Previously on Griffin's Prophecy
"AHHHHHHH! GET OF M…!"
He stopped dead in his tracks and his blood ran cold as the voice was of a girl. He turned running in the direction of the voice. He followed what sounded like someone struggling and a table falling.
He turned a corner into the corridor only to see Crabbe and Goyle standing in front of an empty classroom door. At that moment Harry lost all his Relaxed attitude as the warrior side of him took over. His Holly wand was in his hand as he aimed casting "STUPEFY!" "STUPEFY!" hitting the two bouncers like students square in the chest.
He moved forward to the Door he tried to open it but it was spelled shut. He hear a very familiar male voice and then the female voice became more frantic. Dreading the scene behind the door he aimed his wand at the door and sending every ounce of power, he yelled "BOMBARDA!"
The spell blew the hardwood door apart in the room as Harry entered high on adrenaline and worry but the sight he saw turned his worry into the unbridled rage as he watched 5 of 7th year Slytherin boys out of which two were knocked out from the door exploded others he recognized were Terrence Higgs, Theodore Notts,, and Marcus Flint.
Other than them in the room were 2 girls on the table their clothes torn as Marcus and Terence were standing with their pants down and in between girls legs. It was then that he noticed it was Daphne Greengrass and Tracy Davies.
All three were facing him there wands drawn and pointed at him. At that moment, Hogwarts thrummed. He was quick to cast 'Protego!' shielding himself from the coming curses. He saw one he didn't recognize so he dodged it.
"Look what we have here, Gryffindor golden boy! Harry Potter playing the hero as always but that ends today!" Flint sneered sending a blood-boiling curse. Harry once again rolled before sending an overpowered banishing charm at the Heir of House Flint, which knocked him out as he hit the wall behind him.
The spell struck true but he caught a cutting coming his way from Higgs just in time for him to swivel to his left. Still,, it clipped him on his right upper chest. Wincing a little he sent a "Percutio!" which hit the shin of his Slytherin senior who went down wincing but not before firing an overpowered reductor curse which hit the floor sending the debris all over the place.
Between the dust cloud Harry's stunner hit Higgs square in the chest. Turning to face the last senior Harry saw a bone-breaking curse coming towards him. He was too neat to dodge and it was aimed towards his wand arm. So thinking quick he slide to the right making the curse impact his left shoulder. He stifled his scream as he levitated the debris around and banished them towards Notts. But he simply rolled to right and threw up his shield following his dueling instinct.
He knew it won't work against the Dueling champion of the year but it was never meant to. It was a distraction to his main offense which was 'Malleus Eruptis" followed by 'Expelliarmus' 'Stupify' 'Incarcerous"
Theodor Notts underestimated his opponent and was overconfident that he could take the 4th year anytime that's what cause his downfall, as his shield shattered, he was unarmed, stunned,, and bound in rapid succession.
As the threats were dealt Harry moved over to two girls who were bound on the table and silenced. He cast 'Finite Incantatum' removing their bounds and silencing charm on them before transfiguring their tattered robes into decent ones while looking away.
He noticed Daphne fainted from the exhaustion of everything that happened on the table while Tracey looked at him and gave a tired smile saying "T-sniff-thank you- Harry- we were….."
He stopped her in between saying "Tracey, we can do this later but for now all three of us should make our way to the infirmary. I am worried about Daphne she is not moving and he…" he winced slightly before continuing "….r breathing is really shallow"
Tracey nodded and both left the room with Daphne levitated in the air behind Tracey. He stopped saying "I am going to inform Professors you go ahead"
Tracey nodded and started walking in the direction of the infirmary. He aimed his wand at his left shoulder casting 'Torridus!' a numbing charm as he strutted to the Great Hall.
Entering the hall he raised alarms as he was covered in mud and dust, he also forgot the cut on the right side of his chest.
"Harry!" came a voice from the Gryffindor table it was Hermione and Neville who made their way to him.
"What happe…" Hermione asked only to be cut by Harry who said "I will tell you later mine but for now I need to speak with Professor Mcgonagall"
The said Scot woman was walking towards him looking worried out of her mind seeing the boy she considered her grandson in such state again. Before she could ask anything Harry asked "Professor can please throw a privacy charm around us?" the seriousness of the question made McGonagall agree in an instant. She cast 'Muffliato!"
Harry relayed to her everything that happened. She huffed in anger before calming herself and saying "I will inform Severus he w-" but he cut her off saying "No Professor, right now they are on their way to infirmary and they have experienced no women should so I will not allow Professor Snape near them cause I know how he is when it comes to protecting Slytherins even if they are at fault" the elderly witch reluctantly agreed to his logic. She sighed saying "Alright Mr. Potter but I have to Inform Headmaster so we can resolve this in an orderly fashion"
He bit his tongue as he knew it was the futile cause once Dumbledore knows Snape will know too but he couldn't do anything more so as McGonagall made her way back to the head table he turned only to see Hermione and his friends looking at him in worry, he noticed Fleur who was just Coming with Susan and Hannah beside her.
All ladies looked at him in mixed levels of worry, before Fleur ordered "Infirmary NOW!" in a stern tone as she looked at the gash on his chest and his limp shoulder. Hermione, Neville and Hannah left behind know they need some time between three of them.
They reached the infirmary only to see a Distraught Tracey sitting beside her best friend who was unconscious
Before he could ask anything Pomfrey came and dragged him to his usual bed saying "I can't understand why in merlin's name would you not come straight here when you have a broken shoulder and are bleeding so much you are about to faint Potter" as she waved her wand all over him.
"Good work with the numbing charm on the shoulder," said Poppy as she healed gash on his chest before sighing "I have to vanish your shoulder and then regrow them so you are here for the night Potter"
Harry looked at Daphne's sleeping face on the bed beside him as he said "I was just in time if I was late she would have suffered what I saved you from that day Fleur both of them were… about….to be….."
Fleur who was standing beside his bed watched as her boyfriend shuddered at the thought of the worst happening. She leaned over, hugging him and saying "But, it didn't happen mon amour, you were there for them just like you were there for me" trying to bid his worry. It worked as she saw his worry was replaced by rage.
Susan saw her fiance's eyes filled with pure rage. She knew it was righteous but needed to be calmed before he did something rash. So she made her way to another side of the bedside blocking his vision of Daphne.
She cupped his face saying "I know, you want to tear the bastards into pieces but it won't help anyone, you know what you did was enough now you need to rest and heal. Then comfort those two okay?"
His Rage was replaced by usual warmth as he nodded kissing her saying "Thanks Sue"
They hear a gasp from Poppy as she finished diagnostics on Daphne. Which made Harry ask "What happen is everything alright Poppy?"
The matron snapped at him "It's Madam Pomfrey in the public young man and no nothing is okay this stupid girl used an old spell on herself which has consequences now" she took a deep breath calming herself as she explained "The spell is an anti-rape spell used long ago by witches or noble queens to protect them from worst fate. It essentially kills the witch if she is penetrated and her Hymn is broken unwillingly. But the unknown part of this spell is that if saved by someone the magic binds her and her savior for life"
Hearing this Harry went pale as he heard that Daphne's Magic was bound to his. He looked at Fleur and Susan who were also shocked, Poppy continued "Her situation is much more complicated. One as she was penetrated only an inch the spell stopped as you saved her which also invoked the life debt. Firstly, she is essentially in a limbo of her spell only way to break it is for you to accept her magic by….."
Poppy got a little pink dust on her cheeks as she continued "..kissing her, she doesn't have much time please decide what you want to do before its too late. Secondly,, a life debt is only cleared when by two ways either she marries you or saves your life as you did. I will leave you alone as it looks like you have a lot to decide Mr. Potter" with that she left them alone
Harry looked at Fleur and Susan, asking "What do you want me to do ?"
The question struck both young witches like knight bus, they both already knew what was the right thing to do but they already were sharing him with 4 other witches and now one more would make it even more difficult but no matter how selfish they wanted to be the couldn't let a person die for their gains so both shared a looked before to turning to harry and saying "Do it"
Harry nodded as he got out of his bed and made his way to Daphne. Seeing him Tracey came pleading "please Harry save her I will do anything if you want I will give you my…."
Before she could complete Harry said "No! You don't have to I will save and take good care of her I promise" with that he stood near the headrest and looked at Fleur & Susan who gave a nod. So he leaned in and captured Daphne's lips with his. As he did a blinding light enveloped both of them as emerald green danced with a dark purple in the air as all occupants of the infirmary watched in awe at the light mingled for minutes before they vanished leaving residual magic filled with warmth in the atmosphere.
Still lip-locked with brunette lying on the bed he felt as he was kissed back so he broke the kiss and stood back looking at Fleur and Susan as he felt extremely guilty his gaze shifted as he looked down on the floor, Fleur and Susan caught this but stood still as they saw Daphne's eyes flutter open.
Daphne looked around trying to remember where she was through her blurry vision she made out visage of her friend Tracey and also a boy standing by her bedside, that's when everything came back to her she was cornered by 7 boys who tried to rape her and Tracey, she why all this happened, it was because she has been rebuffing Draco Malfoy since the second year. She knew after Christmas he will do something. So as a precaution she applied an old spell to herself, today Flint entered about an inch but then…..
Her eyes widened as she now knew who the boy standing at her bedside was Harry Potter.
Tracey launched her arms around her friend and both of them had a good cry. As they broke apart Daphne looked a the boy who saved deep blue met green and she said "Thank you for saving us I will-" before she could complete Fleur cut her "Excuse moi, can we talk in private as we 'ave something to tell you"
Daphne nodded and Poppy who came back with a vial of potion said " you are fine overall, take this calming potion" before she turned to Trracey saying "Ms. Davies please follow me i will get you treated" to which Tracey nodded. Daphne took the potion in one swig after which Fleur drew the screens and casted a "Muffliato!" around herself Harry, Susan and Dpahne.
Daphne asked "So what is this about?"
Susan asked "Greengrass did you know the effects of the spell you used?"
Daphne nodded saying "I did Bones, It would kill me and if I w-" her eyes widened as she caught on to what she was referring to.
She turned to Harry and gave him a small smile which he returned making her blush as she turned back to Fleur and Susan asking "So I am to marry him aren't I?"
Fleur nodded saying "Oui, you and 6 others"
At this Daphne was taken back as she asked "6 others!... but how?"
Susan answered "He loves Fleur so she is one, he has a contract with Black family and Bones family by which he is to marry me, my aunt, Bellatrix, and Nymphadora, there is one more but that will tell later when we can trust you so here it is"
Daphne looked at Harry who was looking extremely pale as she asked "You don't even know me, why did you save me?"
Harry gave a weak smile saying "I can never ignore a cry for help and besides I did what was right"
"Daphne, we are telling you all zis cause you are part of it but you can't tell anyone about zis Oui?" asked Fleur. Daphne gave a questioning look but nodded.
Harry caught on to it "I know you are confused why we have to keep it a secret but it's for your own safety as I don't want anything to all of you because of me" she nodded in understanding
As they dropped the privacy charm and screens, they were greeted by professor Dumbledore, McGonagall Snape, Sprout, and Flitwick.
Before any of them could say anything Harry stepped forward looking at McGonagall saying "Professor I think, I explicitly said that it would be better that Snape was not here for this"
Dumbledore fast to correct saying "It's Professor Snape Harry and he has to be here as he is their House Head"
Harry saw Snape had a smug face but didn't falter as he said "Okay professor if he is going to be here then he will talk to me and me only not with Daphne or Tracey cause I was there to see what happened and I don't want them to relive that horror"
Before Dumbledore could argue McGonagall answered, "I think that is acceptable Mr. Potter."
Harry smirked as he saw Snape's smug look wear off as he started to describe the events but left the part about Daphne's spell and life debt out of it.
After listening to this Snape sneered "I don't think any of those accused would do such things. It's better if you tell the truth Potter"
Harry looked the man in the eyes saying "I don't think its beneath him to do such horrendous things"
Snape flinched under his gaze and to that Harry turned to Dumbledore "Sir, I don't think the Slytherin house is safe for them as such I ask for them to be resorted"
Before either Dumbledore or Snape could protest, with a bright red-orange flames the Fawkes appeared. The bird trilled with Sorting Hat in its Talons, he did a coupled of rounds of infirmary singing the song of calm before dropping the sorting hat in the hand of Mcgonagall and taking his place on Harry's shoulder, who sroked his plumage.
Dumbledore stood stunned for a minute before saying "I think Hogwarts agrees to your suggestion Harry" on inside however he was cursing the last heir of two founders for messing with his plans.
Snape seeing that he was going to lose two of his students interrupted "Headmaster I don't think this is necessary surely they are only exaggerating the events that took place" as he glared at Harry.
Susan snorted saying "Professor Snape, we have no reason to do any of that now do we? But if you would like I can call my auntie here so you can have a full investigation on this matter would like that?"
Before Snape could say anything Dumbledore stopped him by saying "That won't be necessary Ms. Bones" he didn't want to involve the Auror.
"Regardless Professor an investigation will be done as it is serious crime," said Susan which made Dumbledore flinch as he thought about the mess it was going to be.
He nodded sighing before turning to Mcgonagall and saying "Minerva now if you please do this so we can get on with the day"
She smirked and made her way to Tracey gestured her to seat on the table as she put the hat on her. As she did the hat said "Hmm! A resorting something I will be doing after 60 years last was Dorea Black!" few minutes the Hat roared "RAVENCLAW!" with a smile Tracey stood beside her best friend
Unnoticed to everyone Fleur's eyes widened but she stayed quiet as McGonagall placed the hat on Daphne's Head.
'Hmm…. So I was correct to put you in Slytherin but why the change?" Daphne heard in her mind just like in her first year.
"I am…not safe in that house I would like to be somewhere safer," she said looking at Harry and added in her mind "somewhere with him"
Hat chuckled and said, "Ah the child of Godric and Rowena, I must say you certainly have enough courage to be in GRYFFINDOR!" to this Fawkes trilled the song of Happiness.
Well what do you think? i know all of you thought it was going to be Draco but give him some credit man he is slytherin man and that to Best of them! doing anything directly to the Hieress of another Noble House without consequences.
