Axccel: I think it has to do with it being visually acceptable and that is what they did in the movie. at least for me it is more about Harry trying a spell he didn't understand but was the best one he had in his arsenal and so it was weak and didn't affect the way it should.

Feb 23rd
Harry was not happy cause he was not getting any time with his Fiancee's because of Headmaster declining cause it was against school policy and reasoned that he can meet Sirius & Remus at Hogsmeade weekend. Harry wanted to protest but he couldn't as he wanted to keep news of him being betrothed silent.
Also, his plans to meet Daphne's parents were postponed as her family was currently in their native country Switzerland for some business related to vineyards and wand groves there as they were in the expansion phase of their business.
But that was the reason given to the world as Daphne received the letter informing her about the death of her paternal grandmother. Daphne was not that close to her grandmother but the blow came at a bad time which made her trauma recovery even harder
So it was only in summer vacation that they would be able to meet. Daphne was not in a good place but Harry's Swimming practice helped her a bit.
Flashback
It was the day after his talk with their talk with Dora that morning Harry was ready for his first swimming lesson, he was terrified.
As he made his way down to the common room he saw Daphne seating alone on the couch staring into the hearth. Making his way over to her he asked "Hey, you okay?"
She turned to him with a sad smile saying "Hey I am….. Okay…ish? I don't know anymore how I am"
He sat beside her and gave her an arm hug asking "Where are you close to her? Your grandmother?"
"No, but she was still family so it still hurts" she answered nuzzling in the crook of his neck.
He tightened his hold around her shoulder before standing up saying "You need some air come on let's go I need to train anyway"
She sighed saying "Yeah there is no harm in taking a morning stroll" standing up and following Harry out of the portrait hole.
As they reached the entrance lobby Susan was waiting for them like every day. She looked at Daphne giving her a sad smile saying " Hey, Daphne okay, there?"
Daphne simply nodded to her question. She turned to Harry giving him a teasing smile asking "So ready for the swimming practice champ?"
He nodded saying "Yep let's go," he said taking the lead while Susan and Daphne followed him Daphne smirked saying "He doesn't know does he?"
Susan giggled saying "No and it's going to be a month of fun mornings"
As they reached the lake Dora and Fleur were already there waiting for them. Harry made his way to both of them and kissed them. Dora smiled saying "Okay ready for your first swimming lesson?"
Harry looked at Fleur saying "OUI!"
"Okay then first for the useful spells and charms. The first one you should know is warming charm which by the way all three are shiver you don't so here let me help" she waved her wand applying the charm to all three 4 year students.
The effect was immediate as all three felt warm to which Harry said "Well that would have been useful to know"
"Yeah any more and I would have turned into an ice statue," Susan said
Dora smiled saying "Yeah you learn it next year along with the Bubblehead charm which helps you breathe underwater. The incantation is 'Sanuspirantes' to apply just point you're and on your head saying the incantation. Okay now you try it"
Harry, Fleur, and Susan nodded trying the charm two to three-time before getting it right. At which point Dora clapped her hands together saying "okay now that's done Now let's get started with the main event" as she unclasped her robes to reveal a hot pink bikini underneath an action which Fleur and Susan followed.
Fleur was dressed in a silver one while Susan chose a yellow one.
Seeing all three of them in the scandalous clothing Harry turned atomic red and was stunned speechless as he stared at all three.
All four giggled seeing his state and Fleur smirked as she made his way to him walking seductively asking "See something you like, Mon Amour?" huskily
Harry nodded and tried to answer but couldn't and seeing this Daphne chuckled saying "I think you guys broke him"
"Mission Accomplished" Susan chirped while she was blushing red under her fiancee's stare. She wanted him to see her more than anything but she was still not that comfortable with doing anything more than kissing and teasing him.
At the same time, Dora was smirking and doing her best to hide her blush with her abilities. oh, it was not the first time she was being stared at but being stared at by Harry was something she wanted unlike other men in her life. She loved the attention he gave her more than anything else in the world and seeing him stunned by her beauty was just a cherry on the top. She wanted to do much more but she didn't want to rush Harry into doing something he was not comfortable with besides she wanted him to take initiative for anything he wanted in their relationship.
Daphne didn't know what to do but saw Harry's expression and she couldn't help but feel a little pang of jealousy that he was not staring at her like the other three women around her. She didn't know why but she wanted Harry to see her in a bikini outfit she was confused why she felt like this but she just wanted his attention, his appreciation, and everything else he could offer.
Harry was too busy looking at the 3 semi-nude goddesses. His eyes roamed to Dora and her hourglass figure to Fleur's blemish-free skin and her perfectly proportionate slender figure. To the milky white and juicy skin of Susan along with her seizable bust which almost made him drool.
Fleur chuckled as she undid clasps of Harry's cloak letting it pool behind him. She backed away to see him in his Black swimming attire. All four women gave a low whistle as they ogled their boyfriend/fiancee/ savior. They reveled in the sight of his muscled body in tight clothes. The look of hunger was apparent in eyes of all four of them
All five of them were staring at each other for quite a while before Daphne came back to her sense blushing with her whole body as she thought 'He is so HOT!'
She was not alone as Fleur too came to her senses she shook her head trying to fight an inevitable blush thinking 'Merde, 'e looks so so…' her thoughts were cut by Dora saying "Delicious" to which she nodded unconsciously
Dora finally cleared her throat saying "Okay let's start the lesson shall we?" this brought Susan and Harry out of the trance as they blushed nodding and that started a month of teasing and sexual tension between all 5 of them. Which for Harry was a mixture of hell and heaven.
End of Flashback
Harry shook his head from the nostalgia as he couldn't afford to be distracted today.
He was also surprised to his core when at last Hogsmeade's weekend visit Sirius informed him of something that was both happy and sad at the same time. It seemed his parents screwed everything they did and left him to undo it.
Flashback
For all of the things, this was not what they expected. Harry, Fleur, Susan, and Daphne were now sitting with their jaws hanging so low that they touched the hardwood floor of Three Broomsticks.
Harry was first to recover from the shock and ask "Sirius can you repeat yourself cause I think my ears are hearing things that are not real!" to which all three girls nodded.
The older man chuckled saying "I too thought that was the case Pup but you heard it right, Draco is not Narcissa's son. In reality, he is the son of Lucius and his squib cousin who lives in a flat in Knockturn Alley. Now I know this cause Cissy wants out of a marriage and I will give it to her seeing she suffered much from being a trophy wife of that golden-haired pounce"
Daphne asked "Of course, it is but will he let it go? I mean who knows how will he react knowing you annulled the marriage?"
Sirius sighed nodded saying "No I don't think he will not let it go either he would challenge me for a duel. Either way I would take him on and if push comes to shove" his eyes hardened
Harry smirked saying "Go on Sirius bring her back let the older pounce be damned!" this earned him swats from all three witches as they said in unison "Language!"
He groaned "Ouch!"
Sirius commented "Whipped"
Harry was quick to Retort "Shut it Mangy Mutt"
Present Day
That was just a week ago. Sirius annulled the marriage contract based on neglect, abuse and not giving an heir to house black which was one of the conditions of the marriage contract.
Narcissa Malfoy was no longer, it was only Narcissa Black. Harry didn't know her but he knew she was not a bigot like everyone was led to believe if anything she was like her sisters. A kind-hearted woman wronged by her parents. He looked forward to meeting her in the summers.
Harry was not able to meet any of his older fiancee's and it bummed him out hard. He was to marry all these women but still, he was not able to spend time with them due to stupid school policies. But one thing he was sure about was that he cared for all of them and was only now beginning to understand the concept of love which was foreign to him until he met Fleur.
He loved her and what he said was true but it was him who trying to understand all these new feelings he had for Susan, Daphne, Dora, Bella, Rose, and Amelia.
All these thoughts were rampant in his head as he lay on his bed in dorms. In the past month, he was continuously trained to swim and breath underwater by Dora and Susan. Fleur was regular in those sessions as she wanted to increase her resilience underwater.
The training had its perks as he was greeted by sights of girls in bikinis which was both a blessing and curse as he was teased by all of them especially Dora about how he stared at them.
But what was a hot-blood teenager to do? Even Harry Potter was a human and as such had urges like any teenage boy and constantly being surrounded by women had some effects on him. Still, in terms of physical relationships with ladies, it was only deep kissing that was quickly turning his hunger for carnal pleasure but the fear of intimacy was much more than his desire. He was blessed to know that girls were not ready either for those things.
Tomorrow was the day of the second task it was nerve-racking for him for two reasons. First was the task itself and second, was Fleur's family was coming to watch the task so it was given that they would meet.
It was not that he was meeting them the first time, no, it was just that he was meeting them the first time as Fleur's boyfriend. He knew her father was a kind man but still a father nonetheless. So It was decided by Sirius that he would personally invite Delacours to Black Manor.
Shoving all those thoughts aside Harry focused on sleep as he had a task ahead of him tomorrow.
Feb 24th
Waking up a little late as he would need his strength for the task he made his way down and to the common room only to find Hermione and Neville sitting on the couch near the fireplace waiting for him.
Hermione saw him first and jumped from the couch to hug him.
She asked "Nervous?" he gave a small smile nodding.
Neville added, "about what task or meeting Delacours?"
Harry chuckled little and answered "Both?"
"Seriously Harry you killed a basilisk and a chimera yet you are afraid of the parents of the girl you love?" Hermione teased him.
He shook his head saying " 'Mione a parent is much more dangerous than any creature in the world and only a bloke can understand that fear, right Nev?" he turned to his fellow Gryffindor who nodded in support. That's when the whole Quidditch team entered the common room.
Twins came first patting Harry on his shoulder saying
" Good luck Harrikins.." George started
"….for the task and do your best….." Fred
"…but try to score at least 45 points….." George
"…..you see we have a bet and…." Fred
"…..lots of our money is on you" George finished
Harry snorted saying "Thanks guys I will try my best"
Angelina said "we know you will still, Best of luck" hugging him.
Harry nodded saying "Now I would like some breakfast before I take on the task" with some chuckles everyone and all of them made their way to Great Hall.
Once in the Hall, they made their way to Gryffindor's table. A few minutes later Daphne joined them as Fleur was having breakfast with her family as she told him last night.
Harry greeted her with a smile "Morning Daph"
The brunette witch smiled at the green-eyed wizard saying "Morning Harry" before sitting beside him.
Harry scanned the Hall not seeing Susan asked "Has anyone seen Susan?"
Daphne who was filling her plate said "Relax Harry she must be still in bed don't worry she will be okay"
Harry shook his head saying "I have this bad feeling about today"
As they completed the breakfast Dumbledore stood up from the head table and Announcing "Champions please come to the tent near the site of the Second Task"
At that, Harry said goodbyes to his friends and made his way to the tent near the black lake.
As he was going to the tent he saw 3 giant multi-story stages floating in the middle of the lake. As he entered the tent he saw Sirius standing near Alain and Apolline Delacour while engaging in a conversation. He looked on another side to see Madame Maxim talking with Karakroff and Dumbledore.
While another man and woman were looking worried towards the entrance. While Barty Crouch Sr was talking to Ludo Bagman who noticed him and said loudly "Ah! One of the Champions is here" the whole camp had eyes on him.
Alain and Sirius smiled at him as he walked towards them, Harry greeted them "Hey Sirius, Mr. And Mrs. Delacour it's great to see you again" with a dry mouth as he shook Alain's hand and brushed his lip on her knuckles.
Alain smiled greeting him back "Hello Harry nice to meet you too and please call us Alain and Apolline"
Sirius smiled asking "Hey Pup ready for the task?"
Harry sighed saying "well I a, as ready as I can b."
Before he could finish he heard " 'Arry" from behind only to find a very worried and panicking Fleur coming towards him panting and gasping for air. He also noticed Viktor was in similar condition.
Fleur asked, " 'ave you seen Gabby?"
Harry was confused and so he asked "What? No, I have not. Fleur, love what is going on?"
"She is missing since morning I 'ave been looking for 'er since morning" Fleur stated in a panicked voice.
Harry now understood why Apolline looked worried and then a thought made his heart sink before he could say anything Ludo Bagman Started "Ah all three champions are here let us proceed the Stages in the middle of the lake shall we?" everyone exited the Tent following the host.
Harry took hold of Fleur's hand saying "Love I have a hunch where she might be but I hope that I am wrong" with that both of them left the tent.
They reached the stages Harry saw earlier in boats. After reaching there Ludo Bagman started "Welcome to the Second Task of the Triwizard Tournament Ladies and Gentlemen. For this task, Our champions have to save their friends who are under the Black lake somewhere and they are asleep from sleep. For Mr. Krum it's Ms. Ekatarina, Ms. Delacour it is Ms. Gabrielle and for Mr. Potter, it is Ms. Bones. Now on the fire of cannon, they can dive and start the task"
All three of the Champions paled when hearing what they had to retrieve from the lake. Fleur had an angry and determined expression which was mirrored by Harry and Viktor.
As the canon fired Harry and Fleur applied the Bubble-head charm on their head and dived in the dark murky water of the lake.
As they entered the water Harry's vision was blurry. It took him a minute to adjust then it became clear he looked around for the other two only to find Viktor swimming in a direction he used partial transfiguration as he was half-shark and his lower half was of human. He turned to Fleur motioning her to fall him.
He started to swim in the direction of the Mervillage on the far left side of the lake. He kept glancing at the side to make sure she is with him. They came near a thick weed bed in their path it was the quickest way to get to the village and right now nothing else mattered more than saving hostages.
They started into the weed bed as they went deeper into the dense weed the light became more and more scarce. Suddenly a shriek went through the water, Harry turned to look for the source only to shriek himself as he felt a strong tug on both of his legs only word came into his mind, Grindilows
Suddenly a light shone in the murky water which illuminated the area. It was from Fleur's wand who cast "Lumos Maxima!" and gave looked at him saying "I weel 'andle ze light you get rid of zis creatures" her spell was working yet the light was dimmer than it should have been, Harry knew being in the water was affecting her magic so he got to work.
He threw a banishing curse at the Grindilows tugging Fleur and then threw one at the group tugging him. The creature let them go but in an instant started circling them and attacking them. The number of creatures grew and the spell light cast by Fleur was weakening her as under she needed to use much more magic to sustain it than usual.
It was then that worse that could happen did happen. Fleur started to lose her consciousness due to draining her magic to such a point still she had to go on she had to save her baby sister but her resistance was futile.
Then a sound of burst brought Harry's attention to her only to see her unconscious and floating in the water. He screamed "FLEUR!" as he started swimming towards her.
He was blocked by the group of Grindilows but he took care of them with a strong 'Depulso!'
Reaching her and taking her in his one arm while pointing his wand at the surface shouting "Ascendio!"
The spell made him thrust with Fleur in his arms upwards and within a minute they broke the surface. Harry swam to the nearest platform as soon as he could and pulled Fleur up with help from Neville and Hannah.
"Get her to madame Pomfrey she was unconscious underwater. I will complete the task and bring them back" without wasting time he went back underwater with the single goal of saving all the hostages.
Unlike before he was quick to make his way to the weed bed and entered without an ounce of hesitation. Just like before he faced Grindilows.
He didn't have time to waste on them so he shouted 'SUSPENDISSE UDAM!' spell which stunned all the grindilows in 10 feet of diameter around him. Then he sent an overpowered banishing charm in front of him to clear the path.
It worked as the weeds parted, he grinned but time was not his friend as the weed was coming in place slowly. So he had an idea, he put his wand arm at his such that wand tip was pointing the same direction as his toe casting 'Aqua Impulsus!' a spell he learned from Bella which was used by the mermaid hunters which would thrust them in the water at great speed for a short distance.
The jet of water shot from his wand and it had desired effect as it propelled him forward almost through the weed bed but he stopped just a few feet short of getting out as the path he made was now gone.
He repeated the process once again and he was out of the weed bed. As he came out he watched the Mervillage in awe.
He had heard about the village from Hermione but seeing it was a different experience altogether.
He saw the houses build or rather carved in the stones of the lake and the town was sparsely populated with the Merpeople. He shook his head as he saw 3 people chained to rocks in the middle of the town square, he cursed himself for musing in such a situation.
He made his way to the hostages. He saw Gabby and Susan along with a girl who looked the same age as Gabby and somewhat like Viktor. Who was no were to be seen. He decided to wait for him but it was only a minute later that a said champion came, without stopping freed his hostage, and was made his way back to the surface.
Harry was quick to work and cast a quick 'Diffindo!' cutting the weed which was wrapped around Susan's ankle who was asleep to his relief.
He then moved to Gabby he was about to free her as Merman came between him and Gabby, pointing a trident on his throat saying "Veela stays"
This did not go well with Harry as he was not going to let Gabby die so he threw a banishing charm at Merman.
He made his way to Gabby cutting her weed the same way he did Susan's. As he did he took Gabby in his arm and Susan in his other but by then the mermen were circling him.
His priority was the safety of girls with him. So he shoved them up as merman came towards him with tridents as they were furious about the attack on one of their owns.
Harry dodged the first Merman's tridents by moving right but another one impaled him in his side he let out a shriek and then another in his left shin.
He fought through the pain yelling 'SUSPENDISSE UDAM!' freezing the horde of mermen and then started swimming upwards catching up to Susan and Gabby, who he took in his arms.
He didn't have much time as he was bleeding and blood loss would render him unconscious so he swam as fast as he could toward the surface. As he broke through the surface he heard Susan and Gabby wake up gasping for air.
Susan smiled at him while Gabby had a look of surprised glee on her face. Harry didn't notice those expressions on both as he was in too much pain but his mind was still focused on reaching the platform.
He started swimming towards them carrying the weight of Susan and Gabby. He left the weight-reducing in curiosity he glanced on his side only to find Susan swimming with him.
As they reached the platform Susan and Gabby were helped to climb on by Tracy and Alain while he was helped up by Neville who said "Hey mate you di…what the hell! Madam Pomfrey!" he yelled seeing Harry's bleeding state and felt as his friend fainted in his arms due to blood loss.
Madame Pomfrey came running to them hearing Neville shouting "Out of the way people I need to see my patient! Out of the way!" pushing the people aside and gasped seeing the state of her favorite patient saying "Put him down Mr. Longbottom", Neville did as she said putting Harry down on the floor.
Pomfrey quickly drew her wand and ran basic diagnosis charms on Harry looking up she said "Help me carry him to hospital" Neville nodded.
Pomfrey put him in stasis and Neville levitated his friend following Pomfrey. Susan and Daphne, also followed by Alain and Appoline who was carrying Gabby in her arms they were followed by Sirius and McGonagall.
Harry woke up 20 minutes later groaning opening his eyes he saw a familiar white ceiling that he viewed so many times over the years.
Next, he saw a jumble of red, silver and black hair as all three of his youngest fiancees hugged him saying " Hey girls…. Still hurt!"
All three released him immediately saying "Sorry" in unison making him chuckle while groaning from pain.
Before any of them could say anything Pomfrey came with a vial of potion which looked like diluted blood and gave him saying "Here pain-relieving potion down it and after that blood replenishing potion"
Harry's face grimaced as he took the vial and drank both the vial "can't make it taste any better Poppy"
"Mr. Potter you will not have to take those if you keep out of the trouble for the rest of the year" Poppy replied.
Harry snorted saying "Aw but you would miss me besides I don't go looking for trouble it finds me"
Poppy chuckled saying "Yes I am sure it does now as much as I would love to see you again Mr. Potter I would much rather not see you injured in my ward" and with that, she left.
All three girls came beside him. Fleur with teary eyes said "You saved Gabby!" caressing his face.
He replied with a soft smile as he said in a hoarse voice "Now what kind of boyfriend would I be if I can't take care of my girlfriend's sister" this made her chuckle and earned him a deep kiss from her.
Breaking the kiss Harry asked, "Are you okay?"
Fleur nodded and took his head saying "Oui, I am okay Ma Cheri, just magically exhausted nozzing zat rest can't heal" squeezing it.
Harry turned to Susan who was sitting on his other side asking "Are you okay Sue?"
Susan nodded swatting his shoulder causing him to wince saying "That is for being foolish strong-headed Gryffindor and not waking me up under the water, I could have helped you fight those things off" then kissed him deeply before parting for air and saying "and that is for always making sure I am safe"
Then a third pair of lips on his cheek, it was Daphne. Harry asked, "not that I am complaining but what was that for?"
Daphne giggled saying "nothing I didn't want to be left out" making him chuckle.
Suddenly a clearing of the throat brought their attention to others in the ward namely Sirius, Remus, Alain, Apolline, and McGonagall. It was the Deputy Headmistress who cleared her throat saying "Now Mr. Potter and Ms. Delacour I would like to give you your scores" receiving nods from both of them she continued "Ms. Delacour you got 42 points for showing a proper handling of bubblehead charm and Mr. Potter got 45 for his show of companionship and display of moral compass"
Harry wide-eyed asking "I got points?"
Susan smirked saying "Oui you completed the task just a minute before time ran out"
That's when Apolline Delacour turned to McGonagall asking "Madame who permitted to use our daughter as 'ostage for zis task wizzout asking us?"
McGonagall sighed saying "Madame Delacour the tournament and the tasks are handled by the ministry as such I don't have any information who did this"
Apolline once again asked "Zen who does cause putting one of my daughters in mortal danger for ozzer to save 'er is not a game" her arms started to grow feathers.
"That would be me Madame Delacour" came the voice of Dumbledore who had with him Fudge, Madame Maxime, Igor, and a woman dressed in pink from head to toe.
"Your daughter was never in grave danger as after an hour our Aurors would have retrieved the hostages, alas only the permission aspect was an oversite on our side which I am deeply sorry about"
Hearing this placated Apolline but she was still a little skeptical. Her feathers vanished as she calmed down and sat near Gabby who was sleeping on the bed.
Alain turned to Dumbledore saying "See to it that next time such oversite does not occur cause next time it could have grave consequences" he said in a dangerous tone.
Dumbledore smiled saying "I will mister Delacour" and turned to Harry saying "Ah! Harry my boy you were noble today just as always now we are here to announce the date of the third task only waiting for…."
He was cut by Ludo Bagman entering the hospital wing shouting "I am here! I am here" in-between panting and gasping for air. Dumbledore completed "Ah! As I was about to say waiting for Mr. Bagman"
Ludo gave a smile saying "Yes! Yes here I am, so champions the final task will be held in exactly four months from now that mean 24th June! See you then Champions!" with that he left in hurry and so did Dumbledore and his entourage.
Sirius made his way to Harry asking "Feeling Alright Pup?"
He nodded saying "Yeah just a little winded aside from that all good"
Alain came to him saying "It seems you 'ave a 'abit of saving people Harry, Oui?"
He turned to him and nodded saying "It's what my friend calls it 'saving people thing'" this caused all of them to laugh
"Harry zank you for both my daughters," Apolline said coming towards his bed. Harry shook his bed " it's not a big deal Ms…er…. Apolline I did what anyone would ha.."
Before he could complete Apolline cut him saying "But zey deed not and you deed don't undermine yourself short 'Arry" caressing his cheeks he nodded dumbly not knowing how to respond to the compliments while blushing hard.
Sirius clapped his hand saying "Well now that pup is okay I would like to Invite you Alain and your family to Black Manor for dinner"
Alain smiled saying "I accept your invitation Lord Black, after all, I would like to discuss some things I have seen with these four and I have a suspicion that this invitation is for that matter, am I right?"
Sirius nodded saying "You are Lord Delacour I will explain everything in the evening, so see you then" as he left for the manor.
At the same time, Pomfrey came to Harry's cot and looked at the 3 girls standing around him saying "You ladies go and get some rest yourself Mr. Potter will need to rest for him to be there for the dinner in the evening"
All three nodded and left the infirmary letting Harry rest for the day.
