At a makeshift Doctor's Office…

Lelouch was stunned by his diagnosis.

No, no this couldn't be right. This had to be some sort of mistake!

"That can't be right. This can't be." Lelouch denied the diagnosis that was presented to him.

"We tested you three times, and the results were all the same," Rakshata confirmed the test results while Sayako saw Lelouch was beginning to have a panic attack.

"But-but it can't be! I was so careful, I made sure-!" The exiled prince stuttered with the shock of all of what he was told.

"Master, try to think about it. Was there a time you and your consort didn't use protection, that you forgot to?" The nurse soothingly wondered, trying to help him.

No, no that wasn't possible! He was never careless when they-!

Wait.

He was careless. He was only careless once when they first…

Oh no.

Lelouch curled up into himself as he was starting to realize the truth while the nurse came to the child to comfort him. So many people see Zero, she Lelouch as a powerful, brilliant flawless being that they forget that he is still a teenager, a teenager capable of weaknesses, pleasures, insecurities, and everything else that comes with being a teenager. He was scared, and confused, blaming himself for succumbing to natural urges without realizing the consequences and the natural (Even if it was highly unlikely) fear that Suzaku might abandon him, even the boy would never do such a thing.

She hugged the boy to give him some comfort in the difficult situation they were in.

It wasn't a bad thing, but the timing was definitely not good, not with a messy war going on and everyone is after Zero's head.

"Master Lelouch, do you want this?" The nurse wondered while Lelouch looked stunned by her words.

"Sayko, there is a war going on, Zero is needed, my sister has a death warrant on her head, and my men, Suzaku-."

"Lelouch, do you want this?"

Sayko then looked at the boy as he was stunned that she called him Lelouch, not Master. Lelouch took a moment to think about what she was saying, what she was trying to tell her. The hero tried to use logic for the reasons not to, this is not a good place, a good time to be in this world and Lelouch was needed. But then… he thought about it, thought about the new life, the thought of abandoning it of denying it life, it was too much. Her own father abandoned him and Nunnally so long ago…

No, no he won't do the same.

He won't destroy something so beautiful.

"I-I want this?" Lelouch admitted while caressing his stomach.

"Are you sure, Zero?" Rakshata wondered but she shushed up when the maid gave her a nasty glare.

"I do."

"If you want this, then we can make this work. We will be here every step of the way to make sure you get what you need. What they need." She promised him as she knew her master would need help getting through this, "The first thing you certainly must do is inform Master Suzaku."

"I know. I know." Lelouch breathed, "I think I need to practice first."

In Lelouch's room…

Lelouch was trying to practice what he would say to Suzaku in the mirror while Sayako and Nunally (She overheard when her brother was speaking with Sayako about how to go about it.) were watching him.

"Big brother, it will be okay. Suzu will be there for you and for the little one. He would never leave you." Nunnally tried to encourage, thrilled about the future and what her role was going to be.

This was the best news she had received since this nightmare began, a small glimmer of light in the entire world of darkness.

"He will or I will make sure he will never repeat what has happened again." Sayako declared while sharpening her blades.

"Miss. Sayako."

Lelouch chuckled at his nurse's protectiveness and his sister's excitement, it brought him some comfort on how things were changing for not just him, but soon people all around him, maybe even the world itself.

"Okay… here goes… Suzaku, remember when we first... No. Suzaku, the reason I have been unwell… No! Suzaku, I need to tell you… I need to tell you… Suzaku, I. am. Pregnant! Yes, okay! Now I'm ready-."

CRASH!

The three then turned around to see Suzaku, bulging eyes, jaw slacked open, statue still, and a tray of whatever he wanted to bring to his love left spilled all over the floor. He heard everything. He heard what Lelouch said and now he was right there.

"Suzaku?" Lelouch uttered, hoping he would respond.

He did not respond.

"Suzu?" Nunnally tried, hoping that Suzaku would say something.

He still did not respond.

"Master Suzaku? Are you alright?" Sayako attempted, didn't want her masters to stress over the shellshock boy, and get worried about him herself.

He toppled over.

"Suzaku!" Lelouch gasped as he rushed to his lover's side in hopes of helping him.

In the living room…

"You're pregnant?!" Chiba gasped in shock!

"You're having Suzaku's baby?!" Euphemia gasped!

"Kururugi fainted?! That is so weak!" Tamaki scoffed while Lelouch placed a damp rag over Suzaku's forehead while he slept on the couch.

"Zero, how could you be so careless? What's going to happen with the rebellion and the war? We need you in the front to lead us!" Oghi voiced.

"Oghi, stop it! It doesn't matter right now! What matters is protecting Zero and the baby, we can manage what do after we get our house in order." Toudoh scolded his friend.

"And if anything, be mad at Kururugi. He was the one to forget about protection." Kallen added while she crossed her arms, angry with the boy.

"I think, he's waking up." Euphie pointed out as the knight was waking up from his slumber.

"Oof, what happened?" Suzaku mumbled while he tried to shake from his sleep.

"You fainted after your girlfriend was practicing in trying to tell you that he was pregnant," Tamaki answered rudely.

"Tamaki…" Toudoh scolded.

"Wait, Lulu, you're having my baby?" As Lelouch felt a little happiness calling them his baby, Suzaku realized, "What am I doing on the couch then? Lulu should be the one resting, while I tend to her."

Lelouch soon found himself on the couch while Suzaku was holding his hands.

"Lulu, I promise you, I am going to take care of you and the baby for the rest of my life and protect you both from the world," Suzaku promised his princess his Night Angel Among Sunflowers.

Lelouch never felt more happier than at that moment.
