Leon and Arthur quietly scaled the wall outside the prince's chambers.

"Leon once we're down I must go speak to Gaius he will figure out what we should do. While I do that you must go get your brother do you know where my uncle is keeping him."

"My brother is in his own chambers with two guards outside his door awaiting Agravaine's instructions."

"Do your best to get him out then meet me in the forest and we'll regroup there."

Leon nodded as he reached the ground and helped his friend down as well. "If you hear the warning bells I have failed and you must go on your own."

Arthur laughed. "You are an idiot. I will not leave you I will wait in the forest for you and your brother."

Leon nodded his thanks before trying to make his way back into the palace unseen.

Arthur could see the irony in sneaking into his own castle and he wasn't finding it amusing. He soon reached his destination having stealthily avoided the guards. Although there weren't that many. He should really consider adding more guards, but at the moment he was okay with the lack of security. Arthur not wanting to push his luck by staying out in the open for long knocked softly at the physicians chamber.

"Gaius? Gaius can you open up. It's Arthur."

The door creaked open slightly as Gaius made sure it was really the prince.

"Sire?" Gaius quickly closed the door and unlatched it before opening it completely and letting Arthur in.

"What are you doing here Sire?"

"It's difficult to explain and this might seem… well unbelievable and may be bordering on treason, but I ask that you please believe me. I need your help Gaius."

Gaius pointed at his work bench. "Sit." Arthur complied. "Tell me everything."

Leon made his way towards his brothers chambers and quickly hid behind an alcove to see the guards. While he knew that he could probably take both of them with one arm tied behind his back he was also aware that the racket that it would make would lead to the alarm bells being rung and guards chasing after him. No, he needed to do this quietly. Quickly making up his mind he made his way towards the armory for another weapon. A quieter one.

"Lord Agravaine is trying to kill you? Are you absolutely sure?"

"Yes Gaius! Leon has told me everything."

"Of course. I never did trust your uncle. Neither did your father, but that's another matter where is Sir Leon?"

"He has gone to save his brother."

"Right that's good. You should meet up with him and go."

"So, you think I should leave? Abandon Camelot?"

"Arthur if your uncle means to kill you he shall conjure up any story that would strike at your chance for the throne. This coup has him with the upper hand if you and Leon leave you will distort his plans."

"Won't that just make me seem guilty?"

"For what? You haven't done anything wrong?"

"I know that but my uncle will surely make up some charade so that it seems I am."

"You must then put your trust in the people. In your men. They have seen the real you they will know your uncle is lying."

"No. I can't. Gaius this is wrong. This was my father's kingdom. My kingdom and I shall not abandon it. What if… What if I tell the council. I can go to their rooms plead my case. If you believe me surely the council will as well."

"I feel that may not be the best course. What if your uncle has already thought of that. What if this coup extends beyond your uncle and onto members of the royal court."

"No. They can't. Could they?"

"This is why you should go. While your gone I will try and discover just how many of the lords side with him. Not only that but I could lead him astray if he comes close to catching you."

"You would do that. Of course, you would. I do not know what I have done to warrant such loyalty."

"Nonsense my loyalty has always been with you and your father, have no doubt about that. Now you should leave, but don't worry it won't be forever. Once the time is right you can return and reclaim your place on the throne. I will do my best here to keep an eye on Agravaine."

"Thank you Gaius. I have always looked up to you since I was a boy and I am grateful for your friendship."

"Your family will always have my loyalty and friendship. You should go. I remember that Sir Leon's family have an estate not far from here in Dorchester. You should go there for now."

"We will for now. Thank you, again, Gaius. I should go."

Gaius nods before making his way to his pantry and handing Arthur a sack which he filled with food.

"Goodbye Arthur."

Arthur nodded before quietly making his way out. He should go meet Leon in the forest.

Leon took his shot before quickly reloading his crossbow and shooting the other guard. He made sure his shot wouldn't kill them they were innocent in this. Just men of Camelot like him taking orders. He pushed them aside as he entered his brother's chambers.

"Leopold!"

"Leopold we must go."

Leon sighed before making his way to the bed. As he pulled the blanket back he gasped as he saw the lifeless eyes of his brother staring back at him. He turned to look down at his brother's hand to see he was clenching something. After a quick inspection he saw that it was hemlock. Poison. No. He couldn't have. It was Agravaine it must be.

Leon closed his brothers eyes.

"I am sorry brother Agravaine will pay for this. I swear I will help bring him to justice."
