a Hyper Beam. Latias flies above him, unleashing a Mist Ball, sending it ahead. Gardevoir flew forward, using Psychic to catch the Mist Ball, spinning it around her before shooting it forward, adding a Moonblast alongside the attack, creating an explosion.)
Even if my feeling show weakness
Your voice that I hear close by
(In the burning Ecruteak City, a serious Jackson raced along the path with Leafeon and Quilava at his side, towards the two towers, where a deranged Ho-Oh and Lugia were at, unleashing Aeroblast and Sacred Fire onto the city.)
Gives me courage and strength
I can go the distance
(Jackson leaps high, landing on Latias's back as they flew off, with the rest of the team leaping with him before encased in a stream of their signature colors, before the screen turn white, with a crystal blue Pokéball with a gold and silver sword crossing behind it the only thing remaining.)
Several minutes after this, Jackson and Lyanne left the theatre, returning Dewott, Scizor, and Gardevoir to their balls, leaving Quilava and Leafeon out. "Things look really bad out here." Jackson noticed, looking about.
"No kidding." Lyanne agreed, "Lugia and Ho-Oh are destroying the entire town!"
"Jackson!" cried out a few voices. Jackson saw Morty and the three kimono sisters rush to him.
"Guys! What's the situation?!" the swordsman trainer asked.
"Ho-Oh and Lugia are still going out of control. I think even more so." Morty noted, "I think something must've happened to the devices Team Rocket used to control them."
"But how can that be?" Lyanne asked, looking to Jackson, "Cypher destroyed the sonar machines controlling them, right?"
"Maybe that's what's causing them to go out of control more." Jackson assumed, "If the device wasn't disarmed correctly, it could make them become more erratic than before."
"Wait, where's Weavile?" Leafeon asked, which Jackson asked Zuki and Morty.
"He's over there, still fighting Lugia." Morty answered, pointing to the area they were fighting at before. They looked to see the fighting take place, with Weavile jumping around Lugia's Dragon Rush attack, before twisting his body around and firing off his Ice Beam at it, causing minor damage as it soared back into the air.
"Whoa! When could Weavile do that?!" Quilava asked, shocked at the new move.
"Weavile, come back!" Jackson shouted to his partner far off.
Weavile turned to see Jackson, before looking up as his opponent unleashed Aeroblast again down at him. He used his speed to dodge the attack, but just barely. He flew a bit from the impact, and did a front flip, hopping hand over feet before landing neatly down and running to Jackson's side.
"That was incredible!" Lyanne stated.
"He was actually holding himself against a Legendary Pokémon!" Zuki stated, "Even my Umbreon and Morty's Gengar were no match for it. Weavile even learned a new move in the form of Ice Beam."
"That's incredible." Jackson stated, looking to his partner, "Good job. I'm proud of you."
"Thanks. But he is far too formidable to be taken down." Weavile pointed out.
"True. And with the machines destroyed, we can't do anything to stop them like this." the swordsman pointed out, looking to see Lugia and Ho-Oh flying about, unleashing attacks onto the city, "If only we could calm them down and bring them to their senses."
"I think we can do something." Naoko stated, coming out with Miki.
"What do you mean?" Morty asked.
The Espeon user looked to her sisters, saying, "We can use 'that' dance, and call upon someone who can calm her down."
"You mean... the Relic Song dance?" Kuni asked, surprised at the suggestion.
"Relic Song Dance?" Jackson echoed, "What will that dance do?!"
"It's a special dance that, if we do it correctly, summon out a Pokémon who is able to control the emotions of others." Zuki answered, looking to Jackson, "The mythical Pokémon of music, Meloetta."
"Meloetta?!" Lyanna echoed, "I'm familiar with that name. Jackson, I'm sure she will be able to calm them if we bring her here."
"You sure?" Jackson asked, "How do you know this?"
"I've learned about this from stories told by other Pokémon. Meloetta's voice can control the emotions of any Pokémon out there."
'A singer who can control emotions. Well, that's crazy enough to work.' Jackson told himself, looking to the Legendaries, 'But I still gotta at least try to calm them down myself, as well.' He looked to the dancers and asked, "How long do you need to perform the dance?"
"Well..." Sayo started, looking to her siblings.
"We are familiar with the dance, and have practice it before, but we've never truly performed it as one." Zuki stated, "Not only that, but it takes a lot of emotion and our prayers as we dance to call upon Meloetta. We're not sure we'll get it in the first try." The other girls nodded in agreement, looking nervous.
"I'll do what I can to evacuate the citizens." Morty told everyone, and he took off in a different direction.
"We'll get ready for the performance!" Zuki told Jackson, and the girls went back into the building.
"We already have the two Team Rocket executives tied up and restrained." Miki assured Jackson, "And Cypher already left by going out the back."
The girls exited as Jackson wondered what Cypher was gonna do. Was he just not gonna help at all?
"Jackson, what are we gonna do?" Leafeon asked. She, Quilava, and Lyanne all looked to him, wondering what his plan was in this moment.
He looked to the Legendary Tower Duo attacking the city, and made a quick answer to that question. "The Kimono Sisters didn't sound too confident on getting their performance right." he noticed, "I do have faith in them, but I say we should do our part to stop Lugia and Ho-Oh by getting to them, first!"
"We're what?!" Leafeon gasped.
"Leafeon, Quilava, Lyanne, let's go!" Jackson declared, and they raced towards where the rampaging Pokémon were.
Ho-Oh unleashed Sacred Fire at a building, blasting it to pieces. Rubble flew all about, and some was heading to a mother and daughter that were fleeing the city. They panicked as they saw it barreling towards them, when suddenly, large vines shot out of the ground, blocking the family as they whipped the rubble out of the way. They looked to see what happened, before looking to see Cypher standing there, with Meganium standing right by him.
"If you don't want to die, you'd better get out of here." He told the mother and daughter.
"O-Of course!" the mother answered.
"Thank you, mister!" the daughter thanked him, and they ran away.
Cypher watched them go, with Meganium looking to her trainer. He caught her gaze, and looked away, saying, "It was merely a good way to test out your Frenzy Plant. That's all." He walked away from his partner, and stopped after a few steps. He then looked back at Meganium, saying, "It wasn't too bad, Meganium. Good job."
Meganium looked amazed. This was the first compliment she got from her trainer since he took her. She didn't know how to feel about it. However, one thing did come across her heart; the praise felt nice.
"Let's get out of here. We've done enough damage." Cypher told Meganium. She cooed and nodded in agreement, before marching behind him.
Jackson was dashing forward quickly, running through the remaining people fleeing from the Tower Duo's damage. Quilava and Leafeon were right behind him, while Lyanne had no choice but to transform into Latias just to keep up with them. They got closer and closer to the pair, avoiding all the damage and was around them.
"Lugia! Ho-Oh! Stop this!" Jackson shouted, trying to get their attention. The shouting did work, as it got their attention. However, their eyes still showed their out of control rage they had. Lugia unleashed his Hydro Pump, while Ho-Oh shot Extrasensory at them.
"Jackson!" Leafeon and Quilava shouted, the former already charging up a Solarbeam by the time they got close, and blasting it to meet the Hydro Pump, while Quilava shot a Flamethrower at the Aeroblast. The two sets of attacks connected, pushing off of one another for a bit. However, the Legendary Pokémon's attacks were too much, and they got pushed back. Jackson and the three Pokémon got sent flying backwards from the attack, crashing to the ground behind.
"Damn it!" Jackson grimaced, turning to the Eon Pokémon, "Latias, are you okay?" She nodded in response. Jackson quickly though and decided that maybe her being here would be too much. After all, she did just have to deal with Cypher moments ago. It was better she would do something else, and thought of an idea.
"Listen, you need to go to the Kimono Girls, right away!" he ordered her, "Make sure that nothing disturbs that ceremonial dance of theirs. I'll hold these two off, okay?"
'Is he insane?!' Latias mentally asked, 'Why would he not want me here at this time?!'
Jackson pulled out the Pokeballs containing the rest of his team, and tossed them up, bringing out Weavile, Dewott, Scizor, and Gardevoir all around him. "You four! Protect Latias and the citizens!" he ordered, "Leafeon, Quilava, and I will do what we can, here!"
The Weavile, Dewott, Scizor, and Gardevoir looked at one another, worried. Jackson was asking them to basically leave him and only two of his Pokémon behind against two powerful and out of control Legendary Pokémon. They knew he was a tough trainer, and they knew the stories of what happened to Leafeon and Jackson in the other world, but they still had doubts.
"We'll protect Jackson." Leafeon assured them.
"We can hold them off, and do some damage to them as well!" Quilava added.
"The lives of the people are more important than ours, right now." Jackson told everyone, "Please, do this for me, you guys. I NEED you to do this." Jackson's mind whisked back to the day he truly lost his title as hero. The day when he sent one of Eggman's giant robots into a building, killing one too many people in the process. The day that still haunts him.
His look was all the other Pokémon needed to see. The four understood, and Weavile, Dewott, and Scizor divided up, going to different parts of town. Gardevoir looked to Latias floating there, her eyes connecting with Jackson for a few seconds. "Today isn't my day to die, Latias." he assured her, "We'll see each other after this. Then, we'll continue on our journey to get my eighth badge."
Latias paused for a second, then smiled as she nodded in understanding, and the two Psychic-types took off back the way they came, going towards the theatre once more. Jackson turned to the Legendaries in the air, readying his sword. 'I won't break that promise.' he told himself mentally, Leafeon and Quilava ready to fight. Ho-Oh and Lugia roared at Jackson, who pointed his sword up at them. Lugia unleashed Aeroblast at the trio, and they dashed forward, barely avoiding the attack.
In one part, Weavile leapt up, and used his Ice Beam to cool off the fire, and freeze burning buildings solid, making sure the fire didn't spread far. Allowing people to safely get around the flames that were in their way, getting them to escape the scene. "My Ice Beam is far more useful than my Icy Wind." he told himself.
He looked to the group of people who stood there, amazed at what he was doing. He then turned his back to them, and pointed one claw to the frozen path ahead, signaling everyone to cross. The people ran through, while Weavile had his back turned to them. He heard the thanks from the people as they passed, not giving any response to them. Appreciating as he was, he still had to continue his cool persona, and nothing was cooler than helping people without need to acknowledge or brag his actions. Still, this didn't hide the smirk he had on his face.
In another part, Dewott shot a Water Pulse that also doused the flames around him, but it wasn't doing a whole lot, especially when one tower-like structure fell in the pathway, causing people to panic as they were not able to get around it quickly enough without succumbing to the smoke. However, Dewott wasn't gonna let this go, and drew out his scalchops.
"I'll show you why I'm the master of Night Slash!" Dewott declared, "But at the same time, I have the pride of a Water-type! So I can do this!" He concentrated hard, utilizing all the training from Jackson, focusing his two attacks. He then produced Night Slash from his left scalchop, while the right one was producing Razor Shell. The two attacks were at the ready, and he launched forward while he had them available. With the speed and precision from his Night Slash, and the Water-type power of Razor Shell, he doused and slashed an opening through the tower, opening a path for everyone. Dewott dismissed his attacks immediately afterwards, shaking his head from the concentration he had to use for the attack. However, he was confident, smirking at his deed.
"I'd like to see Weavile do THAT!" he told himself, as people were starting to make their way through the now-open path.
Scizor was dashing about, using his Bullet Punch to break through debris, making paths for people to get through. He witnessed an elder couple trapped underneath burning debris, trying to huddle to prevent themselves from getting burned. 'I should make an opening for them.' he told himself, 'Sensei taught me to be aware of how things are. From what I can see, using Razor Wind would be ill-advised. The only thing I can do is create a hole for them without causing too much damage. The only way to do that is...'
He knew his tremendous weakness to fire, but remembered Jackson's words just moments ago. 'The lives of the people are more important than ours, right now.' Scizor took that to heart, and launched forward. He took the fallen burning beams, and pushed them upwards, enduring the sensitive heat on his pincers. He raised the beams, wincing as he looked to the people, who were shocked at his daring.
"Move!" he called out, knowing they couldn't understand him. Despite this, they got the message, and scrambled underneath him, making a break for it. As soon as they cleared, Scizor dropped the beams, and turned to flee, his claws in pain from the fire. However, he heard the beams started to break from the shifting he did, and they started to fall towards him. He crossed his arms, bracing for impact. However, there was a powerful red soundwave that blasted apart the beams before they got close. Scizor looked at the damage that was done, before looking at the deliverer of the attack, and saw someone flying above, hidden in the smoke from the flames. It was small, but Scizor could recognize the appearance. "Who?" he asked, surprised to see it there.
Latias and Gardevoir arrived at the theatre, the former transforming to her human Lyanne form. They arrived as the Kimono sisters were together on stage, with Zuki and Miki trying to demonstrate the dance.
"Okay, and we come in together at this moment." Zuki stated, spinning towards Miki.
"Hold on! Hold on! Didn't you miss a step before that?" Sayo asked.
"I think it was doing this BEFORE we spin into one another!" Naoko stated, pivoting one foot in front of the other, her arms shaping into an 'S' in front of her body, before spreading her arms out and spinning inward.
"You're right." Zuki agreed, "Okay, let's try it again."
"I hope they can get the dance down." Gardevoir muttered, "I feel uncomfortable being here and not by Jackson's side."
"I know." Lyanne agreed, "But they are doing what they can to stall for time until Meloetta appears." She stood there, watching the sisters work. Gardevoir looked to her, but saw her hands shaking. For all of her assurance, she was also scared to leave Jackson alone. All she can do was believe in him, and hope that the sisters would come to save him.
"Leafeon, Sunny Day!" Jackson shouted, "Quilava, Flamethrower!"
"I'll power you up, Quilava!" Leafeon shouted, setting the sun into the smoky sky. This helped both of them, activating both of Leafeon's abilities, while Quilava got a boost to his flames, and unleashed a deluge at Lugia, who roared in pain from the attack.
Ho-Oh glowed with an intense blue energy as it dove down at the trio of heroes. "That's Brave Bird!" Jackson noticed, and they dove to one side, barely avoiding the wings of the large bird that passed by. It crashed into a burning building, and soared to the sky once again. "Too close!" the trainer exclaimed.
"Look out!" Leafeon shouted, seeing Lugia shoot another Aeroblast at them. Unlike the last time, they got hit by the attack, and after trying to endure it, got sent flying, with Leafeon flying to one side, and Quilava and Jackson another direction. Leafeon tumbled to the ground, skidding to a halt, but got back up afterwards, grimacing in pain. Jackson and Quilava crashed into the debris from the building Ho-Oh went through. Despite their injuries, the two got back up, ready to continue.
"This isn't gonna be easy..." Quilava grimaced.
"Heh. I've dealt with worse." Jackson stated, brushing his shoulder of debris, "They ain't Legendaries for nothing." They charged together, as Lugia dove down with a Sky Attack, glowing with energy as it went low and shot at them. "Jump!" Jackson shouted, and the pair leapt up, with Quilava going into an Aerial Ace for a bigger boost. Lugia soared right underneath them as they flew, the energy almost pushing them even further above it. They landed on the ground as Lugia took to the sky again, ready to come around at them again.
Ho-Oh appeared from behind and unleashed Flamethrower down at Leafeon, who ran with all her Chlorophyll-boosting speed, outpacing the flames that billowed down at her. She jumped to a building, before bounding off of it and soaring into the sky, twisting her body as she readied a Solarbeam, firing it at her opponent, striking it in the head and stopping its attack. However, it got angry, and unleashed Extrasensory at Leafeon, who couldn't evade in time. However, Jackson was there, getting in the path, gathering up a gust of wind into his blade, before shouting, "Avian Espada!", sending a slicing cyclone to counter the Extrasensory, canceling them out, and causing the trainer and partner to land on the ground safely, Quilava next to them. All three of them were still dealing with the injury from the Aeroblast, but were not giving up.
"This battle ain't over yet!" Jackson roared, readying his blade once more, "I'm gonna bladin' continue on until either you go down, or our help arrives! Either way, we won't go down!"
"Hilt yeah!" Quilava answered.
"We're tougher than you realize!" Leafeon shouted.
Lugia dove down at them again, this time encased in a dragon-shaped aura. "A Dragon Rush!" Jackson noticed, "Leafeon, intercept with Leaf Blade!"
"I can't block it, but I'll parry it!" Leafeon shouted, jumping up and spinning into a backspin, her tail glowing green. Her attack met with Lugia's, and the attack was enough to send the Legendary over her, causing it to miss Jackson and Quilava as well.
'A head-on battle will end up in us losing. Gotta try talking some sense into them!' Jackson told himself, 'Calling from a distance didn't work, so let's try getting in close!'
He dashed toward Lugia as it stabilized itself in the air, activating his Extreme Gear for an extra boost. Quilava and Leafeon looked to Jackson, the latter shouting, "Jackson, you're not thinking of-!" However, her sentence got answered, as he flew up a fallen beam, and with a boost from his Air Shoes, he soared high, caught up with Lugia, and landed on its back just as it took into the sky once again.
Lugia felt Jackson on his back, and started to fly erratically to shake him off. Jackson got a good grip on Lugia's plates. "I've...dealt with...worse!" Jackson exclaimed.
Ho-Oh's demented eyes caught wind of Jackson on Lugia's back, and was about to unleash Flamethrower to strike him. However, its attack was stopped by Leafeon's Solarbeam and Quilava's Swift from the ground, the explosion creating smoke to impair Ho-Oh's vision.
"I hope Jackson knows what he is doing!" Quilava stated.
"You know him and his recklessness!" Leafeon stated, looking to Lugia, "I just hope it pays off!"
In the sky, Jackson went from plate to plate on Lugia, before wrapping his arms around his neck, and scrambling to Lugia's head, finding where his ears might be. "Lugia, you have to calm down!" Jackson pleaded, "You can't lose control like this! Think of the people in this town! They honor both you and Ho-Oh, and wanted to protect you from Team Rocket! This is not how to return the favor! Lugia, come back to us!"
Lugia's eyes started to get some sense into them, and he came to a standstill in the air. It looked like that Jackson's words were bringing him out of his crazed state. He smiled, believing he might've gotten through to him. However, this was short-lived, as the soundwaves that were echoing through his mind got to him, and he became deranged once more. He suddenly went out of control in the air, abruptly throwing Jackson from its back. He fell through the sky, seeing the broken building down below, with lord knows what he might land on. He was thinking of how to clear the path to a safe landing. However, he noticed something in the sky approaching his position. It was Latias, soaring from the theatre towards him. With speed and Jackson's reaction speed, he landed right on top of her as they soared upwards again.
"Thanks, Latias!" the swordsman trainer sighed in relief, "I thought I got through to Lugia, but it's just too out of it!"
"You did your best, Jackson..." Latias assured him. The two looked down to see Ho-Oh come at Leafeon and Quilava with another Brave Bird. The pair tried to counter with a Flame Charge and Iron Tail combo, but they were easily overwhelmed by the Legendary's attack, and got sent flying by the attack. They crashed to the ground, barely able to get back up from the damage they took.
'Leafeon... Quilava...' Jackson realized they couldn't do anything to stop them, either, before asking, "How's the dance going? Did they complete it, yet?"
"I think they got it." she answered in assurance, looking to the theatre.
Moments ago...
"Girls, let's do it." Zuki told her sisters, who nodded in understanding. Gardevoir watched from the entrance, having already seen them get the steps right. The five sisters stood in an arc on the stage, ready to dance.
(Insert YouTube 'Relic Song: Remastered - Pokémon Black & White Music' by Zame)
The five sisters began dancing together, using their graceful steps to dance as one, the music coming from the speakers in the theatre. Despite wearing kimonos and using some of their traditional dancing, they also added a sort of ballet into their dance routine, spinning and pirouetting as they performed their dance. They concentrated on the music, sending their wishes and hopes to the heavens above, praying for Meloetta to appear. Gardevoir watched them dance in awe, and decided to pray herself, wishing for Jackson to be protected and to save the Legendaries from their state.
Suddenly, a golden wave started to emanate from the area around the sisters. They looked amazed, but Zuki shouted, "Don't stop! We must continue the dance, no matter what!" The younger sisters understood, and continued to dance, the golden light shining into the sky above the theatre.
Outside, Jackson and Latias watched as the golden waves shot from the theatre, spreading all about Ecruteak City. Jackson's Pokémon down below stopped and looked up in amazement at the sight of the glow, as did the citizens of the city. Morty was among them, looking in awe. Ho-Oh and Lugia stopped as they looked about, wondering in their demented state what was happening.
Just then, Jackson heard a small voice, and looked to see something appear out of nowhere, flying towards them. It was a small, female-looking Pokémon, with blue eyes, a white face, green hair that had black lines like a music bar, and blue dots going along it. She had a treble clef-looking headpiece that looked like something a pop idol would wear, a blue jewel on its forehead, a black 'dress' that flowed down to one side, with a green stripe on the midriff, black hands and arms, and white legs.
"Who is that?" Jackson asked, pulling out his Pokédex, examining the approaching Pokémon. "Meloetta. The Melody Pokémon. It's melodies are sung with a special vocalization method that can control the feelings of those who hear it. Many famous songs have been inspired by the melodies that Meloetta plays."
'This is Meloetta?!' Jackson exclaimed mentally, before vocalizing, "Her singing can change a Pokémon's emotions? Then...she has the power into reach the hearts of those two Pokémon!"
The Melody Pokémon flew past Jackson as it went to both Ho-Oh and Lugia, who looked enraged and were about to attack her like they did to Jackson and his companions. Before they could act, Meloetta closed her eyes and started to sing a song to the both of them. Her voice immediately reach Jackson and Latias, who felt the tension in their hearts of the situation immediately vanish. It was the most beautiful and soothing voice Jackson had ever felt in his life. It calmed his mind and heart, and all he felt was awe at the sound of her voice.
Leafeon and Quilava heard Meloetta's voice, and it completely eased them just like it did to Jackson and Latias. Even the pains from the fight almost melted away. From beyond, the rest of Jackson's team, along with the citizens of Ecruteak City, heard Meloetta's songs, and their fears and woes were starting to vanish. Even Ariana and Archer, still bound up, and Cypher, stopped and were in awe at the music.
Eventually, Meloetta's voice was reaching into Ho-Oh and Lugia's hearts. The soundwaves that drove them insane were vanishing from their heads. Their pupils were starting to get back to normal again. They just flew there, looking down at Meloetta as she finished up her song. When her performance was over, Meloetta smiled as she opened her eyes, relieve to see the two Legendaries back to normal. She bowed to them, before flying over to Jackson and Latias.
"Thank you so much, Meloetta." Jackson thanked her.
"It wasn't a problem." she chimed back to him, "I was glad to help you and this town. Hope we meet again!" With these final words, she took off to the sun, which had already begun to set through the smoke, and vanished.
Jackson watched her leave, smiling and grateful that he was able to get her help. Suddenly, he heard a booming voice say, "You, human." He turned around and was startled to see that the Tower Duo had already drawn close to him and Latias.
"You have saved the two of us from our own insanity." Ho-Oh noted, "We can't thank you enough for all that you've done."
"We also honor your tremendous courage in the situation, facing us without any fears." Lugia added.
"I was glad to help you guys out." Jackson replied, smiling at them, "I REALLY hope this doesn't happen do you again."
"Perhaps...perhaps not." Lugia stated, getting Jackson's attention, "There is a swell of darkness peaking off in the future, but it is not ready to break out. When it does, it will be a power beyond what you have faced as of yet. You must be ready."
"Oh, don't you worry." Jackson replied, thumping his chest, "Me and my team, and Ly- er, Latias. We'll be able to stop this darkness, and save this and every other world."
"That is not possible." Ho-Oh counter-argued, much to the trainer's confusion, "You may have been brave enough to battle against us while we were driven insane, but this darkness is too strong for you to fight against. Unless you prove us wrong and have been selected, the best you can do...is simply stay out of the fight."
"However, should a time come and you are forced to battle against this darkness, human, you. Must. Run." The words were startling to both Jackson and Latias. It was a warning that came from two Legendary Pokémon, and based on how it felt, they knew that they were serious about the warnings. "You must never engage this enemy." Lugia finished, "No matter how strong you are, or how brave you may be, this darkness is nothing like you've faced. Take our words, human. For your sake and those close to you, do not engage."
Jackson's eyes are shadowed, thinking about what they had said. They were almost threatening him to basically back down and flee from the evil that seem to approach him. Latias's eyes looked to him, worried about how he would react. However, Jackson was thinking back to the Legendary Beasts, and their warnings. And from what he could guess, the darkness they were talking about...was the one he had seen from the Ruins of Alph and Celebi's vision.
"We have said enough." Lugia spoke up, "We apologize for all the damage we have caused. As a token of our apology, we shall do what we can for this town." Both Lugia and Ho-Oh took off, spreading throughout the city. Using their amazing powers, they doused the flames of the town. They healed the wounds brought upon them for all the humans and Pokémon. They pretty much did everything but repair the buildings they destroyed. Once they were done, they gathered back to Jackson and Latias, the former still thinking on their words.
"Should we ever meet again, I pray it is on better terms." Ho-Oh told Jackson, "And remember our warning well. Farewell." With that, it turned and flew towards the direction of its own tower, going passed it as it took to the sky.
Lugia looked to Jackson, seeing his expression for a moment, before turning around, saying, "I can feel the conflict in your heart, human. But trust us when we say you are far too weak to defeat a darkness such as this. Should it approach, you must run, no matter what. However, should you feel like to disregard our warnings, then be sure to grow stronger than as you are now. Then perhaps, if you are chosen, or among the chosen, then you can do your part. Goodbye." With these final words, Lugia took to the sky towards the Whirl Islands, where it vanished from sight.
Moments later, Jackson was back on the ground, sitting on a fallen beam, with Lyanne, Leafeon, and Quilava standing around him, looking worried.
"I'm glad that Ho-Oh and Lugia are fine again, and that we managed to save them from their crazed state." Quilava stated.
"Well, that was mostly Meloetta's doing." Lyanne argued, "But we did our part to help them out."
"Regardless..." Leafeon muttered, looking down, "What they were talking about...about the darkness that we must run from. That's a little gut-wrenching. It almost feels like it is something even they can't defeat. And...they're right. We stood no chance against Lugia or Ho-Oh as of right now. It took Meloetta's voice to calm them down. So a darkness that makes the Legendaries afraid? What choice do we have against something like that?"
The three Pokémon looked to Jackson, who stood up a second after Leafeon finished her speech. They wondered if the threat took a major blow to him. Here he was, trying to get stronger and become better than who he was in the past. To regain what he lost. The wish to become a hero again. His faith in himself might've been crushed by Ho-Oh and Lugia's warnings.
"Well...if there is such a darkness out there..." Jackson started, before looking ahead with a determined glare, "If this is something that our bravery and our strength are not enough to conquer, then we're just gonna have to improve even further!" That answer surprised the team.
Jackson turned to his first Pokémon, saying, "Leafeon, remember way back when, when we fought Clair and lost epically to her? That's basically the same thing that is happening now. We were totally helpless to completely stop Lugia and Ho-Oh ourselves. And they are telling us not to confront this darkness that, from what I gathered, they even cannot stop. But look at how far we have come. We're gonna go back to facing Clair again, and this time, we are far, FAR stronger than we were the first time around. Through training together, bonding, learning to understand and how to overcome adversity, we got this strong. So who's to say we can't get even stronger than that, to even give Ho-Oh and Lugia a run for their money. And who is to say THAT level of strength cannot be further improved?"
He walked past his team, his back turned to them as he saw the twilight sky, continuing, "If this world has taught me anything, is that I can do more than just go back to who I once was. I can surpass that. I can get stronger, smarter, braver. And not just me..." he turned to his three companions, smiling as he finished, "But all of us. We'll get stronger that we can even give this darkness a run for its money. Heh! I've faced all kinds of darkness before. What's one more to rise up to? I'm really gonna blade things up a notch, and then some!"
Jackson's words connected with his friends and teammates, and they smiled and understood. Jackson wasn't taking the warning in dismay. He was taking it as a challenge. He wasn't running away, like he was before. This time, he was taking on the evil that was gonna surface, and rise up to the occasion.
"Aren't you afraid, at all?" Lyanne asked with curiosity, "This IS a darkness that makes Ho-Oh and Lugia afraid."
"Well, yeah. Why wouldn't I be afraid?" Jackson asked in a 'matter of fact' tone, "I mean, being afraid means you have something you don't want to lose, and that means you are alive."
"Rather poetic of you, Jackson." Leafeon sarcastically stated.
"I'm just quoting something the masters at Ryouzanpaku taught me." Jackson argued, smirking at her.
"Jackson!" called out a few voices, and the team turned to see Dewott, Weavile, Gardevoir, and Scizor racing towards them.
"You're all safe!" Quilava stated.
"Of course we are!" Dewott answered in a prideful tone, "You didn't think we'd be taken down so easily, would you?"
"He was just being considerate of our safety." Weavile noted.
"Who asked you?!" Dewott demanded.
"Now, now." Gardevoir told him.
"As a matter of fact, I almost didn't make it, myself." Scizor pointed out as the four came to a halt in front of Jackson and the others, "But I was saved by somebody."
"You were?" Jackson asked, "Who was it?"
"It was me!" called out a voice from above. Jackson was surprised, as he knew the voice. He and everyone else looked up to see a familiar figure in the air, before he flew down to reveal himself to the team. All but Scizor, Gardevoir, and Lyanne knew him personally.
"Ledian!" Jackson and Leafeon greeted in both shock and excitement.
"Long time, no see!" he answered, waving two of his four hands at them, happy to see his old trainer and his friends again.
