Chapter 332 Evan's Recovery Time

"The Key to Gryffindor's Secret Treasure?!" Harry exclaimed in astonishment.

"We all know that the object left behind in the centaur colony holds a strong magical power, capable of enhancing our magical abilities. Sirius and Professor Lupin, with the aid of that object, created the Marauder's Map," Ron nodded, "Think about it, Harry! If we gain more magical power, we won't have to worry about the upcoming exams. Hermione and Evan, too, could make use of that object…"

"No, Ron," Hermione interrupted him firmly, "That would be cheating. It's not something we should do, absolutely not."

"What shouldn't we do? With the support of Slytherin's locket, Evan's magic has surged dramatically," Ron whispered, "I haven't heard you object to that…"

"This is different, Evan was already very powerful, able to control those sudden bursts of magical power, but we are not the same," Hermione gazed at Ron and continued, "Besides, he can pass the exam without relying on any magical object to cheat."

"But…"

"Don't bother thinking about it," Evan intervened, "Sirius just told me he thinks we should go to the centaur colony after all the exams, he also needs time to prepare the DADA exams for all the classes."

"Yes, I witnessed the discussion in his correspondence with Professor Lupin earlier," Harry added, "Sirius wants to test our real combat ability in the final exam. He has been very busy lately and seems to want to involve some dark creatures."

"I will help the three of you create a study schedule. If we start now, everything will be on time," Hermione pointed to a parchment with her wand.

She began with Evan, Harry, and Ron's lessons, along with specific arrangements for revision.

"Agreed!" Ron said frustrated, "I just made a suggestion. Since Sirius didn't get the object, it doesn't necessarily mean we would either."

"No one knows what will happen without trying," Evan whispered, his eyes shining.

The truth was, after witnessing Slytherin's practice in the deep ruins of the earth, he longed for Gryffindor's magic left behind. He wanted to see what the great wizard, as famous as Salazar Slytherin, had prepared for them.

"You know, it's probably easier said than done," Ron glanced at Hermione making a revision plan and whispered, "Since the four of us are Gryffindor students, theoretically, there is a chance to obtain that object."

"That's obvious!" he continued, "The Sorting Hat inherits some of the thoughts of the Four Founders and can see the innate qualities of young wizards. When it sorted us into Gryffindor House, it meant that all four of us have been acknowledged by Gryffindor, so the object left behind…"

That afternoon, Ron kept talking about it.

It was clear he was very concerned about Gryffindor's Secret Treasure Key, hoping to enhance his strength as quickly and easily as Evan did.

In fact, not only Ron but also Evan, Harry, and Hermione were very intrigued by Gryffindor's Treasure Key, and the rest of their conversation revolved around that topic.

It was more enticing than an adventure full of dangers and uncertainties.

They had met the requirements of the centaurs, and now it was time to reap the rewards.

After that day, Harry, Ron, and Hermione visited the school infirmary every afternoon. With Evan, they discussed and reviewed the exam content.

Hermione lent Evan her study notes from the previous year, which detailed the important contents of the second-year course and potential exam points. That greatly aided him.

Last year, due to the Basilisk incident, the end-of-year exams were cancelled by the school. These notes naturally had not been used.

Evan was certain that with Hermione's notes and his own quick learning ability, he would top his class and set a record score that would be hard to surpass.

As time went by, the school hospital returned to calm, but news of Evan's and Malfoy's injuries spread quickly throughout Hogwarts.

This event replaced the recently concluded Quidditch Finals as the hottest topic.

That afternoon, Goyle and Crabbe, riding the hippogriff Buckbeak, panicked and flew back to the school seeking help, being seen by many.

Everyone was very curious, wondering what had happened in the depths of the underground.

No relationship with Evan was simple. Would his opponents be merely Acromantulas this time? Or would there be more dreadful monsters?

Rumors and gossip spread quickly throughout the castle, especially after learning that Evan had saved Malfoy, Goyle, and Crabbe. Malfoy, besides being bitten by a spider, had also been affected by dark magic and was now at St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. The interest of all young wizards was at its peak.

It was common sense that Acromantulas were fierce and powerful, but they should never be capable of performing dark magic!

There must have been other more malevolent creatures inside that cave. Most thought Evan had defeated his opponent, once again overcoming an incredible adventure.

Under these circumstances, everyone hurried to the school hospital to see Evan, and get-well cards flew like snowflakes. Many girls wished for his speedy recovery.

Due to the large number of visitors who came to see Evan, the normal operation of the school hospital was affected, and Madam Pomfrey had to keep them all outside.

In the end, not even Harry, Ron, and Hermione could enter.

Everyone who wished to visit Evan had to obtain written approval from a professor. Evan never imagined he would be so popular.

Now he enjoyed the same treatment as books from the restricted section of the library.

Sirius prepared a lot of notes for Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Besides them, Evan also saw Hagrid, Colin, Ginny, Luna, and Cho Chang.

He did not expect to see Cho. She got Professor Flitwick's approval and sat alone with him all morning when she had no classes.

It was really boring to be alone in the room, so having a beautiful girl to keep him company was very pleasant for Evan. Naturally, he welcomed everyone warmly.

That morning, they talked a lot and got to know each other better...
