Luz was a princess who had more troubles than any other princess I knew.
All day she spent trying to piece together her family's history and the secrets behind Philip Wittebane. But I knew what was really troubling her, romance. With my final effort, I hope I can bring her and Amity together…
At the Owl House…
Luz was still looking through the Echo Mouse's journals and the archives that her father brought her.
Dr. Philip Wittebane, the Puritan Doctor who came to this world with his brother the carpenter, Calab Wittebane, and the nun who helped at the first church of the settlement, Sister Marianne Soulbird. These guys seemed to travel a lot and learned so much. His inventions and theories showed how far he could have taken the islands but that left the question… what happened to them?
"It's weird for someone just to disappear like that," Luz muttered to herself as she had so much on her mind.
And it was not the mystery of her family or the Blood Crusaders' return. No, her mind was on a witch she fell in love with, Amity. Amity, she was originally a bully to her, then they began to understand one another, then became friends, and now…?
She wasn't so sure…
Luz wanted more… maybe… she wasn't so sure. Maybe they should stay friends, maybe they could keep going… ugh it was so confusing! She didn't know how to go about this! She's not smooth like her cousins or father. They know just what to say, how to set the mood, what to do, and she… she just didn't. How can she get something like that off her chest?
"I wonder if you ever had romance problems, Great Ancestor Dr. Philip. I bet you knew how to speak to the ladies." Luz sighed as she looked at the image of her relative, bummed that she didn't know a thing about courting.
Yep, Princess Luzura was really in a pickle and a nosy little Owl Worm Demon wanted to help give her that little push she needed.
She suddenly realized that her body was hungry for something.
Luckily Hooty brought her something to eat. Cookies were the best thing to gobble while researching, her Daddy would scarf on a whole jar of organic lactose-free peanut butter blossom cookies and almond milk (She gets her lactose intolerance from her father, who gets it really bad) which was surprising since her father is such a health nut. Oh well, everyone is allowed to indulge once in a while. A little snack helps go a long way when you are doing research.
She took a bite and then realized what was going to happen right away.
Should have seen this coming… her father has done this trick on her cousins for years.
Luz then fell asleep as Hooty began his plan.
Near the Owl House…
Blueberry Parfait sighed as she knew what it was like when love was so difficult, especially since disappointment discouraged that love.
She can tell that Hooty was doing his best to help his friends, trying to be better himself. But not everything will go his way and sometimes… sometimes mistakes could be made. Blue then began to have an understanding of that. She herself made mistakes in the past… things she could never forget. This old palisman has done things she wished she could take back but…
Maybe she should talk to Hooty…
"NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Or maybe she should intervene.
Hooty was becoming hysterical and crying as the entire Owl House was rumbling and crumbling! Hooty was wailing with regret and shame!
"I COULDN'T HELP ANYONE! I FAILED YOU ALL! I FAILED YOU!" He thundered with sorrow as King appeared from one of the windows in the tower!
"Hooty, calm down, you Ding Dong!" King shouted at the demon worm!
"I RUINED ALL OF YOUR LIVES! I DON'T DESERVE TO BE A MEMBER OF THIS FAMILY! NO MORE SHALL MY ODIOUS PRESENCE INFEST THIS HOUSE!" He howled and then tried to commit a form of suicide by pulling himself from the house where all his vital organs were, "OUT! OUT! OUT WITH YOU, VILE CREATURE!"
"Hooty, stop! If you do this, you'll die!" Blue pleaded to the owl as she transformed into her human form!
"LET MY TERRIBLE EXISTENCE END AND FREE THE WORLD OF THIS GRUESOME BEAST!" Hooty shrieked with grief, while Blue gasped at his words.
"Hooty, you can not mean these words!"
Hooty then suddenly stopped, Blue hoping that her words would reach him.
It did not.
"Looks like I'm doing this the hard way."
The entire house rumbled more violently! Everyone from the Owl House and Amity came outside as Hooty was losing his mind! Eda, in her new form, was trying to calm him down.
"Eda, you look great!" Luz marveled at her mentor's newest form.
"I see that my Witch's words finally reached your thick head." Blue chuckled at Eda.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, we can talk about you being right later. We gotta calm down Hooty." Eda advised.
"I am with you. Let's go." Blue agreed and flew with Eda and King.
Eda and King explained that Hooty did help them in a way and what he did was good. But he only countered that he still failed Luz. Maybe a feminine touch was needed for this solution.
"I have a plan, Edalyn." Blue smiled as she whispered about the plan.
"Sounds good to me."
With a little effort and skill, they helped Hooty set out what he was trying to do and helped Luz express what was in her heart and Amity felt the same way. Hooty could not be happier.
At the Owl House present time.
Afterward, Blue forgave me and told Amity that the emperor would be expecting them as a formal introduction to courting his princess. Hoot-Hoot, it looked like everything went right and I was able to help everyone.
Talk to you soon.
Your buddy, Hooty.
Hooty then had the mail sent while someone snuck to the mailbox and placed a letter to King… only for Hooty to eat it.
