In the Meditation Room at Hexside…
'Twas a treat for the young generations of witches to be granted a lesson in meditation by Kikimora herself; for she is one of the most prominent members in the art of meditation.
Meditation was vital to witchcraft as it heightened and strengthened magic within them, their connections to the energy of their realm, and to others around them. It is when harmony is uncovered can the light glimmers. Meditation was a requirement in all magical studies and the greatest of the great meditation for the mind becomes sharpened and the soul becomes stead. Of course, as with magic, there are many, many forms of meditation.
"For this lesson, we will start with the common and starting mediation, Palisman Guidance. For this type of trance will bring inner discovery and balancing, you will be led by your Palisman in darkness, focusing only on your palisman with no distractions or stray from the path. Only then will your world be brightened and your mind to clear to accept knowledge and enlightenment." Kikimora heavily advised the class she was temporarily teaching, "Now, I am aware that some of you do not have Palismans and that is okay for substitutions have been provided for your lessons to continue."
Luz was given one of her father's palisman, Pudding the Abomination Palisman. She looked at her friends who had their palisman out as well as her cousins. They were excited to finally begin their lessons in mediation and to see what their older family members saw. This would be difficult as total concentration does not start naturally, but with practice, the three parts of magic can be heightened, body, mind, and soul.
"Alright, everyone full lotus and present your staffs outside your laps."
Everyone did as she said.
"Now, close your mind and let yourself drift into the darkness…"
Luz did so as she allowed herself to become empty and ready to be filled with what the universe had to offer…
"Now, close your mind and let yourself drift into the darkness…"
"Now, close your mind and let yourself drift into the darkness…"
"Now, close your mind and let yourself drift into the darkness…"
…
Luz Noceda opened her eyes to see only Pudding hooting at her in his palisman form… she followed him into the darkness, each step glimmering with light and energy. Her world was slowly beginning to open for her. But as she was crossing through the lands of shadow…
Visions began to appear in her mind.
Demona!
A tree?
Laughter of a child!
Sigils
And an eclipse!
Everyone was screaming!
There is fire and a giant monster!
Day of Unity!
Day of Unity!
"Luzura! Luzura!" Kikimora shouted as it caused the princess to wake up from her trance, coated in sweat, "Oh dear… Are you alright?"
"I'm-I'm okay… Just had a bad dream." Luz answered.
"Maybe you should go to the nurse's office and get some rest. I didn't mean for mediation to become intense for you." Kikimora advised as she led the princess out of the room, while her friends and cousins were eavesdropping.
At the Nurse's office…
Luz was taking a nap as the nurse presented the descriptions of what she described.
"Short and choppy but there is no doubt. These were visions." The nurse confirmed and then handed over the report.
"I would think she would be so young and half human she wouldn't…"
"We also have to consider the titan blood in her will have a stronger effect on her connection with the demon realm."
The councilwoman grunted as she looked deeply troubled.
"Day of Unity… What could that mean?"
Mr. Top Hat whimpered at those words.
"Maybe the emperor of the Coven Heads does. In the meantime, we should arrange private mediation sessions so Princess Luzura can be closely monitored and maybe even help her control them."
"Sounds good."
The group quickly hid as Kikimora passed by with the report.
"Woah, Luz had visions? Only advanced witches can have visions." Gus gasped.
"Yeah, and whatever they are, they aren't good. Not good at all." Hunter hummed.
"Day of Unity… What does that mean?" William wondered as a bad feeling sunk into his gut.
It seemed trouble would be coming ahead very soon.
