Crowley was fuming. "Enjoying yourself, mate?" His eyes were sharp as his long legs moved with intent. "Word with you." He cracked his neck, placing his hands on his hips. "Get up…STAND UP!"

Elliot stood from the bench he had been lounging around in. "Fuck." He stated under his breath.

3 hours prior

Cassi's leg would not stop bouncing no matter how hard she tried to control it. Her stomach felt hollow, her palms were a moist mess, and her heart, oh did she wish no one could hear her loud heartbeat. By no one she meant her demonic father and angelic father after all, both of whom had not the slightest clue on what was transpiring within their daughter. The family had gone out on a quick outing through the town, getting their attire ready for the ineffable wedding, picking up some decorations, and making sure they had almost everything as their fateful wedding date approached. Aziraphale had planned the wedding for the most part and all Crowley needed to do was be a good demon and do as instructed, although, by that point, he was an expert on doing what Aziraphale requested of him. "Nonono," Crowley pulled the remaining slice of cake towards him, "Let me finish at least one thing." He teased.

Aziraphale pursed his lips and huffed quietly. "Alright." He rolled his eyes. "I said I would make it up to you."

Crowley stuck out his tongue like a small child winning the simplest game against a wily opponent. "You alright?" He acknowledged his daughter who was sitting next to Aziraphale across the table from him. Upon noticing Cassi's lack of response, he turned around to investigate the source for his daughter's behavior. Crowley growled when he noticed Elliot in the distance. "Doesn't he have a fucking house? Always hanging around out like a fly."

Aziraphale looked behind Crowley. "Should we…?"

Crowley turned back to his family. "Erm," the demon stammered as part of him wanted to leave immediately without another word but another part of him, the part where his daughter's happiness spoke to him, decided to let her be. "Well, go on then." He sighed.

"Dad, um, are yo-"

Crowley crossed his arms. "Go before I change my mind." He raised a brow towards Cassi and bore an annoyed expression behind his glasses. "Unless you don't want to say hi to…him."

Aziraphale shrugged when his daughter turned to him for answers. The nephalem slowly got up from the table and made her way to her friend. "That was very kind of you, dearest."

"Shut up." Crowley growled and pushed the slice of cake towards the angel. "Not kind…just being a father." He sighed.

"Well, I think you're doing an excellent job at it." He forked the cake and began to eat it. "You'll be an expert by the time we have our other children."

Crowley licked his lips. "Chi-children? When did it become plural? I thought we agreed to discuss it in two years."

Aziraphale dabbed the corner of his mouth with a napkin. "We did." He smiled with a twinkle in his eye. "All I am saying is two children are no different than, I don't know, three or four."

"Four?"

Aziraphale pouted. "You don't want to? I think about it often."

Crowley stammered and shook his head. "Ho-how often, ex-exactly?" Aziraphale shrugged innocently as he ate the last piece of cake. "Angel, are you…do you think about it when we have sex?" The demon's eyes widened behind his glasses. "You do, don't you?"

"Not technically…and not all the time. Besides," he frowned, "I can't miracle one up on my own. It doesn't work. I'm afraid I will need you after all if I want more children."

"Ngk…you…you baby trapping angel, you." The demon chuckled. "Ah, so you did seduce me that night." Crowley sounded amused. "Asking me back to your place and getting me drunk. Tsk, how angelic of you, kissing me and feeling me up."

"You kissed me." He pointed between himself and his demon. "You tempting silly thing."

Crowley reached over and held Aziraphale's hand in his. "You're the tempting one."

They remained silent for a moment, letting the chatter of the people around become nothing more than an echo. "Stop gazing into my soul as if trying to find something horrid." Aziraphale spoke first, knowing his partner all too well, even if he was wearing his dark shades.

"Sorry." Crowley smirked. "It's just…I love knowing I am the only one who knows how this cherub turns into a demon." He squeezed the angel's hand.

"Cherub? I was the supreme archangel, dearest, and angel of the eastern gate." He let out a breath while feeling Crowley's thumb begin to rub soothing circles on the back of his hand. "Um, do you…do you perhaps, want to head home? I'm sure Cassi can find her way. What do you say, my love?"

Crowley shuddered at the sound of his bedroom pet name being called out. "Love?" he blushed.

"I do owe you." Aziraphale winked.

"Grounded again?" Elliot laughed as Cassi approached him. "How was hell? I hear it's lovely this time of year." He grinned.

"It was… erm, charming."

"I bet it was." He chuckled. "Just like you."

Cassi blushed. "Shut up."

"Coffee?"

"Please."

The pair walked to a nearby coffee shop where Elliot proceeded to order Cassi's favorite, one iced Americano, and a regular coffee for himself. "Oh, I got you something." Elliot searched through his jacket.

Cassi almost squealed when she was handed an autograph record of Billy Idol. Since the 80's, the era in which Cassi was still stuck in music wise, she had always regretted not using her miracles to go backstage to meet her idols. Although, there was a brief moment at a David Bowie concert where Mr. Bowie had made eye contact with her, and she could feel herself begin to discorporate. And if anyone asked, which her dad had when he diagnosed her passion for the time period, which was her absolute favorite song from, well, that time, her answer would always remain the same: As the World Falls Down. She had shown the movie, Labyrinth, to her parents and all because, when she was asked what kind of dress she wanted for their wedding, Cassi made it clear she wanted something similar to what young Sarah was wearing during the ball scene. However, it was suggested the dress looked too much like a wedding dress and, at Aziraphale's recommendation, it would be best to save that ensemble for when she would marry, which prompted Crowley to release a deathly stare.

"Planning on playing White Wedding at your parent's reception?" Elliot grinned.

"I doubt my papa would enjoy it, but my dad would not mind." She sipped her coffee as she read the back of the album. "Thank you." She said in earnest.

Elliot nodded and eyed Cassi for a silent moment. "I'm surprised hell did nothing to your parents."

Cassi looked up. "Oh? How so?"

"Pfft, well, their relationship is disapproved of by heaven and hell, not to mention it is technically forbidden and yet, hell, a room full of demons, let them leave just like that?"

"They wanted to speak to me. Wanted to know how bad I was." she giggled.

"Were they disappointed?"

"I believe so." She sipped her drink. "Demons are…a little…stupid?"

"I would say so if they let your parents walk out just like that."

Cassi bit the inside of her cheek and gathered her thoughts. "I wouldn't want to think what I would do if my parents were lost to hell or heaven. I don't believe I would be welcomed in either establishment."

"You will always be welcomed where I am, whether here on earth or some other planet." he winked.

Cassi blushed. "I don't think so." She mused at the thought. "I rather enjoy earth, just like my parents and I am sure, I would not be quite happy somewhere else. The humans make it worthwhile, for the most part."

"I don't know." He glanced around. "It gets too crowded sometimes and besides," he looked back at her, "the end is nigh."

"I'm starting to think it's all just a silly idea and maybe the ending is a long way away."

"Oh? I'm not sure about it. What with you changing the weather all over and me, accidentally, possibly, lifting the dead."

Cassi forgot to function for a second. "Wha-what do you mean by that?"

Elliot narrowed his eyes. "What? The dead?" He clicked his tongue. "A silly thing really. I might have," he rolled his eyes, "brought someone back from the dead not too long ago. Took me by surprise. Didn't think I could even do such a thing."

Cassi shook her head in disbelief. "Elliot…what do you mean?"

Elliot looked as confused as Cassi, both nephalems not understanding the implication of the other one. "You started it…with the weather, did you not?"

"Un-unintentionally but…um, how did you even know I was the one who manipulated the weather. I, myself, recently found out."

"Pfft, I might have, I don't know, tricked a little angel back in Soho to let me look over some files." He shrugged.

"You…you were in my parent's shop? When?"

"I'm not enjoying your tone of voice."

Cassi exhaled sharply. "When? Elliot?"

Elliot's eyes looked to the side, pretending to remember something he clearly had the information to. "The day you left for New York."

Cassi remained pensive as she eyed the nephalem across from her. "Why do you always appear out of nowhere?"

Cassi's question took Elliot by surprise. "Because I can sense you or have you forgotten? You're being…mindless Cassi. I'm not sure what's the problem."

"Even if you are far away, in another city, nay continent, I cannot sense you. Especially lately. So, it is not possible you are able to sense me just like that."

Elliot clicked his tongue. "Well, that is entirely on you, what with the love thing."

"What love thing?"

Elliot pointed up. "The weather. It does not work unless you are in love. Your feelings had to be all…jumbled first. Seriously though, did you not read the files? Surprised your angelic father hasn't fully analyzed them yet." Elliot took notice of Cassi's blank expression and sighed. "The end of the world cannot start without one of us being in love then it goes on from there. I gathered I would simply speed up the process for you."

Cassi closed her eyes, trying so hard not to crumble before that man. She felt her body tense and felt a strong sense of something within her.

Elliot reached out to hold her hand, only for her to snatch it away. "This is a good thing, Cassi. We start the end of the world, and we can always, I don't know, go off together."

"Go off together?"

"Yea, I mean. I've gotten used to you and it would be nice to have someone to talk to. Unfortunately, well, I mean, I cannot reciprocate your feelings, believe me I tried to tap into my angel side but," he shrugged, "it doesn't seem to work. How thoughtful of you though…to love me."

Cassi choked out a sob as she quickly stood. "You…tempted me?" Her voice was barely a whisper.

"Erm," Elliot looked up at her, "only because I had to. End of the world, remember? The war needs to happen. The angels and demons can have their silly squabble and afterwards, once they exhaust themselves, we, nephalems, can come on top. I have spoken to the others, and they agree."

"Others?"

"Oh, yea, there are more of us, only, you are the last one of our kind who is more angel than anything. We need you, Cassi, to balance everything out."

Cassi shook her head once more, not wanting to understand Elliot's words.

"Okay, fine, I apologize for tempting you but understand, we needed you to start the events of the war and like I said, I would do the love thing with you if I could but I'm too far gone."

Having heard the front door slam shut, Aziraphale retired from the library and made his way to the front entrance where he had no time to react as his daughter ran to him, buried herself in him and sobbed loudly. The angel embraced her tightly, wishing he could remove her distress. "What's wrong, my darling child?"

Cassi could not muster any words and simply wrapped her arms around her father, clinging to him.

"Shhh," he cooed as he swayed Cassi, "it's alright, darling, you're alright."

"He," her shoulders shook, "use-used me…to," she choked, "ssstart the war." She wailed loudly. "...tem-tempted me and…and," she hiccupped, "knew I-I…feelings…I…I don't want," another hiccup escaped her again, "I'm…so fucking stu-stupid…he was so ni-nice and I…I didn't lisssten…"

Aziraphale's hold on his daughter tightened as did his jaw. Meanwhile, Crowley, who had been standing by the door frame, closed his hands into fist, his nails digging deep enough to mark his palms.

Currently

"You think you're so clever, hmm?" Crowley's nostrils flared.

Elliot took a step back. "Don't know what you mean?"

"Oh? I reckon you do." He took a step forward, towering over the nephalem. "You boy," he smirked, "you wee baby demon who thinks he is as evil as Satan himself. You hurt my girl. My daughter…and I don't take that lightly."

"Lis-"

"Shut it." He removed his glasses, letting his yellow eyes help his intimidation although having a tall, powerful, angry, demon be up in your face was intimidating enough. Elliot was not afraid of things, not by a long shot, but for some odd reason, Crowley was the only being that made Elliot wither back. "I warned you not to go near my daughter." Crowley growled. "Oh, but that was your plan, was it? Make her fall for you. Tempting her at every encounter."

"It's not my fault she fell."

Crowley expressed a chilling grin. "Oh, yea? Imagine the thought of praying on an innocent lamb…charming personality on full display and acting shocked when they fall for it." He took another step forward and Elliot could feel the intensity radiate from Crowley. "I'm going to warn you a second and final time so make sure it engraves in your mind. If you so much as come near my daughter again…if you so much as follow her anywhere, again, I will be there too, making you wish hell would do the honors of punishing you instead."

"Are you threatening me?"

"No, boy. I'm instructing you. You know how long I've been around for, yea? I've dealt with angels, demons, a horde of angels, demons, a celestial war, supreme Archangels, and Satan himself and I've won. I've gotten the better of them. So don't think, even for a second, I will break a sweat dealing with something like you. Again, if you ever come near my daughter…no, no…if you ever even so much as think about my daughter ever again, I will find you and I will cut your tiny little cock off first before getting to the real punishment. And it will be fun…for me."

Elliot huffed; his whole being irritated by being threatened. "You're just a demon. I am both."

"You think I'm scared of angels? I was fucking one before you were fucking born. I created the bloody universe. I may be just a demon to you but… I'm a father. And I will do whatever is necessary to protect my daughter. Even if it means going up against every single thing in the universe and permanently costing me my life." Crowley could feel his patience of not discorporating the nephalem right then and there running out. As much as he wanted to, he knew it would make his daughter unhappy and that was something he rejected. "Right, now… piss off!"
